Had a drink here early one evening after a days shopping around the city. Very nice, comfortable, spacious and relaxing bar/restaurant at reasonable prices. Good choice of both good and drinks. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The meal deal on offer from Premier Inn is fantastic value for money at £24.99 for breakfast, 2 course dinner and drink 👌 We will definitely take advantage of their offer, next time we stay.

Ate here when staying round the corner as it was raining, I needed food and this was the first place I came to. I was warmly welcomed and given a table by the window to watch the world go by. Food was served promptly and was good, drinks menu was also good. Relaxed atmosphere, no rush, just what I needed.

Nice tasting food, well presented. some portions were a bit on the small side, and we had to ask for another serving of curry as the sides were great but not enough sauce/actually curry to eat with them! They come pre-portioned so this is a chain issue, not a particular fault of this restaurant. Brilliant, friendly and helpful staff.

3.5 hours for two course meal. Wrong orders/missing items and absolute chaos when it came to paying the bill. The only good thing was the attitude of the waiting staff who were very polite and friendly.

Este restaurante es extremadamente conveniente si desea comer en casa en el Premier Inn. El personal es muy amable y el servicio es bueno. Pescado y patatas fritas estaban perfectamente bien. No hay una gran opción vegetariana pero el plato que tuvimos también estuvo bien. Hay un bar junto al restaurante. El ambiente general es de buen gusto y acogedor.

Kids eat free you can eat as much as you want enough to keep you going till teatime that can't be bad .

He revisado este restaurante antes, ya que uso el premier Inn como parte de mi negocio en Inverness, la comida no fue buena la última vez y frío, lo mismo de nuevo esta vez, pero los 2 muchachos que servían eran muy lentos y debían recordárselo acerca de tomar los pedidos, las actualizaciones a la hora de las comidas y el menú para el próximo curso demoraron más de 45 minutos en aparecer, DESPUÉS de las indicaciones y la comida total se llevó más de 2. 5 horas, nuevamente después de indicaciones / preguntas habituales, y transcurrimos 3 segundos a las 1715 horas

Nice hearty breakfast on offer, with plenty of choices and the offer for the chef to cook eggs anyway you like and fresh porridge. Dinner was very tasty and very fresh with quality ingredients and fantastic staff.

The Thyme Restaurant is within the Premier Inn (River Ness central) hotel where we visited this past weekend. The Breakfasts had such a wide variety of appetising food.We always settle for the "Continental" breakfast, our choice here was cereal/or porridge, with a variety of fresh fruit, plus fresh berries, dried fruit, yogurts a bowl of bananas/apples etc, followed by toast(ed) croissants, pancakes, and several other little delicacies, coffees/teas etc. All very healthy. The cooked breakfasts had at least 6-8 hot choices. plus of course toast etc.The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. a happy atmosphere ensued.Yes Breakfast is THE most important meal of the day.

No soy un gran fan de los restaurantes del hotel, pero por comodidad yo comimos aquí con mi familia y me sorprendió gratamente.Nos sentamos rápido y el servicio fue excelente durante toda la noche, nuestra camarera era magnífico y a pesar de estar ocupado, nada era demasiado problema - no estoy seguro de su nombre, pero ella era de Letonia - con una pizca de acento escocés :)La comida era de buena calidad y el tamaño de las porciones también estaban bien. El precio era lo que esperábamos, así que no hay choques.En general una comida muy buena, con un servicio excelente, felicitaciones a todos!Una recomendación: tuvimos la suerte de conseguir una mesa sin reserva. Fuimos a Tomillo después del espectáculo isla negra como nos alojamos en el Premier Inn. El personal hizo todo lo posible para darnos la bienvenida. La noche pasó muy rápido ya que las bromas amable nos mantenía entretenidos. La comida era buena, así como también a un precio razonable. Había una gran variedad de alimentos disponibles que satisface todas nuestras necesidades. La comida se servía bien caliente y estaba buenísimo.

We arrived late in the evening st the hotel and were delighted that the restaurant was still open. We had a very enjoyable meal. Just what we needed after a 12.5 hour car journey. Pleasant surrounds. The staff very attentive and friendly

Vinimos aquí en nuestro viaje a Inverness, y no esperes mucho al principio. Filetes ordenados, salchichas y patatas fritas. Aturdida después de eso. Mi comida estaba tan sabroso que mi pareja incluso se rió de mí cuando mirando mi cara y vi la expresión sin palabras. De todos modos era simplemente mi punto de vista, y para mí, que se merece 5 estrellas

My brother had the sirloin steak with a peppercorn sauce it came with mushrooms,tomato and skin on chips which he declared delicious, also a glass of Shiraz which went with it beautifully. Very quiet night there, and service was very good and staff were able to answer our questions about the city.

El restaurante es agradable y tiene un ambiente cálido y acogedor. El servicio era excelente, muy servicial y amable. El abadejo y patatas fritas era buena - pescado estaba húmeda y muy sabroso, aunque las patatas fritas más crujientes y secos. La hamburguesa vegetal también era bueno con patatas fritas igualmente decepcionante. En general, nos pareció que era un lugar muy agradable para una comida de calidad razonable.

Lovely food and good sized portions, very clean restaurant and nothing to much trouble for staff, lovely view out onto river ness and very quite and you didn’t feel awkward eating on your own

We were staying at the Premier so went to the connected Thyme Restaurant. It was quiet but filled up a bit as the time went on. The service was good. The gammon steak came with peas, mushrooms and tomato which was a welcomed change from the usual peas served else where. Also it was served with pineapple and an egg. It was a good sized meal and we opted for a rest before we ordered a sweet. The staff were good with this and after about 10 minutes we ordered the sweets which we enjoyed.

Breakfast at the Thyme restaurant is great value for money. The waiter asked if I'd like anything ordered from the kitchen, I asked if they did French toast, not on the menu, but he said he'd ask the chef and out came two delicious slices of French toast. There is something for everyone here, cold breakfasts, hot breakfasts - continental also available.

We stayed at three Premier Inns on our holiday... I wish there were more north of the central belt, particularly Oban. The other two had Brewers Fayre for eating. We much preferred the Thyme, it seemed more upmarket and the food was better. Annoying incident at breakfast (but much laughed about since) and no fault of the staff but after being seated at a table we went off to get the food and drinks from the buffet and returned to find someone else had sat at "our" table and moved my partners belongings to another table... whatever happened to manners?

Full breakfast warm, not piping hot, choice ok. Continental breakfast, choice limited and some of the fruit was still frozen, not defrosted properly.

Tenía un fabuloso desayuno y cena aquí. La comida era muy buena. Buffet completo de desayuno era fresco y sabroso. La cena fue un arranque de alas de pollo (se me olvidó el glaseado en ellos, avión llegó, pero sin importarles), luego una hamburguesa. Delicioso. Nos gustaría comer aquí de nuevo si nos alojamos en el hotel en el futuro.

Went for breakfast with my friends and paid for the continental breakfast, expecting that there would be a good selection at 9.45am as they stop serving breakfast at 11am.However, when i went up to the counter there was almost nothing left. No pastries, croissants, flapjacks etc - just some bread and cereal. I asked a member of staff if there was more food coming but i was told no as the oven takes too long to heat up and they had been very busy, hence there was so little of a selection. I asked for a discount but was told that they would have to get the manager to authorise this - fair enough. The manager however (Steph?), had a terrible attitude and spoke to us like we had asked for something ridiculous (asking for the food you paid for is really not that big a deal surely?). I sincerely hope that she isn't the full-time manager as the customers must be driven away in their droves by her.We were not offered any refund, discount or even as much as an apology - only a card with the e-mail address to pass on any complaints which she threw upon the table with disgust. I can't tell you how poor her attitude was... maybe having a bad day i hope!

Couldn't fault the food, great meal every night as I stayed Monday to Friday. I recommend the BBQ chicken wings with the blue cheese sauce....yum!

I always book hotels serviced by a Thyme restaurant as i find that they are incorporated in the hotel and not adjacent in my experience.Over the past few years i have stayed in quite a few Premier Inns and found the staff are always friendly and wiling to go the extra mile.

Good choice of food and very reasonably priced. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Safe and comfortable for lone female travellers and a meal deal package is excellent value

Had breakfast and evening meal here and couldn't fault it. Staff helpful and friendly. Good with kids.

Good steaks, nice atmosphere with very good service, we ate here twice and enjoyed it both times. The Italian red house wine is a good choice.

Typical chain restaurant. Food was good, freshly cooked and well presented. Menu was fairly limited but still a good choice of things. Very clean and staff were friendly and efficient.

We stayed at the Hotel for 7 days (good) and took 2 meals there in the restaurant. Surprisingly good for a hotel chain restaurant (if you stay breakfasts are rather good as well) fish and meat was the match for many other local fooderies. Prices on a par with local restaurants and wine ok although I thought the house white was bland, pay a bit more and its fine.

Breakfast and 2 course dinner for £23. Good value although I ordered sirloin steak and got rump which was a bit tough. The rose wine was dreadful, however this was included in the price and was changed at no extra charge. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Terrible meal..steak was cremated when asked for medium. Mash tatties tasteless and watery. Defo would not be back would go to the other one up by the canal better food.

I visited here wig my husband and two children after visiting Loch Ness. I had fish and chips, which were slightly overdone but I still enjoyed it. I asked for mushy peas and was brought garden peas. Kids meals and great and worth the price. My kids loved the spaghetti bolognese and burger. My husband also had burger, which he enjoyed. The only thing that put me off was that there was blood in one of the toilets around the sink and on the floor and it was only lunch time. I'm not sure the toilet had been cleaned for a while. Would still go back again.

We stayed at the Premier Inn adjacent to this restaurant, so knowing we had a day of driving ahead, we took them up on the offer to add the breakfast to the room. Very clean, and somewhat busy. We had a bit of a wait to be seated, but after we go to our table, the service and the food were quite nice. We both ordered a fresh cooked serving of the bacon and eggs, but I couldn't help notice something I was unfamiliar with "Bubbles and Squeak"? I asked the server, who explained: "Its potatoes, cabbage, and onions" sautéed together. We both confirmed we wanted some of that as well. We sipped our delicious "Costa" coffee drinks from their fully automatic self serve machine, and prepared our toast from the self-serve section of the experience. I don't know that I would pick this place out to just eat, but if you're staying here...it's worth the additional $8.95 per person.

We had an evening meal here. 5 of us. I have never eaten at a Thyme before. Service was very good. Food was good with good sized portions for my hungry teenagers. Overall given the price and convenience I thought it was very good and would recommend to other families staying at the Premier Inn in Inverness. I can't praise the staff enough.

Having spent the wettest day of the year in Inverness we decided against getting soaked and opted to eat 'in house'. So pleased we did, my Hunters Chicken was superb, tender, moist breast of chicken topped with Monteray Jack cheese and BBQ sauce served with corn slices, tomato and fries.My husband chose a chicken and bacon salad which he declared to be delicious, no mean feat in pleasing him!The service was pleasant, friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

We ate at the Thyme restaurant on the Premier Inn "meal deal" whereby you can have an all-you-can eat breakfast and two-course dinner and one (selected) drink for £23.99. The breakfast was fine - food well cooked and the buffet bar was kept well stocked. Dinner was only average - we have eaten in other Thyme restaurants in the past and the same dishes were better cooked and presented (the St Pancras restaurant being particularly good. Overall, OK and not bad value but nothing more.

I've stayed at sever PI. There seems to be 3 different restaurants incorporated. Beefeaters, Thyme & Table,Table. Always a decent meal, good service.

Never encountered such a slow running place..Wouldn't say the menu is packed..Very slow service..staff seem pretty slow and unattentive..could do with proper training or a kick up the backside to say the least.Wouldn't recommend to anyone same as the Beefeater or the Brewers Fayre.

Lovely casual dining atmosphere right by the waterfront. Good selection of bar style foods with great service. Breakfast is also a good option if you are staying at the hotel.

We had a lovely meal before we set off on our travels. Good pub grub with plenty of choice and served by friendly and helpful staff.

Just had the one evening, and a breakfast to write about. Can only really comment upon the service and type of enviroment, not having sampled most of the menu. The car park was big and parking could be easier if the pay to display was posted as un-necessary for customers. Once inside, the wait for a table was clear to see and whilst a wait is inevitable at these moments, you never really feel welcome. These moments usually mean you're trying to pull a staff member away from doing something else, to place you at a table.The bar was empty of anyone and only a few were dining when my wife and I visited, around 5.30pm on a Saturday evening. We were treated very well by the staff attending, and the blonde lady went out of her way several times to find the answers to our questions - "what is served with the ribs, and whether they had a certain cider". The meal arrived after approx 15 minutes, which I would deem easily acceptable.The concern we only had, was the venue size. It looked to accomodate party sizes of mostly couples and foursomes. One party, a size of 8 were given adjoining tables which placed them at various eating heights. It reminded me of a christmas meal at home, with the kids getting the wobbly chairs. Amusing, but not really the type of impression a restaurant should be giving. They need bigger areas for larger groups with tables better interlocking.The bar area was pleasant, no television or anything to distract. It meant a quiet evening was possible, and eventually the bar had someone serving more regulalrly. The selection from the bar was minimal though, if you like something different, it's unlikely served here.

Food good but took an hour from ordering to food arriving at table. No aplogogy or explanation for slow service. Restaurant wasn't even half full so why so slow.Definitely won't be getting a return visit from me.

Liked the look of the menu so decided to try it out. Very nice staff and comfy seating. The menu caters for all tastes and we both decided to have a curry which was very well presented, piping hot and extremely tasty. would recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for the third time but it was the first time we have eaten in the restaurant. We initially tried to book at three other nearby restaurants but they were all fully booked. The weather wasn't great so we decided to stay at the hotel and how glad we were. The service was as good as we have had at any restaurant, I really cannot praise the staff highly enough, they were efficient and very attentive, We have probably paid twice the price for food of lesser quality. We also had breakfast and again as good as any 4 star hotel. We will certainly not ignore this restaurant in the future.Please do not ignore this restaurant and thanks to the staff.

Having never ever stayed in a Premier Inn I therefore had never eaten in one. I really did not want to walk around inverness to find somewhere having arrived around 8pm at the Hotel. The weather was dreadful with heavy rain so I decided to stay and eat in the Thyme Restaurant. I had the parcels of duck which were extremely good, then chicken breast with parma ham and cheese, the chicken was very moist, good selection of vegetables. I had a bread and butter pudding with a twist which was good and coffee followed, two glasses of wine and the price was extremely good value.

Comfortable restaurant within the Premier Inn. Wide variety of choice from the menu and pretty reasonably priced. nice relaxed atmosphere- the perfect way to unwind after a long journey

The Restaurant was not busy . It was Sunday night very good waitress . Not much choice but hot and well served

A very good meal and, unlike many other Premier Inn restaurants, full waiter service. Very good service too. The food is good quality and well presented, though not very inspiring thanks to Premier Inns' nation wide standard menu.

Our breakfast came with our hotel room, if you have never been to Great Britain before they have the same thing for breakfast everyday. Their definition of variety is adding or subtracting from the same thing every day. If you are after a breakfast burrito you are out of luck.

We ate here as we were guests of the Premier Inn just next door so it was perfect for dinner, we were both craving a good steak after travelling through England which failed to meet our expectations, so we ordered the duck parcels to start and then the Rib Eye steaks and hallelujah they were amazing, cooked to perfection and the sauces were also very yummy, the duck parcels were great too so great we ate the same again the following night, the wait staff there were so very friendly we can't thank the young Agnes and Kumar enough for the very attentive and professional persona just wish we could have stayed longer.

Ate at this hotel the night before the menu changed in May.We had to wait 5 minutes for a table in a half empty restaurant, the staff were not really that attentive.The salad - well lets say it had the smallest amount of salad and about 1/4 of an egg.The staff also took forever to give us the bill and process it.The Hotel to stay in is great, but I would think twice about eating here again considering Inverness has plenty of good restaurants.

American style eatery, but a good selection and tasty food, nonetheless. Service was fairly fast and prices fairly good.

Well what can I say... Apart from out of the 3 meals that we ordered none were great. Ordered a kids meal but once server left I realised that they hadn't asked if we wanted chips or potatoes with it, I called the waitress back and explained this to her and said chips would be great she said sorry too late I can't put it through now....so son got a small child's portion hot dog with no chips!!Only positive was that kids special deserts menu was good.

As commented in my main review, great prices, choice of food and the staff were very friendly. If staying in the hotel, go for their package deal of breakfast and main meal.

The restaurant is nice, staff attentive and overall the meal was very good. Wife's meal wasn't exactly as shown in the menu, and my 8oz was cooked as requested but very watery, but overall we were happy. Breakfast in the morning was nice, self service. No issue in asking for alternative egg options as offered.

As it was Mothers Day weekend we struggled to get reservations in nearby restaurants so we ate in the hotel on all 3 nights and all the food passed everyone's taste tests!

The Thyme restaurant is a little gem with amazingly friendly, efficient staff :-)Great view of the river Ness and great food! I had the risotto and my husband had the smoked salmon salad - both plates were emptied as the meals were delicious!Highly recommended.

Convinced by the dinner and breakfast deal I took a shot at the this place. I chose the (allegedly) best items from each course. My miniature prawn tempura clearly came from a frozen box, my petite sirloin was cooked more than I requested, it was dry and tasteless while the green beans, tomato and mushroom on the plate were just bland and clearly reheated. Bread and butter pud was very disappointing. Small, no flavour and part of it hadn't been soaked properly so it tasted like old dried bread. The custard that comes with it is just a cheap instant one. My SO had the full house burger (massive!) and apple crumble and she was happy with it. I tried a bit of both and the burger quality was just pub average while the crumble sadly didn't taste as freshly made, but since they can't get a bread&butter pud right I was relieved. My beer was very good, so was the waiter Jeff, very friendly, chatty and caring. Premier Inn clearly imposes the same menu all over UK. It's too long (hence frozen and instant items) and it doesn't reflect local produce. This can create disappointments and bad value for money, even if it's a menu deal. Inverness has a handful of reasonably priced and delightful independent restaurants sourced with fresh local food. Worth to try since you can get Premier Inn menu anywhere else.

We were a bit dubious about eating at a restaurant attached to the hotel but it was great. The whole atmosphere was very relaxing, music, furniture decor. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient, no hanging around waiting or trying to catch the waitresses attention to get served. The menu was great we thoroughly recommend the baked camembert well worth the wait. The restaurant manager was an very organised young woman and I thoroughly recommend the restaurant comapred to other Preimier Inn restaurants Thyme was in a class of it's own. Well done.

Liked full day eat what you like breakfast @ £8.75. Porridge included by request to waitress.Breakfast finishes at 10.30 but at 9.45 they started to shut down the 'self serve' part so that you'd then have to ask for what you'd like

We struck out on two other restaurants and tried Thyme at the hotel. We were impressed by being seated quickly, having good service from two waiters, and enjoying quick, tasty service from the kitchen. Our group tried the soup, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, salmon, and beef & mushroom pie- all with happy response from the various diners. The servers also apologized for their service (which we couldn't understand, it was fast & efficient) but they felt they were "in the weeds" due to many guests arriving simultaneously. I expect Thyme will be quite popular if the high quality of both food & service stay the same!

The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. My partner and I were just in for a light dinner and so shared the platter, with garlic bread and chips. Overall the meal was lovely and if we were to return to the hotel we would most definitely eat at the restaurant again.
