Super rude staff, slowly speed for service. Stopped us and asked us pay the bill again. After his coworker told him we already paid.No apologies at all.Also when I walk down to the backyard I saw the chef taste food with a spoon and put the spoon back to pot.

Was my little go to local, but the recent price rise has driven me and other regulars away. £7.50 a pint and £5.50 around the corner in as nice as and as friendly as pub, The Foundry has our trade now. Sad.

We were told the pub was closed at 22:00 on the 09/07/2024. Clearly prejudice against anyone that doesn’t fit the bar staff criteria. In this day and age people need sensitivity training and need to be open to all. For an establishment in Brighton to show such disregard for equality, what a sad day for Brighton.

Stay away. £30 not enough for 4 pints last Saturday. And with those prices...they stil pay their amazing staff minimum wage. Shocking and will not return.

The staff are wonderful and super helpful but god the prices are so bad (their boss has recently upped them significantly) I was charged £3 for a lime and soda, unreal.

Real flowers on the tables won my heart. Three Jolly Butchers is a cozy little spot with food drinks, trivia, music, and intimate cute private area(the snug) I had a pleasure to perform at. Helpful friendly staff and the atmosphere you want to come back to.

Didn't have food, but drinks were good. Lovely bar staff. Cute cosy back section.

Had a very bad customer experience. Bar staff seemed to not care. They were too busy on their mobile phones and chatting to each other. When we finally got served, the staff had no manners, not even a thankyou. £7.00 for a pint of beer, which was warm and flat. When we complained the answer was that nobody else had complained. As mentioned, the staff obviously dont care. They might be better changing the industry they work in. It looked like well known customers got a much better service. Don't waste your time with this place as there are plenty of much nicer and friendly pubs in Brighton and Hove.

Drinks are very expensive and the food is awful. Supposedly 🇹🇭 but more like it came out of a microwave. The beef seemed not cooked, tough and stringy. Again, very overpriced for what you get. They advertise showing sky sports on their website but this was not the case, false advertising. Much better places to drink and eat in Brighton. This one is best avoided as when you leave, feels like you been robbed.

Great staff and great food. If you order anything with fries, forget the ketchup and mayo and ask them for a side of massaman sauce - it’s another level. Your welcome !

This is such a sad decline. I'm sure this pub was brilliant once but is now being very badly managed. Staff call time whenever they are bored of serving and beer prices are extortionate - £7 a pint! Avoid.

Saturday before Christmas @16:30. Busy/noisy bar but we were offered a table to dine in the back area, which was quieter. Food cooked fresh to order. All very good. Bar staff & kitchen staff very friendly. Slight mixup with our order but soon sorted. Will definitely return. Highly recommend the Thai food.

Really great bartenders and great atmosphere. I can only recommend ordering the special shot from Jonathan, he mixes it personally for everyone and it's always good!!!

We always went to the jolly Butcher’s on our regular trips to Brighton, we’d pop in most nights for a couple of drinks and maybe some Thai food . We haven’t been to Brighton for a while and we’re looking forward to popping in but when we did we were in for a shock… £7 for a pint in what can only be described as a spit and sawdust pub that is frequented by the post office staff that work next door, absolutely as basic as a pub could be. I was sitting outside and the bar lady opened the door and said “ it’s the least I could do after charging you that “. We were informed that was “ about “ the going rate in Brighton now, we were in Brighton for 5 days and paid nothing like £7 for the rest of our stay. We drank up after one and didn’t go back for food or drink and won’t again. Now I understand why the post office workers are always on strike for more pay.

A small pub just off the main Queens Road towards the North Lanes area. It appears very much a locals type of pub, but we visited twice over a few days and were certainly made welcome, and remembered when we returned. There is a good choice of real and keg type beers, named spirits, and wines including sparkling. Service was very friendly. Prices, well ,typical for the area. There is the main bar, a small 'snug' type bar and outside seating. We did not try the food or the garden. Friendly for the city, with outdoor seating and good beers, what more can you ask.

Friendly bar staff. Small pub, has a few games - kerplunk, trivial pursuit, cranium, dominoes. Have a stack of vinyl records behind the bar that they play; old tunes (beach boys etc) when we were there. Quiz on a Tuesday.

Lovely Thai food authentic at a reasonable price, we piped in for lunch and had lovely Thai food cooked freshly with great beer and very friendly service

Was as busy as I have ever seen it for the Sheffield United game, full of away supporters, everyone happy. The pies are easily the best you'll ever get in a pub, and there is a girl who works here that is so friendly she'll bring them to your table if they aren't quite ready. It's got an old fashioned feel to it I think people like. Peroni, Harvey's and those pies. It's a valuable part of a match day.

Not fine dining but good value for money. Squid was rubbery and potatoes in the massamam curry had that reheated flavour but there were enough good flavours in this meal for me to give it 4 stars, for a tasty lunch in a place with good atmosphere.

We went in randomly and had a fantastic time. Service and locals are so friendly and comical chats. Planning to go again before we leave. The bartender Isabel was so cool. We did not have food because we were full from a large late lunch. But planning to go tomorrow for thier authentic Thai food.

My wife and I visited here on a Friday night in October and enjoyed some fresh pasta with chicken. The restaurant was not overly big but had a nice vibe and also had lovely staff who looked after you, so well worth a visit and we would go back again.

Lovely snug area and top margaritas!

Was greeted by a wonderful Canadian bartender who helped me choose a delicious pint of beer and offered a free tasting. The atmosphere was brilliant and relaxed. We opted for some food which was extremely tasty, I had the Tom Yum soup and sticky ribs which were both absolutely impeccable. Overall it was a fantastic public house with great service and lots to offer. Not too far from the station or the laines. I’ll definitely be back again.

Great place to get a roast dinner

Friendly staff with a laid back atmosphere..and a beautiful hound, yes a dog. It's never crowded, which is both a shame and a bonus...shame because its such a nice place and deserves to be busier. It would be 5* but we've never tried the food...which is Thai Kitchen food.

Visited this bar last night. Was served two aperol spritzers in large gin glasses. Complained to the bar person that the drink had no flavour at all. Was told that "plenty of booze had already been added to the drink". This, in fact, was not the issue. The problem was that the drink had been made up in a glass too big and was so watered down with ice and flat soda water. Was not offered any resolution and so expensive drinks were left on the table. Will not be returning.

Murder Mystery Evening arranged by a hen party company. Not the pubs fault as people choose where they like to socialise but they should have had more sense to allow themselves to be promoted in this way as unfortunately it reflects on the premises.

A nice place to stop for a pint as well as a good place for a curry from a good menu of food. Friendly service and very Brighton.

Went in for a drink and thought that we might return later for a meal off of their Thai menu. On leaving the young bar lady couldn't be bothered to look up from her mobile to say thank you for coming etc. Didn't go back for that meal. In a licensed victuallers course a few years ago, I was told 'any fool can sell the first pint' How true.

SHOCKINGLY RUDE STAFF Felt like a somewhat cult vibe when I walked in. Both barmen were too busy and distracted talking to a woman at the bar than take our order. Waited over 5 mins before he came up to us to ask what we wanted. Terrible attitude and working behaviour, thoroughly disappointed with this place. Also mentioned this in two group chats and got the same sort our comments back. This place needs to train their staff or get new ones. My friend asked if he could charge his phone and they totally dismissed him saying there were no available plugs, when there was many in view. Terrible experience.

Even though the pub has a beautiful view of the traffic filled North Road and the multi story RCP car park opposite, I couldn’t help but feel I’d been mugged in broad daylight when the barman took £13.60 off me in exchange for 2 pints of Peroni…. Absolute rip off!

Visited the pub found by luck as it is reasonably close to the station. The menu is limited but the Beef Massaman and the Chicken Red Curry were both freshly prepared and definitely worthwhile. Don’t go expecting a plush restaurant do go for a decent pint and a very good Thai. Would return if in the area again

£6.80 for a Peroni, surely the most expensive pint of Peroni in Brighton?

Having lived in brighton my whole life to visit a pub on a Sunday afternoon which was very quiet compared to everywhere else and and be charged £12 for 2 pints is a joke. It makes sense why this pub was so quiet compared to everywhere else as it is so dear for no apparent reason. Such a shame as it is a really nice pub but the prices need be looked at for sure

We read some brilliant reviews so decided to give the 3 Jolly Butchers a try. We were not disappointed. We had 4 Thai starters and each dish was both delicious and tender. Staff, atmosphere and service were excellent too. Pub opened usual hours. Thai food served Tuesday to Sunday. Highly recommend.

Small cosy pub with the best Thai cuisine that we have had outside of Thailand. All dishes were beautifully presented,and tasted just as good. The summer rolls as starters were the nicest I have had in the UK , and the mains packed with flavour. It does get busy so would recommend booking ahead so that you don't miss out.

Fabulous service, food and drink!! Really lovely, engaging Manager with great eye contact and eye-smiles! The Thai food was out of this world, truly an unexpected treat after a day in London! Will return to explore this menu further.

No es un buen restaurante, pero tiene una buena relación calidad-precio. El calamar era gomoso y las papas en el curry massamam tenían ese sabor recalentado, pero había suficientes sabores buenos en esta comida para darle 4 estrellas, para un sabroso almuerzo en un lugar con buen ambiente.
