This venue should be used as a example, from the moment you’re welcomed through the door by Joe, to when it’s time to filter out of the huge dance floor in the early hours, every minute is absolute class. The spacious downstairs bar has a wide range of shots and drinks at good value for money. The upper bar is smaller but saves you going downstairs and missing the set! Have seen some top artists there, Martin Garrix was my favourite, best night of my life, Avicii was good too (RIP). Tracey is a gem and keeps the drinks flowing and everyone in check, never felt threatened here, fantastic atmosphere, especially on their comedy nights, makes sense that comedians use it as a warm up before they go on Live at the Apollo. Their selection of toast options is great, i quite like a banana on toast to finish of the evening, or raspberry jam every now and then, what a great idea to serve toast at a night club! If you’re in the area, definitely visit!!! You won’t regret it.

I accidentally knocked a drink over (the bar was extremely busy, I was completely sober and about to offer to pay for a new one). The younger barmaid started lecturing me like I'm a child, sneering and pointing at me. She was just being invasive and condescending. Her manager was just as rude, even threatening to kick me out for talking back to them. Worst bar experience of my life. Almost all my friends have had bad experiences with judgemental and rude staff. It's known around the town that the workers act entitled, narcissist, and petty. I would give them minus stars if I could. Btw it is also overpriced.

Went to Toast to celebrate with friends on a night out and spent 10-15 minutes queuing only to be sneared at by a bartender in a beanie for ordering a cranberry juice. Watched her scream and curse in a customers face and the manager kicked the customer and their group out for telling the bartender to watch her language.

As pubs/bars go, this is awful. Tiny bar, 20-deep queues, full of entitled youngsters who ignore any common decency when pushing to get to the bar. Security staff unprofessional and rude. Just an all round bad experience. There are so many nice places to drink in Falmouth, don't waste your money here.

This is 100% the truth. With my girlfriend, whilst at the bar, a couple of people cut in front of us. The bar staff shouted at me for complaining about it. We got kicked out. Never got treated so despicably in my years. Couldn’t rate this place worse. Avoid at all costs!

Then this could well be the place for you. To the front is a small pub area and to the rear a small dance floor were two DJ's were doing their thing when we visited. Havent been so relaxed to dance for years and the music mix was just right to get my on the floor!

I mainly attend as a performer and/or customer on comedy nights so can't say what the atmosphere is like on other evenings. But I will say if you want a quiet drink, stay at home! A quiet pub is a struggling pub! From my experience, a pleasant evening is always had. Drinks selection is good - I'm a spirit and cocktail drinker and never disappointed. The rare rowdy patrons are dealt with efficiently, have always felt safe. Staff treat you as you treat them, so I've never had any problems and anybody that has should look at themselves first.

Crowded, small pub with sticky tables and a noisy atmosphere. Would suit students or those who like it rowdy, but if you like a quiet pint this is not the place for you.

After a few drinks in Falmouth we were denied entry as we didn’t fit the target audience. After we had got into the premises 30 minutes later some emo bar tender decided to kick us out as we “didn’t fit in” ... absolute joke!! Please avoid at all costs!!

After a wonderful evening at the poly we tried to have a drink on the way home. Sticky floors and tables greeted us and the drink selection was quite poor- more suited to students than older people.

Atmosphere and music is good. However, bar staff members need to work on the communication skills, they are rude and unwelcoming. Will not be going there again.

I am an avid member of toast. Every friday my friends and I really enjoy a good laugh at this establishment. However, last time I came here I was greeted with the most horrendous response from a certain employee. She was incredibly rude and this did not represent the times I have had at this fine establishment. Worst of all she started making homophobic comments about my lovely handbag my boyfriend got me. All in all I do not feel comfortable in this environment anymore. My custom will be taken elsewhere

I first went into Toast with friends in 2012 and the music drew us to the dance floor the whole night. Since then I've been many times as, although Falmouth has many quirky bars and pubs, Toast is enterprising in its entertainment as it is a family owned business and they book who and what they think is good. There is a new music night featuring local acts, a daytime art fair, live comedy once and month and many nights with a DJ, often playing vinyl on their own in-house decks. Toast has its own PA for live performances too and the monthly comedy night attracts the best comedians from the West Country and beyond. Toast supports local entertainers and promoters and the drinks prices are reasonable. You can also rely on the Peebles to recommend a drink if you can't decide what to have. They have a good selection of beers, ciders, soft drinks, coffee and cocktails, all at competitive prices, especially for a central Falmouth venue which is open til 1am Sunday - Thursday and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. They have a dancefloor and comfy socialising areas and they always have enough bar staff to serve drinks quickly.

My friends and I went to Toast for cocktails last night. Greeted miserably by the barmaid, we were informed they were not serving cocktails, the only reason we went there. When I asked why, she quite rudely refused to give an answer and snapped, "Do you want a drink or not?"Still not sure why they weren't serving cocktails. After a rum and Coke, the owner, a lady with short blonde hair whose name I can't recall, explained to me that they would not be serving me and my friends any more drinks and wanted us to leave. We were not drunk and by no means acting rowdy or inappropriate in any way. I asked her why she wanted us to leave and she could not give a reason. The only reason I can possibly think of is that my friends and I did not look the part. It's a 'quirky' bar for arty university student types and us common working folk did not fit the look (I'm a teacher by the way). I don't remember having someone look down on me as much as the pompous owner did. I'd advise caution in going here if you don't wish to be belittled by the nasty owner and her rude staff.

Went to sea shanty festival so great fun. Bands were in cramped space and not enough room for everyone piling in to watch, so overflowing into Street but this added to atmosphere so I loved the experience although a seat was for only a few. The bar service was friendly and quick

Estamos deseando volver.

Probably the best bar in Falmouth for atmosphere late on, good music, good prices. Couple of bar staff can be a bit up themselves 9understand they might be the daughters of the owners) but all in all its pretty good!

I stopped in earlier this week with a friend after walking past this place for months. Turns out i was missing a great time. The staff, and owners are friendly and accommodating, the drinks are fairly priced and they have scores of fun shooters to chooses from. They have late night entertainment regularly, including a DJ and live music. When the rest of the town winds down, Toast is just warming up! Definitely a new haunt for me!

This bar is great--a friendly atmosphere with a good mix of people, from uni kids to grandparents. We came after a show down the street, and it was very busy, but not so much that the bartenders ignored you or you were kicked out of line. Drinks were mixed well and priced fairly, and despite the fact that I live nowhere near Falmouth, I wouldn't hesitate to go back next time I'm in the country.

I came here for some drinks with a friend, cocktails are generally £5-6 which is quite a good price for how nice they are. There are some nice places to sit, a quieter bit by the bar, then a darker area where you can sit or go dance by he dj. The crowd at toast are nice, a chatty bunch. If your in falmouth and want some drinks this is definitely somewhere you want to check out.

very good burgers, well cooked and tasty with a couple of nice twists on the menu.I was a little worried when they all arrived wrapped in brown paper but when we opened them up there was an adequate amount of chips with the skins on and the burger tasted great. I also finished my wife's veggie, spicy chick pea burger with blue cheese and that was nice. The venue was OK but this is based on the fact tha at 6pm and in broad daylight it's obvious it mainly caters for evening pub revellers so a little rough round the edges but they had tried hard with friendly service, flowers on the table and the floors had been cleaned so not a problem.I gave it 5 stars for atmosphere although we were the only people there but I can imagine it is good when busy. If you're passing and need a tasty snack it's worth a visit and to try the burgers... They are worh it.

After visiting Toast on a number of occasions I can safely say that it has one of the best atmospheres in Falmouth. If you are looking for a place where you can go for an evening of fun, while are the same time enjoy the occasional local band night, you have found it. The combination of super friendly staff, great service, cheap drinks and great music, makes Toast a place worth visiting. And also – as the previous review mentions – their burgers are great. I absolutely recommend this place.

My partner and I visited Toast last week for burgers and drinks. Having never eaten there before we had no expectations, but would certainly visit again soon.I had a spicy chickpea burger with goats cheese and onion marmelade and loved it, perfectly coocked and lovely home made marmelade. My boyfriend had a large beef burger with cheddar, tomato relish and jalapeno peppers and really enjoyed it. Both burgers came with lovely home made chips, wrapped up, perfect, easy and charming. The offer a whole range of different topping for the burgers and chicken as well as the ones mentioned above, might have to try the chicken burger next time.Drinks are quite cheap too and service great.Apparently they do drinks for £1 with a burger on tuesdays too.Either way it is a very cheap deal, our total bill came to just under £20 (including 2 drinks each) They have a really good selection of drinks, and serve cocktails as well as beer and wine. Their desert cocktails are a real treat too..

The lovely gent who served us got his wife Zara to help us with locating the keys which luckily where found and left at the RLNI across but was closed, she managed to find someone who got the keys So thank you so much for your help lovely people and for the ice creams! 🥰 wishing you all the best x

Been coming here for many years, it is an absolute joy every time we come for a meal. Today me and my mother came for afternoon tea and everything was delicious and delectable, as it always is. The service is absolutely flawless, all the staff are exceptional and extremely welcoming, especially the manager. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a perfect meal out.

Beautiful building. Amanda the barmaid/waitress was very helpful and friendly. My family had the ham egg and chips, which was outstanding. I had fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh. The puddings were sinful and beautifully made.

I will start by saying the restaurant did reduce our bill and throw in a few free extras but we were very surprised by the quality and portioning of the food. At the time the cafe was very quiet but the staff seemed a little bit chaotic. Orders not being put through properly, items missed off and not knowing what beer they had available. A couple of us ordered the chicken burger (£13) and my son had the kids version (£8.50) but his came with chips. I was pretty shocked when we both received exactly the same sized portion. A small bun, 1/2 a small chicken fillet and one piece of lettuce, not exactly worth £13. The staff did even comment that they there was an issue but still felt it was fine to serve and just expect people to pay. The pizzas were but ok but again surprised when we we charged £3 for 2-3 sliced olives as an extra. We've eaten at many other places up and down the coast and based on our experience we would not return.
