Lovely waffles and maple syrup for Sunday breakfast .

Went here as was in the village, and hungry. Ordered a bacon sarnie (without looking at the price). It should have come with tomato chutney, but came with 2 sachets of sauce, (1 ketchup, 1 brown). The service was good. Can't say alot about the atmosphere as it was pretty quiet in there. The sandwich itself was no more than average, and at £5.65, I think expensive. Would I return? Yes, but not for a bacon sandwich!

A nice little tea shop/cafe. Lots of interesting gifts to look at whilst eating. Ordered sausage sandwich with tomato chutney, but it arrived with a sachet of tomato ketchup. The food was OK, average. Prices not too bad.

We had a really lovely afternoon here last week as a birthday treat. The food was all delicious, the scones and cakes fabulous, served on the prettiest china. Lovely friendly staff in a relaxed setting, and so much food we had to box some up and take it home. Can highly recommend.

Idyllic little tearoom / cafe with an attached gift shop. Their cakes are fresh and very tasty and the coffee was hot and full of flavour. They have a range of meals that seemed to be going down well with the fellow diners. The prices are fair and give good value for money. Best recommendation is we'll be back.

I was delivering nxt door and had to wait so popped in for a cup of tea beautiful place very clean staff and owner so nice friendly home made cakes look to die for I would highly recommend if your in the area pop in you won't be dissapointed.

Had brunch with 'The Ladies that Lunch' girls from work. Lovely modern style tea room vibe, very welcoming. Staff were friendly, and attentive to our group of 8. Food was pre-ordered and excellent. Cakes are a must have, especially the Rainbow frosting 🌈 Absolutely recommend, your tasebuds will thank you 😁

Three Adults for Afternoon Tea and again, Tilly's did not disappoint. The food was plentiful, the scones were lush and the cakes had to come home with us!! This place is adorable with lots of lovely gifts to purchase adorning the walls. LOVE this place xx

Very disappointing. My order obviously got confused. When placing the order I said that neither person had allergies but was given a (vegan???) afternoon tea, all cheese sandwiches, cheese rolls and pseudo (cheese again) sausage rolls. Crisps were put in a brown paper bag as were the chocolate raisins. Couple of items were in small pots, one could have been lemon yoghurt - not quite sure?? The clotted cream given with the scones and jam was only just enough for one scone, certainly meagre to stretch to two. The individual chocolate cakes were quite nice but the jam and cream sandwich cake slices were soft and soggy (undercooked???) Shame, because this was supposed to be a treat for an elderly, infirm gentleman.

Staying in the area we popped in twice, once for lunch and again for a quick cuppa. Both times we found the ladies serving to be friendly and welcoming. Lunch was delicious, freshly prepared and generous. I was delighted to be able to eat safely as a Coeliac (gluten free). There is an allergen notice in the window and I was reassured when the lady said that she had prepared my food in a separate area of the kitchen to avoid cross contamination. The cakes looked delicious but we were too full to try them. The premises doubles as a gift shop which is a novel idea. Disabled access and toilet facilities are good. Overall a lovely bright and clean tea shop.

Despite being a same day booking Tilly's reserved a table for us to fit us in and fed us the most wonderful and extensive festive afternoon tea. A true delight that we would very highly recommend.

This was a second visit for afternoon tea, after firstly checking that it would be good enough as a birthday treat for my dad (it's a dirty job...). Needless to say, both visits were wonderful. There is a deceptively large amount of food, which only becomes apparent as you start to tuck in. The food is clearly freshly prepared, fresh bread and cakes. The fillings in the sandwiches are generous. Anything you can't eat you take home with you. The food is delicious, tea and coffee are unlimited, the staff are friendly and then when you've finished eating, there's a fabulous gift shop to browse. I'll definitely be coming back.

Heard such good things about this place. Booked a table and travelled all the way from Lincoln to eat there. However so disappointed to learn there was no cake left at 2pm! Only scones and some muffins. We opted for the scones, which were very nice, but not what I was expecting!

Booked as a surprise afternoon tea for my husbands 60th, there were 16 of us. Was so delicious, we had both the sweet and savoury options, which was appreciated by all. Endless tea and coffee. Highly recommended and when you have finished your tea you can browse the gift shop.

Just returned home from Tilly’s after my first time having afternoon tea there and i have to say a massive thank you. The food was excellent and beautifully presented and the staff were so lovely. I will most definitely recommend this and shall book again.

My daughter arranged for delivery of Afternoon Tea for two on Mothers' Day. It was amazing. It consisted of 4 full rounds of various sandwiches, sausage rolls, 2 cupcakes, 2 slices of cake, 2 scones with butter, jam and clotted cream, a little tub of chocolate buttons and raisins and 2 pieces of millionaires shortbread. The quality of the produce was excellent. It even came accompanied by daffodils. It was a delicious surprise which we enjoyed immensely. I can't wait for the Tea Shop to re-open so we can visit in person. Not least because our Granddaughter is called Tilly who we haven't seen for nearly a year. Well done to you all.

Staff were brilliant very friendly and I would give them 5 star. We decided to have the eat out to help out afternoon tea for 2 after booking and reading the reviews we was really excited about going, but what the reviews read and what we got was 2 very different things. I stated on booking that one of us didn't eat meat, so the only sandwiches I was given was cream cheese and cucumber whilst my mum only had ham, no selection (unlike everywhere else we have been). No choice in panini we got served a cheese and pesto one between us, which mum doesn't like pesto. We got a very cheap sausage roll cut in half ,a slice of supermarket quiche each, a scone each, a very cheap tiny cream slice (like the party selection from Iceland) which didn't taste very fresh plus another Iceland party selection custard éclair which was horrible tbh. Then we also got 2 slices of cake (different flavours)which were nice but again no choice which i think is a bit strange when you're sat there and they make that choice for you. And could be awkward if you went with a friend and you both want the same slice. Overall at half price this was priced well but at full price I would have felt robbed.

I ordered a Takeaway Afternoon Tea from the Father’s Day ‘manly’ choice! Booked and paid over the phone. Communication was brilliant. I arrived at booked time on the Sunday morning at 11am, stated my name and booking and they brought the food Straight out all boxed up. The place had precautions in place- screens up and masks on- hand sanitizer station. My Step father enjoyed the afternoon tea very much. Lovely place to visit for gifts too.

Nice but disappointed with quantity

Not knowing what to do this year for fathers day I decided to order cream teas from Tilly's. Best decision. I was able to collect sunday morning so everything was fresh and beautiful packaged. Nothing was too much trouble and my dad was surprised and it made his day. He said there was so much choice, all tasty and most enjoyable. Thank you so much Tilly's for making this a special day for both of us.

I was bought an Afternoon Tea (takeaway service) for my birthday last Saturday. It was waiting for me when I collected it and was in a beautiful floral box. Inside was sandwiches, crisps, sausage rolls, scones (with clotted cream, jam and butter to be added), pot of chocolate raisins and two slices of lemon meringue sponge cake. Everything was lovely and everything was eaten, just a good idea when we can no longer go to a cafe and be served afternoon tea at the moment.

Aftenoon tea was delicious, it had all sorts of yummy treats. Service was exceptional. Range of well made coffee and teas! My child loved the milkshakes with an assortment of toppings. Made several purchase from the well-priced Gift shop. Overall it was a lovely afternoon treat, definetly go there again. They also have a disabled toilet, with a baby changing station.

I'd booked a Mother's Day afternoon tea for Saturday 21 March and then the coronavirus happened and UK cafes were told to close. Tilly's were brilliant though, texting me even as the decision was just sinking in to offer a take away service. We picked it up and had it at home later that Saturday and it was lovely.Looking forward to going back when everything back to normal.

Just had a lovely, warm scone with cream and jam. Such a nice touch serving the scones warm. A nice pot of tea with an additional tea bag served on the side if you like “builders’ tea” and want it very strong. And when we asked for a top up of boiling water, not only did they bring us another pot but they put fresh tea bags in too, meaning that the tea wasn’t stewed. Would certainly recommend here and we will be going back. The staff were very friendly too. And although we didn’t have anything else to eat, we looked at the menu and the prices were very reasonable.

Caters for all disabilities lovely environment lovely food lovely shop. 10 out of 10 cannot fault it .

Been going all summer with dogs for walk called for coffee cake ect but today sun shining not cold to be told no tables outside in winter well my custom going elsewhere in future

We had afternoon tea here and it was absolutely fantastic! There was so much food for the 3 of us and it was such good value for money. The service here was second to none, a big thank you to all the ladies here who looked after us so well nothing was too much trouble. My daughter Tilly was so happy here and bought some wonderful gifts. If you are thinking of going here most definitely do!

We go to Tilly's every week and the food is excellent and the coffee cake is amazing. You always have a warm welcome and if they see anyone on there own they always involve them. Great atmosphere thank you lov KY ladies.

Coffee with friends? Come to Tillys! Or afternoon tea with your granny or lunchtime snacks with the family. Tilly’s is a great place to have a celebration, baby shower, hen party, birthday party. They have beautiful cakes to eat and lots of clothes and other things to look at. Cheerful and helpful staff. Great ambience. It’s hard to avoid the temptation to buy stuff. Come to Tillys in Metheringham!!

Unassuming from the outside but inside welcoming with a lovely, chilled atmosphere. We were late booking our afternoon tea, but they were very accommodating, The afternoon tea was amazing with a huge selection of savouries which included toasted sandwiches and paninis along with lovely sandwiches, salad and crisps. The cakes and scones were yummy and came with some very tasty chocolate treats. The single person cafetiere was a lovely touch!

Beautiful little find - great staff, great food and a great service. Lots of gifts to see which seems to be expanding. Just on your way out of Metheringham or on just on your way in. Definitely worth a visit.

We've been to Tilly's many times for afternoon tea with friends, a cheeky milkshake mid family bike ride or for a bit of gift shopping.

Love this place, warm friendly atmosphere, lovely food and loads to look at. The staff are very friendly and obliging. I visit regular now. 10/10 in my book.

Had a wonderful visit with both family and friends to this amazing Tea room. It had been recommended by my niece so decided to give it a visit as am based in Lincoln. Service was brilliant despite it being really busy. Cakes were honestly to die for. Went for the afternoon tea and have since been back to have a meal. Finished off with getting a wedding present from the gift shop. Have told all my friends to go - its that good! Thank you!

My hubbie and I went here for Valentine's day and it didn't disappoint! The cream tea was enormous and thoroughly delicious. The cakes are absolutely to die for! There are also some nice looking trinkets and clothes for sale dotted around the place. The staff were very friendly and there was a generally nice atmosphere in there. Highly recommended for cream tea or just a slice of cake and a cuppa if you're passing by.

Lovely visit to Tillys with my mum and 3 children. Staff super polite and helpful and delicious cake. I didn't buy any gifts but some really lovely things on display.

Tilly's is truly an exceptional tea room in a lovely village location. The service is very friendly and the selection of food is good. I haven't had one of their famous high teas yet but they look divine. The tea room has the added bound of a gift shop which sells quality products and clothing. Strangely I notice that one review here states that the carpets were dirty - I'm a local and there aren't any carpets in Tilly's! Very strange. A lovely place and I highly recommend a visit.

Been a few times to this tea room everyone so nice and friendly cakes are delicious love looking at all the gift ideas have bought a couple bits if let loose my purse be empty lol some lovely things I recommend this place if you need a special gift for someone with a coffee and cake thrown in perfect

I love coming here. It never disappoints. It’s a fantastic hidden gem. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food and drinks are perfect. Cakes are amazing. It is exceptionally clean and tidy. Gift shop is an amazing added bonus. I would definitely recommend it. I have read some negative reviews and how people can review it when they have never been is beyond me. With regards to dirty carpets there are no carpets and never have been. Ignore the negative reviews.

Tilly's is a little gem of a place, in the lovely village of Metheringham. I visited for the first time recently and would thoroughly recommend it. Delicious food and lots of interesting bits and pieces to buy too. Friendly helpful staff.

I visited Tilly’s for the second time with my daughter after having been with friends as the service and atmosphere was so lovely. That have more gifts and tests in the shop now too. Tea, sandwiches and cake sublime and will be back for sure!

You will receive a warm welcome when you arrive. I have ate several afternoon teas here and this one is by far the best I have eaten locally. Loads of yummy scrummy sandwiches and cakes, then to top it all the scones are warm and full size and totally delicious. I highly recommend Tilly’s not just for the great food but also the shop is packed full of great little bits and bobs. Perfect for gifts.

But if you do you can take it away with you. Service is like being at friends house. And great art work all round. All in a shop sized space. PLease dont change a thing

It's one of the nicest places I've being too for a long time . The service and staff are excellent and the quality of the food is second to none . You have to go to see what we mean .

The beautiful ladies of this shop now offer private party hire. My work colleagues & I decided to have a leavers afternoon tea here for 19 of us. It was AMAZING!! So much food, a great selection of sweet & savoury, such warm friendly staff who kept feeding us and a great price at £13.95 a head. Doggy bags for everyone were needed as nobody wanted to leave anything. I bet nobody ate anything later though.

My friend treated me to afternoon tea at Tillys tea and Gift Shop. Lovely setting, extremely generous portions, which we could not finish, so they kindly boxed what we left to take home (husband was delighted). Very good value for money. The bonus on top of this is that the gift store inside the café has a wonderful selection of cards and unusual gifts. Will definitely be returning.

Amazing afternoon tea today! What a wonderful place and so relaxing.

After visiting Tatteishall Castle called in for a Lattee. Greeted by a friendly lady who told us to sit down and she would come to our table. We ordered 2 latters and asked if one could be weak as my wife does not like strong coffee.The lady said no problem which made a change from the normal reply,sorry can't do that. My wife browsed the vast selection of gifts and finished up buying something. Wish it was nearer home as would love to visit again.
