The Three Kings has been decorated and looks very nice. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, could not fault the service. Meal was nice - I have prawn cocktail which was excellent for a starter, however my main gammon, although acceptable, did not come out with any pineapple (perhaps it was because I asked for no egg and it was presumed I did not want the pineapple either?), plenty of fries. Overall a nice meal.

Absolutely amazing pub with a great amosphere. Martin and John who run it are friendly and warm guys incredibly welcoming and always have a chat at the bar. The staff who work alongside them are literally the friendliest and warmest bunch of staff i have ever met. Nothing is too much for them they serve with a smile and are as chatty as the owners. The best part about this pub is its LGBT freindly. Me and my partner felt so welcome and not judged like in other pubs. No one stared or asked questions or said anything, no smart comments from anyone. Now the food! literally, we have been to so many chain pubs you wouldnt believe. This place...the food...STUNNING! i had THE BEST stilton and brocolli soup ive ever had in my life it tasted of all the ingredients not just the cheese. The lamb shank was out of this world. So tender fall off the bone. The gravy was the best ive ever tasted, the greens were cooked al dente just how they should do and the mash was delicious! I honestly am making this place my regular even though its about 20 mile from my home. Its worth the trip and trust me...you wont be disappointed!!! All the food is priced so its affordable in fact id had paid more for my lamb shank it was cooked that well! they have a fantastic range of Ale's on pump which is something i really notice in a pub it wasnt the usual case of a choice between carling, fosters & san miguel. This place has it all and i would definately recommend it to anyone in the area!!!

I would highly recommend the Three Kings Inn at Threekingham to anyone who wants to visit a fantastic country pub in a small picturesque village. John and Martin who are the landlords of the pub are so friendly and welcoming along with the rest of their team. We visiting on a sunny Saturday afternoon and sat in the beautiful garden enjoying a couple of drinks then we decided to have food and all we can say is wow! The crispy filo wrapped king prawns were to die for as was the gammon steak. My partner had Stilton and broccoli soup and he said it was the best he had ever tasted and his lamb shank simply fell off the bone. We cannot wait to return and sample more of the delicious food and great atmosphere. They have bike nights, live music and local singers too as well as quizzes and karaoke nights this pub really is fantastic and the fact that John and Martin make you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door makes it even more appealing. Thanks again everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Be warned. Having checked the opening times for the pub last Saturday lunchtime, we set off on journey to arrive at 2.15pm, 45 minutes before it was advertised as closing. We arrived at the door to find the staff locking up saying they were closed! It makes you wonder, when you hear pubs closing, is it because they fail to provide a basic level of customer service like The Three Kings did on Saturday? Being closed when advertised as open is not a positive customer experience and is a slippery slope deterring customers returning. Some advice for owners of The Three Kings, employ staff that care and if you are going to shut shop early - then at least warn your customers that might happen and advise them to check by ringing in advance before setting off on a wasted journey!

We often used to visit the Three Kings. This time it was for dinner in between Christmas and New Year - the meal was very good, albeit some foods were not available however the bar area where we ate was very cold which unfortunately was not very comfortable. We come to the quiz on Wednesday and Tracy does a fantastic job, we love it. We normally eat there but the food is disgusting, the new chef has a terrible attitude and can’t cook a chip. It’s not the same there anymore, the waitresses don’t have a clue what to do. Claire was fantastic in the pub she had everything organised and worked the bar very professional and very friendly. Now there is no atmosphere and last night the quiz couldn’t go ahead because no one had turn up because of how bad the food is. Diane was great at cooking and everyone loved her food. She is greatly missed. The pub had a great reputation and now it’s totally gone downhill. Chef can’t cook, waitresses can’t wait on tables as they haven’t been trained. Horrendous food

We hadn't booked and the pub was very busy on arrival at around 7.15 on a Friday evening. The bar was full but there was a spare table in the restaurant for us. Definitely service with a smile with the lady in charge who was lovely from start to finish. Traditional pub food. The fish pie was very tasty with an iceberg lettuce, tomato, cucumber and onion salad and my husband's lasagne was quite a large portion with the same basic salad. The trifle wasn't really to my taste, just a personal preference really, as I prefer jelly, thick custard and cream and berries in my trifle. My husband really enjoyed his homemade Eton Mess.

We had a friendly welcome, the staff were very attentive and the food was served in good time. The table and menus were clean ( not sticky as sometimes found elsewhere) The prawn cocktail starter was very good and served with a warm roll. For the main course I chose the fillet stake, this was cooked exactly as ordered (medium-rare). I have no idea why they gave me a steak knife as it was that tender I'm sure I could have cut it with a butter knife! The apple pie and cream made a great end to a terrific meal and all round experience, all washed down with a nice cool pint of Guinness. We will certainly pay another visit when we next holiday in the area.

First visit for us, not so for friends who live nearby and have been several times. It was their recommendation.Lovely old building in good order, well located, and with car parking aplenty just over the (quiet) road. We'd booked, and on entering were given the choice of seating in the bar or the restaurant. We took the bar - wrong decision, a fairly noisy party came in shortly after and our conversation almost ground to a halt under their noise.Ordered food; I decided to try the apricot nut roast which sounded nice. It all looked good when it arrived and my nut roast was tasty, though not very warm, and as it cooled further it became more and more stodgy - I left a chunk of it as it had developed the texture of sticky rice. My companions also left some of their food and expressed disappointment - "not to the usual standard" they suggested. We had just a coffee to finish - and that was delicious. Very, very good, strong and smooth. It's a lovely pub / restaurant; clean, smart, not a sticky table or menu in sight. I'd like to go back sometime and try again; it seems likely we were just unlucky and this place does havea good reputation.

We had made a reservation for a family meal which sadly we had to cancel due to health reasons following my Nan going into hospital. My partner had called over a week in advance in order to cancel the reservation but she was called on the day of the original reservation being questioned as to where we were in a very rude manner. She explained that she had spoken to a man previously to cancel the reservation at which point she was hung up on. She called back to advise the exact time and date of the call so they could investigate if they so desired but the same man was extremely rude again. I personally took offence to this and called back to ask for the apology my partner deserved, I got through to a lady to whom I explained the situation and on my request for an apology she snapped "well you aint gonna get one" and hung up. Don't care how good the food may be these people are not worthy of anyone spending their hard earned money on and I certainly won't be going. Score of 1 given as zero not an option

The food service was a little too quick with our meal appearing just over 10 mins after ordering - I guess there was an element of 'microwaving' to reheat dishes previously cooked!! However food was well - presented and tasty. There was an excellent atmosphere here with a good buzz of locals plus visitors. Will be returning.

Every customer gets a great welcome and drinks are served well and efficiently. A good range of beers with a nice guest beer available on this visit. We went on steak night (fully booked). Some good deals on steak so worth a visit. Food was good and a good dessert menu recommend the Sticky toffee pudding very light and fluffy as well as tasty. Would visit again happily.

Our first visit a couple of months ago coincided with the arrival of a coach party who were dining. This was no problem as they were a considerate and quiet bunch. but it did show the pub in a very good light - the staff were cheerful and efficient and made sure that regulars and others outside of the group were attended to promptly.Thia experiece lead us to stop for a meal on the way back from s long trip. We are glad we did.Although we chose simple dishes, they were tasty and well prepared. Service was again excellent and we will certainly be calling again, perhaps trying something a little more advenurous! This second visit gave us the opportunity to take in the delightful garden and pleasant ambience of the bar area.

Invited by friends for evening meal here- last visited probably 5 years ago for lunch with my elderly mother. Delighted to see the owners still here, working hard in the kitchen, producing good quality food to order from an extensive menu. The garden area is stunning with floral displays - well worth sitting outside surrounded by such a colourful display. Large car park. Popular with locals and others prepared to travel to this lovely old coaching Inn.

We thought we'd try somewhere new for a birthday lunch. The pub website included a picture of guests sitting at atable on the terrace with their dog, so accompanied by our two chihuahuaswe headed for the tiny village of Threekingham. The Three Kings pub has a very attractive interior, particularly the bar areawith its oak beams and comfortable seating. The menu has a very good selection of English pub food, with additional dishesdisplayed on a blackboard over the fireplace. We both ordered the whitebait or"blanchbait" as it appeared on the menu - whichever description you prefer - it wasparticularly good, both in taste and crunchiness. We then selected from the blackboard, a steak and kidney suet pudding and the Lincolnshiresausage toadie - three large sausages in a massive Yorkshire pudding, accompanied bygreen peas and mashed potato. It was all very nicely cooked, but the portions were evengreater than our appetites. The landlord told me that they have a lot of local farm people ascustomers, who arrive very hungry and expect large meals - maybe we,ll have to walk herenext time to build up an appetite! We still ordered a lemon tartlet with icecream and an Irishcoffee, both of which were a more normal size. The food was very good, the service friendly and efficient and we shall haveto visit again soon, as we want to try the rack of barbecue ribs, and, if I starvemyself for a few days, the Three Kings mixed grill, which sounds quite a challenge.

We visited for a friends birthday, our first visit. It was steak night, so all four of us chose sirloins which were cooked just to our liking. The price includes either a pudding each or a bottle of wine which makes it very good value. The restaurant and bar area are relaxed and nicely appointed, and the staff were excellent. The landlady in particular was a hoot and very welcoming. The only thing that would've improved our visit? I would've preferred homemade onion rings, but that's all I can fault. We will definitely be back.

Food mostly OK...as long as you don't like a flavoursome steak. Just bland, but cooked well.Didn't expect the whitebait to be in breadcrumbs. Was sat right against the bar. Asked to move further away to a quieter part of the restaurant area (and also didn't have the toilet/sewer smell). And the landlord moaned, and was quite sarcastic, offering the table next to ours, then moaned some more before begrudgingly saying to go sit somewhere else.Won't be returning. Paying customers should be made to feel welcome and relaxed. The landlord acted completely the opposite.

Visited for the first time 3 weeks ago whilst staying in the area. There were 4 of us and we all enjoyed the meal so much we booked again for the following night. The fish portions were huge and with very thin batter - and fresh! The service was good and the atmosphere convivial. We would recommend booking at the weekend.

We've been meaning to try the Three Kings for some time and finally made it this Saturday. We only popped in for a bar snack but will definitely be back for dinner in the restaurant in the near future. The bar is very clean and the decor is very much countryside inn. A lovely warm welcome and very friendly staff. A good choice of food to choose from on the menu and the specials board. We selected a baguette each which is served with salad and chips. Very good value for money, looked at fellow diners plates and it all looked delicious! Almost forgot to mention the real fire and the beautiful wood burning smell. Am looking to go for a walk in the surrounding area and finish up there for a lunch and drink. Definitely recommend

Four seniors booked for lunch mid-week, and the experience was little short of superb. Many rural pubs are quiet on a lunchtime, and this one is no exception, but our welcome was warm, and our table ready. The menu here is not that extensive, but there are always 'specials' on a board, and there is more than enough on offer to suit any taste. The food here is exceptional, appears all home cooked by a very competent chef/cook and I have to come clean and say that my wife & I have eaten here on several occasions and have always found it excellent. The pub is kept beautifully, well furnished and very clean and tidy.If you are looking for a lovely typical English old fashioned pub, with a landlord to go with it, then you have just found it ! Enjoy !

We have met with Norfolk friends here over the last 7 years and had exceptional quality food and service but today exceeded our expectations. We loved the refurbished decor (not visited for a while). The log fire was burning and choice of specials from fish to pies and pasta made it difficult to choose!! All freshly cooked we were all pleased with our choices of scampi, chicken in Stilton sauce and steak and kidney pie. All our salads and vegetables were delicious too as were the desserts to follow. An enjoyable time in every respect. Waitress was friendly and the landlord too - won't leave it so long before we plan a return visit.

Lovely looking pub from the outside, There is a big car park across the road opposite. Cosy and welcoming inside. A real crackling log fire was burning in the lounge bar. We liked the Window seating for two. The dining room is comfortable, with soft seats and lighting. Relaxing and romantic. If you order two steaks on a Thursday, you get either a bottle of wine on the house, or two desserts. Super! The menu was varied, and there was quite a bit that looked really tasty. Scallops, duck, etc.The draught Bass was very nice indeed too.Steaks were plump, juicy and well cooked. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We certainly felt very relaxed and at home here.I would say it's more suited for adult groups and couples than children, but I'm sure they would be warmly welcomed. Definitely worth a visit.

We met up with friends for lunch at this lovely old pub yesterday & wanted to write this review to tell everyone what a gem this is.It was so refreshing to be served with proper home cooked food instead of the usual microwaved & deep fried choices offered in most places. The pub is warm, comfortable & attractive, all in all an excellent place to visit.

How disappointed - roast potatoes & yorkshires were reheated & chewy, roast beef meat was processed and not fresh cooked in our opinion, cheese sauce was watery, peas over cooked. Portions not great for price. Great environment, lovely staff but won't be recommending or returning. We feel so disappointed as we were hoping to find a local pub we could start visiting regularly for meals.

Great food at a really reasonable price. We visited on curry night. A great selection served with poppadoms and naan bread. Our meals were extremely reasonably priced, served promptly, the food was hot, tasty and there was plenty of it. The bar had a great atmosphere, the staff were polite and there was a good selection of alcoholic and soft drinks.

After a long mornings work from 2am to 1pm I arranged to meet my wife for a chilled drink before heading home. We decided to meet and try out our local pub, The Lincoln Green as we understood it is under new owners and would like to support it.. Sadly on being asked if we were drinking only I was asked if we would go into the bar area. The lady was friendly and I have absolutely no issues with her as this is obviously(in my view) a very misguided policy. I informed her that we would not wish to do that as in the past we have found it cold with wooden floors which when the football is on makes it noisy. I have no issues with this in general as I enjoy watching football and make special trips to do so at pubs for the atmosphere but on this occasion myself and my wife just wanted a quiet, comfortable drink together. I explained this and added that the comfortable restaurant was totally empty. We were offered the chance begrudgingly to sit tucked around the corner as a large table(15 which soon turned to 8) was expected shortly. She declared that on this occasion we could but she had to state she couldn't promise in the future. I told her that we wouldn't waste our time trying in the future. We will just go straight to the CENTURION or HARROWS where we know we can sit in comfort and nice decoration for a quiet drink. Things I don't understand-1) if I was eating I would much prefer some atmosphere with some drinkers as opposed to an empty restaurant. 2) Had it been 11.30 with the possibility of a full restaurant I can understand not wishing to take tables but this was 2pm and totally empty. 3) we were not a noisy group who would be shouting and swearing and could spoil someone's dining experience 4) Surely a pub should be able to cater for diners, sports and football fans AND couples hoping for just a nice drink. Sadly, unless this policy changes we will not be back(unless to watch the football)

I am allergic to Garlic and often struggle to find things to eat in restaurants. The staff here were so friendly, they checked through ingredients and even offered to tweak the menu to make me something. Even though the pub is a Hungry Horse, the staff made it feel like a local, rather than a franchise.
