Are you looking for genuine Italian pizza in a restaurant with all the warmth and friendliness of Italy? Look no further!! The pizza we had is some of the best I have ever eaten outside of Italy. Our server, Mia, was incredible! She made the whole experience fun, took time to chat with us and served us with style. If you go, ask for one of Mia's tables--you won't regret it!

It took two hours to deliver a pizza after several phone calls and then part of the order was missing. When we phoned to ask when it was coming - they said not only would it not be sent but there would be no refund. We would have to ask Deliveroo for the refund. Really not acceptable and unfortunately not the first time that a delivery has been messed up. We use Deliveroo for other restaurants and no problem. But Theo's is a nightmare. Seriously guys - sort it out. And we're not the only people in the neighbourhood fed up with this.

Unwelcoming welcome. Front of house waiter unfriendly and disinterested. Person making the drinks the same . Drinks took ages to arrive. Food Ok. Have avoided for a long time , and will avoid again.

The pizzas are always tasty, in both Camberwell and E&C restaurant locations. A short menu can be a good indication of fresh ingredients. For what you get, I also think it is good value. I had takeaway last time, and ordered via phone because I live quite close (and paid on pickup). Staff is nice as well.

Live round the corner so have been many times. Service (almost) always haphazard. Often seem to be in the midst of a crisis, or at least permanently short staffed. Can take several minutes even for a hello at busy times - and you find yourself waving to get attention once you are seated. It’s a shame as the staff are generally very friendly and the pizzas are great - best in the area and definitely one of my favourites in London. But for a meal it’s not relaxing. Acoustics could do with some work too - lots of hard surfaces so it’s very loud.

May I begin by commending the food here, honestly it was really really excellent. We dined here on Good Friday evening, it was busy but were seated as a party of 4 very quickly. After choosing what to have the server soon arrived to take our order. I chose a Calzone with additional mushrooms, alongside my partner who chose a Capacollo again with additional mushrooms ( both of which are an extra charge) the rest of the order was 2 Napoli Salimi’s with an order for drinks. To my surprise, the server did not write anything down, and instead seemed confident in the bravado of his memory. When our order arrived, everything was fine other than my Calzone was bereft of mushroom, believe me I scraped through all the topping but came up short in regard to my conquest for Fungi. I chose not to complain there and then as the Calzone would have to be remade and I really object to food waste. Like I said despite this the food was really great,however when the bill arrived I was surprised at the total of the meal but paid without checking, I did nag at me so, checked it the following morning, to my amusement I had been charged for additional mozzarella instead of mushroom, however what did irk me was the “discretionary” service charge of 12.5% To my mind discretionary is at the choice of the customer, when it is not, it should be made clear to them at the point of ordering. I didn’t realize that 51st state of America, as servers here are paid a salary and do not have to rely on customer gratuities instead of a salary. So am I happy to pay extra for less than average service, No! not really and may I suggest keeping memory skills for any future appearance on mastermind, and instead use a goddam pen and paper.

Unhelpful people, dismissive too. Many times I have visited the restaurant in Camberwell and my dog is always welcome to sit in the main room. Apparently there is rule that dogs are not allowed inside into the main dining room. However many times the rule was overruled, quite right, baring in mind Oscar is a support dog. Today we were told a No . I explained that we had been there before and Oscar was allowed . The attitude of the staff kicked in - rude and dismissive.

I had an horrible experience there. They ruined my birthday dinner completely. I had reserved a table for me and my friends 1 week before the dinner, and I had specifically asked for gluten free pizzas and I’ve also talked with the chef because I had a special request. I went to the restaurant with all my friends on my birthday night and they told me that there were not gluten free pizza dough that night. And the manager were so rude. Basically we had to leave and order our dinner with Uber eats from another restaurant. The worst thing is that I used to go to this restaurant more then once a week because their gluten free pizzas is good. But after that experience I’ll never go there because most of the staff is rude and really don’t know how to work properly. They didn’t even apologize.

Turned up to eat dinner here & they were very busy, not sure if you can make a reservation, we only waited a few mins for a table & we absolutely loved it. The veggie pizza choice was fab, our food was quick to arrive & was just so tasty. The beer, which came in a 1 litre jug, was fab too. Highly recommended.

Food is great but service is really bad. Staff are rude and uninterested. Only really recommend getting take away. Heard the same from quite a few of my friends.

Lovely Thursday night at Theo's Camberwell. On arrival early evening the restaurant was quiet, given it was really wet outside I was not surprised. Warm welcome from the staff, good red wine and amazing olives, allowed a cosy environment. Within half an hour the restaurant was buzzing and the pizzas and salad were amazing. All in all a great place to spend a wet night in London. Thanks

Totally disastrous. Unfriendly welcome. Unhelpful front house manager. Food delivered with no charm or grace. Drinks were not offered to be topped up baring in mind we were drinking rather expensive cocktails. Menus were dirty and wet - we had to request swap for clean ones. You are either dog friendly at all times or not at all, consistency is strength and clients like it

Second visit, incredible pizza. Up there with Santa Maria, Ealing which I consider to be the best in London. The free chilli oil is the clincher. 5/5

Whatever we ate was not pizza and nothing to do with any Neapolitan dish. The base was so thin you could see through and the dough was just tasteless. They even managed to make fried pizza dough bland and stodgy. The calzone was hilarious: layers of dough so thin that it arrived deflated. Shame because the tomato sauce and the buffalo mozzarella were nice.Appaling place and definitely nothing to do with Italian food.

Takeaway experience. Last time was sometime in 2019, and it was great! This time around….wow! Tasty as before but definitely bigger and plentiful of top quality ingredients! There was an anchovies and mixed olives with extra mozza, and a superb sausage and friarelli to enjoy, which both delivered in any aspect you would hope for!

This has been my favourite pizza place in London for a number of years - genuinely can’t beat a Napoli Salami and an Orbit Nico beer 👍

Ok Lindon, is always good to promote good businesses and hood people so… Another pizza place worth of note : Theo in Camberwell. A true bunch of Neapolitans working hard near and around a veritable pizza oven. Worth a try.

Theo's is unassuming and has a street food vibe, but don't be mistaken. The Pizzas were cooked to perfection, the service was friendly and attentive and the tiramisu was big and to die for... all in all a great night out. Highly recommended! Give it a go!
