He tenido la intención de probar este lugar durante siglos, habiendo aparecido para batidos hace mucho tiempo.El servicio es muy amigable. Hay un buen menú de restaurante pseudo estadounidense.La comida y los batidos son sabrosos pero un poco caros.Si planea pedir algo en su salsa BBQ, asegúrese de pedir servilletas adicionales. Son muy pegajosos.

This food quality was terrible when I visited. The wings seemed stale I couldn't even finish them. I want my money back !

Mi hermano y yo vinimos a almorzar.Para empezar, conseguimos las papas fritas de halloumi, ¡este plato era MUY bueno! Si solo tuvieran la opción de tener 4 o 6 papas fritas, 6 era extremadamente abundante para 2 personas.Para mi plato principal obtuve la nueva hamburguesa crujiente Piri (3 tiras de pollo cubiertas con salsa piri piri flaming) con papas fritas. Realmente disfruté este plato, pero pensé que las tiras estaban un poco empapadas en lugar de crujientes y la salsa piri podría haber sido más picante.Mi hermano (el vegetariano) consiguió la hamburguesa de halloumi vegetariana con batatas fritas. Ambos pensamos que esto era bueno, pero que podría hacer con un poco de sabor ya que el halloumi en sí es un poco salado. Frozen artificial tasting burgers and plastic chips. Really not worth the money. Milk shakes are ok and it's the type of place that kids enjoy, not adults.

We walked here from Burger King as their shakes machine was out of order (as usual). It was the first time we had visited but it won't be the last. The shakes were loved by all but what I liked was the atmosphere and the incredibly happy staff.I think we'll have to take the bus, as parking in the area is a problem.

Went with family to get some dessert after eating somewhere else. The milkshakes were good and the sundaes. The only let down was the table issue as there were quite a few of us and a few tables had to be put together. On a positive the staff were lovely and could not do more, they were very friendly and helpful. And as surprising as this sounds they were actually smiling which is quite rare in a busy restaurant.

Favourite place. Service is very nice. Delicious burgers. Love their waffles and shakes. Everyone should try the Ambassador shake, it's the most delicious thing. Highly recommended!

Their burgers are very good. I love the strawberry tella waffles and the all the shakes but Ambassador is my favourite. Very friendly staff.

I have been to this Tinsel town on several occasions. The Food is decent and well priced. I usually order the peri chicken strips and chips. Recently I felt that they had changed the recipe, I preferred the previous recipe. But it was still ok.

My husband and i were the only people in Tinseltown and surprisingly we kept waiting for the food for very long and when the food came our burger had small bugs crawling at the top, very disappointing services and food ofcourse!

Nice and delicious lunch for very reasonable price. America Burgers, wings, chips.. definitely worth a visit for sure.

This noisy busy restaurant is a place for the young. We came here for a bite to eat the best I can say was it was ok. Would I choose to come back am not sure.

An item from my order was missed out which couldve been avoided had the order been repeated back. There was some burnt black piece on my food which was not part of what I ordered. No one came to check if everything was OK had to shout out for assistance.

Right off the bat, the staff are clueless. Lacking the very basic essense of professionalism, we were greeted by a depressed - at best - lady in uniform tapping away at her phone. When asked about the menu, she simply pointed at a general direction and continued doing whatever it was she was doing. (Okay...) Needless to say, the service itself was suicide inducing. Some bot on this platform said something about the food compensating for the shyt service. WHERE. Dont f-ing waste your time, forget the money, just avoid this wretched cesspit.

Fui con mi familia, así que incluye tres hijos, he ido a Tinseltown muchas veces. Comida - perros calientes son enormes y muy bueno comparado con hamburguesas y vendas. La ensalada de pollo mexicana es muy agradable el único hecho como ensalada, incluso la ensalada...

Este sitio necesita una mejora personal necesita también prestar más atención a los clientes en vez de charlando en la esquina. Pedimos comida para niños y pollo, hamburguesas, comida llegaba rápidamente y fue una proporción adecuada. Personalmente, yo no haría mi camino a esta cadena basada en Gants Hill, personalmente la sucursal de farringdon es mucho mejor.

It was the last option on boxing day after most restaurants closed earlier than usual. It was the first time we eat there. We ordered two regular beef burgers that were delicious and enjoyable. Fries were great too. As for the milkshakes We had a mango shake that was alright and an Oreo something shake that wasn't the best I had. The place was lovely and busy as well. It is good for couples, families and friends. The beef was Halal and they didn't any offer alcohol.

I went here with my partner for something to eat. Inside was nicely decorated. You can eat in or take away which is good. We sat in this time, the menus were good and a lot of food choices. The food come very quickly and was enjoyable. But the milkshakes were so tasty! I don't think I would go here for the food again because it wasn't nothing too special. But I would come again for a milkshakes!

Large choice of fast food and ice cream. The ice creams were delicious.Service was good.Parking difficult with only a few bays around as it is permit parking. However the tube station is less than 50m away.

i went Tinseltown last week and as i am a vegetarian there is not much option on main course for me to eat so i ordered the veggie burger with a side of chips and a milkshake to drink. the milkshake was OK. however the burger tasted like a bunch of vegetables thrown in some breadcrumbs and deep fried and that wasn't it. on top of this my food came out completely cold. i just was so upset by my meal that i finished my milkshake and i left with my friend and i had to get some fries from the chicken and chip shop close by.

We went here for our friends birthday meal. The food was lovely but we were not impressed by the attitude and the looks the waiter was giving us. We had to constantly ask them to come over so we could order but they kept glancing over us and ignoring us. When we did order the food we had to wait a while for the food to arrive. If the service was more acceptable then we think we would have enjoyed the meal more.

Popped in here with friends for a bite to eat. Apart from my friends son we are all in the 50s bracket. The food was pretty good and service as well. We found the level of music not conducive to conversation. Would come here again.

Some of the staff are excellent like Marta. However most speak poor English and have a poor understanding of the need for a vat reset! the food is usually quite good except on Monday and Tuesday. In fairness the staff work really hard in a difficult environment. It was the behaviour of other customers that put me of to be honest.

The food was very expensive even though it was not that extravagant.Also the steak was a very small portion but highly expensive.The milkshake was the best of all the foods ,the ice cream was just whipped cream and sprinkles.But the atmosphere and staff were positive!

I really like American food as well as many other cuisines, but Tinseltown for me was not a good experience. The food was very processed and not of a high quality. We ordered a variety a variety of foods and milkshakes and I really was not impressed with any of it. Service was ok, the cashier was friendly enough.

This place is really quite average. It’s not bad but it’s not good either.We popped in here on the off chance when passing through as we returned from London to Essex on Sunday night. We walked in and got a table straight away despite it being quite busy, which was a good start. But the service was fairly limited thereafter. We had to call waitresses over when required and bizarrely we were unable to order from our table unless one person was paying for the whole bill.I’ll focus on the food, which wasn’t terrible but was made with pretty poor quality ingredients. I had a double bbq burger and fries. The fries were fine if a tad anaemic looking. The burger however had that off putting combination of being particularly greasy externally but somewhat dry inside. I suspect the actual burgers are not made on site and have low meat content. The sort you get from a greasy burger van and previously frozen. Id also guess that the burger had been hanging about on the hot plate prior to being placed in the roll etc.. hence the dryness.I have given them a dig above because the quality was poor, but the food was more than edible. I didn’t try the shakes or deserts which looked quite good I must admit. It’s just having been to many good diners/burger places on this basis I would rank it lower than a McDonalds.I’d go again, if I had to, but I wouldn’t choose to.

We had visited tinsel town today we ordered bbq wings, a double and single beef burger for 2 people. When I poured my bottle of water into my glass I noticed something floating in my glass, the waiter gave a replacement, instead of it being a bottled water it was tap, the waiter said if I want another bottle of water he'll have to ask his manager, thankfully they replaced the water and glass. The food was a bit dry but it did have flavour and was Moreish.Nice place if your in the area and don't want to spend too much.

The food arrived in a timely manner and there were no issues with the quality of the starters or mains we ordered. However, no one approached us to take our order after waiting for 20 minutes so i had to go to the counter to ask for someone to come to our table. Additionally, there was never any food quality checkbacks and i had to get up out my seat again to order more drinks, ask for sauviettes and takeaway boxes. The shocking thing is there were 4 people front of house and there were 4 tables sat at the time so i was very surprised at the level of service!!

Often passed this restaurant, due to no parking was always put off by it. However we risked it by parking in front of the shops further down... Wish we drove past to be honest.Service was good, helpful and friendly. But it was empty and only 3 tables to serve.Food... Disaster, I thought it was over priced and expensive. Chicken wings came out warm not hot, and tasted awful. It was like they cooked the chicken the night before, put it in the fridge and then reheated it.... I couldn't eat it. I left it to the side as only had one bite. The joke of it was I still got charged for the chicken wings, even when I said it was cold. Read the menu carefully, because it is an halal place and they don't serve pork. My husband ordered a pulled meat sub, thinking it was pork, it was beef. He took two bites and said it tasted disgusting. Again got charged for it. Only positive out of this expensive disaster was the milkshake. Don't waste your time or money on this place, read the previous reviews.... This many customers can't be wrong. So over priced on the food and not worth it. Decor it tacky and dated, looks like a McDonald's from the 1980s. This restaurant needs a new lease of life and new management.... I went here with my friend on a Friday night. We found the service was good and the milkshakes were great (the Kinder Bueno one was amazing!). The real let down was the food. The burger was very basic looking (as if someone has just purchased cheap bread, burgers and salad from local supermarket and thrown it together) and the portion of chips was very small. Overall, we are unlikely to go back as the food is very poor.

The food is decent and service is good. The staff were very accommodating and the family enjoyed their meal. The drawback with this branch in particular is parking and difficult to get to due to the Gant's Hill roundabout and the A12 dual carriageway. The entertainment / hollywood / celebrity theme is okay but for a real american style dining I would recommend Bug Moe's in Beckton which also has decent parking.

Really don't understand why so many negative reviews! Been here many times but this time had to leave a review. Although we arrived at 830 ish, it was totally full & buzzing. The queueing service was great & the staffs were very professional in arranging seats for everyone. Nobody complained as far as I could see. Food was also as expected very good. Milkshake is the best, steaks are a bit pricey. But definitely not a 1 star plz...

Thought it would be a good place for a little family trip with kids - everyone was disappointed :/ The food was over-priced, not tasty, stale, bland, and completely average as if it was school cafeteria lunch or something. Thought they couldn't possibly get the dessert sundaes wrong but even those were over-priced and bland and had stale biscuits in them.

Service was poor, had to go up and call someone twice to take our order than for paying had to call someone three times. First and last time time i will be going to this place. Went for a shake quality wasn't good, better off going to a dessert place than here

We have visited here a few times this year (2015) and we enjoy the atmosphere, service and tasty food. The food is reasonably priced and has good sized portions. The range of milkshakes is huge and we find it difficult to chose one! I recommend the peanut butter brownie milkshake as it is very nice!

Now there's fast food & then there "fast food!" This place was recommended to us as an amazing place to eat, normally I check trip advisor before going, even if it has been recommended- This time I didn't, BIG mistake!! We ordered nachos to start, the chilli looked dried & the nachos were cheap & nasty. The worse of it was, we weren't even half way through the "starter" when out mains came out!! I tried to tell her we were not ready, but she didn't understand or wasn't interested & plonked the plates in front of us... The burger was "ok" but the "beef bacon" was odd & I took it out, it was neither good nor down right awful, but not a place I would ever re visit!! The Milkshakes however were really good!! I was a frequent visitor at tinseltown gants hill, despite them giving cheap labour and the staff Could not speak good English but what really took the muck was they have put the prices up and taken away certain things like salad and charge you for it now, they should of up their standard then put the prices up, would not recommend you to eat there until the greedy owner take a good look at there failing restaurant. Not value for money at all

Went for Iftar with family. Starter was given no side plates for the entire family! No staff to ask for plates. Don't order chicken peri peri. Bland chicken with just sauce plonked over it. Wanted another Coke. No sign of waiters! Had to wait another hour before milkshake and coke was delivered. Didn't give us water to break fast. Spent over £100! Never again. No discount or apology over poor service and food.

This was the worst dining experience I've had for this type of restaurant. The chicken breast was very dry and tasteless with BBQ sauce which was very unpresentable. It looked like they just poured half a bottle of BBQ sauce over the chicken - no skill in that. I was very disappointed with my food as I was expecting the sauce to be marinated into the chicken. The chips was also cold.

Staff are extremely rude!! Horrible service! I found a hair in my food and they claimed it was mine so they did not change it, then the wrap had a sweet sauce which i did not order! She claimed to have changed it as i asked her several times but it was all tumbling apart as it had been pulled apart then re made. the wings tasted old and disgusting. Seriously horrible place! Some staff should definately be fired!

4 of us went on a saturday night to try it out..place was pretty full...service was average as the burgers we ordered came flying out making us think it was ready and waiting for us.Overall unfourtunetly it was nothing special!! the food was very blunt burgers & chips was very poor quality and not worth the money at all. The bill was over £60 without any desserts.Think twice before going and spending your money when there's lots of other alternatives.

Visited this branch of Tinseltown for the first time to celebrate my son's 12th Birthday. We had a great evening. Although perhaps not top quality burgers, the prices were very reasonable compared with the larger chains of burger restaurants. The chicken wraps were delicious and all food was hot and freshly prepared. The restaurant is halal. Milkshakes and ice creams were amazing, with a huge range of flavours to choose from. My only small moan was that staff were not particularly friendly and one waitress appeared very rude when we questioned a mistake in our order. This would not put me off going again however as the food and atmosphere was good and I was impressed at the value for money

After entering what looked to be a closed shop, I was greeted by less than enthusiastic staff who simply muttered the word 'table?' rather quietly. Once I established what they meant, I was whisked to a table. After choosing something seemingly appetising from their somewhat complicated menu, I waited for sometime for a waitress to take my order, only coming once I coughed for attention.I selected the firedog, fries, piripiri dip and added a Coke. The coke promptly appeared on my table with little fuss, the food, however, was something another matter. With only six people in the store, which could hold a significant number of people, I thought a simple meal like this would take little time, oh how wrong I was! After about 10-15 minutes a hotdog, fries and dip came from the kitchen.The look was interesting, resembling, quite appropriately something from the United States, albeit with a beef sausage taking the place of the hotdog. Generally the meal was not pleasant, with the hotdog having little taste except for the taste of overcooked beef sausage, the chips were fine but the salt tumbled out of the shaker making them almost impossible to eat. The dip tasted a little odd; and had I picked mashed potato as a side, I wonder what was to use the dip?At a cost of £6.00 (excl £1.99 coke) not really value for money; and definitely not value for service. Not recommended!

Fuimos a este restaurante a comer y pedimos la hamburguesa cajún y las alitas. La comida nos pareció deliciosa, además de los batidos, que también estaban muy buenos. Pero no todo fue bueno, ya que el servicio fue un poco lento (tardaron más de veinte minutos en tomarnos nota y casi veinte minutos más en traernos la cuenta). Además trajeron lo que pedimos aleatoriamente y uno de los batidos cuando ya estábamos terminando casi de comer, por lo que no lo quisimos. En definitiva, la comida nos pareció de buena calidad, pero el servicio dado podría mejorarse bastante.

We visited on the evening of the 28th of February, to be seated and ignored for 20 minutes. After asking for our order to be taken we were told another member of staff would take it and were we paying together or individually? After another ten minutes the angry blonde waitress with the tattooed chest again asked us if we were paying together or separately before even taking our order, when we asked if we could order together and make individual card payments she screamed at us to inform us that we would have to order at the till., as it would take her an hour to process such payments. Confusingly she then proceeded to take our order, although at this point we decided to leave due to the extremely rude waitress.I can see why the menu stated ‘no service charge’ as the service here is evidently terrible. Furthermore, I cannot understand why payment was such an issue before we had even made our orders as surely this could have been handled at the end of the meal. Lastly, how incompetent was the waitress as it would take me a mere 3 minutes to process 5 separate card payments, and I am not even trained to do the job like she is.Many of my friends have referred to Tinseltown Gants Hill as “crap” and know I can see why. I suggest that everyone opts for one of Tinseltown’s better branches in London such as Farringdon or Bayswater.

Been to a few Tinseltowns for milkshakes and could never complain - how can you go wrong with a milkshake, especially on a flying visit! We decided to go for some dinner, I must say the main food was lovely, really tasty wrap - shame about the deserts (which it's famous for?) The cakes were pretty bad, stodgy, not very tasty and a complete waste of money! My biggest complaint though was the service - absolutely dire!! Waited ages to be seated, then even longer to be served food came out in about 20 mins but we still hadn't received our drinks - had to ask 3 times to get drinks and then they tried to give us 4 drinks (2 of us). Service was slow, some staff didn't speak very good English and it was quite painful trying to order. Restaurant itself was quite dirty, the toilets were disgusting and far too hot! I'd return for a takeaway wrap - that is all!

The only fresh thing they do are the milkshakes. Burgers taste like bland rubber, Mcdonalds is better. Probably why they don't bother asking if you like the meal or not.

After a long day travelling, Tinseltown was the first place we found to eat and just the easy option so we weren't expecting much. However, we were pleasantly surprised by a lovely meal. The food was really tasty and reasonably priced, milkshakes to die for, and the service was great considering it was so busy.Whilst its not the most romantic place in the world, it was a good experience all the same and would definitely return if ever in the area again.

Me sorprende ver críticas tan negativas a este restaurante. Cenamos tres noches en él y la experiencia no fue desagradable en absoluto.Evidentemente no puedes esperar un gran nivel culinario en una cadena de comida rápida, pero el personal fue servicial, el local estaba muy limpio y la comida era acorde a su precio.Lo peor era que en el aseo de caballeros tenían la calefacción muy alta y parecía que entrabas en una sauna.

I visited this place with a friend. It wasn't busy at all and the place wasn't really clean. Food was actually decent but the staff were extremely rude. God knows what it'll be like when it's busy. I will not be visiting it again.

I visit Tinseltown today, with 5 of my friends. The food in Tinseltown is fairly dear considering it is not that nice. We had all visit the resturant earlier this year in April and our experience then was not very good, 2 people ended up with the wrong burgers, and nearly everyone left with an empty stomach the food was barely edible.Iit was very over cooked, pre heated, and lazily put together. So we all thought we would visit the resturant again, 8 months later, hoping that the food would have improved. Big mistake. A friend and I had firstly order a starter of nachos. But as my other friends had order there food. which did not included a starter, only a short amount of time before us. Their main arrived aswell as our starter. And about 5 minutes after the nachos had arrived out main also arrived. Don't get me wrong I love a quick service, but when 2 course are served within a matter of 5 minutes between each other it's is ridiculous. When my main meal finally arrived (peri peri grilled chicken And chips) I was horrified to see that my chicken looked absolutely nothing like the typical delicious peri peri chicken. It was drowned in a oranges puréed sauce, Which looked a lot like orange tomato purée. When I tried a piece of the chicken I was disgusted at the fact the chicken tastes nothing like peri peri chicken and a lot like tomatoes with chilli. The chicken which had clearly just been thrown into the microwave. Was horrible. The chips were cold and dry. The tomato sauce, if that's what you would call it was watery and sweet. When it came to desert I ordered two desert for my friend and I, as you had to continuously go to the till to order food. I order two cakes with ice cream. But when they arrived there was no ice cream just cake... When I clearly stated to the member of staff that I would like ice cream for both.The staff were ok. Some had fairly poor English skills and did not understand General things like serviette. While waiting to order my dessert I waited a good 10 minutes till some decided to serve me. The staff seemed to enjoy having their own group conversations behind the till, instead of serving customers. Overall my experience at Tinseltown was horrific some drastic changed need to be made food wise, also hygiene wise. I Think the owner needs to take in some of the customer reviews if they want their resturant to improve.I will definitely not be visiting again I learnt from both of my mistakes.

Its better to go to any cheap chicken and chips shop at lest there would be some taste and will only cost you £2.99 for burger chips and drink, It was very Cold food, stinky wings, average burger and even the fillet inside was cold :) I would say if you want to spend this much amount of money you better go to a decent place like Nandos, I would never go to Tinseltown ever again, the only good thing was there shake but again too expensive and you could buy better and cheaper shake from McDonald.

First time at this tinseltown. It was busy when we came.The tables are laid out very close to each other so very little in the form of privacy. After ordering we faced a very long delay of approximately the 1 hr to get our food. I understand that there is a wait when it is so busy but it was disconcerting to see people who came in well after us received their food well before us!Maybe there had been a mistake but it was never acknowledged. We had to ask several times for the good during this time.Became so hungry that I would have eaten anything which could have impaired my taste buds for the quality of the food. Hence the slightly lower review.Nevertheless when it did actually come out, was warm, well cooked and flavoursome. So no complaints with the quality of the food. Milkshakes as always are of high quality. Also that birthday video is tedious and repetitive. A little annoying but you learn to ignore it after a while.Overall it is like all tinseltowns good food, busy atmosphere but our experience was marred by the incredible unacknowledged delay for food. I don't think I would return to this one for food.

Went in here with pals for a quick munchie after a trip to Southend-on-sea pier. Atmosphere is pleasant, staff are quiet friendly- although felt a bit rushed with the service- would visit again!

This place has a bad atmosphere, very rude, miserable staff and average food! Milk shakes are the best thing about this diner, but not good enough that I would go back and spend another moment in this place. Never again!!

Service was fast but the food was OK . Buns were stale and the fries are frozen fries but the veggie burger patty inside was nice .

went today with a big group of friends after a few months, all of us hated what we ate. Our buns were stale and dry, chicken burnt etc ... my wrap didnt contain what i ordered but they kindly made another. Shakes were great, some of the staff were very rude. Its a huge shame as their food used to be lovely!

My first time going here and probably my last. Most of the food was average except the veggie cheese burger. I can't say the service was bad like I've seen in other reviews but the atmosphere in Tinseltown isn't great.

I went on a Saturday night for a birthday. We had to pay an extra £6 for them to play and outdated Hollywood stars video with a theme song. This is the second time I have been to this Tinseltown. I will not be going back again. The service was very poor, the staff where rude and the food was dry and burnt.

Visited tinseltown on fri with my family of 8 people, was told we had to go up ourselves and order our own food individually, then when food was brought over to us the waitress just put food and drinks on table and never bothered to share them out!! Then when eating my starter i noticed a blonde hair in my food which i took straight back!! When our mains arrived chicken burgers were burnt to a crisp and beefburgers were hard lol ... My salad also looked like it had seen better days !! Also table had been wiped with a stinking cloth with made a nasty smell!!! I would avoid this place like the plaque . Food is disgusting and service is worse !!!!!!!! The whole place is a shambles !!!

Went with a friend who was visiting from up north.She'd heard rave reviews about Tinseltown in Leicester so thought we'd give the Gants Hill one a try. A halal American diner? Bring it on! Mistake. Food was terrible - rubbery tasteless beef burgers served in dry stale sesame buns. Not quite the bespoke hand made burgers that were promised on their website. Fries were clearly cheap frozen version. Tried the Texan Wings - again awful, very hard and stringy, almost like they'd been fried a number of times before they'd been doused in sauce and put in front of us. Service mediocre at best. Only redeeming feature was their milkshakes...but seeing as so many other high street diners do that why would you come here specifically for those?? Definitely will not be returning!

Went here with a friend for a quick meal one evening, the milkshake was OK but quite expensive. The food was oily and not particularly enjoyable, and the place is flooded with local wannabe gangsters all strutting around like they have something to prove. One lad who was walking around like he owned the place, when we asked him where our food was he told us he doesn't work there! After going to the Farringdon one this place is a huge letdown, and a poor excuse for a halal diner my Muslim friend was not impressed and we have not been here since.

Went with a group of friends on a Friday night. We were seated fast, the staff were attentive- however, my only disappointment is that when the waiter came over to take our order, the first thing he asked was if we were all paying separately- we were so that meant we all had to go individually and order and pay at the bar. It just seemed like lazy service.Apart from that, the milkshakes were AMAZING. I would recommend the Chocolate Malt! Food was very fast. I had the nachos (which were huge) but my friends had burgers, all seemed to enjoy it. Great menu selection. Would recommend for a fun, family friendly place.

We went as a family because my daughter wanted to go. Basically this is a burger joint dressed up to impress the twenty somethings who are living at home and loads of disposable income. Unfortunately it does not come off. My wife had buffalo wings which smelled, I had steak which was dry and the chips looked like Sainsbury Basic.Toilets ( Gents) were a Steel trough and basins very basic.For what they provide not very good value for money. Not going back in a hurry.

My first visit here and probably my last! I get the impression a half hearted attempt at a new your style diner ! I believe you pay for you get when it comes to food - but it just seemed alot of hype with a huge anticlimax - really dry burgers and poor service

Much quieter compared to the one in city (farringdon). Just off the roundabout, as always I end up ordering the buffalo wings and beef burger with chips. The atmosphere is very quiet and i think the staff are very chilled back compared to the city. Everything is HALAL which is brilliant! I recommend everyone to visit Tinsel Town but the one in Farringdon! Dont forget to grab the ferrero milk shake!

My daughter wanted to have her birthday party at Tinseltown as her friends recommended it. On arrival no one was there greet us. Being a Sunday night it was fairly quite. All the staff just looked at us and went about their business!! Few minutes later one of the staff asked us if we had a booking, looking around the place it was more than half empty! I did book and told them it was a birthday party.We were seated and then left for ages before someone decided to take our drinks order. Not goodThe drinks took another 20mins to get the our table. By then I was losing my patience and felt like walking out due to non service from staff. There was six of them to manage 6 tables. After ordering our food come out quickly which did make me worry, however, the burgers were fresh and tasty. Milkshakes were thick and cold which was nice to have with the burgers and American fries. After our desserts they bought out the birthday cake which I pre-ordered and they sang birthday song at the table with TV screens showing celebrities saying happy birthday which made up for all the earlier downfalls. Would I go back.... No

My friend and I visited Tinseltown yesterday (20/1/14) and we were more than a little disappointed!I had the "veggie" burger which was sadly, the cheap and nasty vegetable burger which is i've found in several low end burger joints. The burger itself is full of potato and and completely tasteless. Chips were very standard and my friend had a chicken wrap which was greasy.The milkshakes which we ordered at the same time as our meals, took ages to arrive and we had almost finished our meal by the time they did.There are so many other good diner type places around, AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Been here a few times for birthdays and ect i love it even though it's a bit overpriced and the food isn't wow the menu is vast and exciting.A good place for celebration or special occasion.

The food looked nothing like it does on their online menu, choice is limited and there is no american theme about it!!! Tacky and cheap decor making it look scrubby. Best thing thus restaurant produces is the milkshakes that would be the only shame if they we're to close down.Not going back for the food just a takeaway milkshake will do me

Tinseltown is located on gants hill round about..The place isnt really great for special occasions or dates..You can walk in if ure with bunch of friends and walking by while ure hungry but not worth planning and trying specially..the ambiance of restaurant is poor, the good is fine, nothing very special..the environment of this place isnt really comfortable. i didnt liked it much..

I went here a while ago as I wanted to try it out to be fair the food was pretty good milkshakes were great. Main obviously was just a burger not the greatest one ive ever had but it was fine. Atmosphere was awful though a fight broke out there was even a bouncer on the door I was like 6 months pregnant so did not enjoy that at all. Obviously that isn't the restaurants fault it was the individuals who started the fights.

Atmosphere: Tinseltown decor is not very nice, it looks tacky, cheap and feels uncomfortable. I felt it was so bright where we were seated. The restaurant is spacious and has many booths and smaller tables for couples. It is loud and the TV was on the 80's channel - great if you like that sort of stuff.Service: The staff were very smiley and polite. When seated our table was wobbly and they happily cleaned another table for us to move to. Food: I had the BBQ wings, which were very very nice but it might just be because I love BBQ wings! My partner had a hotdog and said it was pretty 'average!' The coke didn't really taste like coke but more like the cheap stuff or mixed with water? The portion sizes are rather small for a American Diner but it was good for me but don't expect large portions at Tinsel Town. Food did however arrive fast and was nice and hot. The ketchup was really tangy and I don't know about anyone else but I like ketchup on my fries.. But this tangy stuff really put me off the food. Price: For the price it is a good value. Some of the milkshakes and go up to £5, which is ok because they are quite large. I would come here again but not on a 'special occasion' it's a very nice place for families and the kids. However, did enjoy it but could've been better!Tip for Tinsel Town: Please dim the lights a little and get some real ketchup and coke! Not that fake stuff!

went here as a group of friends, used to go tinsel town when they first opened but seeing their standards drop stopped going but decided to give it a go again.shouldn't have gone back, atmosphere is ok but not brilliant, got seated in a corner booth, table was a bit wobbly but not serious enough to move, order was taken easily and staff were fine, then the food comes and then you realise nothing has changed much. the burgers have shrunk incredibly and are bland to taste at best with limited sauces, even a burger called ' the don', was nothing more than a mouthfull especially as the portion of fries has been reduced as well.After the burgers we had which cost about £8.99 each we were still hungry so went for desserts, bad idea.we ordered cakes and ice creams, both have no taste what so ever only texture so at the end of it, instead of having enjoyed a dessert and feeling contented you actually feel depressed.my recommendation is avoid tinseltown based on its food taste and price and go to Grillfellas , a small takeaway shop in Katherine rd , east ham and you will not be disappointed with their food quality, freshness, portions and price and then hit Afters ice cream parlour afterwards.tinseltown has got a lot of work to do to regain its original place as a top burger place.

Second experience of this restaurant. The first time i dismissed everything that irritated me-mainly the service- because i felt it could be a one off and i should not judge based on my first time. I was wrong as i returned there with the same friend and it only seemed to be worse. The service is TERRIBLE. There is no excuse for it. The staff stand around, dont bother asking if your food is okay, dont bother with anything or anything. Customers sit and then walk out as their still waiting to be asked what they would like to eat. When i tried to make a complaint, the staff dont even understand what that means. A staff member looked at me and i am not sure if they all, including the manager act dumb, but actually asked me what the word meant. We were given the wrong food, and then they charged us for this, including a sevice charge (what service?) and i was baffled how an order could be written wrong when clearly stated? Their menu isnt that hard to understand but doesnt even tell you what is actually included with your food. The chips were awful. It wasnt worth my £12.00. Eds diner is SO much better, SO MUCH BETTER!This is appauling for a chain, unless your going for a quick milkshake, by that i mean takeaway literally dont waste your money, dont bother, that i say genuinely. Go somewhere else like Nandos instead as you will enjoy your food, it will be good quality, and you most likely wont leave feeling sick, or robbed for your money either. The manager doesnt even CARE, the manager!! What do they do, hire people that dont have a clue how to run a restaurant >.<........

Took my four-year-old for a milkshake. Purchased some fries and a banana split as well that were a similar set up to nachos. Cost me £18! This a lot more than it tasted like it should have been. The milkshakes are just that - milkshakes. You can get better is the major chains. The fries were stuck together and the plate they were old was so hot - it could not be touched. It was obvious the food had been heated in a microwave!!! The banana split - well, I have better in most places. The service was adequate, but they tried to rush us - it was supposed to be a treat for my daughter - I felt guilty taking her - she would have preferred the major burger retailer in the UK - sounds like acs. The interior of the restaurant is extremely cheap and tacky. Dont be fooled by the pictures - Ikea sell better quality tables and the chairs/booths are uncomfortable. Toilets could do with ripping put and replacing. Further, they charge 10% for service which they add to the bill. Then the waiting staff dont expect you to want the change and even when you do - they short change you and say they don't have any 5ps. Other reviews are similar on this site - this is an awful place - avoid and spend your hard earned elsewhere.

I visited here on 6th April as part of a birthday meal. We were seated and the waitress refused to take our order as we wanted to pay separately. We had to go up and order our food. Food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. The last burger arrived and it was a beef burger instead of a chicken burger. We were asked to produce our receipts to prove that they got our order wrong. The chicken burger arrived 10 minutes later when everyone had almost finished their meals. When it arrived, it was still wrong and was missing the dip and my drink never turned up either so I had to go ask about that too. Every member of staff looked like they hated being there and didn't apologise for their errors. One good thing was the taste of the burgers and shakes. We all enjoyed the quality of the food. All in all, a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning any time soon.

I don't know if this a feature of all this chain but the Ilford branch certainly lacks something. The food is overpriced under portioned and frankly not very nice to eat. No pork at this branch, and no alcohol, this should be made clear at the start.

Tinsel Town used to be an amazing place but it appears in its expansion it has failed to maintain the quality or value.Food is way too expensive. Please go back to basic and take a look at the menu.

I ate here on the 24th nov. the food arrived really quickly and tasted really good. The milkshakes are to die for. I was so impressed with the food that I decided to come back in the evening for dinner. The atmosphere was abit quite for a Saturday afternoon and evening but the waiters couldn't do enough. I would definatly go back if I was in the area again.

We visited Tinsel Town this week to celebrate a family members birthday. There were 8 of us in total (7 adults and a baby). They seated us next to a very large group (approximately 30 people) and immediately we had a problem. The table next to us were shouting at the top of their voices to each other. I could not hear what the person immediately next to me were saying. Even when giving our order to the waitress we found ourselves having to repeat what we were saying a number of times so she could hear us. It should have been immediately obvious to the staff that the table being loud was a problem to all of the other diners. However it was not (or they chose to ignore it). Once our main courses arrived we pointed out to the waitress that the noise was far too excessive. Her response was to tell us this is nothing and they often have groups in louder than that. She said that she would have a word with the table, however none of us witnessed that happening. Whilst eating the main course another staff member asked us if everything was ok with the meal. We then said no problems with the food however the noise was not acceptable. They then asked if we would like to move tables (by which time we had nearly finished our main courses). We declined as by now our evening had been ruined and we wanted to vacate as soon as possible. Why were we not asked if we would like to move earlier?One of the members of our party had brought a birthday cake which had been given to staff to bring to the table after our meal. Once we had finished our mains the waitress asked if we would like to see the desert menus. We declined. The waitress then returned to the table with the bill and the cake still in the box. We then asked the waitress to take the cake back and bring it out with some candles (which was originally agreed) however the suprise had already been spoilt. When they brought the cake out they put on a special video which it seems they do for every birthday. This would have been a nice touch if we could hear it. We could not hear any of it because of this noisy table. As we were leaving a member of our party asked to speak to the manager. He was told there was no manager in tonight and asked if he would like to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor came out and said that he was unable to do anything and advised him to call the next day and speak to the manager. He called the next day and the manager was not very helpful at all. Bottom line. If you want overpriced mediocre food with unhelpful staff, this is the place for you. If not, steer well clear. Thanks for a ruined evening! We will not be back!
