Husband and I always enjoy eating here. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Justin, owner, is great and always happy to chat. Atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Every meal we’ve eaten here has been well presented and absolutely delicious!! Would highly recommend

This place, the guys, the service, coffee, the food… It is all consistently amazing. In fact, I know we are really lucky in Altrincham to have so many lovely places to eat and drink, but for me the breakfast, brunch, and coffee, it’s unmatched.

We had a fantastic Xmas meal last week for our Stroke Peer Support Group. Justin, Jordan and the team were very friendly and made us very welcoming. A perfect afternoon!

Possible Altrinchams best place. Been three times and never once have I had any negative experience. DEFIANTLY GO AND TRY.

Our Stroke group just had our Christmas lunch get together here. I was so impressed!! The food was amazing, I had cod loin with smashed peas, the flavours were fantastic and it was beautifully presented. Portions were a good filling size and the deserts were very generous. I couldn't fault anything. The service was excellent and attentive, all smiles. The atmosphere was warm and cosy. Just an all round excellent place to unwind, dine and converse with friends. I can't wait to come back!!

Lovely staff & the boss took time to tell us the history of the beautifully designed and decorated building that is obviously loved in its new role. Fabulous fantastic and dog friendly. Cosy chairs amazing coffee, really nothing more to ask for on a frosty Saturday morning 😍

I usually love it here but wasn’t happy on this occasion. My mum was served burnt food that was completely black underneath. We told the waiter and fairly it was replaced but I was unhappy that they attempted to serve it to a paying customer in the first place. I usually like the relaxed atmosphere and am happy to pay the prices charged but if the food standard drops it instead just feels low-effort and silly paying that money. However this was the first time I have left feeling disappointed so if things are better next time I will delete my review.

Went for lunch with partner. Had the chicken and my partner had the goats cheese and both were superb. Not cheap but you get excellent service, good food, hot decent coffee and great ambiance. A few people also working from the restaurant so a great all rounder. Highly recommend.

I took 4 friends to TOAST today for lunch - none of whom had experienced the pleasure before.......... and WHAT A PLEASURE .The food and the service were second to none. I have to say that all the staff were so very attentive and didn't forget one single thing we asked for - even though they were extremely busy!Needless to say, my friends were well impressed and I breathed a sigh of relief - its always difficult recommending anywhere to people.It was just great - thanks to everyone, including the chef!! A regular eating place for us. Food is consistently good they will even fine tune your order to your preferences. The prissy waiter whose name is Jordan by the way is excellent attentive and very helpful. Can't recommend highly enough. The ordering system works great for us order your drinks then an extra few minutes to study the menu. Give it a try you won't be disappointed .

Had a lovely time and the owner Justin went out his way to look after us all. I would highly recommend. They serve a lovely lager on draft also.

After waiting 15 mins to order, we had an amusing altercation with a prissy waiter who wouldn't let us order food and drinks together. A first. We walked out and found somewhere else in Alty where the ordering process was less important.

Went here on a busy saturday afternoon and it was so lovely.The waiter that sat me down called jordon and served me let me know they were very busy and short on staff but i never once felt like i was waiting.The staff were so accommodating and friendly and the food was amazing especially the French dip. They even gave me a free drink as they said they kept me waiting longer than they wanted to.Would 100% recommend.

Today was my third visit to ‘Toast’ & it certainly lived up to my expectations! A really friendly atmosphere with beautifully interesting & immaculately clean surroundings. The choice of food was really interesting.I chose the jerk chicken thighs with pickled red onions @ some ‘posh!’ lettuce that I can’t remember the name of! It was absolutely delicious! I then chose the ‘Chocolate Orange Loaf’ which was just as good! The staff were wonderfully welcoming, cheerful & efficient. I was eating alone but it didn’t really feel like it because they were so friendly.My main waiter was called Jordan & his customer service skills were outstanding! A really lovely guy. I shall be back again soon with friends & also on my own again.Thank you & Best Wishes Laura

Arrived to a very welcoming atmosphere, sat outside, ordered a beer, and the scrambled egg and salmon. The beer arrived but unfortunately the staff forgot my food order (let’s be honest we’ve all had these moments), which was quickly remedied with a delightful plate of food (best salmon and scrambled egg I’ve had in an age). Best of all the owner said ‘it’s on the house’ (beer too!). I tried to insist to pay for the meal or at least the beer and they wouldn’t have it. Super friendly people, friendly atmosphere, delicious food… ladies and gents let’s raise a Toast!

Lunch visit with family (including 9yr old), service was brilliant, food was exceptional and reasonably priced for the quality. Not a vast amount of choice but we all had something different and thoroughly enjoyed it all :-) Looking forward to returning!

My first visit post lockdown to a restaurant since February 2020. Feeling like I’d just arrived from another planet I was greeted by the owner who seated me outside and was really helpful. I was presented with a fabulous Smoothie sitting outside in glorious sunshine and thought it’s time to venture back into the real world! Toast was a great step into reality. Lovely lunch at Toast today. Had a delicious rose wine and chorizo and prawns on toast, followed by the nicest carrot cake ever - all SO tasty. Service was fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Overall fab place, full marks for everything!

I met a few friends at Toast today and simply had to write a review. The food and coffee was excellent, the team were all clearly adhering to covid guidelines and were so welcoming, the venue itself is beautiful in decor and the food was flavoursome. I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend to anyone and is definitely my new place to go to when I visit Altrincham, The team there really couldn’t make our visit any better, it’s such a friendly atmosphere and being hard of hearing, I found it comfortable to have a conversation with my friends without struggling-even though it is a clearly popular venue. Wanted to chat, meet and eat with friends. Toast was the ideal venue... Loved it. Sardines on toast! Not as me grandma made them, felt quite shabby seen eating such a glamorous fish, so cleverly presented. Very proud was I to introduce friends to Toast and happy that the bread selection was so expansive. The staff were very friendly, caring and hospitable. Yummy, yum, yum! Me and my mates love Toast.Looking forward to next time, squid to try. Wonder if it'll be as good as the Tatties and Neeps?

Amazing, innovative, friendly and just brilliant.Anything on toast and an amazing response when I asked for gluten free. Anything on toast although what they do put on your toast is exquisite, interesting and tasty. Staff are brilliant, chatty and provide a really good level of service.Surroundings are great and there are event ceiling-mounted heaters to keep you warm inside. A real chilled feel. Loved the Vietnamese pork and peanuts. Totally brilliant and Toast is worth the trip to Alty. Our favourite.

I booked a table on Friday lunch time to save any disappointment in not being able to eat and drink here with a friend. Always a warm welcome from the staff and Justin the owner / manager. The coffee is always great, full bodied without being bitter. Ordered food which is cooked to order and neither of us were disappointed. I've have eaten several items from the menu and always been happy. Look forward to visiting again soon.

While having our afternoon stroll we popped in here for a quick coffee. Nice and stylish inside. Comfy seating. The chocolate cake was exceptional. Coffee was pretty good. Very good price wise.

Had a quick team lunch here the other week and it was great. Nice atomosphere, great service. The concept itself is great. Everything on toast! I tried the milkshake (really good) and salmon and eggs. Enjoyed it.

Popped in with our young daughter today after her swimming lesson ...we had never been in before (only having moved back to the area recently) but used to frequent the Market for brunch ..however, after many disappointing visits there enough was enough.,we thought we would opt for Toast ...what a fabulous warm place! Child friendly, great menu, REALLY!! REALLY GOOD FOOD!! The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon were de-lish! Children's Mac and Cheese was demolished..along side :the best vanilla milkshake" high praise indeed. Perhaps most importantly the Team there are the nicest. We will definitely be going back - Thanks Toast for a lovely family brunch :-)

Nice place with great decor. It was cosy and busy. The guy serving was knowledgable and pleasant, and a generally a good experience, although expensive for what is essentially nice toasted bread with a small topping, but isn't everywhere expensive in this country now? Worth a visit.

I'm new to the are, so found 'Toast' purely by chance. Wow! What an amazing find! A thoroughly enjoyable experience from the moment I entered to the moment I reluctantly left! Interesting & spotless decor including the 'ladies!' Incredibly comfy armchair which I did not want to leave! Friendly & efficient service & superb food, coffee & orange juice. I haven't felt that relaxed for a long time! Shall definitely become a 'regular!'

I have been to Toast on a number of occasions and I am so pleased that it is going from strength to strength. I did wonder whether they would be able to continue to come up with interesting topics for all things toast related, but somehow they do. Today, I had salmon teriyaki, charred broccoli, carrots and mange tout. It was sheer joy on a plate with the gamble of cheese and chilli bread - something I regretted ordering initially, but once it arrived, it was just incredible with the sauce. I was looked after very well by all staff - something that is consistent each time i have visited. I wish you every success in the future (so I can come and eat more toast). x

Wow what can I say? I’ve been waiting for this visit since it opened and I can say I wasn’t disappointed. Staff were very attentive and pleasant. Food was excellent compliments to the chef. And what an absolute fab way to turn something so simple into a great menu and do it perfectly.

Tried Toast today after seeing a review on facebook. I had the vegan toast option - it was delicious (soggy, instead of crispy, kale aside). However, it was a really small portion on a slender piece of toast and of course having no animal protein, it wasn’t filling - the meal just needs two slices of the slim toast and ‘topping’ to match the bulkier and more substantial ‘meat and vegetarian options’ please. A real shame, as it was such a lovely flavour. We were given 10% off at the till as a consequence - thank-you - a bigger portion next time please, don’t want to be left hungry and would like to visit again.... :(

We arranged a private party for my husband’s 40th birthday and absolutely loved the place. The venue itself is stylish and cosy but what sets the place apart is the staff. Every single person that we dealt with in either the planning or run up to the event and during the evening couldn’t have been more attentive and supportive. All of our guests highly rated Toast and we had a great time. Special mention to Jordan and Alex on the night who kept the drinks flowing. Would highly recommend as both a lunch venue or as a private hire.

After a lazy Saturday shop round Altrincham, I was walking back to the car, when I spotted an armchair wearing my bedroom curtains!

What a gorgeous place to dine and drink! I have been here numerous times now to dine, drink and for private parties. I could not praise the staff enough, such lovely people, Jodie, Jordan and Finn are absolutely wonderful, a lovely atmosphere and gorgeous place. Definitely recommend for any event! 10/10

Brilliant, cosy independent restaurant in the centre of Altrincham. Less intense and much more relaxed than other places in Altrincham. I’ve been here numerous occasions to eat and dine. I’ve been here many times and each time the staff have been delightful and friendly. Would highly recommend.

I have visited Toast with friends on several occasions, yesterday being one of them. The food is always great and varied. The Prosecco is lovely, as is the coffee. Such a relaxing atmosphere to which the staff have a big part to play! Jodie and Jordan in particular are always excellent, as is the young lady behind the bar.
