Tides Cafe in Arun

Lunch with friends in this charming cafe with a lovely menu. I had the moules frites which was amazing, my friends had the scampi and the vegan burger. Very generous portions and delicious food served in a trendy relaxed environment in a prime spot by the river. Staff were lovely, food was fresh and served quickly - would highly recommend 👍🏻.

I had lunch here with my family. The cafe is modern & has a good atmosphere. The menu is varied - lighter bites but also a good choice of main meals. They do a children's menu, which they were happy to adapt a little. The food was delicious & the staff friendly. I would highly recommend this cafe. Well worth a visit.

Me and my partner ordered from here for the first time, sausages were so tough and tasted burnt, the milkshakes tasted so sour we didn’t bother drinking after one sip so wasted £9, we was missing a cappuccino from the order so I called up to see if they can deliver it or refund me, the lady asked if we was local which we are and still didn’t offer to deliver, claimed to not have the cappuccino on the order but checked the receipt and it does. In all fairness she did say when we come in we can have a free cappuccino but didn’t take down my name so unsure how that works? Was gutted as this place was recommended to us but first impressions not good. In total we paid £37.60 and £12.10 of it was wasted.

When walking down by the river my wife and I decided to visit Tides for lunch, just a quick sandwich and a coffee / tea was all we wanted, a great choice was offered, very polite and smartly dressed staff took care of us and our little dog. A very tasty club sandwich for me and bacon brie and cranberry sandwich for my wife then followed, we will certainly go again, we'll done Tides.

Arrived in Littlehampton and having not had breakfast before we left thought we’d grab a bite. Venue was welcoming and clean, and the staff were friendly but at £5 for a bacon sandwich, it’s a little over priced - it’s not London. A little further down, there is the Dinky Doo Cafe which did the same but 2/3 of the price and when you’re feeding 4, that’s a big difference.

We had a day out in Littlehampton a couple of days ago to try a restaurant called the Gravy Boat witch we found out closes Monday and Tuesday, we then walked a few meters towards the seafront and came across Tides, what a pleasant surprise, greeted with the door opened for us by Vicky with a warm welcome, once given the menu and advised of the specials we ordered our drinks and food, I had steak frites and my partner had a veg burger, the food was of good quality and very tasty, even down to the dressing on the salad. Vicky was so friendly and we were so pleased to have fallen on this little gem. When in Littlehampton next we will definitely repay a visit.

Called into this café on Valentines day for a romantic breakfast with my husband. We both enjoyed the low tide breakfast food was good quality and nicely cooked and well presented. The tomatoes were particularly flavoursome. A special mention to the waitress, who I understand was called Emily. Emily is an absolute asset to Tides she was delightful and really attentive but not over the top. Emily also makes a great hot chocolate. We will happily return to this restaurant/cafe.

I have been to Tides a couple of times before with friends but went with my husband this time, who is fussy about his food, and he thoroughly enjoyed his meal so I think we can add Tides to our list of places for coffee & cake or a light meal. Staff are great and attentive, definitely recommend.

Vicki and the team at Tides are amazing, the service is friendly and make you feel very welcome. I can honestly say that I have eaten here quite a lot and the food is consistently above usual local quality - the chef Luca is a genius basically. I can recommend the breakfast or the steak frites; sometimes there is a mustard mayo steak ciabatta on the specials which is a triumph. Well worth going out of your way for.... :D

We decided to try this characterful cafe, and sat overlooking the river. We had potato and leek soup, and avocado sandwich. Both were delicious, the best avocado sandwich I've tasted with slightly spicy taste, lettuce and tomato. The staff are lovely. They serve a good range of cold and cooked food. Will definitely return and thoroughly recommend. Many thanks.

We are local and regular visitors to Tides. We have never been disappointed be it with just coffee or meals. The staff, as always were cheerful, friendly and attentive. The food is cooked fresh and always delicious. Our family had a lovely time and want to go again when they visit.

We had a family 18th birthday party upstairs, the food was wonderful, staff were excellent, went the extra mile. We will definitely have our birthdays and other occasions here again, I can’t recommend them enough.
