Absolutely loving it! 😍 we visited Edinburg for 4 days, and went there to eat twice 😂 Food is great, atmosphere is amazing. It’s a bar but the music is not disturbing high, we really enjoyed this place!

The atmosphere is top-notch. I’ve been to many pubs across the country but this one takes the cake. So cozy, so home-like. Lovely staffs. Didn’t make you feel alone even on a table for one surrounded by lovers and families. Love the Haggis Fritters: rich, creamy haggis with punchy whiskey sauce. My main was the pub staple Haddock Fish and Chips. The fish and the chips are fine, the beans however are not my cup of tea. The fermented tartar can get too tangy, too biting real quick, but this is just me nitpicking. I recommend booking in advance. Walk-in may not get you a seat as they are quite busy.

After a hike up Arthur's Seat my mates and I decided to go for some much needed scran. We found the world's end and decided to give it a go after looking at the reviews. We were slightly early for food being served so ordered some drinks and sat down. Impressively the staff can't back over straight away when it was time to order. I must say the service was brilliant, they couldn't have done anymore. One of my mates ordered chips rather than mash so when he advised he'd been given the wrong accompaniment they rectified straight away, allowing him to keep the mash but providing the chips. He was really pleased with that. I had the Korean chicken burger and it was amazing. We all enjoyed our food and I'd definitely recommend this place.

Great restaurant and pub. History makes this place feel different and cozy. Food was amazing and the sticky pudding incredible.

Very friendly waiters. The right environment. The food was very good, especially the “pie”. It is best to book especially on the weekend as it fills up quickly (many people came in asking if there was space but there were no free tables). Totally recommended to try typical food and local beer.

Lovely atmosphere! We were told about this pub by the HOHO bus staff. Had a few glasses of wine and met a few other Australians which was nice. Had dinner and enjoyed it. Definitely recommend this pub.

Not a great experience. The older skinny waitress with the tattoos need some further training on customer service. Barging through whilst huffing and puffing because the pub is busy, and literally pushing you out the way. Expensive tourist trap of a pub.

I ordered the Haggis Fritters with Whisky Sauce, which was on special. It was delicious, with a crunchy batter, and the haggis inside was quite rich and flavoursome. The presentation was also well done, and I appreciated the greens on the side as well. It was a quiet night when I went, but still quite warm and cosy. I ordered at the bar, and the gentleman behind the bar who took my order seemed a bit cold and aloof; like he didn't want to be there. Not that he was rude or hostile, just a little unwelcoming. I did appreciate him checking any allergies, however.

We went twice in one week. Excellent, the best place I've tried in Edinburgh. Very friendly and approachable staff. Right quality/price.

Nice Scottish place. Tried haggis for the first time, and it was surprisingly good. The waiter gave a great whisky recommendation and was very attentive.

Booking is a must for dinner at this nice and genuin Scottish pub down «the mile». Very noisy and filled up on a rugby night, but was helped with a separate dining area. Service was smiling but maybe not as attentive as wanted. Food was ok - go for the specials.

We had a lovely meal at The World’s End! The restaurant has a great atmosphere, and the food was very good. My husband and I had the steak and ale Pie dish, which was absolutely delicious, while our kids enjoyed the fish and chips—they loved it! Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant for a great meal and a nice dining experience.

We had a lovely meal at World’s End. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We hadn’t booked a table but were allowed a reserved one as long as we vacated in just over an hour. No problem! The food arrived quickly and was delicious. We purchased a t-shirt before we left too.

Obviously a tourist hot spot but the beer is very good and the staff super friendly.

James and Blair were great! They answered questions with humor and did not take offense to our American humor!😂 We ordered the fish an chips to share and enjoyed it very much! Tried a local whiskey and it was nice. Also had a cappuccino which hit the spot on a cold February day! The bar was recommended by local tour operator, Sean, and the history behind the bar was interesting! Great experience if your in the area, stop by!!

Dreadful place. Tiny inside , overcrowded. However the worst thing is they don't allow children in even to have a soft drink .so basically they only allow drunk adults. Pretty grim..no1 bar over the road were lovely and welcoming to me and my family . Avoid this place like the plague.

Great staff, great food! The fish and chips and chicken kiyv were tremendous, I couldn't fault anything ❤️ I also liked learning about cask ales, not my taste but very interesting! Knowledgeable staff!

Visited with our teenage son who is 16 for a soft drink. We were refused service simply for a soft drink. Staff were unfriendly. Went to the hostelry across the road who happily served us all soft drinks.

Dreadful. Came in with my lad and as he didn't have id, refused us 2 soft drinks. As visitors from England first time to Scotland this is a disgrace. Felt like clear discrimination against English and won't be back. I like the Scots but these people give the place a bad name. Not sure what's going on in Scotland but in England kids are allowed to drink soft drinks in pubs. Staff also rude about it absolute disgrace go to pub over road much friendlier

Found on Google on "bars to try" I must say that it met expectations. The place is very nice, classic pub style, how to eat we had a hamburger with chips and I must say it was really good, and as an accompaniment a good draft beer. Verdict: I recommend trying it and I will definitely go back.

Our experience at The World's End was fantastic. This dog-friendly establishment exceeded our expectations. The staff went above and beyond to care for our German shepherd puppy, providing him with water, treats, and even a special chicken breast cooked by the chef. As for us, we indulged in their tasty Steak and Ale pie and Chicken Kievs, both of which were superb. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service made our visit truly memorable.

A very nice place with very good reviews, that's why we went, although I can't say that they treated us very well, the guy who served us told us that he can't serve us without giving us the option to come back later or wait at the bar . We have gone opposite, it is called Number 1 and they are very friendly.

Poor service staff were abrup and a bit snappy no charisma. Apparently, had to book a table for food despite empty tables' bad business decision personally. As while in they turned away over 10 people looking for food who hadn't booked. Can't say I'll return

Fabulous little pub. Warmly greeted by a lovely girl at bar. Service excellent. Food amazing. Highly recommend the steak and ale pie or the special haggis pie. Fish and chips a good choice too. Booking a table is advisable as very busy. Highly recommend you come here for something to eat.

This historic location is also a must when visiting Edinburgh. Make a reservation in advance, otherwise you'll be stuck in your stomach. The food was good, the service was on point, the atmosphere was nice. I can recommend this restaurant.

Finally managed to get into this pub, as it is always very busy, as it is really small. We pop up here only for a drink, which was nice. Staff was more interested in themselves than customers, and it looked as customers bother them with their very important chatting. Said. Again, I think this place is overrated, nothing special. I was disappointed.

We had dinner here and drank some craft beers. The place is very beautiful and characteristic. The food was good and the fish & chips not heavy unlike many places in England.

I was a guest of this delightful and historic Pub on the evening of December 29th. The staff proved to be as kind as they were knowledgeable and they also recommended a delicious beer. Haggis excellent, beef with potatoes and cabbage very tasty. An experience that I will repeat as soon as possible.

Such a beautiful meal! I had the Haggis starter, which was absolutely perfect 👌🏻. The service was outstanding—they went out of their way to accommodate us, and we were truly grateful.

I really liked the place. We didn't have a reservation and we waited a little until they gave us one. We ate something quickly and it was actually very good. The attention from the staff is very good and the atmosphere is charming.

Best pub food I’ve had on our UK trip. If you’re a Mac n cheese fan, you must try theirs. I only had a side order of it with my meal, and it was the best I’ve ever had. Chicken kyiv and fish cakes were wonderful.

So pleasantly surprised !! We intended to go to a place across the street and it was too busy on Christmas Day . Instead we ended up here and soooo glad we did ! There is a very small menu (3 dishes to choose from) and quite tight space to eat. The service was lovely, the mulled wine was perfect and both the meat pie and dish/chips were delicious ! So pleasantly surprised and would most definitely go back !!

I won't lie, I went in because of the pub name (it has an interesting historical background) but the food was absolutely first class. Bangers and mash were on point and the servers were absolutely fantastic. The prices were good, too. 10/10 recomendation.

Fantastic!! Small cosy pub with a great atmosphere. We booked this in advance and so glad we did, food was amazing, service and staff exceptional. Will definitely visit again if we ever come to Edinburgh.

Good vibe and good reputation however our friend who came in the door excitedly after not seeing us for 6 months came through the door as a surprise for us. The lady behind the bar accused him of being too drunk, it was his first drink of the day… will not be back here.
