Great venue, quirky environment for a day long meeting, so much atmosphere , lovely food

This was our first time at Cosy Club and we had lovely Maja as our server. She was very attentive to our table and made great elderflower drink recommendations! The food was delicious, filling and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.

boyfriend and i are from mk visiting notts this weekend! went this morning and the place was incredibly beautiful, super fast and kind service, food was amazing n staff were so lovely!!!!

Usually love Cosy Club... been to Plymouth and Birmingham many times. But Notts was very disappointing... the venue itself is beautiful. But the service, food quality and wait times and portion sizes- such a let down after visiting other branches. My Cosy Eggs- my usual favorite meal- were overcooked, very little hollandaise sauce (which may have compensated) mushroom were cold and spinach non existent.

Went for a celebration drink with friends. I didn't eat there. The decor is old fashioned posh men's club, but I didn't find it "cosy", in fact I was chilly. Not my kind of place. The lady on the front desk was welcoming and helpful.

An excellent choice. Impressive building and atmosphere in the former Victoria Sporting Club. Roomy, welcoming (though busy) and taken to our table exactly on time.

It was okay. I think my experience was ruined when we entered and asked if they had a table for 3 available. The front of house guy was very surly and failed to meet my eye when he told me they were fully booked. I challenged this given I was able to book a table for 10 minutes time online. He still maintained they were fully booked. I told him we would book a table and come back in 10 minutes time to which he relented and said he had ONE table he could put us on but would need it back at 12 (online I was able to book a table from 11:15 - 12:45 so again, lies). He took us to the table and purposely placed us on the biggest table possible and unsurprisingly there were around 10 empty tables in the restaurant which were empty the whole time we were there. I did not feel welcomed or comfortable - clearly he couldn’t be bothered with paying customers. The individual was even more disrespectful when he sauntered off to loudly talk about us with his colleague at the bar - staff talking about customers behind their backs was something I observed multiple times during my time here. Food was mediocre and arrived cold. Smoothies aren’t fresh but are poured from a pre-bought bottle so probably contain multiple additives. That being said, the place is cool and the decoration is fun, but still, wouldn’t return and there are better places to eat in Nottingham.

Lovely building. Relaxed atmosphere in the downstairs area. Nice staff. There is a restaurant upstairs as well however I've not been there before so not sure what that is like.

We booked a table but upon arrival were waiting at the main entrance for 15 minutes with no staff in sight, we ended up having to call the restaurant to speak to a staff member from the other room and tell them we were here. When we sat down the first impression was bad as the glasses on our table were dirty and covered in smudges. We then ordered our food which in fairness tasted okay however it was very overpriced for the portion size. I'm an average sized woman but after a main and a side I was still hungry. I had a cooler to drink but it was prebottled and not freshly made, again very overpriced for a bottled drink. Finally when we asked for the check we were waiting around and had to take ourselves down to the reception to pay as the waiter had disappeared. Would definitely not dine here again, felt a lot like a pub diner trying to pretend they were fancy.

I booked a table for my wife and I at the Cosy club, I have been for drinks quite often and had food. I booked 30th of March, as always the food is wonderful and the service is excellent.

Called in for breakfast, ordered the Eggs Benedict, eggs were over cooked with solid yokes with a miniscule amount of hollandaise sauce with lack of seasoning. Over priced and no better than Wetherspoons.

All very good but the gents had the biggest cobwebs I’ve ever seen. Cosy Club must invest in a feather duster.

Steak wasn't a fillet steak, it was a flat iron steak they gave me ! But when I complained they insisted it was fillet. I'v have enough steaks in my life to know the difference.

Had the best meal on Mother's day with friends and a cozy cocktail making bag at the end. Waitress was very efficient and friendly. Managed to get last minute booking online. Lovely atmosphere

Nice Quiet Place To Drink & Chill Out

Proper Victorian pub/restaurant with plenty of room and old-fashioned charm. Fish finger sandwiches are recommended!

I attended an event @ cosy club Nottingham. On leaving it was difficult to get a taxi to come directly outside the club. Summer, an employee went above and beyond to help me source a taxi and escorted me to the taxi. I cannot thank Summer enough she is a real example of excellent customer service, true compassion, and a real asset to cosy club. You don't forgot customer service like this!

Friends booked this for us to have cocktails & a meal last Thursday night . Cocktails were great, we went upstairs for our meal, starters were good & so was the main. We couldn’t have a desert as they had no custard or pouring cream.. That meant no liqueur coffee could be had. They struggled with nightcaps as they had no Drambue or Quantro so we all went without. We were not very impressed.

Went in on Friday night very enjoyable love the old original architecture unspoilt. Cosy describes it well. Nice place to take a date or the Mrs.

The drinks available at the bar could be better. They don't serve Guinness because according to a member of staff, the proprietor doesn't like it! Kind of an arrogant selfish attitude for someone who is meant to be looking after their customers. Maybe a small reason for some but I'll be giving the place a miss in future.

+ Food was delicious. The staff were friendly and the manager was efficient. - We were a big group so I anticipated a certain delay, however it took so long for the dessert to come that we had to leave before it arrived (we left 3 hours after ordering). I got given 3 dirty glasses before I decided to leave it. A friend ordered a cocktail for £10something during the time of the two for £11something deal, I was surprised the staff didn't tell her.

Cosy Club is a cosy place indeed, with a good menu and tasty food. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ will come again when I visit Nottingham. We ordered fried halloumi and garlic shrimp and a Confed duck leg. Left satisfied and thankful.

We attend the Burns Night meal, alas I was not feel well so left early nor ate much. My friends loved the event, food was nice the entertainment spot on. Definitely planning to go next year if they do it again.

It is wonderful with an amazing interior. It will be my go to place every time I go to Nottingham from now on. I would highly recommend The Cosy Club.

quite unimpressed with food- curry felt like a mix of 2 dishes put together. some sort of sauce and some overly roasted mushy veg that clearly wasn't fresh on top and all heated up in a microwave, as was hot in parts and cold in others. service at bar very friendly and helpful . table service leaves a lot to wish for- cutlery delivered to some people at out table but not others?! when food arrived and asked for more cutlery, we were told to ask at the bar, wanted to ask for condiments but didn't get a chance because waited had already walked off.. didn't feel so cosy..

Food was good, but after waiting for 15 minutes for our last drinks to arrive, we were asked to move on as the table was needed.... we were in the quietest room with 3 other couples who were able to take their time with drinks. Yes, it was busy, only 2 staff serving at the bar says it all. Won't visit this one again.

Lovely place, went with some friends for a birthday. Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for us . Food was ok, not sure its worth the price.

Decore very nice. Service was very good and the young lady serving us was very pleasant and attentive but that's where the good news ends. Full English breakfast was very poor. Mushroom was overcooked to the point of total disintegration and all the rest of it was cold. Presentation on the plate was non-existent. With 2 cups of tea this cost us £35 for the pair of us. Wished we’d gone to Bill’s or even McDonalds frankly! We won’t be back.

Great bartender Lewis Whitehead. He gave the best service the whole night. Couldn’t recommend more. Went above and beyond for us all

We always gravitate towards the Cosy Club Notts restaurant , for brunch, or late lunch, It’s a wonderful grand entrance , warmly greeted by friendly staff, comfy sofas relaxing seating and dining areas , Fabulous decor and atmosphere , especially in the festive season , a good menu selection , menus catering for, gluten free ,(celiac) vegetarian & vegan, good value and flavoursome

I really want to like this place but each time I've been, the food has been very under whelming and the bar service has been terrible

What a building!! Shame it was cold downstairs BUT a very attentive member of staff brought us a fan heater! Very thoughtful. The meal was DIVINE! A very special treat for me celebrating my Big Birthday. I SHALL be back… next time with my foodie members of the family!! Thank you , everyone ..

Very good food, great place, good staff

Beautiful, traditional building and decor throughout. Staff were really friendly and attentive and there was a relaxed atmosphere. I had brunch, food was really good and value for money. Would recommend.

Really enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for family dining. Or groups who want to be able to have a conversation with each other.

There was ten of us and all the food came out at the same time even the GF food

My husband absolutely loved the mac n cheese burger as one of the best burgers he's ever had! However I found the mushroom risotto could have been much better. I would hope for a variety of wild mushrooms, not just one bog standard one. There was also a mushroom puree running through it that I felt totally detracted from the fact it was a risotto, as they blended together into mush. I also thought the blackberry coulis was be drizzled over the top, but it presumably was just incorporated into the puree. Also I was super disappointed to hear the staff don't get the tips if you pay by card so make sure you take cash if you'd like to leave a tip as I couldn't fault the team at all!

Beautiful interior and ove the chandaliers. Brilliant service from entry to leaving. Treated my Grandaughter and hubbie to a voucher so they can check it out for themselves after I've raved about it to them!

Absolutely lovely meal, from beginning to end, in a stunning setting. This restaurant was so switched on about allergies that I felt completely relaxed, all my food and drink came out stickered as "gluten free" and the female server (red hair, wish I had taken note of her name) was brilliant and helpful from beginning to end. The building itself is a fascinating and plushly decorated architectural treasure in the centre of Nottingham (a former Gentleman's Club and casino with quite a history) and the restaurant was spacious, comfortable and well-lit. A great setting for a special occasion or a few drinks and we will certainly go back there soon!

We enjoyed visiting this place, but I advise to book if you want a seat upstairs. Nice food and nice staff

Of the 3 cosy club venues i have visited this is definitely my favourite so far. A very impressive building with many period features, it must rank as one of the most beautiful places i’ve eaten in. The food and service match this splendour and i look forward to revisiting in the future.

What a lovely place and very grand. Think gatsby and peaky blinders... Seems to be one main bar area, but lots of other rooms around the building for private hire. I would say it's high end on the price for a drink, but you pay for the atmosphere I guess. Worth a trip..

I had an absolutely amazing time at Cozy Club. From the second we walked in to the moment we left, the service was amazing and so personal. The food was great and the surroundings were gorgeous. I was served by Jess Gale and it was the best service I’ve had all year. Thank you so much for making our anniversary so special!

We had lunch at Cosy Club with a friend who was over for Christmas from France. The food was wonderful,the staff could not be more helpful. The food was very tasty and we had a glass of champagne. The atmosphere was great. We would definitely go again after Christmas.🎄🎄🎄🎄

Excellent service and food! They were kind enough to accommodate my allergy, and my children's ketchup requests. 😁 The food was all delicious! There was no room in the dining room - I recommend calling ahead to reserve a table - so we ate in the cozy bar room. It was very comfortable for the children, but the cushion chairs weren't as comfortable for me. I would go again, mainly for the excellent service.

After my initial poor review I ventured back and today was a totally different experience, it was busy but alot more organised the staff were both attentive and helpful. We had the light bites and they were lovely especially the pork bites, fresh warm and tasted superb I also really enjoyed the cocktails too. I will most certainly be returning

Lovely place with great atmosphere. Lovely staff provided faultless service but the food, with the exception of dessert, was truly terrible. I'm sorry to have to say that but the corporate arm of the business needs holding to account for expecting folk to part with their hard earned cash for dishing up such rubbish. Not cheap either.

Wonderful hidden jewel in the centre of Nottingham. Good food in wonderfully luxurious surroundings.

At the point of booking we were told that we had the table for two hours, however the service was slow. We were offered drinks when we were shown to our table but struggled to flag a member of staff down to order another round of drinks. After the starter the main was slow to arrive, we were offered the dessert menu but no one came to take our order until a man popped up to inform us that we had to vacate the table in fifteen minutes, after pointing out that no one had taken our dessert order he offered to move us to another room to complete the dessert service, we declined, drank up and left. Two hours might be enough if you offer quick attentive service but they don’t, it’s all about shipping them in, getting them out, not a relaxing night out. On the plus side the food was ok.

I've been to another Cosy Club in a different city, but the Nottingham branch was so much better. It's in a beautiful building, set across two floors. We went for Christmas party drinks, and it was a lovely atmosphere with a great selection of all drink types. Really recommend.

We had our company Christmas meal here. Service was excellent with happy servers. Find was top notch.

Dined here a number of times after shopping in Nottingham city centre. The building and interior impressive, having been a Casino and gentleman's club back in the day. Menu is a bit limited but food is good and reasonably priced.

I just LOVE this venue. Versatile, friendly and beautifully clean. Always a warm welcome.

In spite of the name this is a rather grand setting for dinner. It had the ambience of a gentlemen's club, which is unsurprising as this was the old Reform Club premises in Nottingham. We were there for a family event and enjoyed an excellent meal together. The menu would suit any taste. Well worth a visit.

Went for a Christmas work do. Good food, attentive staff, nice place generally. Toilets were a bit grim, but on a Friday night in December I guess that's a risk!

Fab—u-lous gluten free dining here today. Expert attention discreetly given by the manager and my plates looked exactly the same as everyone else’s except for the little red flag. The decor here is beautiful too and I can highly recommend a visit, for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Thank you Cosy Club, I will be back.

Booked a Christmas meal with 13 good friends . Starter was a sharing platter ( 2 of the party were vegetarian, so they were a bit limited ) but still very delicious . Mains were various most appeared to like . I did have the salmon which was beautiful. Some comments about the Christmas pie which was an odd combination . The pudding I don’t think anyone really enjoyed . I had the lemon Posset which was way too sweet . Overall it was a nice experience . The guy who served us was fantastic ! He certainly earned his money because it was so busy and a couple of rowdy parties he had to deal with at the same time . I’ve eaten better and would also say a little over priced for what we actually got , drinks especially cocktails were well overpriced. I would probably visit agin but I’d choose a different menu.

We were told we could only have the table for one and half hours. The main course too three quarters of an hour to arrive. We were told we would have to move to a side room if we wanted a dessert. It is not long enough for a restaurant of this calibre and opulence when getting dressed up to meet with friends. Get’m in and get’m out so the restaurant can make as much money as possible. This doesn’t make anyone feel special. Also the restaurant was quite cold. The one course we had was very nice.

We had the Christmas set meal. £40 for 2 courses, massively overpriced for a decent sharing platter but mediocre main. We opted out of a dessert -£20 for a lemon posset, really? The service was not good. We waited 15 minutes to be served drinks and there was a long wait between courses. Think twice before going.

You will struggle to find a better place to eat or drink in Nottingham

Great food and drinks, good atmosphere :)

We went early afternoon on a Wednesday, it was not busy. The gentleman that served us was pleasant enough, but it took him around 12 minutes to make one cocktail. While we were waiting for my friends cocktail, neither of the other men behind the bar offered to do my order or anyone else waiting, they pottered around making massive bottles of pre mixed cocktails or cleaning. When it finally came time for him to take my order, he told me he also didn’t know how to make that one so he’d bring it over. 25 minutes for two cocktails! Then they were both about 2/3rd full in the glass. For £11.50 a cocktail, it was very poor. I understand the poor guy was new but no one helped him or showed any haste at all. I watched the other guy try to open a bottle of whiskey for 5 minutes! Terrible service, those two members of staff should be ashamed of themselves for doing bugger all to help.

Always good for food and good atmosphere but going off peak on Monday means less staff and had to try quite hard to get their attention

I have given it the 1 star based on other people’s reviews for food etc. But due to the discrimination being shown to disabled people I really would like it rate it no stars. I’ve just visited Chatsworth who were amazing with their service and made everything available to disabled, elderly etc. and of course Chatsworth is a really historical building. I thought discrimination to those with disabilities was in this day and age actually illegal.
