Service was brilliant even when v busy. Really friendly and had a lovely chat with the owner. The ambience was great, in a really beautiful village with good walks. I Imagine the garden is amazing in the summer. An interesting menu, I probably didn’t order the best for me - I had the focaccia which was quite expensive for what it was and the chicken katsu. I had ice cream for pudding, the raspberry sorbet was delicious. The chocolate less so. They made me a fresh mint tea with great gusto which was fun.

Very welcoming staff, who were particularly great with our kids (5&8yrs). The food options were fabulous. All good, was delicious. Good selection of wines & beers. Board games available [Also, as we'd rung ahead to confirm, we were also able to stay overnight in our camper (big carpark & quiet throughout the night)]

We ate here today and were welcomed and seated although we hadn't booked. We were even moved to a table by the fire because we were cold. As I am vegetarian and unable to eat spicy food, I ordered soup as there was nothing suitable on the menu. This was quickly remedied by the manager who came to our table to make up a meal of food which I could eat. So, one happy customer here and I cannot recommend The Titchborne Arms highly enough. Great atmosphere, service above and beyond and a tummy full of great food.

Elite pub! Equally good in the winter with its roaring log fire and cosy atmosphere, as it is in the Summer with stunning gardens overlooking its idyllic countryside setting. Top tier food and service. Incredible renovation that retains all the old features whilst also bringing the place up to date. You honestly couldn’t wish for more from a modern country pub.

Fabulous, the place was slammed and yet the food remained fabulous. Loved the starters, humus and flatbread, focaccia, olives. Most of us had the turkey dinner which was fabulous, a lot of food. I had the plant burger, wish I'd had the beetroot burger, the chef is too good for these burgers, all the accompaniments were gorgeous. I was too full for a pudding but the rest had a fab sticky toffee pudding, the Christmas Bakewell, also fab, and a brownie. It remains one of our family favourites for a real treat. Thanks you and last night we had the added bonus of the ukulele band playing who were awesome!

Gorgeous pub, 2nd time we've been. Just a great vibe and beautiful views etc. Very busy Sunday, food took over an hour, leeks were gritty and needed a good wash, coffee was very weak. Not a great flat white. BUT the portions were good value for money and overall very tasty. The broccoli cheese was a hit! Service team we're friend and helpful, conscious that it was a busy day but still felt a bit like we were being avoided because the kitchen was behind. Good luck for the season, really is a lovely place and our little one loved the garden and playground

The low score is primarily for the service charge, 12.5% added automatically which may be discretionary and is stated on the menu, but in the smallest of print right at the bottom of the page. We'd paid the bill based on it showing the correct items and only as an afterthought did I think it was a bit high and notice the service charge. I feel this is underhanded and would not come back for that reason. I wasn't planning to tip, not because of the service which was OK, but because the Tich Dip (Roast beef in Ciabatta with pickles, cheese and gravy dip) contained an overpowering amount of horse radish, an ingredient not even mentioned on the board. My wife's fish n chips were good, so I would have left it at a polite mention that the Tich Dip combination didn't in my view work. However any restaurant worth its salt doesn't need to impose a hidden service charge and for that reason we felt the need to warn others and won't be returning.

Popped in here after reading reviews and WOW it didn't disappoint..We asked the young lady serving us for her recommendations and she suggested the burger. I have to say, as a big burger fan, this was the nicest I have ever had. I want to drive the 40 odd miles it is from us just for the burger alone! Neither or my partner could finish it, it was SO filling. We were gutted to be full because it was so tasty. Next time we won't have starters so we can scoff the whole thing! Starters were amazing too. Overall a lovely place seeped with history. The thatched roof makes it so cosy as does the open fire. Definitely our fave pub meal and when we have some respite we'll be back! Definitely a place for a romantic meal so a respite visit only :)

Nothing has changed in terms of service since it reopened with a flurry of excited customers over-powering the kitchen. Still takes ages for food to come out randomly - five of us ordered and were specifically asked if the two starters (which weren't listed as starters on the specials board) were as mains and to come out together, which we confirmed. They came out first and were finished well before the remaining three received any food. Food is very good and coffees were comped, but that doesn't really fix a ruined meal, especially when it just keeps on happening.

We were not told, when booking, that our table would be outside. It was freezing cold (despite the proffered blankets which soon ran out as the place filled up). The outside heaters did not work. Other tables which were seated before us were served first. Most of our party enjoyed their food, I found the meat inedible but the servers were very friendly and apologetic. It’s not their fault that it was so cold and they did their best. Would go back if we were seated inside. Make certain on booking!

If you’re looking for a beautifully designed child friendly gastro pub you will love this pub. It is however more of a restaurant than a plain old fashioned proper pub so if that’s what you’re looking for it’s not the day for this one. Design, gardens, service and food all full marks. Normally fantastic and generally sets a high bar but ...took an uncle of mine who came over from Kent as a celebration and was really disappointed. The Sunday lunch appeared to have changed, the veg was now served on the plate, not separate, the cauliflower was now an extra at £7. The beef was really poor, far too much fat and chewy bits, flooded in gravy, potatoes had been standing on the pass far too long. Normally really impressed with the service but again Sunday was slow, forgot our water....just a poor day alround. Normally wouldn't complain as there is generally nothing to moan about, only praise highly. I guess everyone has an off day, just a great shame it spoilt our day somewhat.

We attended this place for the fist time in July 2024. There was a wedding reception taking place and I thought that that would result in the serving being slow and chaotic. The young woman who served us our food was polite, knowledgeable and knew the menu because she was able to make proper and informed recommendations. The Caesar salad was a pleasant surprise. I expected to be served a portion of lettuce with small pieces of chicken and a tiny bit of cheese. Instead, the portion was rather large (not that I am complaining) and it was well presented. Please look at some of my photos, some of which show the Caesar salad. Although we dined inside, there are many tables from which to choose outside the building.

Been here numerous times. Very good quality pub food, I guess even Gastro pub level though I dislike that term. Given the quality, it is more expensive than standard pub grub but worth it. Service is good and attentive. It is regularly very busy and therefore there is much murmuring hubbub which can impact on dinner conversation but to be fair, that is the same anywhere. Recent glazing in of the outdoor seating area is a welcome upgrade. One thing though, the custard jug needs to be 2 or 3 times larger than it currently is. Use the gravy jug size for custard too!

On a cold February we called in to Arlesford after visiting The Grange. We thought that we just wanted a sandwich but were tempted by the 6oz cheese burgers at only £6.00. They proved to be the largest burgers we have ever had and were supplied by the local butcher. They were well cooked and tasty, the service was excellent, the ladies were chatting to everyone who came in and obviously have a great local trade. At £16 for two burgers and two teas we thought it great value. We’d definitely come again.

I don't know how they can get a kebab so wrong. Dry, unflavoured. Expensive. We all had the chicken souvlaki and none of us finished them. I barely ate mine. It's literally dry pitta bread. With dry skewered chicken in it. Some unseasoned salad next to it. The dips all come separately. I ended up getting a GDK on the way after the gig we had been too as i was so hungry.
