Three Rooms in Bedford

Great dining experience. The restaurant is very stylish and the tables looked lovely with crisp clean linen table cloths and napkins, sparkling glasses and good cutlery with a red rose centrepiece. The food was delicious and nicely presented. I had chicken shashlik which was cooked perfectly and a tasty tarka dhal. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely recommend a visit.

Will not be coming back here. This was our first time trying 3 Rooms restaurant. I never complain about food or take the time out to leave a negative review. Unfortunately the restaurants food was absolutely bland and disappointing. It was not enjoyable at all. It seems to be catered to the English palettes, so we asked for the food to be spicier beforehand when the waiter took our order. This was not met, after politely complaining to see if anything can be done, the waiter had brought out a bowl of raw green chillis and chilli sauce, in hope that this would make the food better! You can really tell when a dish has been cooked with love and care and this chef just seemed careless, which lowers the standard of what this restaurant could be. Experience would have been much better if steps were taken to acknowledge and remedy our complaint. Unfortunately this was not the case. No apology for the food or service. A “replacement” dish for the “lamb karahi” came out, however this was the same dish cooked again with some chillis thrown in. The food, barely touched, was packed and brought to the table with the bill, like they just wanted us to get up and leave. Really disappointed as we left hungry and went to a take away down the road… I’ve never had an experience like this at a restaurant.

Truly the best Indian I’ve had! The food, staff, and atmosphere - everything was perfect. Food was 10/10 (as always). Particularly enjoyed the Three Rooms King Prawn, and the Lamb Desi Naga. Asked for extra spice and wow, unreal! Staff were super friendly and ensured we were happy with their service. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the history of Indian restaurants displayed on the walls really topped it off for me! Who doesn’t love a bit of history!? My go to when in Bedford! Highly recommend.

Gorgeous absolutely fab bday dins celebrated for a friend. We all loved our meals & everything about the evening was enhanced by the staff & service. Very highly recommended

Lovely food would highly recommend. I had a mix grill for starters was full of flavour. Mains we had a king prawn curry, mixed vegetable & daal, also paneer. The papadoms and mint sauce was a great combo

Average Indian food.. not upto the mark especially for the price being paid

What have you done to your poppadoms? The last two takeaways they have tasted of old oil. Other than this, I would recommend this restaurant, hopefully they will get this sorted.

Really enjoyed my time at Three rooms with the family.

Have been a few times over the last 3 years. Initially it was good but not exceptional. Last 2 visits,both in the last month saw a step change. From before. Now humming with a good vibe and excellent food.

Food was nice, nice selection and some interesting dishes. Atmosphere was ok although very quiet. Service ok although not particularly friendly. My criticism was a £8 for a coffee. We thought there had been a error on the bill. I'd ordered a double espresso and they charged me double the price of an espresso which I thought was fairly unreasonable anyway! When I questioned they were insistent of charge! Ridiculous! Won't be going again!

Went here for a birthday for a friend, lovely staff and great atmosphere. Had an incredible meal and the staff were spot on. They even went out of their way to help my friend who is on crutches with a more suitable seat to enjoy his meal. Would thoroughly recommend

Short wait for a pre booked table. Place was full and noisy. Walk ins being turned away. Food was excellent, prices were higher than their own website so that needs an update. Service charge added as we were 6 or more????

Went for our wedding anniversary. Booking lost.found table but then neglected all evening. Took 20 minutes just to order drinks & longer for food. Had starter then after 30 morning minutes had to chase up where main was. Ruined what should have been a special evening out.

We love their food, highly recommend the Chicken Bahar, Duck Vindaloo and Chicken Jalfrezi. They have only ever forgot 1 item, but they were so polite and quick to redeliver this. We look forward to our next family dinner and ordering Three Rooms again :)

It was my first time at Three Rooms! Food is very good. Nice atmosphere and stuff provided a good service! We had lamb chop, three room star platter, egg fried rise, plain rise, chicken, plain naan, garlic naan, mango dessert. All amazing! Highly recommended!

We visited without a booking on Saturday evening but managed to get a table. I certainly wish we hadn’t though. Service was amateur and the waiters seemed disoriented. Food came late and we were told they are very busy. My food was a bit boring and my friend’s dish was wrong but was quickly replaced. Second disappointing visit so I won’t be visiting again.

We came here for Mother's Day. It's a very nice restaurant 🍴 and the food is delicious. The naan bread was just 😍🤤. The only thing I'd point out is the service, it was a little hmmm not that friendly.

Went to attend a birthday party. Good things- 1. One curry (out of four) was nice. Food feels fresh (but lack the flavour). 2. The people there seems nice. 3. The location was good. Easy to find. Bad things- 1. They told us at 10pm that the card machine is not working.. none of the card machines!! We had to take the cash out.. quite a walk. Not pleasant. 2. Biriyani was not good. They need to work really hard. No flavour.. no spice.. very flat.

I ordered a take away worth £55 for a small gathering, was very disappointed. The oinions was not cooked, the taste was very bland, felt it was done in a rush. I also found it overpriced for the portion recieved.

Sadly the experience was more than disappointing. Arrived on time and was shown to our table and sat there for over ten minutes to be asked if we wanted a drink. Got the drinks and one was incorrect with no apology. Ordered our staters at 8.30 and had to chase for them at 9.20, and once received they were warm at best. Mentioned this to the waiter and received a half hearted apology but no contact from a senior waiter or manager acknowledging out initial poor experience. 10.10pm and I had to go and find the owner to establish if our main courses were arriving and at 10.25 it arrived again warm at best. The attention, understanding and general customer service was dreadful. Sitting opposite us were two regulars who witnessed our experience and like us were disappointed with what happened .I asked for the bill and even then no apology, so I asked to speak with the owner/manager but he conveniently was talking on his mobile phone so I didn’t have the chance to express my disappointment to him.

Absolutely superb. Great food, great atmosphere. We went here for our daughters 16th and had a great time. The tandoori paneer was amazing. Perfectly cooked with a Nice kick! Thank you!

I'm truely disappointed to leave this review. Having read such possitive feed back. We came in as a large booking. Promptly told too much hard work for them to keep tabs individually. Food arrived and I was not able to eat my meal all at once so I left to have a cigarette and chat out side with friends and I came back to find my meal was gone. I then went to pay paid for the few bites I had plus poppadoms that I didn't have. As we all went to pay the last of party was then stiffed with £90 extra. With no clear tab record kept it was impossible to determain how this happened to rectify it. Every one said that they ended paying more than they thought so how was their such a big discrepancy? They were unfriendly in rectifying the issue I was so angry I went out side and we all discussed how it felt hostile and unfriendly there. It doesn't hurt to smile at your customers. I'm truly just baffled by the lack of effort and even though I can't say any one was rude or the food was terrible. It wasn't enjoyable. I wouldn't go back. Neither will any of my party.

Really lovely, ambience and service was amazing, really accommodating, onion baji have to say the best i’ve ever had, everything was fresh and very well seasoned, been a couple of times now and had takeaway/delivery cant fault it.

The best indian in all of Bedfordshire

I ordered Chicken Biryani and the Hot Gravy. However, the onions were not cooked properly in the gravy and tasted very bland and watery consistency. In the past i have ordered from here and the food has always been 5* however, this time i felt this was cooked in a rush.

Lovely takeaway, I wish it could have been hotter (as in spice!). However the chana masala was fantastic.

Awesome restaurant...surprised I've not come across it before. Fine dining experience but still retains the authenticity of Indian foods and spices. Everything was fresh and really tasty. Lovely ambience as well. I would definitely recommend and will most definitely be back!

Couldn't recommend enough. Always very friendly and the food is to die for! Extremely easy to order gluten free as allergens are listed on the menu!

Only been once but will definitely return. Curry was mouth watering and considering we was a big group food came out altogether, hot, and exactly as ordered. Staff was friendly too. I personally had the Lamb curry, Biriani, chapati and was so good I’m still thinking about it weeks later. Staff was friendly and efficient.

The food here is amazing, and for a fair price. The atmosphere is also wonderful, with very polite and friendly staff and a clean and good looking interior. If you want to go to a restaurant in Bedfordshire, The Three Rooms is a great choice!

I am imploring the people of Bedford to support Three Rooms through these difficult times. This is a restaurant that deserves to survive. I’ve eaten Indian food all over the UK and around the world and this restaurant is up there with the best. Give it a try…..you won’t regret it. A special shout out to Ali, Biju and Kuhim. Haven’t visited in a while, however I took my 3 children on our first Dad’s Curry Club this week. Food was lovely and full of flavour. The stuffed pepper and Prawn Vindaloo really stood out. The service was great as well. The restaurant is lovely and is on the same site where my uncle had his restaurant 35 years ago when my dad was the manager. My only criticism was my lamb chops. I asked the waiter if they were prepared from scratch as I’d like them pink and not well done and dry. The waiter advised they’d be good. If he’d told me otherwise I’d have ordered something different. However they were not the nicest chops I’ve had in Bedford. On the plus side the flavour was great. I would certainly go again and recommend to others. Thanks

This restaurant is lovely! The decor is cute and the food is delicious! The menu shows all allergy advice on each dish which is super helpful and lots to choose from! Plus the lamb chops were cooked to perfection!
