Happy Xpress Chinese in Canterbury

Really disappointing experience with this place. First, the lady on the phone was rude (thankfully the guy that delivered the food was really nice). Egg fried rice had no seasoning, barely any egg and just tasted like cheap oil. Vegetable chow main was really bad and had a weird taste, salt and chilli chips had no pepper and no chilli, thai style chicken just seemed boiled and was bland and very watery.

The woman who is taking the order needs sacking!she was Very rude and miserable when I phoned up to place my order, if you don't like your job f#cking quit! Instead of ruining other people's days! The food wasn't all that either!

Ordered starter of sweetcorn and crabmeat soup. No crab present only cheap processed crabstick. Not on, poor quality ruined the meal

Tried multiple times to get someone to answer the telephone. When we did get through and order for pick up we got there and the girl behind the counter told me our order didn’t print so she didn’t know what we wanted. What’s wrong with ringing back the number that called you??? Gave up in the end, would certainly not recommend

Phoned to place order. I was asked to wait, waited over 5 mins whilst I was waiting they where swearing whilst I was on the phone. When I went to collect my order they hadn’t put my ordered through not impressed and wouldn’t recommend them. Ended up going to another place.

We always go here for our take out. We've tried many when 1st moved to area and will always go back again. Best in the area defo!!!

Living in Essex all my life, and moving to canterburyC finding this take away was a breath of fresh air. Being served by the one and only GC, it brought me back to my roots. She has great customer service and more front than Blackpool lol, but great staff and food all round. Many thanks

We were staying in Wincheap, and walked past this takeaway to get home several times, so decided to try it! We popped in and ordered duck with spring onions and ginger and king prawn fried rice. The receptionist was absolutely lovely and told us to sit and it’d be quick - it was! About ten minutes! Walked home and tucked into one of the nicest Chinese takeaways we’ve had for a long while, tasty and plentiful. We went back the next week and it was equally as good - and we’ve lived in China for eight years, so we know what we’re talking about! Xie xie!

Food is very nice, price is reasonable. You can get good amount of food for its price. Love the set meal, always having the best value. Fried rice are great, satay sauce with chicken are also great.

Very easily the best Chinese in Canterbury. Finally I can enjoy Chinese food again now these are here. The food is amazing!!! Not greasy and it’s everything you want from Your Chinese food. Plus Always quick delivery. 20 mins was the last one and I live 10 mins away!!! I haven’t enjoyed Chinese food for years in Canterbury so I am very grateful I tried this place!!!

Food was not that good. Fried rice was too dry. Pork schechwan was not that good at all. It tasted funny, so I didn’t eat it all.

Awful cold food ruined my evening 2 hour delivery time this food had be sat for at least half an hour! Then the delivery man can't find me so I have to find him who is wondering around aimlessly in the rain with my wet cold food!!! Oh and the girl on the phone try more pc and less the GC!

Thought i would try a different Chinese as my regular has had a change of hands, and im not enjoying it as much as i used to. Had a nice meal here, flavor was really good, did not have to wait long and was collected by my self. Only criticism i could give was i felt the portions for crispy chili beef and duck fried rice where a little small to what i am used to locally.

It's rare to find a Chinese takeaway that can cope with allergens (gluten and dairy in our case). Not only can they accommodate but the young blonde lady on the front desk is exceptionally helpful in this regard and goes out of her way to check and advise on ingredients. Super professional!

ordered food came to the door food absolutely freezing, spoke to the owner and so rude to us because of one order we have been told we can not order here again! how rude!! Best Chinese food in Kent, good pricing and good standard menu no one does king prawn chow mein like them and the ribs are to die for.

Messed up our order on new years eve. I understand it was busy. More than 2 hours wait. Went into the shop to pick up. I was told it'd take 10 minutes with no apologies and we waited in the car. Only for our order to be given to another customer and then told to wait again. It was a complete disaster.

Decent food but the receptionist is extremely rude. Went in asking for delivery and the lady called us "lazy sh*ts" as well as anyone who orders for delivery from Wincheap. Considering the pandemic this is particularly ridiculous and the driver was happy to oblige. Just an extremely unprofessional and rude receptionist. The order was also put in wrong which would not have happened if she were listening instead of staring at us with disgust. Delivery is free over a certain price which we doubled. Rang the manager who was nice but who seemed to do nothing to adress our complaints. WILL NOT BE RETURNING unless a new receptionist is hired.

The chix in blackbean is spicy, the chix salt and chilli also, no matter what you order it is always hot, well presented and well cooked, been using this takeaway now for 2 years and always a friendly helpful voice at the end of the phone.

A repeat of a previous meal (no review as i thought it was a one off) my latest meal was disappointing and I do believe standards are falling, tonight's meal was bland and not up to even a 2 star rating Chow man was soft almost as they had been pre cooked and microwaved when ordered (repast of previous week) lots of unnecessary salad fillings to make up volume with the pawns. I can predict this business if no improvement being sold or closing.

Its my local chinese. Whats not to like.

Everytime I order from happy xpress they never meet the delivery time and are late by at least another 45 minuets which personally I believe is a joke. I’ve had orders arrive that are cold or undercooked or that just haven’t turned up and when I’ve rang to ask they say it hasn’t been processed. Absolutely disgusting service

The food is great but customer service is appalling. They made a mistake with my order twice and then tried to blame me for it. I've been going there since I moved here and I'm really disappointed. People can be allergic to certain foods and they need to be more careful.

Good solid consistency for the quality of food, I have used these for the last two years and have always received good food.

Food was disappointing found a hair in my food and was undercooked would not recommend it to anyone. I will defiantly not be ordering from here again!

We used this takeaway since it's opening until our last order. Food(rice) was the worst I have ever had. on opening rice was brown (supposed to be egg fried) in one large lump, and all had to be thrown away. Now using supernoodles

Chinese is our fave takeaway and we used to order from other places, but when our old chinese gave us a 2 hour wait we decided to spread our wings, and what luck we did. Good phone ordering, we normally pick up ourselves. Food is hot and plentiful, especially the pancake rolls which are massive (if a little greasy). Good Chinese restaurant.

I ordered for collection picked up as I live just outside the delivery area checked the containers where correct yes there is my sauce got home and with sweet and sour chicken they have given me curry sauce. I am a regular customer at least every other week and there grand gesture to sort this out is zero, only offered to deliver because I suggested it but said it wouldn't be for ages. They offered me a free meal but sorry I wanted my meal tonight, if I wanted dry rice and chicken I would order it. And they never gave me my item they said they would do last time they made a mistake for free either. So after 6 years of using them that will be my last visit. This could have been a simple fix I live less than 10 mins drive from the place.
