Lauren the manager and great hostess made me feel so welcome and the atmosphere was so homely. Can’t be more thankful to Lauren. She serves the best Guinness in Arundel

This a great locals pub which welcomes visitors . You'll end up sharing a table and making new friends and acquaintances. Pies are great and sensibly the pub does not go for a large menu. All televised sports are here so ditch the subscription and visit this wonderful place.

Both the barmaid who serviced me were great. The 2nd barmaid even reminded me when to leave for the train home, even though it was ‘surprisingly’ late. The ale taste great and happy with the service.

We were staying local and wanted to watch the final of the euro so called in by chance , we were not disappointed. The owner and staff went out of their way to welcome us into their pub and find us a space . Nothing was too much trouble and they went over and above . During our visit we enjoyed a variety of drinks and pub grub that was fresh and hot . If you are in the area go in you will not be disappointed and the locals are also friendly . Great find and we will go back in during our next break 😀

Recently, I enjoyed a delightful Ploughman's lunch at The Eagle Inn, and it was an experience worth sharing. The welcoming, cosy atmosphere set the perfect stage for a classic British meal, enhanced by the friendly and attentive service. The Ploughman's was beautifully presented, featuring a generous wedge of mature cheddar, thick ham, slices of rich salami, a portion of rich stilton cheese, a crusty baguette, pickled onions, tangy Branston pickle, a beautiful variety of chutney, and a fresh salad. Each element was of exceptional quality, with high quality ingredients. Paired with a recommended pint of local ale, the meal was a harmonious blend of rich, balanced flavours. Overall, The Eagle Inn's Ploughman's lunch is a must-try for its taste, presentation, and charming setting.

Had the pleasure of taste testing this amazing ploughman's before the new menu was finalised (turns out who you know, matters 😁) it was delicious in the first place, but Natalie asked for our honest opinions on what can be added or changed and took our suggestions on board. Can definitely recommend food at the eagle, it's easily of the highest quality and very fairly priced! You'll do well to find better for the price

Had a wonderful afternoon with the guys, The manger a lovely lady named Lauren was more than welcoming to our trio from the local building site - one of them had to nip off to Newcastle with a naked body suit entrance to get the Geordie hostile crowd on his side, Dave was persuaded to move down permanently..however Steve already lived there, so complained that his girlfriend was on a jolly at Goodwood til 3am - and his prescription erectile dysfunction tablets will have been taken in vain - and far too early

The fabulous Lauren pulled out all the stops to provide the best pie and peas (2 hourse after kitchen close) I've ever Tasted. Brilliant example of someone who loved their job going above and beyond to provide quality service. As a group of yorkshire men coming south, it was moment of pure bliss. Cheers Lauren.

What a gem of a place. We popped in for a pre dinner drink with our Cockerpoo. Lauren couldn’t have made us more welcome. She gave our dog some homemade treats & even some to take with us. They were so friendly & the prices were great. Can’t recommend enough. We will be back.

A proper local pub, friendly staff, a good choice of drinks with a brilliant atmosphere. They serve the most amazing pie I've ever eaten so it's very tasty. I now use the pub regularly.

Always a lovely atmosphere when at this pub! My friends and I frequently come here for drinks and a few cards games and we have always been welcomed with warmth. Even to the point of the lovely owner cooking us food after hours- thanks Manny!!

Such lovely staff, their card machine was down and there was a bit of a complication but they handled it real well, the food was really good and a really nice place to go

My wife and I stumbled on The Eagle by accident last week. We both had the pie, mash and mushy peas, which was excellent. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and place had a nice warm feel to it - what more could you ask for.

Was visiting arundel for a day and night stayover and fancied something light for lunch so popped into the Eagle. Greeted by a really lovely friendly barmaid and asked what they did for lunch, light bites was the answer. Had some lovely chicken goujons with chips and a beer. Really delightful food and service

Amazing venue. Live local music every weekend, everyone is just so friendly with a welcoming atmosphere! lost of variety in hot and cold drinks with an amazing cocktail menu. Looking forward to returning! Returned to try out the food menu and it did not disappoint! The pies were just full of tasty filling and the sides just complimented everything to make it a tastful masterpiece. The flavors were just phenomenal. This topped with the raging open fire was just a peak experience in this cold weather.

Bar staff are incredibly rude!! Not only that, but also highly insulting. They did not just accuse a friend of being on drugs (because he blew his nose at the bar - whilst getting over a cold!!) but, they insulted his appearance saying that he looked “funny” and his face “wasn’t normal” - What a bizarre thing to say to paying customers! Unfortunately these accusations are damaging and make people feel very self-conscious. I for one was horrified hearing this. On top of this there was also unfortunately the underlying feeling that this is because of his South African heritage and accent. there was a condescending feel and attitude towards him when he was being insulted and even previously to this. As a group of 10 people I cannot help but think it is anything other than the staff being unable to handle a crowd larger than 4 (which the bar is very clearly only equipped for). A lovely pub but unfortunately all of us never be retuning again. The accusations were not only insulting but incredibly rude and ultimately unkind. As a sober woman, to witness this was unbelievable really.

I went with friends and I was pleasantly surprised to see the inside of this magnificent place. The beer is excellent. The people were all nice and especially the owners. If you come to visit Arubdel this place is definitely worth visiting to immerse yourself in the right atmosphere. Well done.👍

A lovely little gem hidden in the centre of town, fits in fantastically with the town heritage, it has a warm and friendly atmosphere. A perfect spot to grab a coffee and while away an afternoon or make a night if it with friends. Kitchen & pub menu are coming soon (mid November 2023) which I am very excited for.

I don't usually review pubs as we visit so many, but this was great. We stayed in Arundel for four days and visited here a couple of times. Very friendly, efficient barman called Manny working both times. He remembered what we drank when we returned, was very conscientious and on the ball. He was playing some great music at the right level so you could still chat without shouting. Made our trip, would have loved to be around for one of the karaoke or live music nights. Good pint of Harvey's, not too pricey.

It’s so easy to get things wrong in hospitality. The landlord at The Eagle doesn’t! We understand he took over The Eagle 3 months ago so ignore the out of date poor reviews. What a warm welcome we received after our walk on The Monarch Way from Arundel. This is the sort of ‘local’ I wish we had in our village. It’s well worth wandering off the Main Street in Arundel to seek out The Eagle.

Really enjoyed this place at the end of our 10 mile walk. Unbelievably welcoming, the Landlord made a cup of tea a proper Pimms and lemonade with mint and all the trimmings plus a wine and 3 pints of beer! The pub has a fantastic ambience and atmosphere down to the attitude and enthusiasm of the Landlord. Loved it would thoroughly recommend.

We had a great time in the Eagle. The two barmaids Lauren and Talia are fantastic, and they made us feel very welcome. I will definitely be back. Highly recommend a visit!

My friend and I found this gem of a pub while visiting Goodwood. Friendly locals, well kept beer and very good staff. A special mention to the two barmaids we met, Lauren and Talia. Both were very welcoming and great company on both of our visits. They are a credit to the business and made us feel at home immediately. Also had the pleasure of meeting Manny, the landlord. Best of luck with the pub. We really enjoyed chatting, and I'll certainly be back next time I'm in town. Just a shame I'm 400 miles away!

We called in by chance and we’re immediately welcomed by a friendly landlady, great choice off beers, attractive place, and friendly locals who were chatting with us within minutes, we really didn’t want to leave, great pub.
