Finch Bakery in Hyndburn

We ordered a dessert table for our wedding. 250 mixture of brownies and blondies, which was the perfect amount. There were so many dessert options to choose from, and finch bakery answered any questions we had.

Disappointed with the delivery. Whilst Finch use DPD. Probably a DPD issue. The brownies didn't end up at where I asked them to be delivered. No reason why. Item then dropped at a post office. Not a local one. Finch bakery response was to show me a photo of item where it should be delivered and attempted. No reason given why item wasnt delivered. Would have liked at the very least an apology. This was a gift for some students

Very dry and over priced, Not what I expected.

Today we were in Selfridges at the Trafford Centre. My son went to buy a cheese cake. I saw all the brownies, cookies and cookie pies made by yourselves. I got the last milk chocolate cookie from your range for my youngest son. It was broken in half so the lovely guy who served us did it for half price. Gave my son one half, he took a bite and didn't touch it after that. I myself tried the second half of the cookie. Now I know why he wasn't eating the rest of his. I'm a big cookie lover and tried lots of cookies from many bakers. I'm sorry to say that your cookie was the worst cookie I've ever tried. It's was dry, no taste, the chocolate had no taste and tasted like it wasn't baked properly.

Top quality brownies and blondies

Ordered a box online. So disappointed. These are just like the little shop bought brownies you get in a tub at the supermarket, or worse. They are not homemade tasting at all - and the huge ingredient list that comes in the box tells you they are not. (Unless bottles of E numbers are kept in their kitchen cupboards!). Really sickly sweet - some were more of a crumbly fudge or coconut ice type texture than a cake. I would not buy again. Waste of money

Having a dessert table instead of a wedding cake was one of the best decisions we made!! Not only did the blondies and brownies go down a storm on the evening, guests are still raving about them (3 weeks later!) They were absolutely delicious and full of flavour. The cherry bakewell blondie was a firm favourite by our guests and the salted caramel brownie was particularly divine. We ordered 3 trays of brownies and 2 trays of blondies from the ‘no frills’ dessert table package. Communication was fast and efficient when placing the order - they were very accommodating when we changed from using the postal service to collection. Lovely experience in the store when collecting the items; great customer service with a warm and friendly welcome. One of the members of staff even helped me carry it all to my car which was greatly appreciated. So if you’re looking for something a little bit different for your event, party or wedding, we can’t recommend a Finch dessert table enough! (And we’ll be ordering again for future kids parties!)

Oh my YUM!!! the biscoff brownie was (huge for one) and so so moist and yummy, the staff were lovely too!!

The cakes never look the same as they do online or from the photos next to what you’ve ordered. I’ve been ordering from Finch website for years now and the cakes have progressively gotten worse. The cakes are never consistent. Sometimes the ones with caramel arrive with barely any in, the brownies no longer even have the chocolate chips in as shown on the pics when you order. Many items are tasteless. It’s the end of an era for me, I won’t be ordering again.

We came across Finch Bakery back during the first lockdown and once we were able to travel finally and visit family (we live in Bristol), we made sure that we stopped by to load up on some yummy treats. We have been back every time since, and have also ordered several times for postal delivery on birthdays and for friends which have always been well received! We thought then that it made complete sense when we saw that Finch Bakery were offering dessert tables, to make sure we booked them in for our wedding! We ordered a dessert table consisting of 250 brownies and it was honestly one of the best ideas we had for it. The delivery arrived exactly when it was meant to and everything was packaged so nicely! The brownies themselves were absolutely stunning and sooo delicious! We honestly had so many compliments on them throughout the evening as the guests just loved them and most guests made sure they took a few home to enjoy the next day! When seeing friends for the first time after the wedding, they've brought up again how good the brownies were and said they'll be sure to order some online. Amazing customer service from start to finish! Thanks so much guys!! 💕💕💕

My son absolutely loves this place, we spent £35 easier but by far the best bakery in the area, staff friendly and products are amazing, only downside is when ive been after 1-2pm sometimes not alot left.

Honestly, bang average, maybe below average to be honest. Heard loads of hype about finch bakery, the stories about people queuing round the corner to get their hands on these delicious cakes and sadly it didn’t live up to the hype. Cake jar was dry and didn’t really taste of anything…honestly had better cake from the super market. The salted caramel brownie again didn’t really taste of anything and was soo dry, thank god for the salted caramel syrup and a large cup of tea because without them I’d still be trying to swallow it now. I feel this is more clever marketing and social media influence rather than good baking. Hey, we tried it, it didn’t live up to the hype, won’t be going back.

What's not to love! Bright, vibrant and clean shop in Great Harwood. So hard to choose which amazing sweet delight to pick! Delicious chocolate orange blondie, wish l had bought more!! Friendly welcome too, which makes a difference.

We’ve just visited the store on a glorious Saturday afternoon, welcomed by the lovely Namrah and a colleague. Two very pleasant young ladies who provided an impeccable service. We came for a blondie and left with 6! The treats are magical…full of flavour and moreish. Absolutely love this place and the one in Blackburn too. So glad you now serve coffee too. The prices are extremely reasonable. Will be back again soon, very soon!

When you step into the shop it feels like you are in heaven. The brownies/blondies/jars etc all look awesome. It really is difficult going in and limiting yourself to buying an approprite amount. Been twice now and on both occassions I bought gift boxes, once for Ramadan and once for Eid. The boxes went down very well indeed. It's great how the bakery are very clear on how they can/can't cater for specific diets. It does help that they are very knowledgeable. Would definitely keep visiting but as I am eating relatively healthy I do limit purchases

Ordered the 12 taster box for my fiance. Everyone I've tried so far have been amazing. The cookie dough was perfectly cooked. Will definitely be ordering again.

I had the caramel cornflake cup, it was incredibly well. Couldn't eat, best but was the chocolate on top. Hubby had sticky toffee cup cake, despite enjoying it he complained of too much oil. X

I've just received my order and everything arrived in one piece. All the cakes and brownies are so much more bigger in person which is a plus! I've already tried thr Nutella cake and it tastes amazing.

The cupcakes from here come from heaven, I'm sure of it. The portion sizes are big, so they last a few days. Every time we go they have a different variety of cakes/brownies/cookies etc

It was my first time here fabulous bakery especially the cup cakes.

I ordered a box of mixed brownies online because they look absolutly stunning! To my dismay when opening the box I was so dissapointed that a couple of them were not the correct ones, and they just didn’t have that sparkle that the picture online had. So I contacts the bakery via social media to let them know my issue and the response I got was “I don’t know why the cherry Bakewell isn’t decorated” grated I only paid £1:50 per peice but the whole box cost me over £20! I asked for a refund or the correct brownie to be sent out and just they just gave me and email and said ask here. Which really annoyed me and for the sake of £1:50 I couldn’t really be bothered. But I could be bothered to write this review. We decided to keep and eat the brownies but again I can’t tell you how disappointing they are. The blackberry crumble blondie tastes of nothing and was so dry because it was an end peice, so we’re a lot of the other ones to be honest and I hate end peices! I dunno they were just very dissapoiting and if you can’t be bothered to put some icing and a cherry one the Bakewell blondie why send it out?

I seldom revisit or revise my reviews; nonetheless, my recent encounter at Finch Bakery was a stark contrast to my initial, less-than-stellar experience. I'm truly delighted I gave them a second chance, with a special shout-out to the lady who was on duty Friday evening. Her friendly demeanor, warm welcome, and evident commitment to supporting a local customer has won me over.

I go to Finch Bakery for their ice-cream ( which is DELICIOUS ). I have bought cakes ( but ONLY for my lovely lady Audrey and my step daughter Sharon). I haven't heard ANY complaints from them.

I've been a finch fan for many years and yesterday finally took a trip to the shop which was an hours drive. We arrived at just before noon and the shop was well stocked with a variety of baked goods. I purchased a variety of items and was very pleased with the value for money. The girl behind the counter was very pleasant and friendly which was also a bonus. Having eaten a couple of the goodies already I am definitely even more hooked and hope to travel to the shop again soon!

I specifically asked for whatever had been fresh today, she looked at me funny and pointed to a stall. The cupcake were not fresh and at £6.80 for 3 you’d expect it to be 🤦‍♀️. I really hoped for better.

Wrong order ment to be 3 raspberry and white chocolate brownies but got 2 brownies and 1 blonde also bagging up a salted caramel and a double chocolate is not good at all as someone didn’t like caramel won’t eat the double chocolate as it’s got onto it for the sake of a bag really

Went to finch bakery today 13/02/2023 and I arrived at 10.26 am door was open lights was on so one can perfectly assume that it was open . I could hear people talking in the back room and saw a bell to ring .I rang the bell and this grumpy girl we don’t open until 10.30 erm 🫤 the door was open lights on safe to presume you was open ? There’s a closed sign on the door erm well I didn’t see it by this time is was 3 mins until opening time so I asked well is she going to serve me she did so under duress and made it known she was not happy that I had arrived 4 min early with her manner and they way she served me . I could understand if I had arrived half a hour early but 3 min come on. I always pop in when I have meetings for a few cakes so people can enjoy a treat but this has put me right off going again . Yes the cakes are good but the customer service delivery is shocking to say the least . Will I go again? No probably not I just don’t need that kind of service when I chose to shop there

I have visited Finch Bakery a number of times over the years after discovering them on Instagram back in 2018, and have always loved going. I always go for the brownies/blondies as I’m not a massive lover of cake anyway but these are always delicious and never dry. I have also had a few postal deliveries and again these have always been really tasty and packaged very nicely. However, I visited today and was not happy with the customer service I received as the girl who served me was really grumpy, rolled her eyes when I asked for a number of different items and walked away as I was speaking. This is a real shame as it kind of puts me off going again! There wasn’t even a big queue so it’s not like they were trying to get through everybody quickly! I get how everyone has an ‘off’ day but not even one smile was given to me. It was the same to the couple in front of me too. This is really disappointing as I remember the novelty of going was (as well as coming away with loads of good bakes) always having a laugh inside the shop, being greeted and staff always being really helpful, especially Tessa, Lauren and Rachel with all their live Instagrams and it was just chaos but really enjoyable and it was an experience in itself! Obviously I get how much the shop has expanded but I don’t see it as enjoyable anymore, which is a shame. I kind of had a similar experience in the Manchester shop too, staff just not looking happy to be there. I will definitely continue to order online but I don’t think I’ll be visiting a shop again.

We were staying in the area and a local told us that this was the place to visit. What a great high street Great Harwood has. The shop is great visually and the stock was plentiful. My daughter likes to bake so we bought the cook book along with several items to try. Definitely worth a visit although they also post out if you’re not nearby.

I just don’t get the hype. The cakes are drier than their 1 star hygiene Star rating. We have vistas here on a few occasions and tried different things, the blondes are nice, the brownies aren’t the best and the less said about the cake the better.

Having the shop's website popping up on Facebook we decided to take a trip there for a ride out even though it is 30 miles away from where we live. We were not disappointed. The cakes are marvellous and the staff friendly and helpful. We bought a mixed selection and couldn't resist them so ate one each in the car. Not being greedy, though, we did manage to curb temptation and bring some home. They also sell a selection of pies so we had one of those too. Well worth a visit.

I love this bakery. I’ve tried it all from the cupcake to the celebration cakes. Soft sponge and buttercream to die for. Staff always friendly and welcoming.

Only the second time I’ve purchased cake jars online and the quality has certainly deteriorated,. The cake or crumbs were dry, with a small amount of jam and a scraping of buttercream round the sides of the jar.

I have buy dying to visit the shop for so long but never been close enough, we live over 2 hours away. Once postal boxes came I ordered the brownie and blonde box and two sticky toffee cake jars. I must say the cake jars were dry cake smothered with buttercream and the toffee, it was very underwhelming and for the price I wouldn’t order again. I normally love brownies but preferred the blondies, my kids love when I do brownies but one tryed one and didn’t like them or eat anymore. They were ok but I was expecting more from all the hype. I did order a selection box one that had one of all flavours that was good to try the different ones but I probably wouldn’t order again.

I ordered postal brownies and I messed up the delivery address (wrong post code!). Despite it being my error Molly was so helpful, and went out of her way to ensure that my Dad got his birthday brownies, thankyou so much Finch Bakery! He tells me that they were amazing! Wonderful customer service and fabulous brownies. 100% recommend and will definitely use again.

I had to cancel an order for my graduation next week due to change of plans and unable to collect a cake, so Lauren very kindly gifted my £20 deposit as a voucher for an online order. That alone is worth 5* as I don’t know of any other business who would. Can’t wait to order for the special occasion!! ♥️

Ordered from Finch Bakery’s website for an early birthday treat for myself. Ordered the mixed brownie and blondie box (nut free). Arrived next day, so super speedy delivery. Such amazing value for money at only £15.50 for 12 different slices. Will 100% be ordering again, would recommend to anyone as a treat to yourself or others! :)

Too much choice. Super staff and a big thank you to the Finch ladies who came out into the shop and had a photo with my grandaughters visiting from Stoke, one of who is baking their way through the book. Lots of goodies going home with them

I’ve always been obsessed with Finch Bakery from the moment I took a bite of a Cherry B cupcake yeeeears ago, soooo tasty. However I then decided to go Vegan, which meant I could no longer eat Finch B….. until now…..! The VEGAN treat box is amazing!! There is absolutely no excuse for anyone because the brownies are still fantastic, absolutely no taste or texture lost. Highly impressed. It is the vegan lotus biscoff rocky road though that now has my heart… oh my goodness AMAZING! Thanks finch b, please never stop making and aiming high with your vegan goodies! xx

So it’s safe to say since moving locally I go here a lot. In fact .... all the time! Finch reopening was just the best thing ever. It is now a tourist destination in its own right! Every say their cakes are different. They are so good! The detail that goes into these cakes are absolutely amazing. The taste is incredible and always baked perfectly !! I love how they are all displayed in counters and the interior of the building is so cool! The twins are becoming baking idols in their own right ! Their social media is incredible, they’ve just brought out a book and they are just genuine , honest and down to earth people who love to bake. Girls just keep what you are doing, as you do it so well! Thank you for making me smile every week with my happy trip to the bakery !! I’ll even queue in the rain!!

I've only ever ordered the blondies for delivery - cherry bakewell, lemon curd and apple pie are outstanding! Delivery is always quick and products arrive in good condition and in great packaging. Would love to visit in person one day!

Its just all sweet sweet sweet, chocolate chocolate chocolate. The girls certainly know how to bake but its just alot of the same stuff. You need something like fruit or savouries to break it up a bit. I found everything was reasonably priced and large portions took me 4 attempts to eat one cookie 🍪

This place is amazing the creations these bakers come up with are second to none. There Harry potters of the bakery world and am never disappointed. I went at the weekend to get some treats for my daughter. I tell you my willpower is strong but if I wasn't on my diet and I was wanting to have pure indulgence. These guys are the best ❤️❤️❤️

I received a gift of Finch Bakery cake slices. They were well packaged, and just right to fit through my letterbox. More importantly they taste exceptional, really good. Overall very good indeed.

Finch bakery has never disappointed! Usually we drive down to the shop but as it’s closed due to covid we have been buying online treats to keep us going through lockdown! I have never had a brownie better than finch bakery’s, and the lotus Biscoff blondies are out of this world!!! Also tried the halal rocky road a few weeks ago and it was phenomenal! Will continue to order online but I can’t wait to visit the new shop! The twin girls who own it are always so lovely and helpful and they deserve all this success!

Finally got round to posting a review about the 'Classic Mix Box'. They tasted fantastic. All the girls recieved a box through the post and everyone enjoyed them. I have since bought some more and just the same, consistently fantastic and freeze well. Great present for someone.

Because o an accident my grand daughter treated me to a pack of your chocolate brownies and these were the best I’ve tasted. Three week after leaving hospital my wife suffered a similar accident and landed in hospital but she had the misfortune of having to go to a halfway house to recuperate, unfortunately she then got Covid so had to isolate which added an extra fortnight recovering . I then thought I would cheer her up an greeted her to a pack which she’s enjoying. The service you give is wonderful and I would definitely use you again..

I've been wanting to try their stuff for sooo long, I placed an order for a box of goodies the other day (which honestly seemed expensive but I thought it'd be worth it) and honestly I was sooo disappointed:( Both the cookies and the cake jar were so so dry and almost stale and the brownies tasted like any old brownie you'd buy at the supermarket, not that fresh homemade brownie taste and definitely not tasty:( Was expecting such big things as they have such a huge following and their cakes look beautiful, but if you're thinking of ordering a postal box id advise against it.. there are so many smaller businesses out there with much better quality and better tasting treats for much cheaper
