Royal Oak in Cannock Chase

Had a great experience, beer was good, staff were friendly and great to talk to. Very welcoming, will return on a weekend as it’s supposed to be a fun night.

Fantastic pub in the area, bar staff are first class and with shell and Freddie behind the bar your guarantee good service. Karaoke on Friday afternoons and all sports shown on big screens it's the places to be. Always busy and always good time to have

For me the only place to drink in Cannock. The staff are all amazing, the service is great and the atmosphere is always great at the weekend where they have karaoke on a Friday afternoon as well as disco on a Friday and Saturday night. The beer is great and they have a good selection of cocktails too. They also have full range of sports that are shown on multiple large screens

They say that if you stand outside this pub you can see four others. I tried this and could see only three. Maybe this is the fourth? Anyway, popped in here for a couple on a Sunday night. Decent enough pub, seemed quite lively. The beer was Cruzcampo, from Luton. Lots of people in, but table to be had. Overall worth a visit for a pint or two. Not much to add. Try their new beers!

We booked at The Royal Oak Hotel for one night, and we travelled down from Cumbria. The staff were very professional and friendly, and their people skills were second to none. The rooms ( we booked two) were clean, tidy, and had a lovely cosy feel. The food, we had an evening meal and breakfast.. I can't fault it .... the portion size is way more than what I'd expect... there were 5 of us, and we all had different dishes... all of them were outstanding.. absolutely delicious. What a lovely place to stay .. we will definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

I like this pub. Very pleasant staff. Great prices, cheaper than Weatherspoons over the road. Plus music. I have returned once again, the pub again still friendly by staff and plaintiffs. This is by far my favourite pub/Bar in the area. I was advised to download their app, loyalty scheme if you prefer. Again, I would highly recommend it (MXR app). I'm also upping my star rating 😎.

A great, friendly pub to visit. Staff are great and always up for a chat. Cheap drink offers on daily, music/karaoke nights are always a good night out. Shout out to Shell for being amazing at what she does!

Royal Oak in Cannock, a pub which has become a landmark and an icon of the Staffordshire town, having been part of the town for a couple of hundred years. One of the local pubs I have been in for the last 48 years, so have seen many changes in that time. Always as a good mix of age range, serves a good beer and has a proper pub atmosphere. Friday is disco night and weekends live entertainment and Karaoke. Food is available.

Very poor. Got to pub at 10.05pm on a Saturday night. Told can only let people in as people come out which was fine even though the place was empty. After about 20 people had come out we was still not allowed in as they now come up with the excuse that they had run out of glasses. At this point we decided to walk away and go elsewhere. Very poor custer service and attitude.

Great place for weekend with friends or as a couple, great music, beer is great staff were fun and friendly. Will definitely return

The Royal Oak is amazing they don't serve food but the karaoke is fun and so is the disco night on the weekend the staff are so lovely and friendly shell you've done a great job 💯

had an incredible night at the royal oak cannock. staff were very warm and welcoming, also the regular customers made us feel welcome also. drinks are a great price. entertainment was top notch, enjoyed having a dance.

This pub is one of the only dog friendly pubs in the town so I can always expect a warm welcome when I arrive with my pooch. Weekends are always full of life and drinks are reasonably priced. friendly staff and a warming atmosphere ....

Such a welcoming pub, all of the staff are lovely, particularly James, Freddy and Shell. They are dog friendly too and our dog loves visiting because everyone always makes a fuss of her and makes sure she is fed plenty of treats 💖

Very busy local pub, large variety of drinks on tap, live football and other sports on the screens, large outdoor space at the rear.

We popped in for a drink, before going onto the station. Staff served us quickly and we went to sit in the beer garden. Lovely area, the problem was there was a group of people who looked like they had been drinking a long time, and then it all kicked off. Lots of shouting and scuffle. It was soon sorted, but left a nasty taste of the pub.

I have experienced this calibre in many months and i have found the security are very rude as I was not making any issues to anyone else. I live local on penkridge road never again will I help your business

Was very disappointed travelled to here from Birmingham and was asked for I'd just because didn't have any on me, we were turned away. I have never experienced this anywhere else before. I even said wont be drinking alcohol and was still told no. I was shocked at this after reading other reviews i was looking forward to a great night out ..oNevemind

Perfect roast dinner. For x3 adults to eat, and two children it worked out cheaper than I could have made it at home. Great portions too. Chocolate cake was warm and goey! Thank you all
