We popped in for a late lunch on Sunday, although they were short staffed the man carving the meat was friendly and efficient. Ann (our server) was rushed off her feet but lovely and so kind. Staff are a credit to the brand!

I had the best time in this pub/ restaurant it was great. Very welcoming and they had the most welcoming staff ever it was a pleasure to visit. We were working next door so this was our local for a few weeks and it couldn’t have been better. Food was amazing and staff were brilliant

The staff were welcoming and drinks service was good. There was a huge queue for the carvery and didn’t seem to be enough staff. The food was all over the counter tops and was cold. The restaurant itself is in desperate need of cleaning. The floor had visibly ground in dirt and the tiled floor was sticky. The toilets were disgustingly the doors were covered again in black dirt. Food average but sadly it has gone really downhill.

Fantastic service didn't get the lady's name said she's just back from holiday shame the food didn't match the service scraps of dry meat and had just opened metro centre or cleadon next time we fancy a roast sadly quality of food massively let's this branch down 👎

Went on 16/8/24, absolutely disgusting, put on table in bar, no service had to order at bar, meat was all fat, vegetables dried out , had to ask for Yorkshire puds and gravy was full of lumps, had to ask for table to be cleared and was told only 2 staff so would clear when they could, asked for puds and a chef said she would see if they had cream, she was filthy and hair uncovered and her words were, I diving kna if we have any I’ll have to look. They did have and puds were ok, won’t be back and we are regulars even go Xmas day normally.

We had what I would say a typical Toby lunch, my wife and I took my inlaws for lunch at 1pm we were greeted with a smile and and good afternoon, we were shown to our table and we all enjoyed a lovely lunch. Many thanks to the staff.

Appalled scrap bits of meat cold yorkshire pudding food only lukewarm black crispy roast potatoes swimming in fat,only had carrots,peas,cauliflower,mash potatoes,asveg choice large onions and macaroni cheese very disappointed with choice and presentation of food waited at food counter about 5 min before anyone came back very poor value for money will not be coming back.

Just missed breakfast so stayed for the lunchtime carvery, can’t fault the food and staff were friendly and helpful, happily checked with chef regarding ingredients. Will definitely return

This place has gone down hill over the years will not be going back the veg was cold the meat had a lot of fat on it beef the Yorkshire puds were flat and the service poor this was about 17.00 when we visited

The welcome, service and food were up to your high standard.and with special thanks to Rhianna our waitress. The opportunity to have a Sunday lunch could not be missed and we were not disappointed. We go regularly, sometimes with our whole family but today just my wife and I.

Waiting staff were nice. One young lad was quite rude. But he thought we'd helped ourselves to carvery. But had infact gone for veg as my lad hadn't put any on to start with. Sandwich had no butter on. And as I ordered cheese, n chutney wouldn't have been an issue. But no chutney. So very dry. Side salad was smothered in a vinegarette. And I couldn't eat it. Perhaps need to remember to ask for no dressing in future.

Went today with my family, I had quite a big order so when I went to the till Alanah was so patient with me whilst I was trying to remember everything aswell as helping me sort my discount out. She was so nice to my little boy too. She was friendly and definitely went out of her way to help me, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was pleasant. We will definitely be returning. Thank you.

The food was cold when it arrived.The meat was a few bits of shedding not a carved piece of meat for what your paying it was absolutely disgusting value and I didn’t even eat it.

Went for Lunch last week. Food was great as always. Fresh and hot. Refill drinks are a must when you have kids. The host Steph was lovely and welcoming.

Server / carver could do with some training in terms of communication / dealing with customers. Perhaps should have expected veg would need freshening. Complained about pudding, which was worthy of complaint!

Spent 20 minutes listening to a female member of staff swearing and talking to a couple who were obviously her friends. My son decided to approach the bar to order drinks, but there was no-one to take his order, only a queue. When the waitress had finished talking, she turned to me and asked if I would like to order drinks, but too late. Food was not up to the usual standard, Yorkshire's were hard and tough, roast potatoes were not roasted. All in all, we felt like we were in the staffs way, as it was 8:10pm on a Thursday. And to think that I've been turned away from this carvery before, because I didn't book. Never again Will I visit the Kingston park venue, I think I'll try a competitors on the team valley.

Family celebration at the Toby, really enjoyed the Sunday Roast, food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and attentive .

We arrived at 8.30pm were sat immediately, we ordered a drink and made our way to the carvery. The meat was brilliant, cooked and tasted perfect. However NO mash potatoes told the chef has no more for today !! What a carvery with no mash potatoes, roast yes but they were very greasy but no carvery has no mash surely. Unfortunately when starting to eat we both admitted it was luke warm and the gravy not close to warm. Whilst appreciate it closes at 9am surely food should be kept hot and topped up until finished. We will NOT be back again, had been on hospital visit and thought we would give it a try. Totally disappointed.

Just came for a hearty meal and was impressed as always with the quality of the food and the staff especially our server Alana who was funny and very nice. She was also really helpful when it came to using a discount code we have We will definitely be back again as the staff and food are always mint

Not bad, been a while not changed much

The service is just not great. The meat portions are small and the vegetables are often undercooked. The tables feel sticky and the food is below average.

The carvery absolutely was lovely, and Ann who is fabulous looked after me and my Granny! Definitely will be back again😊

I've given Five stars all round. Staff were excellent, friendly and really pleasant. I called in today not for food but just for a coffee with my mother and my son. Really pleasant atmosphere with a great mix of people of all ages. Would highly recommend this Toby. The whole place was immaculate including the gents. The food looked absolutely amazing. Next time we go we are most definitely having the carvery. With being not able to walk very far I managed to park in a disabled bay and displayed my Blue badge. Sadly some absolute " IDIOT" in a huge Tesla parked so close to my car I cannot understand how they managed to get out. My son had to squeeze into my car to drive it out of the disabled bay for me to get access to my car. Nothing to do with the Toby, they are not responsible for IDIOT irresponsible drivers that park without thinking about disabled drivers. Had I not been with my mother if have went back into the pub to tell said IDIOT DRIVER exactly what I thought of him or her!!

Food ok, the tall blonde waitress I find very snooty and seems to have an attitude so much so that my husband had noticed it too I noticed it on the first visit but thought I'd give the benefit of doubt and go a second time! Wont be returning as feel uncomfortable around someone who shows such an attitude towards us!

The veg selection is disgraceful for the price, carrots & peas & a small bit of cauliflower, nothing like the selection when you go ! & the roast potatoes burnt !

Cold veg, meat as thin as paper, roast potatoes that are overcooked. Been here about 4 or 5 times and never had a decent meal yet. Beer is cold and nice, price is ok, staff are nice...but food is terrible

Lovely food and lovely staff. Had very nice carvery meals (one regular, one meat free) and both were very nice. We also had the honeycomb dream sundae to finish, which was very nice indeed. A special mention for one member of staff - Tracy, who always goes the extra mile and does so with a smile 😃. Highly recommend a visit.

Grace was phenomenal. With her beautiful smile and friendly demeanour, she doubled our enjoyment of the yorkie pork wrap. Gravy to die for, I could drink that by the bucket! Thanks Grace, thanks Toby!

Really disappointed with tonights toby, all the meat i was given was dry ends or all fat. The potatoes were rock solid, stuffing and can of pop were missing, mash was like water

I have given the food 4 stars only because I’ve been eating here for the past 6/7 years & always been really good food but the past two times the beef has been undercooked & when it was being cut blood came out, & I know some people like to eat it like that but I don’t so had to have turkey which was good, the staff has always been brilliant never had any problems

Went in for takeaway staff were nice but could not get your own carvery it was potted up asked for large 3 meats got 2 meats and only potatoes 3 burnt roasties carrots and cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire

Chose to sit in bar and bar service was fine from a polite dark haired lady. Unfortunately no stuffing ready for turkey carvery. Carving chef when asked advised it would be a few minutes, which was communicated appropriately. However while adding veg to my plate she was heard asking the other chef who was replenishing how long for stuffing, his reply was they'll have to be patient it's busy cooking! Made me feel I'd asked for something I shouldn't have! Not what I expect to be honest. Chose Apple pie for dessert but no ice cream accompany bit bit

Pay one price and eat what you want...ok if busy so food is moving out quickly but if slow things like fried eggs get hard yolks.

Booked a table today, then when I turned up there was no front of house to guide us to our tables so we found a table by ourselves… waited ten minutes and still no greeting or even a menu from staff !! This is shocking considering how many staff passed us.. ended up leaving and going elsewhere for food! Avoid like the plague

We booked online. We requested a booth near carvery due to mobility issues. We arrived and got welcomed and seated straight away. Gracie our server made a point of talking and including each member of our group especially our 10 year old son. The whole place was spotless. The experience of the servery was top class. The food was beautiful. The pudding amount was awesome. We didn’t wait long to pay which was smooth and stress free. I can’t explain how easy and fulfilling our experience was. Your server Gracie was 10 out of 10 for friendliness, customer service, efficiency, with a beautiful welcoming smile. She definitely deserves recognition. Well done. We will most certainly be back.

You always know what you’re getting at a Toby but they do it so well. Great value and plates full (then empty) and our server Gracie was lovely.

Alana was a lovely girl who really did her very best to provide a fantastic service, even spotting when one of our party's meals was substandard and taking appropriate action. However, there was no avoiding the fact that the food and choice of food on the buffet was not to the standards of other Toby Carveries. We visited at the end of the day, whether this made any difference, I don't know. Alana, 5★, overall, 3★.

Food was absolutely disgusting freezing cold and stated in the comments for mac and cheese we didn’t receive any the food was basically just full of cauliflower cheese hardly no much and mountains of carrots won’t be ordering again the presentation in the carton was disgusting just look like it was thrown together

No.1 of all the Toby's in my opinion. The original! End of! If you want a Toby you goto Kinky Park. Friendly, welcoming, warm, comfortable. Staff are always on point, very accommodating. Food and drink 5* I might be biast, it being my local but it is genuinely and always has been, a damp good place to go.

Food isn't the best now. It's used to be much nicer. If you like a rubbery egg and a burnt sausage you should definitely pop here for breakfast. There was also a couple of people in their pjs which really classed the place up.

food was all cold on arrival so had to all be reheated. Yorkshire was ice cold in the middle. Did call the restaurant to request horseradish and was told they would add it to the order but this didn't arrive. Way too many carrots aswell. meat was lovely tho. For the price I did expect more quality and presentation.

Had the carvery and it was OK and that's it. £4 more because it was bank holiday for OK food is a bit off. Staff were helpful and friendly but I can see why it was quiet. Only saving grace was a decent pint of guinness.

Went here on two Saturdays within a month , they advertise every where roast lamb on a Saturday no lamb on both occasions s , I asked for a n extra bit of beef instead , the chef was rude and said no the options size wa what you would feed a 5year old child .it use tobe alot better here

The food was cold and everything was packed in a small container together. Everything was just mashed in with everything else. It said on the containers do not reheat and I had to reheat anyway cos it wasn’t even tepid

Working away for the week and Rachel working on the bar made it far more enjoyable than it could have been.. very helpful with our food ordering, had a great laugh at the bar and made us feel right at home. 5 stars for Toby Carvery... 6 stars for Rachel at the bar!!

Just after 3 p.m., there was no lamb today; the chef had deceived us into believing there would be a discount. At the end, been robbed from a staff on the till saying that there is no discount so had to pay full price and they don't accept blue light discount.

I’m beyond disgusted at this point. Meal was missing 2 items , it also had something that we never ordered making it inedible. When I rang restaurant they were apologetic but trying to get a refund here is proving to be a joke.

This is like any other toby carvery but we love the fact that there are little rooms and sections everywhere that makes it feel a little like more private. The service has always been good this must be the 8th time we have gone- live local and you get lovely drinks ice cold drinks too. The food is lovely sometimes can run out but it’s normal and no one dies but the gentlemen working behind the meat counter work very hard. Well done and thanks.

Alana is amazing, get seen by her whenever we go in and she’s in. My two boys love her, very friendly and welcoming. Husband also loves the Mac and cheese.

Our Sunday carvery was delicious, a generous helping of meat a a great choice of vegetables. The roast potatoes were very tasty. Good friendly service too.

Absolute garbage, came in for Full English Breakfast, no mushrooms, no black Pudding, no fried bread. This isn't a full English, won't be back.

Bit disappointed today, arrived and no staff to be seen. Waitied over 10 minutes and even had a walk round, none to be seen. In the end I rang the venue on my mobile (as the phone was behind the bar) and a member of staff came out. Food was good but chef was rushed off his feet not able to keep up even though the venue was relativly quiet.

Food not that hot, I opted for the beef and it was full of fat, by the time I had picked it all out my dinner was cold. There are better quality options available for similar prices.

No criticisms we can think of. Food and service were both very good. Served immediately and staff at Kenton Bank seem better than other Toby Carvery locations I have visited.
