What an amazing place to visit! Brilliant choice of drinks, great arcade games and a lovely laid back atmosphere. Ross and the team were really accommodating and friendly. Took the time to recommed the best cocktails! We always make the effort to visit when in Nottingham for the ice hockey. We will be back in April!

Food was okay; i didn’t enjoy my meal, but others had the burger and that looked okay. around 4pm venue turns from family friendly to day drinking groups.arcade kept is busy for an hour, but sucks up the pound tokens

A great time here as always! So much to do and great drinks and food! Atmosphere is always perfect and the staff are friendly with great service. Definitely recommend.

The venue has a great theme and vibe. Very 70's/Stranger Things. Order the 3 pig hot dog. Wasn't bad but wasn't anything to write home about. Big German Bratwuest style sausage with dry pulled pork and very dry bacon chunks with a squirt of BBQ sauce.. Pint of Camden Pale was £6.30 which is expensive.. You order at the table via QR code and whilst the service was very fast (especially for a Friday night), there was no check in so felt a bit soulless. Wasn't a bad experience by any stretch but also not a place I'm in a rush to go back to.

Lovely staff helped retrieve my ring from the basketball game as well as fixing one of the machines quickly for us to play. Great drinks and great platters of Snackish foods.

Came in here to celebrate a leaving due at work, the blonde girl was absolutely horrible and glared us down and was awfully rude to us every time any of our party went to the bar. Shame because we were the only customers

Loved the amusement area, tokens 2 4 1 so great value, cocktails really nice. Food not the best as brioche bun was really hard. Good value for money tho especially happy hour. Staff not the happiest and lots of dirty tables.

Not one to really leave bad reviews. Came in a few weeks ago, was really looking forward to it but what was absolutely disgusted. Ordered a pint and was shocked at the price, and said "How much?!" In a joking way. I was told by the young lass behind the bar "If ya don't like it you can always go to spoons"... anyway, took the drink, it was absolutely awful so took it back, the girl.smelt it and openly said "yeah the lines need doing" I work behind a bar myself and wouldn't dream of treating customers like this. I was given a bottle as a replacement for the pint (obviously the bottles were less money) I couldn't be bothered to argue anymore. Took the bottle, drank it and left. Never, ever again. So disappointed 😞

Lovely food, quick service. Staff are very friendly. Reasonable prices. Range of fun arcade games. All in all a great place to come for a meal and some fun at the arcade with family.

Arcade needs updating old alot not working

Floor and carpets very sticky .. food ok but rushed. Two fights inside when I was there. No security response. So we left.

Wow what a waste of time if you want to enjoy time out with people don't come here we have visited twice now and even midday with 8 staff on the bar we still had a 45 min wait for service. The drinks are massively over priced compared to all other cocktail bars in Nottingham the arcade machines are all 1 pound ago which is ok if you have had a few pints but a family day out have food a drink and play games you will be disappointed go for nice food in a restaurant of choice then if you want arcades visit the corner house arcade its 300% better or try montys bar in trinity square 1 out of 5 stars

Didn't have any food and left after the worst espresso martinis I've had in a bar. The place looks a lot of fun and people were having a great time all around so don't be put off, unless you fancy an espresso martini.

Went for a Christmas work do recently, all the staff were incredibly patient and polite whilst dodging and weaving to provide everyone food and the team behind the bar were very friendly and enthusiastic. I cannot rate the team enough at all! Fantastic people they have there! I've given a 4 instead of a 5 because their pricing is similar to similar central London places. I hope those high prices are passed onto staff wages because I'd give them 5 for that, but it still would be out of my pay bracket to go there on a weekend.

This review is solely for the cocktails as we didn't order any food. I found this place whilst searching for places doing happy hour. These guys do 2-for-1 cocktails before 9pm, Sun to Thur. The cocktails were great, I'd come back again as I'd like try everything else on the cocktail menu. The place is a great vibe, lots of people having fun in the arcade space situated at the back.

70% of the bloody games didn’t work

Actually don’t waste your money. You buy loads of tokens just to waste them on machines that don’t work. Drinks are hugely overpriced for something you only get four sips out of. Everyone in there is willing to start a fight, especially white men in suits.

Nipped in for my mates stag do it was epic and all the staff are bang on. We will all be back again soon so I can defend my camel racing title cheers 😎.

Popped in for some lunch with 2 kids. We ordered via the app with no issues, drinks were brought over quickly. Food was no longer than a 10min wait from ordering. They do a special children's offer with a main meal, drink, desert & 3 game tokens for £4.95. Great choice of food, quick & easy meals which were very tasty. Great selection of arcade type games with token prices being quite reasonable.

Lovely retro arcade and hangout in the heart of Nottingham with good food and drink selection. Popular for stag & hen parties at the weekend. Great place but pretty noisy so not really somewhere to go if you’re just after somewhere to eat and a chat.

Great place to visit with friends and family! Lots of different fun games to play and it is suitable for all ages! The drinks are fun and unique and we totally recommend to go during happy hour!

This lady has taken on a tattoo that someone else started on me and as unfortunately closed down,but penny lane as taken it in her stride and done a amazing job at finishing it 👏. The details in the tattoo that she has done is absolutely stunning 😍, i would definitely recommend for a fine detail tattooist and will definitely be back 👌

Had to change food after we had ordered because they had run out, plus everything was VERY salty. Generally not great food at all. A nice place, and fun to have drinks and play at the arcade, but not a culinary treat.

Mi marido y yo visitamos Penny Lane por primera vez recientemente, y tuvimos una gran experiencia! El bar era acogedor y cómodo, y las bebidas eran fantásticas con sus temas y extras añadidos. La señora detrás de la barra era súper amable y amable, y fue muy divertido tomar unas copas y luego ir a buscar algunas fichas para jugar los juegos de arcade hacia la parte trasera del lugar. Este es un excelente lugar para amigos o citas, y lo recomendaría encarecidamente!

Visited on quiet Thursday night hoping to play pinball but they don't have that anymore. Bought a couple of pints, service was very poor. Guess you would get a very different experience on a busy night but if you can't serve a pint when the bar is quiet then there is no incentive to go back

Fuimos en las vacaciones de verano con 2 niños de 12 años y 3 adultos. Llegué allí cuando abrió. La bienvenida era fría, las mesas eran pegajosas, tienes que ordenarte en el sitio web, que no es genial. La comida no es barata, pero es realmente mediocre. Pedí platos pequeños y las alas de coliflor eran lo más suave. El servicio continuó siendo, en el mejor de los casos, desinteresado, eliminando platos y haciéndonos pasar platos para llegar a pesar de que todavía estábamos en el medio de comer. Se olvidaron de los postres infantiles, así que tuvimos que pedirlos. Los juegos están bien, pero £ 1. 25 una ficha y la máquina expendedora de fichas se rompió. Cuando fui a pedir las fichas que había pagado en la máquina pero que no me habían dado, me hablaron como una molestia. No hay disculpas o preocupación de que la máquina que necesita para acceder a los juegos se rompió. Simplemente mediocre, el personal que no podía importarle menos y gastó £ 20 por el privilegio. It's good, I enjoyed my time here but it's not somewhere I would go again. Some machines weren't working well and everything felt pretty dirty

Brilliant service. We came in for a speaific cocktail that we had last year but didn’t realise that the menu had changed. The lady behind the bar said she’d do her best to recreate it for us and she did a fantastic job. 10/10. Thank you!

Hotdogs were grey in colour, not sure if they had been frozen for a while and was quite herby and the taste a bit overpowering for some of us. The burgers were pretty good and curly fries were lovely. Cocktails were just ok as well, not sure with it being so quiet when we went that it impacted quality or not

Absolutely awful service. The bouncer was so so rude to us as we came in. We were wearing pub golf hats and he told us we had to remove them which we did and then he came over and said we had to finish our drinks and leave as they ‘don’t accept pub golf’ even though they let us come in knowing we were pub golf. The bartender said they accept pub golf all the time and that we weren’t rowdy at all. The bouncer them came over and was rude to us again telling us to leave. We spoke to a manger and they weren’t listening to us at all. My friend was crying after being shouted at us and they were completely unsympathetic and didn’t listen to our complaints at all. We’d speak and they spoke over us and spouted out generic phases. The staff were overall unsupportive and unresponsive and overall useless. Wouldn’t come here again.

The bouncer was so rude, he was a bald angry man. He shouted at us as we came in for wearing hats before even asking us to remove them. Just a generally very aggressive demeanour. He then shouted at us while we were inside and then let multiple people with hats on through the door, all men, and didn’t say a single thing to them. It was overall a very hostile atmosphere mostly caused by the bouncer but reinforced by the rest of the staff. Whatever bouncer we had was clearly very power hungry and just looking for a problem. Would stop me from coming again definitely.

Love the concept of this place. Staff are all lovely, only issue is the queuing for drinks was a while each time. Apart from that cannot fault the place

Food was delicious. We did have to remind the server that our child had a pudding ordered. Great old tunes over the sound system which was at a good pitch, so we could still talk without having to shout at each other. A variety of games in the arcade area, tho not always clear how many tokens needed and where to put them. Only got 8 tokens for £10 so when what was supposed to be a 2 player game ends up as 1, that felt like a wasted token. The 2p push slots were so heavily piled up I think we won a total of 8p and a young lad stole mine out of the machine and refused to give them back!! Cheeky sod!! But, all that said, ut was a lovely time for a catch up with my friend and her daughter, with nice food in a sound environment. I personally wouldn't go again, but it you haven't been it's worth the visit. If you have the extra pennies to spare. Thanks for a lovely 2hrs slot.

Very expensive, I drink bitter which they don't sell so didn't have a drink. Machines very expensive £10 for 8 tokens. have 2 young kids so very expensive. Food was expensive, so did not eat there, got food on way home. Went there for a birthday party so very disappointing, except kids loved it.

Place is great but the food is disappointing, don't bother with the desserts, not as described & nothing like the pic on the menu .

Great venue and attentive staff.

Cool place. No real ale or cyder, stocks the usual array of london type larger and keg beer at higher than average price for notts. The games are fun and it's easy to get tokens to play them which work out at £1.25 each but after half an hour or so you will have done all the ones you want to play so a good stopping place as part of a larger night.

Good food, lots of options for drinks. The arcade is the best part, good place to go with friends and family.

Good for some fun. 10quid for tokens got us a few fun games and I would recommend going for the ice hockey which is good fun. Beer selection isn't great, but it's a place to play some games and have fun for a few hours.

This is a great idea for a bar, just wish there was other old school games to play.

Pre-made cocktails in a bottle?!?! £11.45 for a cocktail that is already pre made in a bottle is scandalous. Staff are whipping the cocktail makers round like it’s hard to mix pre made sprits with Ice. Imagine £11.45 for a cocktail that’s being poured from a bottle pre-made in a factory. Get yourself to Wetherspoons for 1/2 the price. How can you justify?

Our food was cold and quite stale it came out super quick we had hotdogs and wings. The hotdog buns were hard and crusty at the ends showing it was left out out and sausages cold. It’s super busy so I’m guessing they have these out and ready for chips and sauces. No server was available so we couldn’t mention this to them. The wings were fine just regular frozen wigs cooked with a sauce dribbled over the top. The drinks were hot and miss but you’re paying for the novelty of them. We order 6 cocktails in total and 2 in it if the 6 would order again. The games were so much fun so if I was going again I would drink beer and just play games. Then go for a nice cocktail and some food elsewhere after.

Works Xmas do here. Drank a lot. Thirsty. Ate a lot. Tasty. Got told I was very attractive. Blushes. Rode hungry hippos. Lost. That's all I remember but would defo's go back.

Cracking place. Not ate here before but they do some lovely drinks including mocktails. The arcade is great fun too. We always try and pop in here when we go to Nottingham.

This is a very busy place with something for everyone.

Came as part of a group, food was tasty and the menu had lots of choice. Nothing spectacular but filled me up, mozzarella sticks were a highlight. Arcade machines were great, mixture of token machines and 2p machines. Would recommend for the interesting cocktails also!

Ordered spicy burger, which was in keeping with ones I had overseas, unlike many UK places. Fries and other sides extra. Ribs were also excellent

Fantastic atmosphere, great music, drinks a bit pricey

We ordered on the app, and our drinks (2 cans and a pint) took over 25 minutes to arrive (after chasing). Then another 25 mins for hot sandwiches and chips. And the waiter had a face like thunder. Food was fine and the atmosphere was nice.

Games don’t work, drinks are weak. When you complain about the games they never get fixed

Well I was surprised at how bad the staff are and how awful their practices are. Went here with friends ordered a glass of Zinfandel,the bar staff rinsed the glass with water and was about to pour the wine in until I noticed a few mil of water in the glass. I quickly grabbed it and turned it upside down for the water to leave the glass otherwise it would've been watered down and then she did the exact the same to two pints of lager that I couldn't do anything about. As she poured into the glass it was flat as a pancake until she got 3/4 the way and started swilling around to get a head on it. 4 drinks was over 20 quid but when you get rubbish service and cowboy antics with the glasses it really annoys me. Will never go back. Sorry to be blunt but it really was garbage.

Decent venue, good place for pre drinks. It was quite quiet when we visited, but I'm sure the atmosphere is better during busier hours.
