In my honest opinion, the best Cafe in Macclesfield. Great coffee, cakes and ambiance. Would more would you want?

I visited this cafe for the first time this week with a friend & loved it.The staff were very friendly and helpful,the atmosphere was calm & peaceful & the service was also very good.I walk with a stick & the staff were more than happy to assist me with our drinks,which were delicious & a very reasonable price.There was a wide variety of choice on the drinks menu.The only reason I haven't given the food a star rating is because neither of us had anything to eat although,the cakes & pastries did look very nice! I will definitely make a return visit & would definitely recommend. N.B.Just as a side note,there is some amazing artwork on show which is also available for purchase.I could have spent a fortune!!

The only thing I am disappointed about with this cafe, is that I've never been in there before! It was a really nice change to not eat meat and also have the added bonus of it being dog friendly. The staff all seemed really nice and the atmosphere was really calming after a hectic bit of shopping! I know Wilma the dog enjoyed a snooze as well whilst we all ate!

The best takeaway coffee in town! Served in really cute cups… can’t recommend enough for a pre work pick me up! I ordered a oat milk flat white.

Probably, the best coffee place in Macclesfield. Cozy atmosphere and great service. Also, there is a stand with lovely postcards, posters and their own merchandise.

(Somehow managed to post this on the Louver Museum skip the queue guided tour with Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa!!) Ashamedly not been here for a while and visited twice in the last few weeks. It's a quiet little place on Chestergate but really well set out with artwork and cards for sale. Both had the veggie brek, no Halloumi so had Mozzarella instead. Really delicious, wholesome food. Nice coffee and a tea, £20 total. Good value.

Loved this place. Good teas and coffees and very nice vibe as and friendly staff. Really appreciated the Pride flags in the window and entrance. There’s craft stuff too look too.

Visited for the first time and wish I'd been sooner. I'd been putting it off as there aren't a massive range of lunch options and mostly toasties or sandwiches and I know vegan cheese can be hit and miss. So glad I gave it a go and was very impressed. Would highly recommend The Pizza One toastie.

Cool atmosphere, very nicely decorated, and the drinks are amazing ( I would recommend the oreo milkshake).

I've been on the look out for a local coffee shop for myself and this is perfect. Lounge atmosphere, delicious coffee and vegan friendly food. I had a chocolate guiness cake which I'm sure was vegan and you wouldn't of guessed from the taste. Plus, it's dog friendly which makes it even better!

Nice casual cafe. Good food, good service. Its vegan friendly, nice toasties and tea cakes. Also run some craft workshops in the evenings. Well worth a visit.

Bit disappointing; must have been a flat day for everyone as some of the reviews have been great, which prompted us to try it .... food was a tad lacking in punch & presentation so we'll be giving this a miss in the future ....

Lovely little Café with super friendly staff that are very welcoming to people and dogs alike. The food/drink menu is fantastic and has great flavours for all diet types. It's absolutely worth supporting local cafés when turning quality is as grand as this.

Stop the press. This is a must place to visit for vegans and non-vegans alike. I was wandering around Macclesfield with a couple of hours to kill looking for somewhere with vegan food. Stumbled on this cafe that looked interesting. Discovered a whole range of great tasting vegan options including breakfast, lunch, coffees & cakes. I had avocado toast and a peanut butter cake. Super comfy seating & friendly staff. If you are vegan it is worth coming to Macclesfield just to try this cafe. You won't be disappointed.

Lovely little cafe, quick & friendly service and tasty food and drinks. Came in for coffee and toast with my wife and wasn't disappointed :) Many independent cafes in Macc don't seem to be open until 9am so if you're looking for somewhere early then Monocle is your place.

Popped in here today not realising it had recently changed hands. Great selection of food, many/most of the items can be made vegan. The cookies are ridiculous (in a good way) - my son had a Biscoff one but couldn't finish it so I had to help him 😁 Lots going on in that cookie - a real treat. Also lovely art on the walls, available to buy. Won't be our last visit, certainly.

The food was incredible, the coffee was poured with fantastic latte art and the relaxing music with ambient lights, made for a very enjoyable experience.

The Guinness Cake was to die for! Went in for lunch and the food was amazing, Ash and Jim were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be making more visits here, got to try the Beetroot Latte next!

Awesome cafe with delicious savoury brunch/lunch options and brilliant coffee & sweet treats. Run by two amazing humans who are friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The Deli also hosts various events throughout the year which are always fun!

Popped in today after being told that the Buffalo Cauliflower Sandwich was worth visiting for by my Barber – I am neither a vegan nor vegetarian but do have at least 2 meat free days a week. Short on time on my lunch, I popped in and asked for one to take out. The guy that served me was extremely polite, and also suggested I take a seat as it would be around 5 minutes before it was ready. Once he prepared it, he brought it over to me which I found a nice touch! Not like other places that expect you to go and collect from the counter. I got back to the office and sat at my desk, opened the bag and took out the napkin, and then the sandwich wrapped in foil – as I had not seen this before, I was quite nervous as to what it would look like – I was immediately appeased upon the ‘reveal’ – this looked amazing (to the point one of my colleagues questioned what I had and said it made her lunch look lame! Taste – amazing! Just the right heat and the cauliflower was tender enough to not feel I was eating cauliflower – salad was fresh, and the crispy onions gave a further crunch to the red onion which was not overpowering. It was a tad messy to eat (I must say, this was at my desk, if it was at a table it would have been a lot easier!) but I will definitely be ordering another! Service was faultless and the sandwich left little space in my stomach BUT I would have eaten another if I could! Highly recommend!

Great little deli with a tasty, reasonably priced veggie/vegan friendly menu. A small business that supports other small businesses and artists, with items from those businesses and artists available in store. 10000% would recommend for some good vibes.

Never has Cauliflower tasted so good! Their Bufflo Cauliflower is amazing. Great coffee and cake too.

I presume due to the Covid situation, there were fewer tables than I'd imagined on passing previously. There was stool against the wall between the main room and the toilet which was suitable as I just needed a sit down after a long walk. Friendly service and a good choice of cake. I went for the peanut covered Brownie, only two pieces left so a little drier than you'd want. Coffee was good. WiFi worked well, no forms just the password. Half of the main room is shared with a card shop and this is a good idea that is becoming more and more popular. Definitely call in again, not sure why I haven't visited previously.

Nice and clean and it made a change to have something on toast with the option of one or two slices of toast. I had what I wanted and didn't feel over faced.

We had just visited a furniture shop across the road and called into the Monocle Deli for lunch. We weren't disappointed: service was prompt and friendly and our sandwiches were delicious, made with wonderfully fresh granary bread. This was definitely a tremendous lunch!

You must visit The Monocle if you are in Macc. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The food is wonderful offering a great variety. I love the salad bowl, which includes homemade interesting goodies like different beans and dips. There is a always a range of cakes which are irresistible too, for example squidgy peanut butter brownie.

Looking for a dry place on a wet day, we found the monocle, nothing outstanding to look at but the toasted sandwiches were exceptional. Would recommend to anyone for a lunch or light snack.

Lovely cafe, they have nice artwork on the walls, do beautiful Panini's and coffee. A shame they dont do food on mondays but they still do cakes and coffees. they have a loyalty card for hot drink purchases and also a meal deal for lunch, good value and great food.

This has become my Mum's favourite place for coffee when she visits me in Macclesfield, which is surprising as it has quite a cool vibe. The coffee is excellent and the food, which we have yet to try, looks good too. The staff are very friendly and the place has a lovely, warm atmosphere. Give the chains a miss and head here instead!

Lovely spot of lunch, I had the beef, cheese and chutney panini, and my partner had the pulled pork. My child had a ham bap. So, ham was decent, not that cheap 10 slices for a quid, my beef was sooo soft and tasty, it melted in my mouth. My partner who’s really fussy loves the pulled pork. The food came quickly, it was extremely tasty, very fresh, and well priced. The staff were very pleasant. I felt like it was a little tight for room, and everyone was on top of one another, but hey... they were busy, and that’s no bad thing, it’s just ME, I like a bit more room.

This cafe has never let us down. The food served is wholesome & freshly made; no rubbish in sight! There's comfort food & healthy food. - The cakes are awesome (some stunning looking show stoppers!) This is my favourite cafe in Macclesfield. Takes me back to the 60’s, very quirky with interesting art on the walls. The food is very good. Fantastic mixed salads, good quality bread with a tasty choice of fillings. My favourite is the homemade hummus, especially the beetroot one. Cakes are gorgeous also. This is a proper cafe, comfy, good food and good service.

Tuve un 'bocadillo' consta de un estilo queso y zanahoria, ya que quería algo que no tienes en la calle de tiendas de café y sabía fantástico.Recibí una cálida bienvenida y un buen servicio con el sandwich fresco.Mi única queja es que la niebla realmente ventanas con condensación mucho durante el invierno, lo que hizo que el lugar se vea poco atractiva, por favor ignorar este ya merece la pena una visita.

Cuando estoy en la ciudad me pare siempre por el Monocle, ya sea para tomar una taza de café (la mejor propuesta oficial, ¡sin duda! ) o para reunirse con amigos para un almuerzo liviano (ensaladeras que son excelentes. Tan sabroso! ). El personal es amable, el ambiente es animado, y siempre hay nuevas obras de arte en las paredes, o nuevos zines y publicaciones sobre las rejillas para examinar. También venden tarjetas y regalos pequeños, la mayoría de los artistas locales. La cafetería tiene un verdadero sentimiento de comunidad y es un lugar encantador para pasar un rato, sólo para ver por el mundo.

Llamado recientemente como necesitaba comer un bocado. De ventanas y al entrar en un ambiente sin aire. El café está bastante concurrido con gente joven y la comida es bastante saludable y sabroso. Pero las sillas son de madera. (no quiero estar? ). No hay sonrisas de bienvenida y la mesa necesitaba limpiar, este lugar podría ser mejor. Un ventilador en algún sitio y una sonrisa o dos cojines bastaría, pero uno tiene la impresión de esta pareja joven quizás no se molestó. Lástima.

I often visit this place and it's consistently great! It's a lovely quirky little place with local art work hung on the walls, it has a really friendly feel and the owners are always welcoming.The food is mainly sandwiches / paninis and soups etc but they do the most amazing platter of homemade humus, olives, beans and pitta breads for only £6.95.A great little cosy place, definitely worth a visit

Homemade really good food with vegan options. Mel (one of the owners/cooks) goes out of her way to accommodate requests - chocolate milkshakes are gorgeous!Artwork on the walls is by local artists so changes regularly. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with good music. Visitors are a full range from young people, families, friends and older people - it really is in the hub of the community.

Great quality food and generous porshens. It is slightly expensive (over £5 for a sandwich) but worth it.

My second time visiting the monocle deli and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and was served quickly and present well by very friendly well mannered staff. The coffees were also very well done. I would strong recommend this deli to all.

Went for tea and cake and was not disappointed. The cakes were good homemade and a generous pot of tea and the bill very reasonable. One of us had the roast beef panini which was excellent.

We stopped here for a coffee while shopping. Bright cheerful place and the leather chesterfield in the window was ideal for relaxing over coffee & teacakes and watching the world go by. Books to browse as well.Very good coffee & teacakes at a reasonable price, cheerful staff.

I have never been in until last week. I got caught out by the weather so I popped in for a cup of tea. However I couldn't resist a cake to go with it as they all looked so nice. I will try it again for lunch one day.

I've walked past The Monocle Deli on a number of occasions and finally got to eat here this weekend. Such a cute little cafe with an excellent menu selection. I didn't know where to start as it all sounded amazing. Awesome selection of homemade cakes too. The service was friendly and the prices were reasonable. I'll definitely be retuning to check out more items on the menu.
