Loved it here so much we went twice. Haggis was amazing!

The place is a pub where the old city of Edinburgh ended. It has space to sit outside but the bar and seating are more incredible inside. Variety of craft beers and cocktails. With the best steak and ale pie I've ever had.

Great history in this bar, as with most of the city.

Loved stopping in here. Great history, tasty food and friendly staff. We grabbed a spot at the bar and throughly enjoyed the banter with the bar staff. Highly recommended and a must do when in Edinburgh.

The food was great and the atmosphere was very cool! Recommend booking ahead if you’re planning to have dinner.

A small bit cosy pub. Fun fact and picture about World's End. We had the homemade lentil soup as it was a freezing day and it was delicious and warming. We tried to have the fish and chips the next day but alas there was a queue out the door so a very popular place. We were pleased to have got in the day before. Well worth a visit.

Potted crab was terrible. The service was average at best. The atmosphere was fantastic though and so was the beer. Would go back, but not to eat.

On 6th April 2024, I visited this PuB for our lunch with my wife. All staffs were very kind, especially lady was so nice. Our ordered foods were very good. Although we saw this PuB, we couldn’t come to this PuB since 2019. Finally, we could visited there. It was very good. Looking forward to visiting again soon. Thank you.

We stopped in for a drink during our trip to Scotland and it was a cozy little pub with great service. It was lively but not so busy that we couldn't get a table after waiting a few minutes.

I went there today because of the many good reviews...Mac and cheese was okay...French fries a little too crispy. My table was exactly opposite the kitchen and unfortunately I didn't pay attention until after I had eaten there... The hygienic behavior of the kitchen staff is catastrophic: - One guy spent 70% of his time on his cell phone while leaning in front of the sink - but the arranger was the worst: For dessert, the cream is mixed with blueberry sauce in a plastic container for serving...including the leftover sauce that the cook still had on his finger and casually wiped off on the bowl and mixed in (no gloves were worn on this hand!) - To clean your hands, only a kitchen towel was used, which was also used to wipe the serving table... and to remove blobs of sauce on plates when serving... that can't be right!?! - Crumbs and dirt from the serving table are simply pushed onto the floor with the towel... During the entire 30 minutes of watching the chef prepare starters, main dishes and desserts, they didn't even wash their hands...just wiped them on a cloth. I drank my cider as quickly as possible, canceled the reservation for tomorrow and left.

Really enjoyed our visit. The place was packed, but the staff moved seamlessly the entire time we were there. We did not wait long for anything. Great Haggis Fritters. I had the Hake and my wife the Beef and Raclette Pie. Everything was very good. Sticky Toffee Pudding for desert. Good selection of beer and whiskey.

Great place for a pint. Full of history

Cozy place with great atmosphere and food presentation. Loved the steak with bernaise, the burger less so. The patty was overdone and dry.

We were well looked after by the young chap for both food and drink, polite, friendly and answered our questions. We both had steak and ale pie, was absolutely delicious, husband followed up with sticky toffee pudding which he said was also delicious. Great place, great food, great atmosphere, great staff, will definitely come here next time we are in Edinburgh

Very small but atmospheric traditional pub.

Very nice and quaint pub! The food was just amazing: I had Steak & Ale Pie and the beef could be split with a fork, the red wine sauce was lovely and pie was crispy! The gin is also highly recommended! The service was also very nice and friendly!

I got two classic burgers served with chips and onion rings. Also took two small drinks. Cost £43. Good quality, historic venue on the Royal Mile, a little dark inside, but pleasant atmosphere, very pub-like. They strongly recommend booking.

We have been visiting Edinburgh for the past 4 days and have come to the worlds end every night. We ate here this evening and it was a fantastic meal 10 out of 10 for us.. going home tomorrow but will be back next year to revisit our favourite pub ❤️

Got to break the Haggis cherry here and man was it good, in fact all the he food was excellent. Friendly with good food and cool historical placards and ambience. Definitely glad we stopped

Very good restaurant, good service. The dishes, burger and garlic breaded chicken are excellent. Good choice of beers.

Took shelter out of the rain for a few pints. Hats off to the bar staff keeping up out of a tiny area! Lovely atmosphere.

The pea soup tasted really good, and it came with hot ciabatta breads and butter. The wings and potted crab were also good options. The banana rum cocktail was also really good and recommended.

The place is very nice, the atmosphere is pleasant. I didn't eat there because they had ended service. According to the menu, I see the prices for the gastronomic offer as very high. The beer is also more expensive compared to other pubs in the area.

A nice Scottish pub in a historic building with very good food options and beer suggestions!

The food is amazing, the atmosphere is very welcoming, and the pints are brilliant. For as few beers as they have, it is still a fantastic selection. Something for everyone. Makes coming back for a pint or two an easy choice. But it is a small pub, so large groups aren't the easiest to accommodate, if you have one.

Historic little pub. The pub is located right outside what was the original city wall around Edinburgh (17th century). Everything outside the wall was referred to as "the end of the world". Hence the pub got its name. Tight for space, but pleasant.

You need to book a table in advance, or you won’t be eating here.

Iconic Edinburgh pub.. a must see.

Not only was the atmosphere and ambiance off the chart. They had the best fish and chips I tried in Scotland on this trip.

Fantastic food, recommendable fish and chips, which were delicious. The attention of 10, very friendly.

We had dinner here on the first Scottish evening, encouraged by the suggestions received and the fame of their fish & chips. We were welcomed well in a small (traditional) place: the environment is very typical. Unfortunately there weren't all the dishes we would have liked to eat and we had to fall back on second choices (apart from fish & chips). The service was very kind, friendly and a little chaotic (which, however, is part of its charm). I highly recommend taking a trip here to eat the fish & chips which are amazing!

Came in for lunch today on a whim and was pleasantly surprised! The pub itself is such a cosy rustic atmosphere and the steak and ale pie was to die for! I was being indecisive and was recommended this by Becky who was serving us. She asked what sort of thing I was looking for and suggested I try it, so we both did. Best customer service we’ve had in a long time on top of a lovely hearty meal, we’ll definitely be back!

Poor food, oily with bad quality raw materials, poor service, poor music, expensive prices. The funny pink haired waitress was gossiping about us to her friends and she stopped only when she realised we saw that. Poor them, not recommended!

Nice pub on the Royal Mile, friendly environment where I spent a nice Saturday evening, with live music, during my visit to Edinburgh. The Scottish Stout Beer is excellent.

Popped in for a few drinks to escape the rain. Lovely pub with a great traditional atmosphere and ambience. Asked the barman for a few suggestions and he was more than happy to oblige. Warm and welcoming all round. Didn't have the food but it smelt wonderful!

Came here after passing this pub last December. Wanted to visit so booked for a Valentine's meal. So glad we did. Great atmosphere, excellent customer service (I think our server was called Ryan. It said that name on the bill). The building has so much character. The food was lovely and I love that you can get pub merch. This was much needed after a terrible travel day. So lovely to get a little Valentine's treat bag at the end too. Definitely visiting again. Hopefully with my dog next too.

Have seen this pub on my last visit to Edinburgh and wanted to try it. Went in with my partner on 14th Feb. It well exceeded expectations. The atmosphere was great. The service was fantastic, our server Ryan was brilliant. Though it was very busy for Valentines Day, he had lots of time to give making it feel more welcoming and enjoyable. My partner loves the pub souvenir magnet and the small Valentines Day token gift, which made it even more special. Most certainly would visit again. 5 stars!

Must visit Edinburgh. We always love coming here for the best fish & chips in town and a good pint of beer. The service is also very nice.

I can't rate the food because we didn't order anything to eat, on our weekend in Edinburgh we were in this pub 2 times. The truth is that we really liked the decoration, the treatment of the waiters and the atmosphere, a very cozy authentic Scottish pub. Prices within normal limits in Edinburgh.

It’s a very shrewd use of time for a business to look like they’re offering communication in the reply but not actually providing any contact details therefore not needing to actually do anything 👍

With 9 other friends at the "end of the world"... excellent soups, fish & chips, salmon. It deserves 5 stars. Fast service. The venue is of UK standards. 3 stretched stars.

Cracking pub on a stag weekend very friendly

I visited on a Sunday around 4pm. Maybe because it was early, Even without a reservation, I was able to get in without lining up. deciding on an order It took a while, but The clerk waited without making an unpleasant face. In particular, Georgia's attentiveness was wonderful. When trying haggis for the first time, I chose fritters. I was hesitant because it was made from sheep's internal organs, but... It was so delicious! It has less odor than regular lamb meat. It was easy to eat. Both main dishes were delicious. It's nice to be able to sample three beers (one pint in total) for just £4. The non-alcoholic Ginger Beer is also delicious and recommended. The atmosphere inside the store was good and I was very satisfied 😊

There was 8 of us trying to get food and drink but you couldn't accommodate us together so we had a drink and left

Terrible selection of food, ran out of mac and cheese, very cramped, food was ok Yes it's old and has a lot of history but it's not worth it

Tourist bar. We couldn't order some dishes because the oven broke down. The food is average, some dishes better than others but there is nothing extraordinary. We felt bad that they made us wait for a table while they cleaned it but they moved several people before us until we had to go and claim the table. The place is curious and finally the waiter was friendly but it is still a tourist site where you are just another tourist.

We went here because my wife told me it had something to do with the show Outlander. I'm not an Outlander fan so thought it might be a bit touristy. While there were tourists, the service was fantastic, the food was really good, and we had a wonderful time. Definitely would recommend it!

It's a great spot to grab some whiskey and hang out. The live music was nice - it was more pop songs than folk if that's what you're looking for.

Couldn’t get burgers so was a bit gutted. Loved the haggis and then the Mac and cheese with chips though. Been a few times and the foods always amazing.

I'm not a pub person, usually, but in another life this establishment was my watering hole whilst waiting for a special someone to emerge from work or something nicer. We are told that evolution is almost mandatory, but I don't agree. 25 years later, and it's just like coming home. Same welcome, same atmosphere, didn't use the toilet so no evidence of inflatable sheep next to a machine selling tartan condoms as there was in 2009! Usual selection of alcoholic offerings, plenty of regional ales to keep me happy. Didn't eat this time, but there's no reason to suspect anything different other than excellence. No "Muzak", plenty of soft furnishing and corners to lurk in. Being at the far end of the 'Royal Mile' has it's advantages. It can get busy around food times, but on a cold winter night out of the tourist season (whenever that is) a welcome place to sit, consume a leisurely pint and read without pressure. Gets my vote too as hasn't adopted the 'treat the customer as a leper' "card only" philosophy, which I find lazy and insulting, and instantly avoidable. A huge bonus was they are (well behaved) dog friendly, even to the extent of keeping dog treats, though you might like to choose somewhere larger if your canine companion is much bigger than a Border Collie, say.... Having experienced hostility elsewhere on the day of our visit, following a recent decision by Wetherspoons to ban dogs other than service dogs, this place was a very welcome refuge from the terrible weather outside. I'm sure the proprietors won't mind me mentioning their sad, involuntary claim to infamy. Long ago in another time, though recent developments in forensic technology brought closure. I'll leave it to you, dear reader, to do your own research.... Enjoy!

Pub clásico con zona de comidas algo apartada. El lugar es muy acogedor y ofrecen gran variedad de bebidas. Recomendable.

Gezellig, maar druk. Vriendelijke bediening. Eten is zeker ok (Haggis o.m.) maar niet verfijnd

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Bedienung sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Als Nachtisch gab es einen warmen Apfelkuchen...sehr lecker.

Es un pub bastante famoso, es conocido porque antiguamente, justo donde está el pub, estaba la muralla de la ciudad y como cuando entrabas tenías que pagar impuestos, mucha gente no salió nunca de la ciudad, y para esta gente, aquí acababa el mundo, de ahí, el nombre. Tiene su propia cerveza además de gran variedad de ellas, también sirven comida, es un pub de ambiente agradable y atención buena.

Extremely delicious haggis!! Soft and tart, excellent presentation of the dish with cabbage in butter. Soup was amazing too. But most of all I liked the service - the waiter was attentive and caring. 10/10 recommend this place!

Festive menu isn't exactly Festive apart from some pigs in blankets as a starter. Food was not hot and venison overcooked. I feel it was overpriced and a bit of a waste of an evening.

Small, wonderful, warm After freezing your butt off in the cold weather stop in for a pint. Helpful staff (Kelly was friendly and had some great recommendations), amazing atmosphere, and very tasty food (mushroom chili was very good. Just enough spice). I'm sure there's a ton of pubs in the area worth visiting, but don't skip this one. I enjoyed it so much I stayed for a second beer.

In giro per Edimburgo nel tardo pomeriggio ci siamo trovati con mia moglie a bere due birre e a mangiare. Un normale pub scozzese se non si hanno pretese di fare chissà quale cena. Ad ogni modo lo consiglio per i ragazzi che si fanno in 4 per servirti e metterti a tuo agio e per l'ambiente caratteristico.

Love this pub. Despite appearances on the outside it's not a huge pub. But staff very friendly, beer good and the food is excellent.
