The Worlds End Public House in Richmond upon Thames

I had not visited this pub for around 8 years. It was therefore very pleased to see on a recent visit that the pub was not only still in business, but it had undergone a major refurbishment. This smart and bright pub is well worth a visit to enjoy its extensive range of food and drink.

Ever since the new owners/managers took over (Spring/Summer 2020), it has been nothing but trouble. They do not have a doorpolicy and let every one in. For sure they do NOT keep an eye on the consumption of some (even youngsters). Lots of fights have happened already. Lots of rough people are coming in, offending other customers. Driving off drunk or shouting. There are much better options in the area & I would definitely avoid this pub.

Really lovely looking pub & has got great potential. But ever since the new owners took over (Summer 2019), it has not been great anymore. A lot of rough people are coming in; rude, too loud, drunk & up for fights constantly. Garden used to be very nice, but now just one big lawn with no atmosphere at all.There are better options in the area & I would walk around this one with a big circle. Shame.....so much potential....

Really nice looking pub but don’t be fooled it’s really ruff! The owners let any one in which often Ed ends in trouble and all the nice people walking out!!

Possibly the largest garden in the area- great beer, fantastic make-over!! Looking forward to the kitchen reopening! Well done guys!!! Very kid and dog friendly too!!

First time visiting a pub in Hampton due to living in another area. Fantastic family fun pub. Dog and children friendly. Staff and owners are the most lovely people. Will definitely be visiting more during my stay in Hampton. Thank you for having us.

Never been to such a beautiful pub... would highly recommend. Opening night was the best! Perfect beer garden!

Yesterday we attended Hampton Village Trader Association's Christmas fair. The roads were closed and lots of activities were laid on. The estate agents were offering around mulled wine, mince pies and sweets for the kids and there was a Santa's grotto, a little festival land train and music. All very jolly and welcoming. My husband, who is recovering from an operation and using crutches became very tired and went into The World's End Public house to sit and rest for a few moments. The landlord came to serve him and when he told him that he just wanted to rest for a moment "if that's ok", the landlord's response was "No not really - how about I come around your house and have a rest there instead". My husband left. On his crutches. My daughter (aged 9) asked what had happened and then burst into tears at how he'd been treated which rather put a damper on the Christmas atmosphere. I fully recognise that pubs are businesses and so it would be normal to buy a drink but given the circumstances I think a little more understanding and a warmer welcome was in order. Had this been the case, no doubt the rest of our family would have joined him for a few drinks later. Well done to all the other traders in Hampton for a lovely event. It's a shame the village pub cannot offer an equally warm welcome.

My friends & I visited this house to have a few beers before going to Hampton & Richmond football club. The beers were first class, just like the service. I would recommend this place to anyone who is near the area.

Inside this handsome Edwardian "arts and crafts" building, with its rather lovely row of arched windows, you will find a comfortable and attractive interior--and one of the best electronic jukeboxes in London. The range of music available is much wider than will be found on the average jukebox these days. There is a bias towards live versions of songs, so if you want the original recorded version, you may have to be a bit patient and scroll down a bit further to find what you are looking for. At five plays for £1, it's good value. The jukebox will also take your photo if you choose--which I did not. Sky Sports is always showing on several TV screens, and the Worlds End is a good place to watch football, but the sport does not dominate except when a popular event is on. On such occasions the atmosphere is great, with a lot of audience participation. I noticed that hot mulled cider is currently available at £3 a glass. The landlord and bar staff are super-friendly and welcoming.

Its a very big pub but you can never ever find a seat they need afew extra tables! The bar staff aren’t the friendliest either its a shame cause it could be an amazing pub!

Visited here recently, for a quick bite. It's was fine, nothing to write home about. I got the lemon sole and salad, and for £25 I was expecting an amazing salad... it was not 😄 fish was fine, wine was nice.

Came across this lovely pub by chance with a friend. Popped in for lunch, saw others having the Ranch Burger on the menu which looked amazing. I had burger, friend had all day breakfast. It was amazing, the presentation was lovely, it appeared the chef really took the time to make the food look great. Great value for both. Andy, the barman was extremely friendly and professional, couldn’t do enough for us! Great asset there! Would definitely return.

This was definitely on my husband’s list of places to visit when we were in London; and as the pub happens to be across from a Tube stop we were frequenting, it made our visit very easy! The pub is quite large, and there are several different levels you can sit at with actually a couple of different bars to grab your pint from. We only enjoyed beverages here. When we asked some locals where to get some food around the area, they told us that typically the food was not too good there, so we heeded that advice. Definitely a must stop on your pub visits while in London!

My wife and I popped in on the way to visit some friends nice atmosphere and the barman bought the drinks to our table after my Guinness had settled,very nice touch,we stayed for a second round!!!Could have stayed for the rest of the evening.

Nice welcoming pub. Friendly staff and people. Variety of drink choices~ including a sunny pimms for the good weather. Nice facilities. Good decent pub.

Prachtige pub met een goed restaurant in een oud maar goed onderhouden gebouw. Er is een grote variatie aan eten en de prijzen zijn normaal. Vriendelijk personeel.

It's a shame a lot of the pubs in the Hampton area have turned into overpriced gastros. The Worlds End may be the only real pub left in Hampton, no frills good old fashioned pub.

Fuimos un domingo y descubrimos una realmente deliciosa barbacoa! Yo soy muy exigente habiendo vivido en California y Nueva York durante 20 años y tener la mejor comida. Me pareció que la comida en general en el Reino Unido no suele estar muy bien y tengo que decir que este es de lejos mynew favorito que hacer un domingo, sentarse en su jardín con una copa de vino y disfrutar de una excelente barbacoa. Chris, el gerente del bar que lleva su barbacoa seriamente, realmente no sirven una delicia! Hay una zona para niños en el jardín con aparatos de escalada pero no es demasiado ruidoso o distracción. La clientela son variadas, algunas parejas, familias y personas simplemente relajarse en el precioso jardín ... pero la principal razón para visitar es para la barbacoa. Realmente delicioso!
