The Zhang in Canterbury

Food originally arrived in great time however the curry sauce had leaked everywhere ruining the other dishes - however it was dealt with absolutely superbly. Can’t fault this restaurant. Delivered another order in full and it was gorgeous. Will always return here!

Unfortunately the chicken balls were burnt but everything else was delish

35 minutes late and barely warm when arrived

spent nearly £40, spring rolls were virtually empty, the squid in black bean sauce had virtually no flavour and the sauce was watery. We had used Zhang a lot in the past and it was not up to the usual good standard. I hope the next time it's better.

Ordered at 18:30 food was delivered at 20:50!! Always use these for our Chinese too won’t be using again. Called them at 19:30 was told my food was being cooked and then called again at 20:30 and was told my food had just started being cooked. This is ridiculous will never use again over two hours late.

Ordered food at 20:10 and called at 21:45 to find out where our delivery was. The lady on the front desk told me she had spoken to the driver and he was 10 mins away. Called again at 22:30 and she tells me all food is now out for delivery. Further questions only resulted in the same line being repeated in that she only tells me what the bosses tell her. While typing this at 22:45 our food has been delivered piping hot - not bad for a meal apparently cooked over an hour ago!

Food wasn't nice. It was cold (fair enough, it's a really cold evening). Chips were oven chips. Chicken was of questionable quality. Vegetable curry was fine.

Nice food, disappointing delivery time, at least 25 mins late, and that was after they had already said it would be an hour! I wouldn’t mind but when I placed the order it said it would be 30-45 mins!!

It was within the time stated right on the end of the time food delicious.

Very disappointed this time, food wasn’t as great as the last time we ordered. Do understand it was a Saturday night and they must have been busy. Did get a £4 deduction as they were slightly late.

Absolutely the best and tasiest Chinese food we've eaten in a very long time. The Chow mein in particular has the most amazing Wok Hei smokiness. We loved it so much, were ordering again tonight. 10/10 Highly recommended to all. Not to be missed 😊

Still the best Chinese in the bay. The peanut satay sauce is to die for. Perfect.

Really beautiful flavour. We had crispy chilli beef, chow mein, kung po chicken. All the food was excellent. Only slight disappointment was the kung po could be bit more spicy and chicken battered. however, we loved the food!

Hard to judge atmosphere as we had delivery via just eat. It’s lovely to get properly tasty Chinese food locally. Deliver was bang on time and all was piping hot.

Myself and my partner are staying in herne bay for the weekend and decided to have a Chinese tonight. This was honestly one of the nicest chineses I have ordered. The food was cooked beautifully and was full of flavour! Highly recommend if you are considering ordering in the area :)

Absolutely outstanding food. Just moved to the area from Yorkshire and looking for a decent Chinese. Had all the family over so took a chance on Zhang. So glad I did. Food arrived early and was piping hot and fresh. Ordered a wide variety of dishes for 9 people and every one of them was delicious. This will definitely be my go-to Chinese from now on. Five stars.

Best chinese in the Bay. Everything tasted fresh and succulent, nothing was dry. Every chinese seems to have a weakness in their menu in the Bay but I’ve not found one yet for this place. Would recommend.

Very disappointed with how long the delivery took. We ordered at 7.00, was meant to be with us 8.05-8.25 and it didn’t arrive till 9.10. Really bad when we have children hungry and guests round.

It was delivered 2 hours early at 5:30pm. instead of 7:30pm.. My husband wasn't home from work yet..... We had to reheat it which isn't ideal.

ordered my food around 9.15pm. The app gave me and hours estimate for delivery. Not even 30 minutes later and there's a knock at the door with my order! Very impressed.
