Tier in Nottingham

Tier used to be great but looks like they are now catering to the “lowest common denominator” cocktail scene. Pretty poor cocktails. Had an espresso martini and cosmopolitan. Swerved the happy hour menu as that’s usually not very good. Despite that tactic, what we got was two piss poor watery drinks lacking both substance and flavour. Very disappointing and won’t go back.

For older people 30+ a good alternative to the other bars where there are young people

Lovely little bar on 2 floors, sat outside as sunny, got table service very helpful and chatty young man, so worth a visit, have eaten there but a while ago and it was fab

Love the vibe, cosy and warm, the drinks are great and so is the food! The staff is super friendly too! I’d definitely recommend this place both for a meal or a night out. Edit: I’ve been there so many times now and the drinks and food never disappoint! The staff is always so welcoming as well, such a great place! Lovely new menu as well!

Didn’t try food. But drinks were London quality without service charge, which is insane due to quality and service. Was well looked after by Brian who was smashing drinks and drinks solo for abit whilst other tender was on break. Super impressive how on it he was with a full house on a Monday. Had to pay more for service because it was impeccable. Will be returning again for sure.

Have been needing to write this review for so long but the staff here are so lovely! I fainted outside their bar a few months ago and were so helpful they gave me water, and Jaffa cakes and some free lemonade and wouldn’t even let me pay for them. Would 100% recommend and their drinks look great as well :)

Never had a bad visit. My favourite cocktail bar in Nottingham. First place I head to either with friends of the other half. Love the table service, the best cocktails l, happy hour every single day and always happy polite staff. A good place to watch the world go by as well from the first floor. Food is always good a d tasty for a tiny little place.

Beautiful venue and very picturesque. Great service and the beer was the right price especially for moretti. Definitely recommend for a quite night and quality drinks.

Been here a couple of times, and the cocktails are so nice. My favourite is the crembulee one sorry for my bad spelling.

We love the cocktails at tier and come regularly. This time however the service was a let down. We arrived 10 minutes prior to the end of happy hour. As we sat down the server warned us that we only had 10 minutes to get happy hour and we asked for a minute to look at the menu quickly. The server didn’t return until 8:15 (15 minutes after happy hour) so not only did we wait a long time we also missed out on happy hour. As a result we only had 1 and decided to go elsewhere after.

Excellent drinks and draught lager/cider. Cocktails (when on offer) are superb. Seating can be difficult and rather tight during busy times. Nice decor. Table service is often slow.

I searched for cocktails bars with outside seating, and found Tier. It was a bonus to find that they serve vegan toasties. Our cocktails were yum, the staff were friendly and the cocktails were on special offer during our visit.

Little quit but you would expect that on a Tuesday night. Very welcoming. Asked for the most popular sold cocktail what was a pornstar martini. Very nice alot better than I've tasted in the past in different venues. The barmaid megan was very professional and very helpful. She made a fantastic cocktail.

Out with the wife for drinks. This is a great place to visit. Really good surroundings very clean. Fantastic drinks and we sat across from the bar so we was entertained by the guys making the great cocktails. friendly staff who was great clearing our table and bringing our drinks for a couple of hours. Called in for an early cocktail with a group of friends and what a great place. Relaxed atmosphere and nice vibe. Barman made me a unique cocktail with what I liked rather than off the menu, amazing service. So good we went back later in the night and will definitely be a regular! Loved it 🍹🍹🍹

This cocktail bar is located on a quiet pedestrianised street. There is plenty of interior space we chose to sit outside on a warm evening. We both enjoyed two glasses of very reasonably priced prosecco. The service was very good.

Today, I passed by this bar with my friend. I thought it was very beautiful, so I wanted to go in and have a drink. Unfortunately, my friend didn't bring ID. Unexpectedly, the waiter asked us to sit down and told us that no one with ID could drink non-alcoholic drinks. So far, we still feel very happy because my friend is allergic to alcohol, which is just what we want. But when we finished paying, the staff started yelling at us and being very rude. The stain on the table was unwilling to help clean it. At my request, he wiped it perfunctorily and threw the stain on my friend. When we left, the rude waiter even gave us a middle finger when we weren't paying attention. I don't understand why. Maybe it's his discrimination against Asians，I think it's racist. Avoid this bar to avoid such treatment.

My friend and I had the worst night of our lives at this bar. Originally we were planning to have a drink and chat at this bar. My friend forgot her ID but at first, the bar staff said we could have a drink at the bar but my friend could only have a Mocktail. we agreed to go in and then the bar staff's attitude became particularly negative after we had paid. Not only did they scold us again for not being able to share our drinks, but they were also reluctant to clear our table and even put residue from the previous customer on my friend's cloth The worst part was even giving us the middle finger as we were leaving. I just want to say that it's 2021 and I'm baffled by such negative staff and racist people and I hope other customers don't come to this restaurant to avoid the negative attitude and hateful looks from the staff.

Very loud so couldn’t hold any sort of conversation, poor DJing - could do with a few lessons in blending of songs. Felt like there was a fight between songs every 60 seconds. Also mojito was grim.

A place that sells cocktails and toasties seemed a bit niche when we first heard about it so went there more out of intrigue than anything else, but so glad we did. Really nice vibe, attentive service and great food. Not the largest menu in the world so probably wouldn't be a super regular place to visit but would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Always a nice friendly relaxed atmosphere, the bar staff are chill and the cocktails are very good. Me and my work colleagues always hit this place up mid night for cocktails with the reassurance that it's safe and decent quality. Only missing a star because if its not happy hour its very expensive.

The bartender/server Nick was absolutely brilliant. Really accommodating and sat a great atmosphere, would recommend as the service makes the place ten times better!

Very classy but not too snobby.

This was really bigged up to me, but honestly it's nothing special. The interior is a bit boring and there's not many seats. Staff seemed uninterested and it's next to a rowdy 'local' style pub; in my opinion, you are better off choosing another cocktail bar. That said, if money is no issue for you there is nothing astoundingly bad about this place, just average all round.
