I rang up to book a table as we were a group of 8 cyclists. The table was ready when we arrived and we were given a friendly warm welcome and our orders taken immediately. Service was speedy and food excellent, I had a tasty pea soup with a warm fresh cheese scone. One of the guys had an enormous plate of beans on thick toast. There was a good selection of cakes and I shared a yummy Date & Oat flapjack. It feels more spacious since the refurb and I noticed plenty of seating outside. They are open 7 days a week and we will definitely be visiting again.

This is a cafe we have been previously. It’s known for being friendly and welcoming. On this occasion we have experienced the opposite. Rude unfriendly with a behaviour like we were something under their shoes. We felt like second rate people outcasts. Most definitely not welcome. Thanks to the experience we will never forget or return. All our friends who also frequent this cafe will be included in our experience. Sad.

My wife and I met two friends for lunch at this great cafe. I was advised to book in advance, so I did. The menu choices were very comprehensive and there were also 'specials'. The quiche was particularly good - not your usual rather dry uninspiring cheese flan! Regrettably there was only one portion available to us - so get in early if you want it. The staff were all very engaging which made for a good atmosphere in the unpretentious, but charming surroundings. Pricewise? - very reasonable indeed.

A marvelous jewel of a cafe. Very popular. Even though I was in just after one o'clock, maybe a bit later, the day's soup had run out. The tuna toastie on granary bread with marmalade melted cheese homemade coleslaw and salad quickly overcame any slight disappointment. The proprietor(s), and staff are lovely, I have been here only once before, yet feel like a long-established customer.

Thought it was a bit pricey but not ridiculous Food and service was good, delightful young lady took our order. Went to pay and was charged 12 pounds for the Panini which should have been 10. Was corrected very quickly! I’m not saying I was deliberately overcharged, but we were obvious tourists and was first visit, I really hope it was an honest mistake, but I guess I’ll never know as I’ll go back to the Dysart Arms instead

We stopped at this little café on our way home to Bristol from a short staycation in the Lake District. We had decided, as it was a reasonably pleasant day, to take a mostly non-Motorway route home heading off the M6, onto the M56 and then taking the the A49 to Shrewsbury to a restaurant that we had made a reservation for lunch. Then we continued on the A49 and A417 to Cirencester (via SE Gloucester), from there it was then only a short and familiar onward journey to home. Having got clear of the motorways and onto the A49 we were in need of a break, and a cuppa. To we looked out for a likely place to stop and that turned out to be Bunbury, and thus to this café. We really enjoyed our coffee and tea and we were sad that we couldn’t enjoy some of the delicious food that we saw served to other tables. As I say we had reservations for lunch elsewhere. My partner took the opportunity for a comfort break and, whilst she did so, I purchased a limited edition print of a painting by a local artist. It was exactly what we needed, in colours suiting our lounge; the big bonus was that the subject matter really appealed too. It was my gift to my wonderful partner and to our lovely home.

I have been lucky enough to have breakfast at some of the best hotels/restaurants across the country. I have to say the full English breakfast here is the best I’ve had anywhere. The sausages and bacon are from the local butcher and are really high quality. The eggs are local and great yolky eggs. I’ve also had the home made quiche, which was also very good. Not only does the place have good food but the staff are incredibly friendly. When the owner is around (which is often) he always gives me a warm greeting and is full of smiles. This cycle friendly cafe is situated in a delightful Cheshire village, its clean inside and comfortable, it seems to be the hub of the community but you don't feel like an outsider gate crashing the party. The food and drink are nice but the chocolate on my cappuccino seemed a little cheap tasting. We enjoyed this genuine local, independent village cafe. The space itself is the first thing to appeal - a large, light area in a character building with nice vintage furniture. Comfortable and not too perfect - a mixture of styles and a bit of clutter add to the relaxed and welcoming vibe. Good baking is a feature - there was still quite a range of choices even after 3pm on the day we visited, and all if them were displayed in a tall cabinet so that we could see them all before making our selections. Coffee disappointing but service excellent and there were several newspapers for us to read as we relaxed. There is some parking for a few cars right outside, and a well set-up toilet. This is a good place in an appealing, "real" village to take a break while in this part of Cheshire.

Heard so much about this place since home fires from my friend so off we went to visit. Most disappointing from the moment we walked in and were greeted with "don't you want to park on the car park?" By the owner no " good morning or anything, so not a good start. Think he could do with going on a course to show him how to meet and greet. The whole place needs some tlc from a good paint job and a cracked window, to tables being very sticky. When the breakfast came it looked good and was hot however the white of my egg wasn't cooked enough so put me off the rest. I have to say this place has the most uncomfortable atmosphere I have ever had the misfortune to encounter in a long time, so sorry to say I won't be returning or recommending

We visit here regularly whilst out cycling and always have a warm welcome, great cakes and sandwiches. Today we went with some family and had a wonderful afternoon tea. It was quiet (unusually) as 4pm on a Monday. The afternoon tea was £9.50 including sandwich of your choice (so no worries about getting left with ones no-one likes), a cake of your choice (good selection and all homemade), a scone (delicious - served warm) with cream & jam and a drink. Great value, beautifully served & delicious food. The staff were fantastic, really efficient and friendly. Thank you!

This is a lovely coffee shop in the village of Bunbury - very friendly staff and great food. A very good lunchtime snack menu beautifully presented and really lovely homemade cakes & buns.Coffees are very good and I had a Baileys hot chocolate which was to die for. If you are passing near bye then Tilly's is well worth the visit

What I look out for when going out for a meal or going for a drink with a friend is good service, and good service is what I got. This petite, shabby chic dining area is perfect for any occasion, be it a hot chocolate and a catch up with your friends or a business lunch with co-workers. Keep up the good work guys, you're doing great. I highly recommend it.

We had Sunday brunch at Tilly's. It is very popular with the cycling crowd and was quite full, which meant that although our order was taken quickly, we had to wait a while for our food; the waitress did warn us about this and, as they had the Sunday papers to read and we were in no rush it was not a problem. The food was as good as you could expect from a coffee shop - good tea & coffee, fresh juice and freshly cooked breakfast using locally sourced ingredients

Lovely home cooked food in a very friendly cafe in the delightful village of Bunbury. Toasted sandwiches come with decent side salad and home made coleslaw, and make a decent meal in themselves.

Called in halfway round a walk in the freezing cold. Friendly chap who made us an excellent couple of lattes. There was some great looking cake but we were eating later. Warm and cosy interior, I could definitely spend more time in here.

Always a delight to have breakfast here. Proper full breakfast cooked and served to perfection by Holly and Gemma. There's nothing here to complain about at all. Always a warm welcome, and just a pleasure to make time here for a proper breakfast. What more can I say?

Called in after voting for breakfast as in the same lane. Although the restaurant was extremely busy and we had a little wait the food and service was excellent.
