Brilliant food, the large mixed grill was very nearly too large to finish but tasted glorious

This is our local and we love coming here. Lee is great and always gives a warm welcome to us and great with my kids

Love the food and the atmosphere

My friend and i visited here last night on a wim. Was very happy we did. I had the mac and cheese with peri peri chicken for 11.95. Loads of cheese and the chicken was cooked well, giving a nice kick. Came with garlic bread and salad. My mate had a hunters chicken and only issue was he would have liked more bbq sauce on it. Staff were friendly and happy. We will be going back again for sure.

Food was fantastic and service excellent. Staff very friendly and can't do enough for you. Excellent value for me. Will definitely be going back!!! Our third visit and yet again it didn’t disappoint! Our friends could not believe how good the steaks were (we had tried to tell them) £65 for four including drinks and desserts (30% off mains with voucher) we have paid twice this in other places and the quality hasn’t been nearly as good!!!

Ordered a sharer and asked for it to come out as a starter, confirmed it at least 3 times, when it came out, it was a starter and not a sharer, been told that I would have to pay the difference even though I confirmed it at least 3 times, then the staff and who ever the guy in charge was at the time started to get a bit stroppy and then the guy in charge every time he come out of the back was staring at me, every time... got a problem I think, should be dealing with customers with an attitude like he had, never experienced anything like this before... the good thing is they brought out the sharer and said I didn't have to pay it, even though I wasn't, I did say if there's a problem I'd have a refund if he was that bothered.. food wasn't the best, had a mega mix grill, left 3/4 of it... as you can see by my reviews I don't often leave a bad one, but I won't be returning.. and will insist on friends and family not to go here... staff need customer service training... came out for a family meal for a birthday, there was 8 of us that spent a lot of money to be made felt like we was... shocking... another good point is i didn't realise that they took blue light card discount and they refunded me the discount which I was greatful for in all honesty... need to put it somewhere that you accept blue light, as just an idea

We went as a family of 6 and the staff were friendly and very welcoming. Had 6 different meals and starters, all came out in good timing and tasted nice. Main meals were lovely too. On the mixed grill I'd had 2 pieces of steak and cooked lovely. Will defo be going back. Also they accept blue light card which was nice.

Friendly and welcoming staff Excellent food

Food was beautiful, service fabulous, company so so, just kidding 😂 I had the salt and chilli chicken kebab and I didn't want it to end. The sherry trifle cheesecake was a perfect ending and no one noticed me licking the plate and then stashing it in my bag. Would've preferred a tablecloth but I could always bring my own. Bravo Simon and staff, will be back for more asap.

My friend and I love the staff, the ambience and above all, the food. I have never had a bad meal at Samson Blewitt at Hednesford.

A great festive meal, brilliant staff with a good atmosphere well worth a visit

So glad we found this gem of a pub. We used to always "meal out" at the same companies Chetwyn Arms. No complaints re that pub/restaurant just nowhere near as good as this one. Food is always piping hot, cooked really well. Prices are sensible but so much more affordable with the 30% off deals that come up. I've recommended to neighbours who have also had a good experience there. Staff quick to serve and I've heard bell ring in kitchen to advise food ready seconds later it's delivered to the table.

As always great food and great friendly staff. Xmas food was lovely and having the table setup with crackers etc was nice. Christmas decorations are amazing too.

We had breakfast with Santa. The staff always go above and beyond and the pub is decorated so nicely. The food was great and service always brilliant.

A hidden gem. Lovely, cheerful staff. So much hard work evident by the amazing Christmas decorations - the best I’ve seen anywhere. It’s a Marston’s pub so the menu is standard but the food’s beautifully cooked and presented, with ‘specials’ offered as well. Extremely popular (for good reason) so booking is advised. An excellent ‘find’

Typical pub grub but tasty and hot. The staff were very accommodating, friendly, and pleasant culminating in a warm friendly atmosphere. I am looking forward to our next visit.

Booking a table was easy and the staff were helpful when I made a mistake online. All of the staff we met in the pub were really friendly and helpful, as they were on our previous visits. The food was excellent - just the right amount, top quality and tasted great!! We will definitely be coming back again and have already recommended the place to several friends. We love this place!

The staff were really friendly and helpful our food was served quickly and accurately the Hunters chicken which I ordered was very tasty and well presented as were the other three meals we ordered. So we all said it had been a very good dining experience.

Came for a meal with my friend and we were so impressed. I had the Mixed Grill which was cooked to perfection and such a generous portion. My friend had a couple of starters and enjoyed them both. A special mention to Nicola who cleared our plates and let us order desserts from the table - most helpful with my full belly. Can’t wait to come back tomorrow to sample the Sunday dinners - if it’s anything similar to my experience this evening I will be most impressed.

Me and my family use The Blewitt for all of our celebration meals as it never lets us down. Great food, always hot and hearty portions. The 30% off mains offer helps out too as it puts a big dent in our bill - every little helps. Thank you to all staff, you make our trips worth while and we look forward to visiting again soon.

There was 11 of us in total having a meal & a drink for my son's 50th Birthday. Even with so many of us, including 3 young children, the service was amazing. The food was excellent & we all had a brilliant time. Thank you so much Samson Blewitt staff!

Amazing food, staff were friendly and polite and service was great even though it was busy

I ordered a Sea Bass special, but when it arrived at the table, it consisted of a large amount of noodles, two tiny strips of what seemed like uncooked broccoli, and a few broken bits of what was supposed to be sea bass fillet, less than 25mm by 70mm. It was really poorly cooked, dreadfully presented and the sea bass practically non existent. Overall a really dreadful experience.

Absolutely fantastic pub, customer service was great, lots of choice on menu, really felt nostalgic in terms of wholesome food and laid back staff having a laugh with us and appear to actually enjoy their job and we all know the hospitality sector is a tough gig sometimes I can't wait to go back and try the lasagne.Thank you for a great lunch
