Toby Carvery in Birmingham

Came with friends today and was not disappointed Fresh veg always replenished and hot The meat was juicy and well presented The lady that was carvery was really nice and welcoming even with only speaking breifly with each customer Along with our server Molly attending to all our needs and requests All the staff seemed lovely and really made our visit that bit better

was a lovely night tonight had a really good meal and the service was absolutely excellent would definitely recommend bringing friends and family here

As a regular refugee from Park House Toby - now a Browns Bar! Streetly Toby is truly superb. They deserve a huge "pat on the back" imho.

Went there for lunch... Coffee was cold had to ask for another HOT cup.. Carvery was not good parsnips like rubber roast potatoes hard..no gravy in bowls.. hardly any condiments left ..dirty surface around Gravy Area.. very disappointed as we are regulars there.. usually everything is 100% today I really don't know what happened?🥺🤔

Just returned from lunch, food was absolutely delicious

I was really disappointed with the carvery served this evening was fatty and chewy. Furthermore the vegetables were not up to the usual standard.

Lovely meal , staff were working flat out as toby offer was on. Our waitress molly was really nice and helpful. Excellent service.

The staff were friendly and table’s were clean. The carvery was amazing it’s been a while since myself and my husband have been out and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Molly was a fantastic host, and made us feel very comfortable. She went out of her way to answer any questions we had, and checked in a few times to make sure we didn't need anything.

Molly was was very attentive to our needs. The food however could have been a lot more enjoyable if it was hot as opposed to just warm

Inconsistencies with the meat made are the experience less enjoyable but the staff were so friendly and attentive that it made it worthwhile. Turkey didn't look appealing, picture doesn't do it justice because it looked slimy and the beef was really dried out. Disappointed that the passion fruit martini is out of a can but the rest of the side dishes were good. The building needs some maintenance because the window trimmings and wood trim is rotten and falling off. Didn't take pictures of the trim because people were sitting next to the windows.

Having thought the demise of Sutton Park Toby was due to the massive drop in standards over last few years, having seeing better accounts of Streetly Toby I thought would give it a try. Although decor, cleanliness better, afraid the experience was not. Greeted by a quite surly front of house lady were then allocated our table. Having the Sunday carvery the meat was very thinly sliced, lamb and turkey, and although a fair choice of vegetables and after adding the gravy, upon eating found everything to be luke warm at best. There were 3 types of roast potatoes, sage and onion, beef dripping and normal, all were tasteless and more like boiled potatoes no crispness or flavour whatsoever. The roast parsnips, carrots were undercooked, stuffing devoid of flavour. Worst of all the food, only recently having been replenished was COLD. As is obligatory a server asked how was the food, she was told this, and to be fair she did offer that she could heat up in microwave or replace our platter, I don't want microwaved heated food at a restaurant and food is not going to be hotter if just dished from 5 minutes earlier. Final nail in coffin for me, never going to a Toby Carvery again, I think the whole chain is declining, living on past glories and can see it being next big chain to fold.

We had a wonderful experience at the Streetly Toby Carvery. The food was delicious and the staff member Donna gave us fantastic customer service on our visit, she was very friendly throughout our visit.

Best toby carvery you'll ever visit . It was so busy on Sunday 22nd having closing down Sutton one. Everyone was under pressure but was fantastic 👏 quality of service & food never changes .

We ate for the first time here on 9th Sept 2024.The breakfast buffet was a real treat.Staff were friendly,place was clean and fresh.Unfortunately we incurred a parking fine as we were unaware of the parking procedure.However I contacted the staff at the restaurant who advised me that due to the circumstances the fine could be cancelled.Phew!! So on visiting just make sure you follow parking rules.And you should have a great experience.Thanks Stacey for your help !!!

Good feed for fifteen quid but slightly stingy with the beef and tough as old boots, good choice of vegetables but most of them boiled to death, no room left to try dessert. I think Toby carvery pride themselves on food that caters to pensioners. Good service and nice atmosphere, it is what it is I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️

Really good, Wednesday at 6pm,no queue for the carvery, and table service was very good. Friday-Sunday you'll need to book, and wait for the carvery, but worth it.

Streetly Toby is not my closest one, but the nicest one. Food is always nicer and all the staff are happy, chatty and lovely.

Great Sunday lunch with the extended family! The service (from Molly F) was brilliant and they were really accommodating putting two tables together as we were celebrating a birthday! Look forward to visiting again 😊

Absolutely brilliant service, Jodie sat us too our table & Leanne came straight to us to get our drinks order and came within seconds we amazed with her service. we went straight to the deck to our carvery. Elena was so helpful and was able to work around my gluten intolerance, letting me know which foods would be suitable. Half way through our fantastic meal our server sam came up and checked on us she was so friendly a real credit to the team. Thank you toby carvery streetly we will definitely recommend

Sad to leave a bad review because the front of house staff are lovely, but the standard of the food has dropped significantly in the last few months Had a few meals that were okay at best, but on my last visit I took a bite of a roast potato that was extremely rubbery and tasted bad enough to make me heave/feel sick - the inside looked grey and it was saturated with grease Will try again in a few months because this used to be one of my go to places to eat, but going to have to give it a miss for now

Family gathering for eleven adults with a finger buffet and hot drinks from 12:30 located in restaurant area closed off till 16:00 Buffet and staff were great and welcoming.top marks for Paige, Stacey and all staff. Visited today with family and I am writing this review entirely because of how wonderful Molly was. Molly was so kind and patient, personable and went above and beyond. Had breakfast here on Monday morning food was tasty and staff are friendly the same as whenever i have visited in the past 🙂

Sam was naturally lovely and very accommodating. We came for a birthday and we had a malfunction with our cake but Sam and the rest of the team went out there way to fix spruce up our cake. Very friendly and went the extra mile.

Disappointing. Had breakfast but let's say unloved. Bacon dry, eggs destroyed. Waited ages to get attention as only one person was taking money and cleaning up. It was late morning but there were still plenty of customers.

Got a delivery never again. Potatoes were so dry couldnt eat. Food was just thrown in container. We usually go to Bromwich which has always been great. Ordered at home for delivery not aware it was different branch. Waste of £36 in bin

I have eaten here once before and it was good, however this time it was really poor myself and my wife couldn't eat it. It was dry , tasteless very poor, even the meat when cut was so thin. VERY POOR.

Stayed at the travelodge next door and with it not having its own restaurant we popped in here for breakfast. I ordered a latte and toast, my wife ordered a breakfast and tea. My latte was served with chocolate sprinkled on top. Where I come from we call that a cappuccino. I asked for it to be made again. The toaster is the conveyor type with the controls locked off, so there is one setting. Put the bread in once, it comes our barely done, put it in again, it comes out burned. The breakfast wasn't much better. Why are there Yorkshire puddings and gravy being served with breakfast? The hash browns had been out that long they had started to go grey. There were mashed up roast potatoes from yesterday also available. Won't be back.

RUBBISH, ordered on uber carvery for 1 cheesecake £17.70, when arrived missing meat,missing cream from cheesecake, and had to pull string out my throat as was left from the joint of meat when carved, complained to uber took 4 emails to get a partial refund,called toby carvery to tell them,duty manager couldn't care less. Said all complaints to go through uber also meal was cold on arrival. Not the 1st time this overpriced food has been wrong from this carvery,my advice AVOID go elsewhere.

Food good quality as always, booked table but it didn't show on systems but had prove of booking and they still found a table for us at late availability

This has got to be the worst fry up I’ve ever had. Terrible quality produce, but that’s not the worst part. Every item is swimming in so much oil I’m surprised the USA hasn’t tried to invade and claim it. Restaurant untidy and littered with half eaten plates of food, should have served as a warning as to how inedible it was. I actually feel guilty for serving it to my child as her cholesterol has probably skyrocketed. Blonde lady behind the bar lovely and probably the only redeeming factor of the whole place. Edited to add: all 3 of us now seemingly have food poisoning, highly likely down to the food we ate here as we all got sick within an hour of each other.

All you can eat The breakfast is good. Although there are not many choices, all kinds of breakfast are available here and the price is cheap.

Nice and quiet. Polite staff, a sort of variety of food for breakfast (all you can eat). Carpark available.

This was such a disgrace i couldn’t get more than one serving of meat and that one serving they gave barley any meat.

Dirty and grubby. The breakfast was rank.Had to search 3 times for clean cutlery, all had dried food stuck to them. Dried up hash browns and mushrooms. Eggs hard and I requested the veggie sausages which when arrived were pale in colour and crunchy.....yes crunchy . It appeared to me they had been microwaved instead of cooked. Avoid this place. Wetherspoons is only 6 mins drive away..

Nice enough carvery. The standard of the food is higher than the other carvery’s in the local area. The servers were all friendly and chatty, and there is plenty of room

Went for Sunday dinner, even though it was reasonably busy the queues for food weren't long. Food was nicer than other carvery I've been to and service was quick. One of the best.

I have been in the parson yesterday and today I must say that the beer has been amazing 10 out of 10 I recommend the peroni nice and cold..NOT LIKE THAT BEER IN STOKE
