I visited with my family and the first thing we noticed was the lovely ambiance of the restaurant, great choice of music playing. The staff were so attentive and excellent with the children. I started with one of the best Americano coffees I’ve had, followed by the incredible Big Tel’s breakfast - you have to try it! Excellent choice on the kids menu and we finished off our meal with the delicious fresh cakes. Well done to the team at Tiny Tim’s - 5 stars!

We’ve been coming to Tiny Tim’s for years, though it had been a while since our last visit. Unfortunately, things have changed. The place feels run-down and we were the only customers in the cafe. We even saw two families leave after being told of the limited menu options. The lights are hanging off the ceilings, full of cobwebs & dust. The walls are scuffed & chipped, the floor is peeling up & the toilets are out of use. The young waitress greeted us warmly but informed us that there were no breakfast items or hot sandwiches available. We decided on a burger and two jacket potatoes instead. However, she quickly let us know there were no burgers, either. When we asked what was available, she replied with only cold sandwiches or jacket potatoes. We went with three jacket potatoes. After a 25-minute wait, the first two arrived (with cheese and beans), both clearly microwaved and one was still frozen in the middle, so we sent it back. Ten minutes later, the third jacket (with curry) arrived, overcooked to the point the potato was gray and the canned chicken curry had an odd pinkish-gray colour. We tried to eat what we could from the two potatoes while waiting for the returned one. During our wait, an older gentleman entered, announcing, “I have the shopping,” and was quickly directed downstairs—likely with the missing jacket potato. Shortly after, the waitress went to the shop and reappeared with three cans of beans. Fifteen minutes later, my wife finally got her jacket potato. The young cook explained she was the only one working in the kitchen, though we were the only ones in the cafe, so it seemed a single microwave was causing the delays. By then, we just wanted to leave and barely touched the final jacket potato, still put off by the previous frozen one. The bill came to £42, which was absolutely not worth it. If I hadn’t already paid, I certainly wouldn’t have paid after the food we received. The two young girls left to hold the fort tried their best, however it seems they need further support in order to deliver quality food and a quality service. Unfortunately this was not the case and management needs to support them better.

Really let down by the service. Was told soon after we arrived that "we are really understaffed today" so had to wait a while to be served. However, both servers seemed to be on their phones all of the time. We had to ask for plates for our afternoon tea. We were told several items were sold out including scones with raisins. But when our afternoon tea was brought out it did in fact have scones with raisins. We suspected that they were found somewhere as they were not very fresh. The sandwiches were great and the portions were good. The location is also great. But our experience was spoiled by the service.

Went out for a family breakfast and a few members like to be picky with their food. Tiny Tims were so accommodating with letting some of us build are own breakfast. Staff were super nice and friendly. My dad doesn’t like drinking tea from a cup and saucer and so Tiny Tim’s made all his teas in a mug. Food was yummy and reasonable price.

Poor poor service. One star is generous. Table next to us sat down after us and had their order taken, waited and then had to go to the counter and ask to order. Ordered food and drinks, after 1/2 an hour from sitting down we had to ask for our drinks while the waitress was at the counter on her phone. Apple juice turned up and was banged down on the table, one glass looked like it was taken straight from a dirty table and re filled. Left after this and wouldn’t recommend or return. First impressions count.

Delicious cooked breakfast! We stopped here on our way into Rochester and my daughter was drawn in by the idea of a full English for her lunch! There are many different combinations of breakfast to be had! Four clean plates by the end! Everything on the plate was delicious, good produce. We were missing some hash browns off two plates but this was quickly rectified with a plate of freshly cooked hash browns and an apology 🙂 Lovely little find!

Went here for afternoon tea. Prices around $25/person You get a choice of 6 sandwiches divided into smaller bite sizes for your group and an assortment of desserts and a drink of choice. The service and the atmosphere were great. The desserts were amazing. The sandwiches were not good at all in my opinion. I might just be a picky person but there was so much sauce and they all tasted the same and not different enough. Too much mayo for sure and it just wasn’t my cup of tea at all. I don’t think many Americans would like it. And even my British friend said it had too much sauce. I left and for myself another sandwich at a shop nearby haha but again might just be my personal taste buds.

Went in to Tiny Tim’s for cream tea (7.5£). There was plenty of seating available- and the staff were full of hospitality and kindness. The tea room has a old school feel- with nicely done interiors. The tea room carried its history with it- and is right next to the Car Park. There is some outdoor seating as well (depending on the weather). The scones were delicious and warm- and the cream and strawberry jam added to its charm. The pot tea was one of the best I have had in a while- was flavourful and delish. The only thing- the crockery looked worn-out and could be replaced (maybe it’s because of the old world charm that they were still used). Would visit again. Thanks.

We were a table of 6 friends and family upon arrival we was seated in front of the open door on a cold April day door being tied back so was open and blowing a gale. We then was asked about 15 minutes later what we would like to drink. Which the older lady serving got confused what drinks was what so that took another 10 mins. She then was scavenging about to get 3 menu's together that was on old taty bits of printed paper instead of being laminated so they can be wiped after every use. The menu had reduced dramatically since the last time I had visited no club sandwich, No prawn Jacket , its just mainly breakfast items and afternoon tea 3 of the party ordered jacket potatoes at £10.50 for a normal size potato that was microwaved and there was no butter on the potato I had to ask for some the chicken curry was from a tin that I think they went and brought why we was waiting for the order as the guy who works along side the chef went out with a great big shopping bag and must of had either just a tin in the bag or the 3 potatoes 🥔 we did make a joke that he gone to dig the potatoes as we had by then waited 30 min and the to receive a hard microwaved potato 45 min later after ordering was very disappointing certainly not worth the price. Some of the party ordered sandwiches was not asked if they wanted white or brown then they sent a baquette when it was a sandwich that was ordered also ordered some chips that we expected to be nice big home made or at least nice big fried chips but no theses was mushy skin on fries not quite sure how they was cooked as they was not crunchy we was not offered any condiments like ketchup, mayonnaise, vinger , salt or pepper we then see there was boxes of sachets on the other side of the room that we ended up helping our self to. I did see a afternoon tea come out that looked half decent but nothing like what we had previously when we visited many times. Overall I think the food was well over priced and quality was very poor service was slow and not well organised. I think this felt a bit more like a cafe then a tea room the carpet Downstairs needs a bloody good clean aswell looked dirty and cluttered. Terry 100% done this place justice in he's time. Such a shame hopefully they will try to get a bit more organised.

Had breakfast there recently with my family. The place is nice and clean and everyone is friendly enough. We all had full breakfasts, which were OK. It's not massively brilliant, but OK. A few suggestions I would make (these aren't huge problems, just my opinion for what it's worth) - more than one food menu per table would be better. I know I can ask for more, but it's a small observation. - serviettes on every table (there were some on some, but not on ours) - I really think the food portions could be bigger, but I totally understand everyone is squeezed at the moment. The food was cooked reasonably well, and there was nothing massively wrong with it, but it just didn't set the world on fire for me. We spent £55 on four breakfasts and 4 drinks for anyone's info. All in all, I would possibly go back. But if I had family visiting from abroad that wanted to eat breakfast in the highstreet, it wouldn't be my first choice currently. Good luck to them though, nice people.

Went there today with a friend for afternoon tea priced at £19.50 pp. Whole place looked dark & scruffy and in dire need of deep cleaning. Kitchen area cluttered and untidy with open dustbin. Floor looked unclean. People serving also looked scruffy with only the lady wearing a protective apron. A glance at the J cloth and tea towel being used was enough to set alarm bells ringing reference hygiene. A visit downstairs to the toilet was an experience I would not like to repeat as, once again, pretty grim. The afternoon tea was very nice with cakes, scones with cream & jam, sandwiches and pots of tea although I was, by then, worried about who was preparing it and where it was being prepared. It didn't feel like a Tea Room, more like a cafe. It's a shame as the food was good but, we won't be going again.

Took my family out to a day trip to Rochester. Whilst we had a lot of great options around we thought the name and history of the place we thought it would be good idea to dine. I’d like to point out that we were the second last customer before closing on a weekend. We ordered a variety of food for the family, one of them a simple Tuna and Sweetcorn Sandwich, but we received a a sandwich with just Tuna and no sweetcorn, no problem, simple mistake. When I pointed it out, the waitress said they ran out of Sweetcorn, a slight frustration as if we were told earlier then we would have ordered something else. We also ordered a plain scone and received a fruit, again, nothing was done. Food was good but a bit dissatisfied with the service, but hoping the business takes it as feedback rather than a criticism.

I was going to leave a 5 star review as the food is delicious and the decor is so cute, it’s one of my favourite cafes, however when I was here yesterday a staff member (the owner maybe?) suddenly started having a go at a girl as she was leaving telling her to not shout at the staff, I would just like to say I was sat near her and never once heard her raise her voice but I sure did hear the staff raise his voice. It was also a coincidence he did it just as she was leaving, I’m all for sticking up for yourself and your staff members but why wait till she’s half out the door to say something to her so loudly for everyone to hear? I brushed it off thinking it was a bit harsh but not my problem, now like I said at the start I was going to leave 5 stars but decided to have a look at the reviews and noticed not only did that girl leave her own comment but someone else has mentioned something similar about the boss having a go at people when they have any criticism. Also any low review seems to get a very passive aggressive reply. I find this so strange. This cafe is clearly thriving so why reply so passive aggressively to people? I think whoever does the replies maybe needs to just ego check themselves a little bit. It makes me wonder if I came her again and had any sort of issue would they then start on me? It’s a lovely cafe so I will come back however that will be in the back of my mind and I hope I don’t have to deal with it.

We went here for breakfast, Or tried to. We ordered our breakfast and three hot drinks and waited for 45 minutes for the food, which didn’t turn up We appreciate that staff are busy but we had no communication at all. We spoke to them on two occasions. We were advised the first time that ‘we’re upstairs and they’re downstairs. We don’t know’. We asked for a refund, and as we left, the owner, then came out to have a go at us and told us to leave his premises because ’we are busy’. He stated that we shouted at his staff, which we did not, at any time. He then told us to get out of his premises. Rudest owner, I have Ever come across, I would never recommend this restaurant to anybody after the way we’ve just been treated. If our order had been forgotten, we would’ve understood but without communication, how are we to know? Really unnecessary reaction from the owner. You’d think an apology would be offered rather than rudeness. Response to the owner: We categorically did not verbally abuse your staff. We asked twice where our food was, no verbal abuse was used at all. Don’t you think other customers would’ve heard if we did? You didn’t apologise, not once. Nobody did. We had no communication from anybody until we enquired as to what was happening. It was me you shouted at as I left with my family. If you had spoken to me, or my family, directly and with politeness, we would have had a conversation with you but you went at me, quite rudely. Your staff were certainly busy, but nobody was rude to them.

Last year I had my very first afternoon tea here on my birthday and absolutely loved it. After that, I had a few more afternoon teas, (one even at a very fancy and quite expensive place where my sister in law had her hen do) but Tiny Tim's has raised the stakes for afternoon tea extremely high for me. As I wouldn't shut up about this, my partner decided to give it a try too so we rang up last minute on his day off and turned up an hour later. The staff is absolutely lovely, the atmosphere was very relaxed. We did get some extra sandwiches with our order too which we really appreciated, it was such a lovely touch! The quality of their food definitely stands out. Every single item on the tiers is fricking delicious. Sandwiches are made with soft bread and are freshly prepared upon order, scones are served warm and the petit four are all to die for! I always get so excited trying them all 😁 I honestly don't understand the bad reviews on here but surely those people don't appreciate good quality food. For about £20 per person I think it's very fairly priced considering the cost that goes into ingredients and production. Being a home baker myself I know how much time and effort goes into preparation. Adding the cost of everything else that comes on top of it, you can barely make any profit without people starting to moan. So please, If you can't appreciate good food, stay away from Tiny Tim's. However I know I'll be back for sure! 😊

The title says it all really. I planned a surprise party for my parents here and had 18 people coming including 5 kids. From the initial booking right through to the end of the meal, the staff were helpful and friendly. We were given the whole of the downstairs, which was fantastic as it meant the kids wouldn't bother anyone. They also blocked off the bathroom for just us so that we wouldn't be disturbed by other guests (so thoughtful!). They even decorated with balloons and flowers; the flowers the owner had arranged himself just for us too and let us take home afterward! We had the high tea option, which was £13.95 a head and the amount of food was amazing! The cakes both looked gorgeous and tasted amazing, I had the gluten-free cakes and they were so good! The sandwiches were also great with a range of fillings (I even got to choose what I had in mine!) Unlimited tea and coffee kept everybody very happy and full too! They also let you bring your own alcohol and provide glasses, which was brilliant and this meant my mum could have her favourite bellini with her meal. This experience was one of the best meals out AND parties we've ever had, my mum was so surprised and said it was the best party and just how she would have wanted a party to be. We also were told they can do a sit-down hot meal with a roast too (with notice of course) so I don't think there's anything they can't do here! We absolutely recommend this place for a party and can't praise it highly enough. If you're looking for somewhere for your party, check out Tiny Tim's!

I went to this place as my girlfriend wanted a breakfast. The cups where dirty and looks like it hasn't been washed properly. When the food arrived it was not hot just warm I wanted to wipe my mouth and realised the napkins looks dirty. After the food me and my girlfriend was burning rubber trying to get home for the toilet as we got diarrhoea, The food hygiene standards need looking at I wouldn't rate this place a 0 let alone 1 I would never visit again

Tiny Tims is my go-to for afternoon tea in Rochester. The food is lovely, always fresh and there is a good selection of sandwiches, even as a vegetarian. Cakes and scones are lovely and I always bring them home as can never finish it all!

Stopped here on a day trip to explore Rochester for a cream tea, the lady was super friendly and the scone was warm. A nice little building, clearly very old.... What really did it for me was the view (you only get it if you sit outside) a really clear view of the castle and cathedral..... What more can you ask for whilst drinking tea and eating scones.....

Me and two friends went here today for afternoon tea and a catch up and it was really lovely, the owners were friendly and welcoming. The portions were large and everything tasted delicious, such fantastic value for money! One of the best afternoon teas I’ve had!

I went here because I wanted to ride my bike and found this on google. It looked nice from the picture so I went there. The staff were very friendly and I was met by the owner who couldn’t have done any more to male me feel welcome. I ordered the quarter cheese with chunky chips. The burger tasted amazing and chips were cooked perfectly. I told the owner that the only criticism I have is that the meal was far too big so I couldn’t eat half of the chips. Great service and the owner even found time to chat. Will definitely go again.

My partner and I have been to Tiny Tim’s a few times now and every time we’ve had amazing, friendly service in this quirky little cafe. The only place we’ve been that gives you much more food than you order and it tastes good! Brilliant value for money and the people make it well worth the visit. We will see you again soon!

We popped out for brunch today and came across Tiny Tim’s. It’s a quiet place run by a lovely couple who couldn’t have been more polite, helpful and appreciative of people supporting their business.I can highly recommend the Artful Dodger breakfast for those with a big appetite and The Dickens for those who only like a little of everything. The portion sizes are generous and the quality of the food was exceptional. The chips are even better than chip shop chips! The tea was hot and The cappuccino wasn’t just froth. The service was fantastic, didn’t wait long to be seated or served our food.My partners quote, “That’s where you need to go if you have a quality hangover, it will sort you right out!” Great value for money, even with the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, We gave a £10 tip because we felt it was worth paying full price. They have followed the government guidelines very well and I cannot recommend enough. We will be back.

My husband and I just had an afternoon tea at Tiny Tim's of Rochester. We have had afternoon tea at a well known hotel in Wilmington and several top London hotels. However, we both agreed that Tiny Tim's is the best so far. It's a family run business which helps as they are clearly invrsted in providing a good service. I would definitely recommend.

Myself and the family came to Rochester to show the in in-laws (that where over from France) what a old english town was like and to have a proper English breakfast. Rochester was very busy as it was a Saturday morning and tiny Tim’s was also very busy. We asked if they could fit us in a we had a buggy too. The gentleman that worked there was soooo lovely and accommodating. He said we could eat down stairs but as it was a nice day we wanted to be upstairs. Bless him he quickly cleared the tables and made it so we could all sit together (there where 6 of us). The breakfast was amazing and the staff where super lovely. I would definitely recommend going here. Thank you guys sooo much

We only phoned in the morning to see if they were open for breakfast after seeing it after dinner the night before. Table was reserved for us and we were attended to quickly even though they had told us they were short staffed. Coffee was great to start. Ordered for 2 adults & 2 children. Food was freshly cooked really well and plenty of it.

We ordered afternoon tea for two to be delivered during the lockdown. Arrived in the timescale. And it was fabulous. Fresh sandwiches, great selection of cakes, plus cheesecake slices and huge scones with little pots of jam and clotted cream. The portions were very generous. Came with tea bags and milk, although we didn't use those. I would definitely recommend!

Loads of fresh sandwiches stuffed full of filling, the biggest scones ever with clotted cream and jam, the most luscious fresh cakes, tea bags, milk and sugar! Fantastic value. Will most definitely be ordering again and will be paying a visit once they are open for business as usual. Oh yes, and the husband enjoyed it too! :)

It was busy when we arrived so they asked us if we would mind getting comfortable and waiting which we obviously did not.The food was amazing. You can choose your sandwiches which was perfect for my nieces and there was lots of food and cake.Terry was great, very friendly and great with the kids. We were the last customers in the restaurant, but they did not rush us at all.My nieces loved it and it was great value for money. We will definitely be back.

Decided on Tiny Tim’s as had heard great things about the all day breakfast...it didn’t disappoint! There’s no airs and graces in there and you’re not afraid to ask for exactly what you want without feeling that you shouldn’t have! Nothing’s a problem. Great filling and tasty foodFriendly and accommodating staff A real family run home feel to it Photos show the “Bumble Breakfast” and a minted lamb baguette

Had the all day breakfast. Wet cutlery put down on our table, no serviettes. Bacon very underdone for my liking (just about cooked), eggs and beans stone cold, toast horrible. Couldn't eat it. Witnessed the incident mentioned by 'valueseekerkent', where the server, an older, bald man, was extremely rude. Made a terrible atmosphere because he had a go at this poor customer for no reason, very loudly, so that the whole place could hear. His manner even with us was very odd, he seems completely unaware of his rudeness. When I went up to pay, this same man was clearing plates and had put the black dustbin lid up on the counter, on top of plates and cups. Place generally feels grubby. Level of hygiene and service appalling. I will never go back. There are cards on the tables asking for Tripadviser reviews, I hope management look at these reviews and take some action. I would if it was my business.

Unpleasant! I arrived and was greeted buy a parking machine where you have to pay to use there car park. I then went to the bar the atmosphere wasn't all that great it was more a sports bar not a place for a pub lunch. I was waiting a good 15 minutes to be severed and it wasn't that busy. I got the meal deal 2 courses for £15.99 I ordered the beef roast and biscoff cheesecake. It came out pretty quickly to my surprise. The quality of the meal was shockingly bad for the price paid. The potatoes are from a packet, along with the vegetables, I managed to eat it as I was hungry. I then had to go back to the bar to ask for my dessert and paid another £4 for a small coke! The cheese cake came and was the worst dessert I have ever been given. It was covered in cheap strawberry sauce, The ice cream was all icey and wrong like it had been defrosted and frozen several times. The cheese cake must have been defrosted in the microwave because my first bite was warm then my second cold then a few more bites in was warm again, I couldn't finish it! I never feel the need to leave bad reviews but I think all in all with two small cokes I paid £24 and it's a total rip off. You definitely deserve better for your hard earned money go else where.
