Costa Coffee in Cannock Chase

Visited the store this morning with my son for hot chocolates, I was told once I had ordered they couldn't take card as the machine wasn't working, luckily I had some cash on me, other customers weren't so lucky, we went to sit down and I noticed the furniture was filthy. The profit margins they have they can certainly afford to have them deep cleaned. Its a shame

I asked for my table to be cleaned please, a very pleasant young lady wiped my table very lacklustrely I pointed out coffee cup markings she said these were stains? I rub of my finger showed a different colour of the table? Instead of grey it became nearly white? Very poor hygiene. The coffee was pleasant enough as was my cornflake cake. But hygiene noooooo it’s disgusting, sorry, a hot wat cloth with some disinfectant spray would have my table clean and hygienic

The lady on the coffee machine is a wiserd. Never seen anyone turn out perfect coffee as fast excellent service, no waiting bang on.

Everything Is very good quality. But pricey.

A nice spacious Costa, plenty of tables and a variety of seating. Standard menu as you would expect at a Costa.

Very friendly staff, who seem to know a lot of local people, giving the place a good community feel. Coffee and serve are always spot on

I visited this Costa a few years back and was really disappointed at the service and the staff seemed to lack training. However, on a more recent visit, the branch seems to have got its act together. Staff seem to have received the training they need and they are much more friendly and helpful. Drinks and food are served quickly and everything seems to be running a lot smoother. The only downside of this particular Costa is the sound acoustics, or lack of. When it gets busy, the sound bounces round the room making the noise much worse. However, when it's not rammed, it is a great place to visit.

Always great to catch up with a friend, grab a bite and a good coffee, always reccomend!

Usually pretty busy so must be doing something right.

My piping how toastie was put in the same bag next to my chocolate tiffin so had melted before getting to me. Both were very delicious though.

Driver was very rude, refused to take an alternate route to get to the house due to a closed road, and refused to walk a minute down the road to deliver to the door, spoke next to no english and only words she could say to me were “road closed” and “i no walk, i take order back” resulting in me having to do a ten minute round trip to collect from her might as well have walked to costa

Excellent service, lots of variety, clean and tidy.

OK, it was getting late in the day but not a very friendly reception by either of the ladies behind the counter. We were told that coffee would be in a takeaway cup even though we were sitting in. Flat whites ordered - not overly hot or strong.

Typical Costa Coffee shop. Same setting as every other you visit. Hot drinks were good, premises themselves were a little tired. Staff were friendly and had good service

Lovely breakfast for a lovely price. Not sure if there was a deal on but got toast for a £1 so with a pot of tea (that you easily squeeze two cups out of) it only came to £3.25 for a simple breakfast.

No caramel in the coffee caramel frappe had to add my own. Toasties stone cold had to warm up in my toastie machine

Morning coffee always great to have before going work, sometimes busy and ques are with regular old ladies out for the morning sun, they love their cakes and teas :) good to see them joyful for a coppa, and staff always helpful, cheerful and on spot with extra service fast and cordial. Yes, definitely stop by, family friendly also :)

It had moved premises, a lot smaller. Felt cramped.

Put it notes for delivery driver to come to the front door, he rang me at the back gate, I said can you come to the front door please? He huffed and put the phone down! very rude

Driver was aggressive, didn’t even attempt to come to the specified address and then decided to say it was delivered and I haven’t received my coffee. How hard is it to deliver to the place specified

Staff polite enough but there were many tables full of used crockery etc and I had to clear a table. That's not acceptable whether we are in pandemic or endemic status....cleaning is cleaning in any event and front of house responsibilities should be maintained to a good standard level. Maybe it was a one off...it was 4pm but saying that it shouldn't matter what time of day it was should it? I would've left but my daughter wanted to treat me!

Tried to pay cash , but refused legal tender , £50 note they don't except according to management ????? And requested to take away , and served in sit in cups, then just tipped them in to take away cups , so very cold because of the cream

Disgusting service. And treatment by assistant manager Sunday. Poor customer service skills and embarrassing me and my wife to the point of tears.

Staff member who served at the till was coughing in to her hands. And didn't wash them afterwards.

We did not get our order!!! The restaurant phoned to say they did not have the breakfast wrap or muffins offered us an alternative and then did not send it!!! Very disappointed

I order from here 3/4 times a week as a treat to myself after the school run. I usually have a croissant, hot chocolate, chilled latte and a cake. Today (mothers day) was no different apart from the person who made my order up left a lovely little note to say have a lovely day 😊 little things like that keep people going and give them something nice to focus on. Lovely gesture.

As it say's in the title we stopped here for a couple of coffee's to recover after our long canal walk. Obviously this branch were obviously getting used to re-opening after lockdown. Good social distancing measures in place set out by the government. Felt safe. Good coffee and, a limited menu. Only gripe was we don't think the air conditioning was working properly or turned on as they seemed to be alot of flies flying around, a little off putting - but due to the current circumstances, this is a trivial matter.

Nice place coffee is nice but way over priced for my liking all Costas are too expensive for what you get.

I went to pay a visit in this Costa on Friday where the town was pretty busy that evening and the Xmas lights were being switched on. I witnessed an awful experience where a man and a lady in her wheelchair where entering. As her husband held the door this gentleman went to enter the premises not realising the lady in the wheelchair. Her husband was very rude to the gentleman and he profusely apologised not realising what he had done. He even had the decency to apologise to the lady in the wheelchair and held the door open for her and showed remorse and again apologised to the couple. Obviously she didn't have the decency to say thankyou and accept his apologies. But what was upsetting was as the gentleman went to enter the premises the husband slammed the door in the gentleman's face which was very unpleasant and also totally uncalled for. The gentleman didn't react and was clearly upset and just walked away. That persuaded me not to enter the premises considering everyone in the town were enjoying themselves. There was no need for that to happen but unfortunately things like this do happen no matter where you go.

Come here regular for a morning coffee.. nice place nice friendly staff.

I visit here often and walk past a lot. It’s obviously typical Costa and the food and drink is lovely. However the staff are always so chirpy and friendly. They welcome you and are always happy!

I visit Costa a lot. Manager Sam got promoted and was missed. New manager Kelly has settled in lovely always friendly chatty and bright feels like she has always been there. All the staff are so helpful nothing is too much for them to do. Kelly Enid Alex Paige Tom and Millie are the best staff ever they remember your name and what you drink. Great team brighten up my mornings. Keep up the good work

Millie is my favourite in costa! Always so attentive, bubbly and a huge smiley face! Always makes my son laugh and recommends drinks to me as she knows I love syrups in my coffee! I’m gutted when I go in and she isn’t there. Xx

I visited this costa today and I am so pleased with my experience, especially the customer service I received from one of the baristas, not sure but think her name was Millie? Excellent manners and such a friendly person. Very quick making the coffee and tasted amazing! Will definately go back just for the polite friendly service I received.

I stopped at Costa today with my mother to feed my baby the barista named Millie was a very helpful young lady very attentive and very polite. There should be more people with her customer service manners. Made me feel very welcome. 😌

I called in Rugeley costa on my way to the hairdressers and ordered a flat white must say the lady that served me was very pleasant and was served very quickly. Store was clean and tidy staff was very helpful will Be returning next time I am in town. Well done to the Rugeley costa team
