A fantastic pub, great atmosphere live bands on great food They have a pool table and dartboards Absolutely load of parking friendly staff or round good atmosphere I would highly recommend

Called in on the way home for a pint of larger. It’s definitely a locals pub with a lively atmosphere as the locals talk to each other- it was interesting listening to their banter and I was made to feel welcome. The pint of larger was one of the best I’ve had for a very long time, that good I ordered a 2nd pint. A special mention for the exceptionally clean toilets. I would call in again if I was in the area.

Last night was Eddie Martin.....great lively night. Everyone was dancing!!! Great atmosphere. Today 27th August '23 we went to try their newly presented Sunday Lunch. Roast beef, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, cauliflower and broccoli. Plenty of gravy to pour yourself . Presentation 8/10. Beef a little over cooked for me, but we all like different things..... Will go back for another try! Would I recommend it? If you want a nice quick dinner without having to wash up then yes. I'm not sure if they are offering puddings yet, but would have loved a bit of apple pie after that. I feel they are trying to see if there is a call for it. I hope there is because I enjoyed it. See you next week.

Waited 2 hours for food. Came out cold. Other customers getting their food before me and the family. When I took my meal back for a refund, I was met with nothing but attitude from the cook to the extent of her immaturely, very loudly shouting "BYE" as I walked back to my family.

A nice tidy pub but when the owner decides too close 10 minutes early without out no notification not even telling the customers in the pub that they cannot have a drink now as they put it bar closed don't think I would recommend it as the most friendliest place.

First time there like the sports bar and lounge nice entertainment on while there plus good ale and friendly bar staff 👍

Great little stop-off on our walk to the ruchie indian restaurant. The yew tree is a very nice place with great smile faces.

It's ok but doesn't serve food and not open till 4pm.it used to be good but it's ok for a quick pint on a weekend

Nice atmosphere, good beer and a nice big car park so no struggles trying to find somewhere to park.

Cracking night this Friday. Bloke on the patio smashing out Ska and Reggae hits, and the strongbow dark fruits was flowing!! Great night thanks to the staff.

Bit mean at this place! Over the road is a support facility that cares for adults with physical emotional and learning difficulties. Occasionally they put on shows! There is zero parking on site. The pub has ample parking but at a recent performance the audience (most of them carers) were asked to move their cars as they were taking up regulars spaces. On a Thursday night - come on!

Went for a meal. No food to be service for the next couple of months? New owners? Stayed for a few drinks and went for a meal at Voujon instead.

The place was freezing. Teenage girl in the lounge acting like a kid throwing beer mats around. Bar staff were friendly.

Good choice of "Real Ales", decent food, Excelent attentive staff - no many people in at Lunchtime but appears to be popular in evenings.

Went in at lunch time, can't understand why we were the only ones in there. It was lovely inside, we had two main meals for £10 which were nicely cooked and well worth the money. I would definitely recommend going.

Tasty lunch for 3 of us. Generous portions. Food was excellent. We ordered Mac & Cheese, Fish & Chips, and a steak & ale pie. All came really quickly, piping hot and a very fair price. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great place of a weekend entertainment normally on landlord mixes with everyone but stays on duty making sure everyone enjoys them selves

After a long delay on the M1 we checked into our hotel exhausted and hungry. I had already looked on TripAdvisor and found the Yew Tree so we found our way to the pub, hoping for a good end to the day. It looked lovely and welcoming and the barmaid could not have been nicer. The food was excellent and so cheap at two meals for £10! We could not manage a dessert after the generous portions, which was a shame. The wine was very good and again not expensive; we had a very relaxing evening, which made up for our stressful day. We liked everything about the Yew Tree including the toilets which were beautifully tiled and clean with sparkling taps and efficient hot air dryers. We will stop by next time we are travelling North. :)

Food is not the best . Was happy with the service but the portions was small .roasters was from frozen and the peas. Meal was cold and was not the best .the lamb was discusting.

Classic car meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month

2nd visit since the new menu. Portions are huge, a tasty, reasonably priced meals. On this visit we had sharing platters and some side orders and they were just as filling. Staff are friendly and efficient, who deliver good customer service. Shame about the loud, sweary types who don't care that families are dining late afternoon.

Went here the other week with my family we went on a friday which was fish on friday and you get a drink with the deal to when the young lady brought the food out the meal where massive for your money they where very nice meals and the service was very good to cannot waite to go back as they do a diffrent deal monday to friday

First time eating at this pub and what a delightful surprise!! Great atmosphere, lovely attentive staff and the food was so lovely presented, fresh and delicious!!! All meals that we ordered were good sized portions and looked delicious!!! I had the steak and ale pie it was mouthwatering and the onion gravy in the big gravy boat was so lovely to get enough gravy instead of the usual little jug where you get a dribble of gravy!!! Will most definitely recommend and return!!! Great is all I can say

17 family members visited on Saturday afternoon for meal and drinks. We were all very pleased with the service and the meals were all brought out together and very well organised. The bar staff, waitresses and locals were very friendly. This was our first visit to The Yew Tree and wont be our last. All the staff there are a credit. Thank you.

Yew Tree is a Okay pretty standard pub, good laugh when it's busy with the lads but there beer is not so good! Hard for choice on the ales and you more than often struggle for a good pint, food looks okay never eaten here myself but my friends have and what I could see it look fairly decent! #steak looks good! Nice size portions.

Called in for a drink before going for a curry nearby. Beer was good and they had a decent Sauvignon wine but the noise!!!!!! It was so loud and there weren't really many people in there. Also children running around and parents shouting for them. Not quite what you want on a Saturday evening for pre meal drinks. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but the menu is a decent price.

Very good value pub, with excellent food and superb service from friendly staff. Next time we're down, this is the place we'll eat.

Went to yew tree saturday night for valentines meal. Two steak meals with sweet and lovely bottle of wine for £20.00 great value.Nothing was to much trouble for staff very friendly. They are starting the two for £20.00 very saturday. Well worth a visit.
