Tintagel Brewery Visitor Centre & Cafe in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We visited the brewery and liked the look of the restaurant. It happened to be Steak Night so we booked a table. The food was superb, fresh, plentiful and very reasonably priced. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a table for Friday Night Fish and Chips. Again the food was delicious, perfectly cooked and with all the extras included eg pickled eggs, mushy peas and homemade crusty bread it was cheaper than the chippy and way better. A lovely restaurant in a beautiful location and now on our must go back list

went to bistro for a coffee and cake and very disappointed to be sold the coffee but no cake ;which was sat in a cabinet next to the bar The barman [who just about managed to leave his phone long enough to serve us] told us he worked behind the bar so couldn't serve cake! We then asked to see a menu for the evening meal but despite this being served 3 hours later it wasn't available We will not be returning!!!

Visited for Sunday carvery choice of 4 meats with plenty of veg. Excellent food and piping hot. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great beer! Very good value for money.

We visited for lunch and were very impressed with the food. The fish pie was flavoursome and full of a good selection of fish. There was no steak and ale pie left but there was steak cobbler which had a very tasty rich sauce/gravy - very tender meat and there was lots of it. Good level access too which was important on this occasion as my husband was using crutches.

A lovely family meal for reasonable price. We enjoyed steak and lemon sole dishes. Delicious fresh food, and great atmosphere. Dogs are welcome, and since it’s spacious inside the restaurant they also enjoyed their evening. The beer tasting was fun, with a sample of three small glasses per person. We will definitely return. Highly recommend to others.

Me and my partner visited here this evening, our table was booked at 6.30pm however we did arrive half hour earlier- we were greeted with a walk welcome by a lovely gentlemen named Simon (i believe) he offered us to go to or table or stay and have a drink in the bar, we chose to have a drink in the bar to start. I had a processco and my partner had a white wine both of which were amazing and the price of the drinks were not bad at all. When we were seated from start to finish Simon was extremely attentive and his service and knowledge of the dishes and drinks were amazing, working in the industry myself I COULD ABSOLUTELY NOT FAULT HIS SERVICE WHATSOEVER, drinks consistently topped up, all dishes put infront of us were all explained thoroughly. The food was so so tasty and beautifully cooked, again I couldn’t fault a thing. The presentation was beautiful, all the flavours were beautiful. We had the £50pp set menu. We will definitely be returning !!

Called in after trying their beers on another establishment in Tintagel, was pleasantly suprised to find a lovely restaurant. Booked for the following evening and had their three course menu, every course was exceptional, the local wine was exquisite and the service exceptional, we had been to another local Michelin starred restaurant the night before and this was equally as good. Well done to all the staff.

Went to the restaurant launch of their summer menu, what a night, lovely music, free canapes based around the new menu. Free taster cocktails, free wine tasting, staff taking part and chatting to customers, lovely atmosphere and would thoroughly recommend..

Called in for a drink and made very welcome by Simon and his staff. We decided to have dinner the next evening and were not disappointed, my partner had the steak and ale pie and I had the burger, both made with the local beef, delicious and plenty of it. If you are in the area definitely visit this gem

Fantastic carvery in lovely well appointed restaurant. My Wife and I booked the carvery for Sunday lunch (they offer 2 sittings, 3 in the summer). They were a choice of 4 meats. The Yorkshire puddings were the biggest I have ever seen. I think I counted 10 separate types of vegetables. With as much gravy as you like. Very, Very Good!.

Relaxed fine dining while visiting Cornwall to stay with my brother and sister in law. What a spectacular meal - superb quality produce served with just the right amount of flair and finesse. Visual treats, skillfully prepared and which all tasted delicious. We loved the restaurant for dinner - comfy chairs around different shaped dining tables in a beautifully decorated room. From start to finish helpful and attentive service from Simon and his team. Sadly we have to return to London but we will definitely come back next time we visit Cornwall!

The Sunday lunch we had today was the very best meal we have eaten anywhere for years!!! I cannot fault the food, the staff or the ambiance and my husband and I were so happy that we are booking for his 70th birthday meal here soon. I found the venue in The Trencherman's guide and will not be surprised to find it added to the Michelin guide one day.

Unbelievably good food. Locally sourced and well cooked. Actually I can’t praise Simon and George highly enough. They are doing something here that you’re lucky to see in London. It’s phenomenal. Michelin star quality. Loved it. We had the amuse bouche, starters were perfectly cooked scotch eggs, then duck. Too full for pudding sadly. Recommend. X

We had a great meal in October and so recommend several friends. Sadly they didn’t agree and weren’t impressed. We went for new year’s eve lunch. Mains were all roasts (not carvery). Veg was nice, chicken was nice but beef was minuscule and fatty. The Yorkshire puddings were hard and dry. More beef was given when requested but you shouldn’t need to ask. The manager is excellent but he was let down by the food. The two courses were £35 so not cheap considering it wasn’t as good as the carvery. A glass of Prosecco was included but it was warm. I ordered a glass of wine which never arrived. So all in all it was very disappointing. I hope they get back to the standard we had in October. I won’t be recommending it for a while as we weren’t impressed nor were several people who’ve been recently that we recommended.

This is a beautiful spot near Tintagel. Inside the decor is gorgeous, low lighting , with a lovely ambiance . We had three courses and each course was absolutely delicious, the thought behind these dishes was evident and cooked and plated to perfection. The owner Simon is fantastic , nothing is too much trouble. Personally this restaurant is Mitchelin Star level! Highly recommend a visit as you won’t be disappointed

I live in North Cornwall where gastronomic excellence is competed for at the highest level. Lunch today at Tintagel Brewery was the best meal that I have eaten locally this year. Subtle and balanced flavours and quality of content; hake from this morning’s catch cooked to perfection. Service, by Simon, impeccable - welcoming, attentive, informative and involved. Matched by George’s cooking and presentation which could not be faulted. Thank you both and your staff. Congratulations! We wish you well in your venture. This bodes well for an exciting future. We stopped in for lunch and I had the pie - couldn’t fault it and it was filled to the brim with the tastiest beef. My husband had the soup and sandwich and was not disappointed. I managed to have dessert and on their recommendation, I had the chocolate delice and it was incredible and the nicest dessert I’ve ever had- the homemade stout I’ve cream made the dish. The food was so good that we went back again - on our second visit, I had the croque Monsieur and my husband the beef brisket open sandwich. Again, the quality and taste was fantastic. These guys do not skimp on portions! My husband also loved their stout. We were in Tintagel for a week and these two lunches were by far the best. The restaurant is very pretty, the food incredible, friendly staff and I feel the price is very fair for the high quality of food. We will 100% go back next time we are in the area.

We’ve been several times and always enjoyed the food and service. However this time it’s definitely a notch above. I don’t eat red meat and I still had lots of choices. I had the chicken and omg the presentation was excellent and the flavours even better. We will definitely return. I highly recommend it. It’s even better as there’s a dog friendly area too which is a must for us. The staff are, as always helpful, professional and friendly.

Definitely worth a detour. It's a short drive from Tintagel but is worth it, we had an amazing 3 course dinner, great burgers and desserts to die for. Go there if you love a refined chocolate desert, not lots of bulky pud and gave a thorough cholocolate fix with a bit of fruit to balance. Yum! The staff were welcoming and friendly, and we could have our dog with us. As an added bonus there was a special for 3 courses for the price of 2 on the day we went. I wanted to book to go there the next day but was told to control myself!

If you're travelling the North Coast road in Cornwall, just before Delabole pop into the Tintagel Brewery and you'll be delighted you did. You'll get a very warm welcome from Simon and his team, great food, drinks and amazing sea views.

Despite us probably being awkward customers (large dog, baby & not drinking too much ‘cos of driving) all the guys really took care of us. Run by young, enthusiastic, professional & extremely knowledgeable people who couldn’t do enough for us. The pint I had was lovely (Castle Gold?) and the food……… well, what can I say, it was all really delicious. The Scotch egg was probably the nicest I’ve ever had. Whilst the location maybe a little bit remote, it really is worth checking out. If you like good food which is good value (note: I didn’t say cheap) then check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Good quality food and beer in comfortable, welcoming bar and restaurant. Far off views of the sea and coastline, great for sunsets. Friendly staff and bar area is dog friendly. We've eaten here twice now, fish and chips very tasty and generous portion. The wagyu beef pie best pie had anywhere and comparing with several gastro pubs. The fancier food looks good, will come back on a special occasion.

A glorious end to our trip to Cornwall… Simon has created something very special with his amazing menu, unique wine menu and tastefully designed interior.

We had read about this place in several magazines and we booked in advance. 1) Upon arrival, I said I had booked a table and was told that we can sit anywhere as they don’t reserve places. Why on earth did I have to confirm a booking if they didn’t bother to reserve at least one table? Imagine if we arrived and it was too busy? We book in advance due to mobility issues and having a dog. 2) There was nothing on the starter menu that my Father-in-Law could eat, so the waitress offered to give him a plate of smoked salmon by itself. She checked with the kitchen and they said it was ok…. Yet 45 minutes out starters haven’t arrived. A waiter comes out and apologises and says there’s been a mix up and offers my FIL the sea trout starter instead. It made the staff seem flustered and inexperienced as he had obviously read the starter menu and stated he didn’t like sea trout hence the request for smoked salmon! We didn’t get much of an apology and the staff were rushed, we just said leave it we will have our starters. 3) The remaining 3 of us in the party had ordered the scallop ceviche. Due to the miscommunication between various staff, it arrived after the 45 minutes it took them to realise. Ceviche should be served at a very low temp. It arrived slightly above lukewarm. I’m sure it would be nice served at the appropriate and safe temperature. We were too polite and ate it. The flavour itself wasn’t a problem; the temperate itself was vile. It has clearly be sat under a heated pass during the confusion. Later, I had projectile vomiting and the other two suffered from digestive issues. I am shocked that this was served to us as this temperature. 4) Our drinks order - to further confirm the communication and stress amongst the staff, we ordered another drink with one waiter. Another came and served us the drinks and a minute later, a different waitress arrived with the same drinks. The poor staff were clearly overwhelmed, stressed and flustered. In addition to this, the gentleman who I presumed was the head waiter came to our table to over us salt and vinegar for fish and chips when we didn’t even have our starter yet. 5) The mains were ok not amazing when they arrived. I think the atmosphere alone made us just want to eat and get out of there as we felt a bit uncomfortable and sad for the stressed staff. 6) My partner reported to the waitress that the urinals were flooding. He went back an hour later and although it’s fair that nothing had been fixed, he noted that there was a wet floor sign in the gents that hadn’t been put up as a minimum precaution. The lack of wet floor sign, food safety concerns over the serving of the ceviche, general stress of the Front of House staff and obvious miscommunications mean that I would not recommend anyone visits here to until these issues have been resolved.

I celebrated my 60th birthday at the Tintagel Brewery. The service provided by Simon and his team was faultless. The hog roast came with an assortment of salads and was absolutely gorgeous. The venue was perfect, beautifully decorated and would suit a variety of functions. I cannot recommend the Tintagel Brewery highly enough

Have visited before for breakfast but this was our first Sunday Roast. And it did not disappoint. The wagyu beef topside and slow braised brisket was to die for. Bloody lovely. The toffee banoffee desert was fabulous too. If you visit the North Shore come to this place, you won’t regret it.
