Jasmine Garden Chinese Takeaway in Canterbury

BE HONEST WITH YOUR DELIVERY TIMES. Ordered for delivery on the previous two occasions. The food was fantastic and delivered in the time stated within 45mins to an hour and on a Saturday. After a busy day I placed an order on Tuesday at 5pm to be told 45mins to an hour. This didn't happen and after an hour and a half I cancelled the order. The upside of this is that I've discovered the joys of Extra Mature Marmite on toast. Swings and roundabouts. As with any takeaway that lets you down there will not be another order for food which is a shame as they would have had a regular customer.

Food is always good from here, everything tastes great. Plenty of proteins, not just full of veg. Fast delivery, food always arrives hot. Try the satay chow meins! 🥜

I thought the noodles would be vegetarian but otherwise all was great

I have no idea why there are bad reviews for this place. This is, without a doubt, the best Chinese in Canterbury! Reasonable pricing and big portions. The staff are friendly and helpful too. After 4 takeouts from this place, it has now become our regular as the food has been superb each time!

the fried rice had no flavour apart from chilli powder and the tofu had no salt

Missing half of the items and phone would not even go through to the restaurant. Will not be using again.

Was in the area for food and was scared to try these guys out due to the bad reviews but honestly the food here is just amazing. 10/10

Jasmine used to be my family favourite but had lost faith after a few bad meals, HOWEVER, I am very pleased to say that the meals we had, of which there was a very wide variety were all Outstanding.

Sadly first and last time will order from here . Meal was awful . Chicken was rubbery poor quality , duck was so crispy was not able to eat it as more burnt than crispy !!

After an hour of trying to get through for delivery we had a hard time communicating with the person on the phone because of the people shouting in the background and the lady shouting back to them. Roll on an hour later we didn’t have the food and waited an extra 30min. We then called to see if the food was on its way. The woman who spoke with us, was short with us and said that it would be arriving within the next 15min. Another 30min had gone by and it’s been well over 2 hours. We called again she then said ‘It’s on its way as I told you and hung up’. The food finally arrived. The delivery driver was polite (the only positive). We finally get to have the food and we are starving. The chips have been placed in a bag where it has been soaked through. We didn’t have some of what we ordered. The chips were solid and sweaty. The noodles were as dry as cardboard. The curry sauce was nice but wasn’t even halfway full in a pot that costs £1.90. It cost us £30 and we had a few mouthfuls because of how bad and dry it was. Thank goodness we had someone take us to McDonald’s. Unless you can go there yourself don’t order food from there. We were a 10 minute drive away but a 30-40 min walk. As I don’t live in the area and am located 5 hours away I would have been halfway home by the time we had food.

My go to Chinese take away. Nice people and good food. I'm a fan of their duck fried rice. Tasty! 😊

I delivered the wrong item , When I contacted the restaurant They sorted it out immediately and promptly without any problems . They driver was very polite and couldn't be more apologetic even tho it wasn't his fault. So,I have given the maximum stars for customer services and promptly rectified my order . The food was delicious.

They forgot an item and there was meat in my vegetarian rice. Usually a big fan of Jasmine Garden but this was really disappointing. I also can't get in touch with Just Eat to log my issue and claim a refund for the dodgy 'vegetarian' dish.

Changed from the last order, chow mein is now in a small tub, £26 and no crackers either! used for years but a bit of a disappointment.

Took ages. Noodles tasted so bad and mushy not edible. Meat was old and tasted bad too (duck) avoid

The rice was a clump we couldn't eat it and the duck was soo dry over cooked

arrived early. fair portion for the size, but not the best flavorings used in the dishes ordered. filled the hole.

Both the chicken fried rice and chicken chow mein contained no chicken. The duck was extremely well done and most of it was too hard and crispy to eat.

I ordered crispy chilli beef & an all in one container meal. I got home with my collected order to find there was no boiled rice with the “all in one container”. I rung the takeaway, the lady apologised & I got the rice free of charge but had to go back to collect it

Great food piping hot and fresh!

Where do I start. The samosas and the spring roles were old chewy and soft. The rice was also chewy. The prawn chop suey was of poor quality. Overall very unsatisfactory.

The food was inedible. The tofu was not crispy and tasted disgusting. The prawn in Szechuan sauce was so thick and gloopy, like slime and the prawns tasted awful, they were also buttered like kung po not usual for Szechuan style. The duck in the chow mein was like leather. The restaurant weren’t helpful when I called to complain and they told me they weren’t able to make the tofu crispy as it would dry out! They’ve no idea how to cook Chinese well. Don’t eat here, you’re better off getting an M & S Chinese, it will taste more authentic.

Food was fresh from the kitchen, the people were lovely and welcoming. Food was ready perfectly in time for collection. 100% recommend to anyone who’s looking for some amazingly tasty food & friendly service.

Instead of apologising for the food being late I was told it was my fault as the driver rang me multiple times (not one single call came through my phone). Unprofessional and rude service. In addition, the food arrived cold, soggy and tasteless. Won't be ordering again.

I have never had problems , food always good but tonight I ordered at 5 .20 and at 7.20 still not come so I canceled. Really upset coz can’t trust them .

All the food was bland, cold and clearly been reheated and sat for a while. Things like chips, prawn toast and pancakes were soggy but cold. The whole meal ended up in the bin and alternative dinner ordered else were. Disappointed in it all , absolutely disgusting and would not recommend to anyone.

Excellent food but delivery took a long time. However it was Saturday night so to be expected. Will definitely use again.

Great food, friendly staff, quick service, quality for the money

Food was very below average. Chow mein was tasteless and dry, chicken was over cooked and satay chicken was chicken in curry sauce. Overall not good

Taxi driver sat outside address eating sandwiches and the food was just horrible...use to be the best in Canterbury but not anymore!!

Rice was nice, chips were decent, and I enjoyed the chicken in mandarin sauce, but the chicken balls were massively overcooked making them excessively greasy but also dry at the same time which gave me pretty bad indigestion.

Delicious, fast and well priced every time. But I noticed the chicken satay sticks came with a satay curry, unlike previous thicker sauces. But I'm happy to go again and again for the outstanding flavours.

No free prawn crackers?? On a £40+ order, was very disappointed! One food item was missing, was grateful to get a refund within 12 hours.

My shredded crispy beef was half a portion and my chow mien tasted soapy. Delivery was 45-50 later than expected and was told five minutes twice.

There were no prawn crackers on a £30 order and the curry was a bit bland. But yeah no haven't gotten Chinese in ages and generally the food was alright as Chinese goes but no prawn crackers was a let down and feels stingy tbh.

Just one dish that we found was good the rest was pretty awful. Especially their satay chicken.. they were in a watery sauce with veg!? Very disappointing. The hunt for a good Chinese in Canterbury continues!

My meal was brilliant, nice and hot and had a lot of flavour to each dish. I have always ordered from Jasmine Garden when having a Chinese takeaway.

This really is a superb Chinese takeaway restaurant. Delicious food, friendly people and an excellent delivery service if you use it. I wrote the following 18 months ago and it is still very true! My favourite Chinese takeaway restaurant in Canterbury, and one of my favourite Chinese takeaways ever. The delicious food has a real home-cooked quality and the people who work here at the Jasmine Garden are friendly and give great service. A wonderful place!

Exceptionally good food and really good value

Food was nice and nice portion sizes however my delivery was late (I pre ordered for a specific time) and they accidentally gave me the wrong delivery so had to call up and swap it 😂

Requested BBQ sauce we got sweet and sour. The prawn balls were extremely doughy. I couldn't eat it. Ordered from here before but was very disappointed tonight.

Cold food, waited 2 hours for delivery and then it was delivered to the house 5 doors away, not good at all

I am really surprised seeing some negative reviews of Jasmine Garden. We've always found the food delicious, the delivery speedy and the customer service very good. We've been customers of Jasmine Garden for a few years now (one takeaway every couple of months or so) and have always been pleased with the food and speed of delivery.

It's smelt like it was off and tasted vail should have my money back for this as ordered yesterday won't be ordering again very disappointed

Chicken balls was very under Cooked even the batter wasn't cooked properly

Hot and sour soup was the most disgusting soup I have ever had: 100% vinegar and chilli. Banana was not cooked in banana fritter.

The food from this restaurant is amazing, very good service! I was responsible for a issue with delivery and the person I spoke to was so kind and are delivered my food for me. Very good service and polite people. I will order again:)
