Good fun, very popular. Went for drink and played the arcade games, lots of fun 👍

Great cocktail range, nostalgic 70/80s music and amazing arcade games for all ages!

Place is great but the food is disappointing, don't bother with the desserts, not as described & nothing like the pic on the menu .

Cool place. No real ale or cyder, stocks the usual array of london type larger and keg beer at higher than average price for notts. The games are fun and it's easy to get tokens to play them which work out at £1.25 each but after half an hour or so you will have done all the ones you want to play so a good stopping place as part of a larger night.

Good food, lots of options for drinks. The arcade is the best part, good place to go with friends and family.

Not for me loud and a fight broke out. Food was awful

Good for some fun. 10quid for tokens got us a few fun games and I would recommend going for the ice hockey which is good fun. Beer selection isn't great, but it's a place to play some games and have fun for a few hours.

This is a great idea for a bar, just wish there was other old school games to play.

This is a great atmosphere to play party games and be taken back to your childhood would rate to go play games and drink beer for sure! Our food was cold and quite stale it came out super quick we had hotdogs and wings. The hotdog buns were hard and crusty at the ends showing it was left out out and sausages cold. It’s super busy so I’m guessing they have these out and ready for chips and sauces. No server was available so we couldn’t mention this to them. The wings were fine just regular frozen wigs cooked with a sauce dribbled over the top. The drinks were hot and miss but you’re paying for the novelty of them. We order 6 cocktails in total and 2 in it if the 6 would order again. The games were so much fun so if I was going again I would drink beer and just play games. Then go for a nice cocktail and some food elsewhere after. Can’t really be any fairer than that. I would love this to of been rectified but no one was around at all as it’s all mobile and bar ordering.

Works Xmas do here. Drank a lot. Thirsty. Ate a lot. Tasty. Got told I was very attractive. Blushes. Rode hungry hippos. Lost. That's all I remember but would defo's go back.

Cracking place. Not ate here before but they do some lovely drinks including mocktails. The arcade is great fun too. We always try and pop in here when we go to Nottingham.

This is a very busy place with something for everyone.

Came as part of a group, food was tasty and the menu had lots of choice. Nothing spectacular but filled me up, mozzarella sticks were a highlight. Arcade machines were great, mixture of token machines and 2p machines. Would recommend for the interesting cocktails also!

First time going what a good experience

Ross and Natalie were superb bartenders and really friendly, will deffo come back!!!

Ordered spicy burger, which was in keeping with ones I had overseas, unlike many UK places. Fries and other sides extra. Ribs were also excellent

Fantastic atmosphere, great music, drinks a bit pricey

We ordered on the app, and our drinks (2 cans and a pint) took over 25 minutes to arrive (after chasing). Then another 25 mins for hot sandwiches and chips. And the waiter had a face like thunder. Food was fine and the atmosphere was nice.

Games don’t work, drinks are weak. When you complain about the games they never get fixed

Decent venue, good place for pre drinks. It was quite quiet when we visited, but I'm sure the atmosphere is better during busier hours.

A great place for food and drink, plus the bonus of playing some retro games. Anything from Outrun 2, Air Hockey, 2p machines and even a Zoltar Fortune Teller. Fun for all the family.

Bar with cocktails and an old arcade like at the seaside. Air hockey, penny drop, horse races etc. Good atmosphere.

Waited for ages to get served at the bar for a drink as there was 4 people all just talking behind the bar..... Rest was great

Loved this place 10 out of 10. Fun for kids to go to or even to have fun as adults. Everyone I was with enjoyed their selves. The cocktail jug life is my fav cocktail there. I ate cheeseburger and fries.. it was lovely

3* because its so overpriced now. I understand the whole idea and what it's about, but drinks, games far too much over priced now.

Didn't have the food but looked nice, shame about the games side as most of the machines were really run down and don't work. Also 8 tokens for £10? Why not just make it £1 per token 😅 Cocktails where nice but at £11 a pop you wouldn't have many. Good for a one off but wouldn't go again sadly

It's good... Once... The novelty of the arcade machines is great the first time. But a lot of the time the machines don't work correctly and it's very expensive. The drinks are very expensive and the wait times can be very long. But it's definitely worth going at least once just to experience it. It's okay. But looks better than it actually is

Great place for drinks and arcade games, loads of games to choose from, no end of fun

The cocktails are really nice and tasty with a wide variety to choose from. There are some sweet options that are original and feel like desserts in a glass! The food is also pretty good. Their small plates like the Brie wedges, Halloumi fries and sweet potato fries are very good, not too oily and pretty tasty! I personally was not entirely satisfied with the sandwich as I found the baguette bread quite dry. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is really nice both for a meal during the day or drinks in the evening. Good retro music and a lot of fun arcade games! It’s worth checking out!

Had a great afternoon there, atmosphere is great and superb decor. Food was good, drinks good if a little on the pricey side for the beers we had. Some of the machines were broken too, like the Outrun machine with only one screen but the steering was broken, a roulette machine doing its own thing and a hockey machine out of action but taking money. Must get a hammer but given the focus of it could just use a bit of TLC. Tokens could use a bit of balancing too, some games gave a lot of a value, some barely seconds - make them cheaper but make some double token, like the air hockey/hockey etc. A couple more classic arcade machines (SF2 / Final Fight etc) would be great to just add a bit variety too. Grateful this place exists, just with another 10% it could be beyond dynamite.

OK but felt a bit like a seaside pub

Like a little bit of beach arcade in the centre of the city, great tasting and imaginative cocktails. Fun to be had through the day and night.

Have visited a few times with different groups of people, and always had a good time. We’ve never tried the food but the cocktails are nice, and a good deal when the 2for1 offer is running. The games tokens are reasonably priced, although the quality of some games are better than others. It is a bit difficult when there’s only a few of you playing games, and you don’t have a table, meaning there’s nowhere to keep your bags and coats. Unless you put them on the floor. I think that aspect of the bar could be improved!

We visited on a Saturday night, it's best to pre book the games as it can be very busy. Really enjoyed it, much more fun than a regular bar.

Ok, for a 1 off visit, some machines are not working correctly. The floor was covered in water/drinks, and we almost slipped over several times. Drink fairly expensive compared to other bars in the area. Don't think I would rush back here anytime soon.

Didn't have food but the tokens were £1.25 each, some games were definitely better value than others e.g. the air hockey

A good place to socialis for most age groups.

Food was good, staff seemed a bit dull, atmosphere was okay, arcade machines are old and a lot of them are not working properly ie tokens get stuck, machines don't turn on or function properly, example hockey puck got stuck and basketball machine wouldn't display score.

Had a great time and won several stuffed ducks. I now have too many ducks.

We had a fabulous time with some lovely cocktails yesterday unfortunately I put my sunglasses down and someone has stolen them whilst their I asked staff if they had been handed in and got told "I dont think so sorry" (they didn't check) which was disappointing and why my review is low 😔 I would return again as we had a gun time but was disappointed by this.

Love this place, great for the young and not so young! We enjoyed a pint and food while listening to some great music. And of course played some fun arcade games.

Cool bar with themed drinks and games. I went when it was happy hour 2 for 1... good times to be had here. Staff were wonderful.

One of my go to places when out cocktail drinking in Nottingham! Located right outside the Lace Market tram stop. There’s a wide range of cocktails and other drinks as well as mocktails for those who don’t drink. The cocktails often come with extras (packet of sweets, small inflatable, post card and pencil etc etc) which is a nice touch. We often have food in here too which is always hot and tasty, plus comes straight to your table after you’ve ordered on the app. It can be a pricey day out if having cocktails, food and playing the arcade games but there’s often 2-4-1 cocktails offers on which is a bonus. Staff are always friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is great.

Extremely busy in Saturday afternoon after football match. Couldn't get to the bat.

Not a lot going on here. Machines are tired, not much variety and the donkey derby wasn't activated. Cocktails were ok but overpriced, the staff were great though.

Cocktails are good & the games are fun but there could be more of them. The food is awful though. So overpriced for what it is & actually tastless. Poor service too like only bringing out half our meals despite us being the only people in there ordering food.

Fun spot, would be great fun with a group. I was there early and not drinking but liked the concept of all the games. Air hockey tables need a bit more air going through them. Probably 4 stars if I was with a group and out for the night. Need a better selection of no alcohol beers, rather than a token 1 that isn't great.

I went to Penny Lane for the first time with family, and we had a great time. We just went for cocktails, but the service was great and the cocktails were great. We went on a Sunday night (where it was Happy Hour), so 2 for 1 on all cocktails. Lots of seating, friendly staff, and also there are arcade games towards the back of the seating area. I would certainly visit again, and next time try the food as well!

Good beer but expensive. Fun games, played the 2p machines for ages and left with a pocketful of sweets.

Awesome place to beat your friends at table games

It's ok if you're a fan of very loud music and noises! Visited on a Saturday tea time and it was very busy. We still got a seat and had a lovely hotdog. Just not for me I'm afraid.

Omg we love this place, and it's all thanks to the manager at Las Iguanas (which is a great place for dinner, btw) who told us to go here! We were able to enjoy this place whilst playing games and having a drink. You have to buy tokens but beware they are non refundable. Mia, who is part of the bar staff, made the night for my wife and I. Her energy and vibe made our time there even better!

Wow what a fun place, great atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon really mixed crowd from families to hen parties. Great drinks, great sing along cheesy soundtrack and fantastic old skool arcade games. Worth the visit to Nottingham alone.

Waited 15mins to be served. A suggestion would be to have a separate cocktail bar, so those who don't want a cocktail don't have to wait forever. The two bar staff serving those of us at the bar worked like troopers, there needed to be more of them!

Changing my review from 5 stars to 1, based on most recent experience.

A good idea, but disappointing. Overpriced, poorly cooked food from a limited menu which contributed to a generally underwhelming experience. Loxley serves better food at half the price.
