Popped in on a dog walk to try out this place as its mentioned as good hikers pub. But we found it had a weird vibe going. Real locals bars and they/the landlady didn't seem to keen to us come in, got some funny looks... didn't feel welcome. Good beer though and a nice view out the back. Shame on the lacking hospitality.

Just the best! You won't find a better place for your night. Great and interesting people to talk to, lovely staff, if not the best landlady in all the lands. A nice cozy log burner for the cold months too. Nothing better than some great pints by a warm fire any day!

Out of the way Robbies pub, good beer, check opening times before trekking up there!

A small group of us stopped here after a hike. Great little pub. Nice beer garden. The lady working was very nice! Pizza and chips were delicious.

Located in Higher Hurdsfield on the outskirts of Macclesfield. Great views of the sunset over the fields from the back yard. Well kept range of Robinson's beers plus the normal lager and cider. Occasionally basic food will be available - pizza or chicken and chips. Very much depends on how many staff are working and how busy the pub is.

Called in here for a drink over the Easter holiday when walking on the canal. Lovely pub. Staff attentive and friendly.

What a lovely pub with a great landlady. Well worth a visit time and time again. The food is great, beer is fab and the atmosphere is brill. Come and see

Lovely looking pub on the inside, clean, fine hosts and good ale. Only downside if parking is strictly limited.

Good beers, very close to my auntie's house. Only issue was it was hard to tell who works there. Other than that, the atmosphere is nice. And was never too busy, at least while I was there

Lovely bar staff, very helpful, great atmosphere, decent pool table but the Carling wasn't that great

Buena comida y ambiente agradable. El personal es encantador. Nada es demasiado para el chef. Las comidas son de un buen tamaño y muy bien presentada. No hacen justicia a la comida, ya me sentía un poco mal debido al clima cálido. No era una reflexión sobre la comida. El dueño es encantador y nos ofreció consejos sobre sitios a los que ir. Bien merece una visita.

Very friendly atmosphere & accommodating landlady. Only bar snacks or light meals available. I had chicken in the basket which was very filling.
