Great place to eat. Cheap food. Annoying cleaner who keeps sticking her beak into people's conversations. Should be sacked

Please use good ketchup and brown sauce it's horrible...quick update on my last review posted below this... Good news is that the group of foul mouthed men have seemed to of disappeared over recent months so great.. They just need some nice red and brown sauce rather than what ever they use and pass it as sauce (it certainly is not Good old Heinz) and the lady removing plates from tables needs to stop swearing whilst cleaning and this place would be a gem of a cafe, good value good service great food but poor sauces... Worth a visit... Previous post:-Great little cafe but it's a shame that a daily table of old fellas sit for over an hour with just a cuppa and one constantly swears in every sentence at high volume.. Don't wanna be hearing a bombardment of the F word whilst eating breakfast.. What a potty mouth.. Won't be bringing family here that is for sure!!!!

21/02/2024 Good food, had build your own breakfast, cooked perfectly. Good tea at a very reasonable price. Friendly staff and customers.

Had an omelette which my usual order,normally its golden,light and fluffy.Todays offering was like a dark brown crusted lump.!!! Bitterly dissatisfied, I have to have protein every day so eggs are my go to.Fried,boiled,scrambled,But omelette are my favourite but today the mill disappointed.

Stop here on my way into Nottingham every time when I visit from Manchester. Spot on 😁

Fantastic old cafe with treditional food

Had a medium breakfast and a mug of tea here very early this morning after calling into the Citroen garage. Service was fast, food excellent and the price was really good value. The place is spotless too. I almost went into McDonalds, which is virtually next door, but decided to give this cafe a try. I’m really pleased that I did! I’ll be back 😎

Great prices, friendly staff and good authentic cafe food. We had a full English, sausage sandwich and two teas for £12. Can see why this place is a bit of a local legend.

Think anyone that leaves BobbersMill Cafe a poor review doesn't understand the basics. After you've eaten, place the cups on the plates as asked. It's no Michelin star place, just good nosh with a good brew. Fill your belly and go! 👍

Used to live just round the corner and used to come here regularly for breakfast at the weekend. That was over 30 years ago and by chance I happened to stay overnight in Nottingham and treated myself to breakfast here on the way home to Manchester. I had the 'special' which is two sausage, two bacon, one egg, fried bread, mushrooms, beans (or tomato) two toast and a mug of tea (or coffee). It was all pretty decent - definitely no complaints given how cheap it is though I could feel my arteries hardening after I'd finished - I've not had fried bread since I was a kid The fact that's it's been going since 1936 is great

Went there this morning but unfortunately it was closed which is disappointing as I love this place.

Great sos and tom doorstep. Spotlessly clean as well. Unfortunately the lady that clears the tables has an unbelievably foul mouth and the way she speaks to customers isn't right.

A proper working persons cafe. Just as it was years, and I mean Years ago. Doorstep bread filled with tastey sausage and a step ladder to climb up the side of it to start the chomping.

The best place for miles to get something to eat. The doorstep breakfast sandwiches are a must. We regularly get a takeaway breakfast sandwich. All the staff are very friendly and helpful, wouldn't go anywhere else. 👍👍👍👍👍 five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ all the time.

Savoury sausage is a delight, just like my mother used to make. Bit more expensive than some breakfasts but worth the extra for quality ingredients and almost unlimited options to customise it to your particular taste. Well worth a visit.

Plenty of food on your plate and at reasonable prices. The Saus meat is excellent on full English breakfast

My dad took me here since I was 11 I always was looking forward to a SOS cob and tom thanks girls are brilliant great service always pop in can't beat it proper nice food keep it up and god bless when the boss passed lovely man he's cup of tea always amazing.

Been popping in here for years. This place has always had the best and tastiest home made food available. Breakfast is great and the home made cakes are delicious.. always love going in for a hot dinner followed by cake and custard. No matter when you go in you are always greeted with friendly faces and conversation. Sad to hear the owner has recently passed I remember when my daughter was a baby and he gave her a small dog soft toy which I still have and he was making her smile. Steffan was one of the nicest people ever. The prices are unbeatable such low prices for such quality food. You won't be disappointed stopping off here for food I guarantee! Hope the staff and family continue the business. Best of luck 💗

Huge portions, doorstop toast and classic cafe atmosphere!

Used for years but unfortunately this morning I had a hair on my egg and bacon was pale and not cooked great. No mushrooms and no butter on bread. Sorry.

Overall food/hot drinks reasonable prices (they had a price increase, which everybody in the hospitality has had to do) everything good 👍

Menu can be a little confusing regarding the breakfasts but now we'd understand to ask for all in depending on what size you wanted. We'll recommended for a pit stop.

I'v been going to this cafe for over 50 years. If you want great value for money this is the place to eat. It's always been a transport cafe as well as a great out of town cafe. Not posh but fantastic if you want great food. Opens early but closes mid afternoon. enjoy the sos their special,

Reminds me of old transport cafes of yesteryear , just a no nonsense place to fill ya belly up, friendly staff, everything is clear and great not like stupid posh restaurants

Visibly horrid and tasted nasty, looks like someone threw up in a box. The beans and tomatoes had 80% juice, the bacon was very fatty, and the eggs were very oily. I have heard great things about this place, but either standards have dropped significantly or a change in staff has ruined what was supposedly good about this cafe.

The cafe is amazing. The employees are awesome too especially Stef. I ordered a full English breakfast with 2 fried toast, fried egg, 2 hash browns,2 sausages, bacon, mushrooms, beans and tinned tomatoes. The quality of the food is exquisite, everything is perfect. I'm surprised that when I go into the cafe it isn't packed. The whole place is fully clean, the seats are wooden but are still very comftorble. They have everything from Fanta to oasis. The toilets although small are very well looked after. I can't think of anything negative to say about this cafe. I also love that you get what you pay for as everything is either very cheap or perfectly priced. I would recommend to everyone I know to go to this cafe no matter the age.

A proper greasy spoon, none left really in Nottingham. A proper breakfast, steaming cuppa out of a pot, had a full breakfast, a belly filler, sausage meat, black pudding, bread and butter, sausage, bacon, eggs, beans, tomatoes, proper, two of us, £15 and no need for a mask, lovely, give it a try!!

Great cafe, been going here for years, always fresh and hot, love their wide variety of hot dinners.

Visited today, really disappointed, sausages, one cremated the other not cooked, egg not cooked properly, bacon and tomatoes ok but for me the biggest let down was the doorstep bread, the main reason I go there, no way was it doorstep, in fact no thicker than the ordinary bread, won't be returning.

Unfortunately very disappointed. Sausage was cheap and nasty, eggs didn’t taste great and the bacon was fatty plus the toast was soaked in margarine. Best thing on the plate was the tinned tomato’s. Staff not very pleasant all looked miserable except the lady who was clearing the tables. Nice eating area and outside parking but that’s pointless because won’t be returning.

Brilliant place, lovely atmosphere, food is great and quick and can't quibble with the price at all. Get to park for free outside

Mill cafe have been serving excellent homemade food for very many years plesent surroundings complimented by polite and helpful staff make a visit worthwhile well known and loved by many who like myself look forward to returning again and again.

Spotlessly clean with very reasonable prices. You haven’t lived until you try a sos and Tom with brown sauce on toasted doorstep bread
