Had a lovely meal . Warm and friendly would definately recommend My husband had a roast dinner and I had cheese and onion pie was lovely

We booked in for lunch on 4th April, 12.30, I had the plate meat pie with chips and mushy peas and gravy came in a gravy boat which was great cos then I could have as much or as little as I wanted, my husband had the lasagne with chips and lettuce and tomatoes, both meals were amazing, piping hot and plentiful, we have visited here before and we will definitely be coming again, can't express how good this restaurant is so just come and try it for yourselves. Great food, great staff and a lovely atmosphere. Cooked fresh, quality ingredients to order with a smile! Clean, and great decor since the refurb - this was recommended to us by several people and did not disappoint!

Wonderful. Home-made food and plenty of it. Made sure I had room for a pudding though lol.

Went for mother's day meal, 5 people and everything fresh and came nice and hot, everything was lovely and the staff was great..

Found this on maps and decided to try it out, so glad I did, what a gem, from the staff, to the ambiance and food, all 5 stars. My fav brunch place now. Pity it's such a small space which on busier days wont be easy to get a table. Has a lovely outside beer garden for the sunny days.

Food is first class this is a proper cafe. The atmosphere in here is brilliant with some nice music to compliment (not loud). Staff are just lovely couldn’t say a bad thing about them. Polite and efficient. Two weeks of working up this way has been a pleasure to have a nice breakfast. There’s more than just breakfast here so just pop down and check it out.

Had a buffet for 17 people yesterday but there was more than enough for at least 20. There was a good selection and something to suit everyones taste.

Best breaky in town! Had the famous Stallion a few times now and it never fails. Lovely staff and service too.

We had a baby shower here on Sunday, it was only suppose to be a small thing when we booked but ended up being bigger than expected. Lorraine was so helpful leaving the marque up outside for us changing things on the buffet for more stuff we liked. Nothing was to much trouble, would recommend to anyone as it was really reasonable price wise.

Lunch with mum is always a treat, this was our first visit, and we will certainly be visiting again, as we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Very noisy when we visited on a Saturday evening for a family get together. Not my cup of tea but guess if you are looking for a lively pub then it fits the bill.

Food delicious, my son loved the lamb shank, I enjoyed my scampi, portion sizes are massive. To top it off they did my son's favourite dessert, sticky toffee pudding, he finished the lot, even said it was better than the one he'd had at Gordon Ramsay's restaurant. You cant get a better review than that !! We'll be back 👍😃

Having received gift vouchers from my sister for Christmas, thought I'd better get them used, we booked a table which is recommended because it's always busy and not surprised as it was fabulous, we got a lovely warm welcome on arrival, everything lovely and clean, my husband had the roast chicken dinner and I had homemade lasagne, I didn't want salad but asked for coleslaw which I got and chips are served with it as well ( have had to pay extra for chips in other eateries) everything was piping hot and plates were hot too, both meals were really tasty and very enjoyable, can't praise Michael the chef enough, presentation was spot on and he was very organised, knew what he was doing, he's got a brilliant assistant working along side of him as well, all other members of staff were very efficient and I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant, if anyone needs a gift idea then buy vouchers for here cos you certainly won't be disappointed, will be back soon 🤗 Kath and Harold

Went before they renovated it recently and food was not bad,been since reopening food was just bland.staff and décor where nice.will not be going again!

I've never had Liver & Onions in the form of a PUREE before!!!!!, it tasted OK but looked like s..., (not very nice or appetising.) Won't be returning. Had a sandwich when I got home, to fill me up and add a bit of roughage.

We have been going most Saturdays for a couple of years now . Love love love 💕 this place. They closed for a short while due to family needing them. However Lorraine and Mik have opened again and not a corner has been cut. The stables breakfast is great value for money as are most things on the menu. Kids welcome . Soft and alcoholic drinks available. Pay a visit

Delicious home cooked meals, breakfast is superb and generous. Staff are great and the service is fabulous. Evening meals served three days a week. Highly recommended.

Would highly recommend Th'Owd Stables! I'd heard good things and read good reviews so was expecting it to be good. Expectations were blown through the roof! Michael is sooo welcoming, attentive and funny too! The ladies too are very nice (sorry I didn't catch your names) We were made to feel very comfortable and like nothing would be too much. The food was top notch and reasonably priced, even when we chopped and changed a few items (fussy eaters). When the rack of ribs came out, it was a 'Woah!' moment, but my ever growing 14 year old smashed through them. Everything from start to finish was great and we will definitely be back.

A very clean & tidy restaurant. Their Hungry Horse breakfast is delicious. Great coffee too. One of our favourite places to go for breakfast. Good food at great prices.

Went for lunch, when we arrived the place was very nice and clean, there was a few tables seated. On arrival we were meet by a member of staff who quickly seated us in full view of the kitchen. Whilst we looked over the the menu which was put together by cello tape we ordered drinks, in the mean time we were watching the cook who I think was the owner cook his "fresh" ingredients in the microwave!!! Every thing from vegetables, potatoes, bacon, sausage and even my chargrilled chicken burger that I had ordered!!! As we sat and waiting for our food to be plated I was feeling physically sick. When the waitress placed the food in front of me we just smiled with disbelief. As a head chef of a fresh food restaurant I placed the burger to one side and started to eat my chips. Within 5 minutes the cook came over to our table and asked if everything was ok with my burger, my response was - I do not appreciate watching frozen chicken being microwaved. As embarrassing as it was he still tried to convince me that it was okay to cook chicken this way, as the chicken was bought in frozen from bookers!!!

I have visited this cafe/bar several times over summer as it has a great sitting out area. The food is good and reasonably priced. My only criticism is when the boss is not there the staff are not on the ball, I nearly left and went somewhere else as it took 30 minutes to be attended to.

We have been many Saturdays for breakfast always excellent. And now they are opening ebpvenings Tue wed Thursday. 5-9 Can't wait. Recommend any of the breakfasts never disappoints.

Came here on a nice sunny day, lovely to sit outside. The food is reasonably priced and filling. Good quality. I think that one of the staff members was training, but we all have to learn somewhere :-)

This was Are first visit to this family run restaurant and pub and what a great place. The restaurant area was lovely and clean and the atmosphere was very friendly, they have a great choice on their menu from Breakfast, Light Bites, Hot and Cold Sandwiches, Soup and roll. They also have a good choice of Burgers, Jacket Potatoes, Paninis. It is also licensed to sell alcohol and they have a good choice in Beers, Largers and Wine.
