The best pub grub in the whole of Doncaster! The chips are phenomenal! ...better than chippy chips! The rest of the food is amazing too and the portion sizes very good. Staff extremely friendly and helpful and prices spot on. Thank you

We have just had the most amazing Sunday lunch at Thornhurst Manor. The food was fabulous - prawn cocktail, roast pork with all the trimmings and treacle sponge with custard - and the staff are friendly yet professional. We most certainly would go there again, we could not fault it.

I had my wedding here just a couple of days ago, Carly at Thornhurst did nothing but put me at ease the whole time from the very first day of booking right until my wedding day. Nothing was any trouble whatever I wanted she made possible. The day went so smoothly and I could not of had that without Carly. The whole venue is absolutely stunning and the room decor and the staff are amazing! The food and the catering for the staff was also fantastic! All the food came out in good time, and tasted absolutely amazing! I honestly couldn’t fault anything the best day ever and I would like to give a massive thank you to Thornhurst for the best wedding that they helped make happen.

9 of us adults just been to Thornhurst Manor Golf Club for the 1st time for our mums surprise bday dinner ( after hearing good reviews) well we wasnt dissapointed at all , the portiions were huge,tasty and well presented . Lovely place, friendly staff particularly Sarah and Elle who were our waitresses. Very accommodating, fitted us in lastminute, party of 10!! Huge portions, piping hot and amazing value. Would highly recommend a visit you will not be disappointed. Will definitely be returning.

Visited this evening for afternoon tea for my mums birthday, served by Sarah and Bev both were exceptional and couldn't do enough for us. Visited this Pub for a meal with a Friend, very dissapointed, Misleading Customer Service Information and lack of information with my Main Meal food order, misleading and inaccurate Menu Item. Upon ordering the Steak Pie Meal with Seasonal Vegetables and Chips for £13.10, the Steak Pie meal with Chips was served to me with Garden Peas, and not with one or more vegetables as written in the Menu for the Meal (as Seasonal Vegetables), I spoke to the Waitress who brought the Meal to me, upon returning she said the mixed vegetables were out of stock and were not being delivered until tomorrow (on the Sunday), upon speaking to the Manager, they said that the Menu was stated incorrectly and the Steak Pie Meal had always being served with Garden peas only (not Seasonal Vegetables) regardless of the Age of the Menu and I should of being informed of this when about to buy my meal by the Staff Member, in that the meal comes with Garden Peas only, to which I was not informed by the Staff Member. I mentioned that £13.10 for the Garden peas with the Chips and Steak Pie was a high price for this type of Meal, compared to having the Seasonal Vegetables with the Meal, to which it was said to me that most of the Customers thought this situation and this Price was fine. I and my Friend chose to buy no further Item, in regards to Drinks and Desserts and left the Pub. As a previous regular customer returning to the Pub for a Meal after some time with my Friend, I wouldn't wish somebody else to have my experience, therefore it is with dissapointment that I would not recommend this establishment anymore due to my own personal experience. No offer of discretionary or complimentary Financial refund of any level was offered in the replies that I received to my complaint, it was said that the inaccuracy on this Menu could not be changed in any temporary or permanent Format, in regards to the known misleading information for this Meal Item.

First of all I must admit I’m absolutely rubbish at leaving reviews. However, after seeing the absolute nonsense left by ‘Lynne H’ about Thornhurst Manor I have to set this story straight ! First of all Tripadvisor is supposed to be used as a platform to let others know about your experience … which makes me wonder when someone has only been to have a look and hasn’t even had an experience yet can comment or even predict what their special day will be like ! This venue is absolutely stunning , all the rooms they offer are beautiful and customer service is Outstanding ! I have the most amazing parents but they have the highest standards imaginable and therefore planning their 50th Wedding Anniversary was a challenge ! However, everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish, the marquee was absolutely stunning , gardens outstanding and staff were amazing it honestly was the BEST day ever and this was backed up by our 130 guests who have since also booked numerous parties at this venue after attending our party! I can’t comment on the Port a loos as we chose not to use them as that is a personal preference and as these are taken care of by an outside agency we chose to stick to using The toilets at Thornhurst as we knew we could trust everything about Thornhurst. Like ‘Lynne H’ I’m happy to provide our outstanding pictures of this venue to back up the absolute amazing venue Thornhurst Manor provided us with. Keep it up Thornhurst and don’t let people who haven’t even had an experience with you get you down ! You are amazing #teamthornhurst🥰
