I remember the day wraps from the market and they were good value and delicious, sadly they are not the same, I had a herb paneer wrap where there is an extra charge for how you have it, what is that about!!!!???Although it tasted very good it is small and way over priced as I believe the whole menu is and does not reflect the great experience I had when buying from the market

Samasa chat, masala fries, chicken tikka masala, pakoras, all delicious. Super friendly, and exactly the sort of local business we should be supporting.

This was my third visit to Tikka Tonic and every time, it has far surpassed my expectations. On my most recent visit, I tried the butter chicken curry with naan bread and samosa. It was truly the best butter chicken I have ever eaten with fragrant spices and a rich sauce. The owner said that this curry takes around 32 hours to put together and based on how it tasted I don’t doubt that it did. The food was all made fresh for me when I ordered and the experience was faultless. The next time I am in the Bury St Edmunds area I will definitely visit again.

Uttely dreadful food. Greasy and far too much chilly. Unedible and expensive. We ended chucking all our food in the bin and getting a sandwich from spar (which I wish we had done in the first place).

Ordered for collection and we're blown away by the quality (and quantity!) of this food. Fusion Indian isn't particularly mainstream but it should be - butter chicken pizza is an excellent idea. Marsala chips are nice and spicy and everything just tastes great. Will definitely order again. Thank you!

COVID-limited drive-through experience but worth it. The USP is a take on Indian cuisine with a clear fusion element. The menu says it all, and we had the Butter Chicken Pizza, some spicy chicken drumsticks and a Keema Naan Roll. This should have all come with a 'massive portions' warning! Firstly, the smaller items - the drumsticks and keema naan roll (a nice little concept in itself) were enough to deal with snack cravings. Secondly, the pizza was enormous and was large enough for 2 people to share without the additional items, so the whole lot certainly made for more than one meal. The pizza was certainly the highlight of our meal, with a nice thin crust base, beautifully flavoured topping and the cheese equivalent (if any) coming across with an almost halloumi-like flavour! If we're back in Suffolk we certainly know where to get our takeaway pizza from, and with the genial owner/chef delivering, service was spot on!!

Rubish and pathetic and a worst kind of experience first time Ever in my life. Ordered chicken masala and chicken naan role and when opened it was lamb moxed in chicken. I called to complain but he did no accpet and thrn went to show hin person and despite of clear difference of red and white meat and also the taste he clearly refused to accept and was firm it is chicken. Pissed me off to not limit. I would go further to take action against this guy because i asked him before ordering if the meat is halal or not and he confirmed chicken is halal and lamb is not halal. Still there was lamb in both chicken masala and chicken naan roll.

Tried this place after getting a leaflet through our door. We were intrigued by the unusual dishes on the menu. So glad we tried it. We had the kebab pizza, a naan roll with tikka and pakora. They were all delicious. Really zesty and fresh tasting. We’ll definitely be going back.

After experiencing delicious meals on the market I ordered a chicken dum biryanis it arrived a box of dry rice with a few pieces of dry chicken on for the price nearly £20 I was very disappointed and will not be ordering it again I will order other dishes as I have had a good experience with them and they have all been delicious but my experience with this biryanis is it is overpriced and very disappointing

My daughter made a welcome weekend visit during all this Covid stuff and although never tried Tikkatonic before thought I'd organise a special evening meal together. Initially I just called in to see if they were doing deliveries on this particular evening for a later order and was met by very polite gentleman (owner?) who was so easy to speak with and talked me through all their menu items with me. The guy then arranged for my take way to be delivered at suitable time to perfection.Covid safe and thought-out delivery. But wow what an incredibly different experience of Indian food this is. So fresh and full of delicious flavours to die for! I'm a fussy and critical eater / reviewer but guys you have to trust me and give this place a go. It's going to be a regular now on for me. Top tip: try their Keema Naan Egg Roll and their Chicken Tikka Masala - it's nothing like you've had before .. just ten times better!

Next to Krazy Horse Bike shops: popped in for lunch. Amazing authentic food cooked with passion. Great homemade chutneys & fluffy delicate Nann. If you like good food & are tired of your typical Indian this is for you.

My mother and I popped in here to get a take away order. I have to say the food was absolutely fantastic. We had pakoras, toasties, egg rolls and samosas. Every single item was as delicious and not at all greasy. The service was wondeful too, I cannot recommended this place enough. Cannot wait to try other menu items 😊

My wife and I went for the first time having picked a leaflet up about the valentines menu from Bury St Edmunds Market. £30 for 2 for 4 courses. We took our own alcohol. It’s on an industrial estate but the small room with 4 tables was warm and pleasant. The food was surprisingly good - somewhat different to what we have had anywhere else including India. Value for money and food quality along with excellent, friendly service warrants the 5* review. I hope they continue to prosper. Thank you for a lovely evening.

I first encountered TikkaTonic in the Bury St Edmunds market. I was blown away by the incredible flavour of the Samosa Channa Chat. It left every one of my taste buds tingling and satisfied. The only trouble is that my stomach is not big enough. I have over time sampled other dishes such as the Naan Egg Rolls and been to the Lamdin Road premises and every time have been impressed with the quality of the food. I am devastated to no longer live in the area as nothing I have found since comes close and my Ma tells me how much she enjoys taking a detour from shopping on a Wednesday or a Saturday to get a bite to eat. When I do return to the area, I will always try to make time to come back on a market day to get my TikkaTonic fix!

My husband, a friend, and I visited for dinner on a Saturday evening. The chef and owner, Madhur, is a very kind and talented man. All his dishes, sauces, and chutneys are made fresh on site. The spices are beautiful - do not expect your typical Bangladeshi-style sweet coconut dishes! My only comments for improvement are not food-related: the decor could use some love, and perhaps it would be good to have forks and knives available (though most of the menu is eaten by hand). Regardless, this place is worth the trip! Highly recommend.

Decided against eating at the Best Western Prior as the menu there looks really old fashioned. Found this place and had a wander, it’s around 15 mins walk, I am so glad I did. Food tasted authentic in the extreme, Indian street food is something I have never experienced in India but if it’s anything like that served at Tikkatonic it tastes sublime. I had the Samosa Channa Chaat followed by the Chicken Tikka Naan egg roll. Bursting with flavour in every mouthful. 100% gets my vote for something different and something special.

Catch this delicious food whenever you can! The perfect amount of spice, always hot and fresh. I typically have the chicken tikka and some pakoras, they are amazing. The chutneys on top really seal the deal.

This is Bury St Edmund's answer to London's 'Dishoom' and 'Kati Roll Company'. I was shocked and excited to see these guys selling what they call 'Naan Egg Roll' but seems similar to a Kati roll right here in Suffolk. I had previously travelled half way across Delhi to track down a Kati roll having seen Rick Stein do the same in Calcutta on his show. In actual fact, for me the real star here is their samosa's; WOW these are absolutely incredible with a dash of the tamarind sauce and the sliced onion. So authentic and so very tasty. The liver curry is fab too.

Since moving to the area Tikkatonic is easily the best food I have eaten in the local area. I love spicy food with good flavour. I enjoy the Naan Egg Roll with lamb and chickpea. If you find yourself at the Bury St Ed’s market you should surely give it a go! I ate at the restaurant location as well and the customer service is fabulous.

Overall a very pleasant evening. The service was extremely attentive and we were greeted warmly. I asked for the wifi password as there was no signal and wanted some way to receive a message in case of emergency and I did feel that the excuse of it ‘not working’ was a little unbelievable. The king prawn butterfly dish was absolutely terrible. Burnt and almost inedible. The rest of the dishes however were very nice. They did say they were short staffed so it was possibly a blip.

Although we have had nice meals from here in the past, the last one was very worrying, during the nigh we were both seriously ill. We did collect the food early so I don’t know if that was the problem and they hadn’t cooked it properly !! Whatever it was it has put us off returning.again.

We booked a table for 6.30 as we needed to be in the Arts centre for 8 o’clock, table wasn’t set already , they brought out poppadums that were stale ( yesterdays I reckon ) , we ordered within 5-10mins , not a difficult order just 5 curry’s and rice , no side orders to make it easy After chasing twice was told will be 10 minutes, so at 7.40 when it still hadn’t arrived ,we had to leave as we would not have time to eat it . We were the only people in the restaurant at the time ( can understand why now ) and the phone didn’t ring once for any take away orders .
