Good place to eat. The burgers are very good and the service is unbeatable. My 10!

The menu is technically a bit basic, but something about this place has me stopping in 2 or 3 times every trip to Edinburgh. This year was a winter holiday visit and their "Ham Who Stole Christmas" burger was incredible! Staff are always great. Seats are comfy, plenty of space in the dining room. Service is always quick. Will be back next time I'm in town!

We came here twice in one week, these burgers are unbelievably good and the service is amazing! Becca gave us awesome service and all of the staff were just lovely! Definitely a spot we will return to when in Edinburgh!

The restaurant is very pretty, with a pleasant atmosphere and a warm welcome. The servers are dynamic, smiling and really caring, which makes the meal even more pleasant. The portions are generous and the meat was tasty, although slightly burnt in places, which is a small area for improvement. Overall, a very good place to enjoy a quality burger in a nice setting!

Very well decorated place where you mainly have burgers to choose from, as well as wings and ribs. The burger menu is extensive and with surprising mixes, and they also have a gluten-free bread option. However, the burger was not at the level we would have liked, the meat disk was somewhat thin and we were not asked at any time about the point of the meat, so it was very dry and overcooked. If the meat is not completely delicious, it will ruin your burger. With all this, a hamburger plus a serving of potatoes (which go separately). It made me a little hungry. Another thing that we don't really like is that the bill includes an extra 10% tip to your bill. Which seems super violent to me, since a tip should be something that comes from the customer and not from the restaurant itself. You have the option to remove it if you tell them, but it is very violent. In their favor I will say that the attention they gave us was simply unbeatable, very attentive and friendly at all times.

Truffle shuffle is the best burger i have ever have in my entire life. I have to say that i’m not a truffle person but the balance is incredible. Also uncle sam is a great great burger. Onion rings and rosemary potatoes are also perfect. This place deserves it all. Applause to the chef!!

If you like burgers, you have a good variety at this place. The decoration of the place is brutal, just by seeing the entrance you can already get an idea of ​​what you are going to find inside. The team of waiters are very helpful and friendly, which will make your stay in the restaurant very comfortable. As for the quality of the hamburgers, I'm sorry to say that I've had much better ones (note, they're not bad, but they didn't even ask us how we wanted the meat, it's just that it's not made there) and at a much lower price ( (taking into account that it is Edinburgh), because if you come to this restaurant, be prepared to pay for a burger without fries or anything included as if it were gold; Furthermore, they were not big at all, and the portion of potatoes that we ordered on the side to share was barely enough to fill one person's belly. There are much cheaper options in the city. Without a doubt that was what we liked the least and what didn't fit us with the good service they provide, the atmosphere there, the music is good...if they lowered the prices or added fries, a drink or something to accompany the burger they would I would put more stars. The beers we ordered were delicious and they served us very quickly. We ordered the burgers: - Man vs Burger: it was delicious and the quantity was not bad. - Frying scots man: not a bad option if you fancy trying haggis in burger form. Advisable. - Yippe-ki-yay: we didn't like it at all, we expected something else and we didn't get it right. - The nut cracker: this was undoubtedly the best option, it is something different from what we had tried before. Advisable. By the way, they have wet lemon wipes on the tables to clean your hands, something we really liked.

We had a wonderful meal, food is really good. However, be aware that you are expected to clear the table within an hour and fifteen minutes. We did not know until the waiter told us 20 minutes before we had to go. Just so you know, food is definitely worth to pay a visit!

I am a local and this is one of my favourite places to eat. The staff is so lovely, the food is top notch and yeah it can be a bit touristy but it’s such a genuinely nice place. Also 5 stars for dealing with food allergies I have a severe nut allergy and my dad is lactose intolerant and we both managed to eat safely and taste lots of different delicious things. The atmosphere is amazing (GREAT indie playlist except they never play the vaccines)

Long queue if you don't have a reservation. The prices are a little high but I expected better quality, especially the meat. I wasn't asked about the doneness of my burger and I expected it to be done, since it's a hamburger restaurant. To my regret, the meat was well done, which didn't make the burger tasty. Service ok.

Absolutely wonderful! My husband and I enjoyed every aspect of our evening. The food was delicious. We enjoyed the Christmas burger with Brie, the Scottie dog hot dog, and the haggis loaded fries. Each item was brilliant! My husband enjoyed his beer and the Macaroon cocktail was an absolute win for both of us. Service was very good too. Ben was particularly helpful in explaining different items on the menu and making us feel welcome. Very kind, chilled, and helpful. A wonderful evening out!

Place where you can enjoy a good beer along with your dish, in a central location and where the quality-price ratio is adequate. The chicken was amazing and filling. I loved this place and it is appreciated that the service was also pleasant. Without a doubt I recommend this site and would repeat.

Decent burgers, mine was perhaps a bit overdone but the toppings were all good. Gluten-free buns available and staff seemed knowledgeable on what toppings were also GF. Overall the staff were great, little pricey though that will come with the location.

We really liked this place, and in fact we repeat. The food is delicious, the staff was very friendly and they give the children some paintings to entertain them. The decoration is nice and the only drawback is that if you go on the weekend, since the tables are very close together, it gets a little overwhelming.

Zane was an excellent server! Dined the previous night as well and Michelle was great too. Great food and service!

The food was delicious. We ordered 2 hamburgers that were good and some VERY good chicken wings. The sauce was finger-licking good. The perfect atmosphere. Ideal temperature, good background music, very cozy and well-designed decoration. The staff 10/10. Attentive all the time, very kind and friendly.

I come from Spain and it is true that the demand is very great, it is the most normal thing in the world, and it has a crazy price, two beef burgers, some wings, some fries and two waters 55 pounds plus 5 or so pounds for the waiter service, €73 for two people... If I were to say that it is something exceptional, look... But the most normal thing in the world, five guys is much better and cheaper, to give you an idea

It's a very cute place. The waiter was really friendly and talkative. The burgers were actually good. The chicken wasn't over cooked it was juice. My daughter hated the toppings on her hot dog, and it's bread. Can't win them all. It needed more seasoning, but that's probably a me thing, being cajun.

Was far too busy and tables crammed very close together, but it was a Friday night. Food was good, overpriced but it's a tourist area. Server cleared my plate when I'd finished and then asked my son if he could take his plate, even though he was still eating, appeared rude. Waited ages for the bill as the server was faffing around with a camera taking photos of a customer?? Was OK but I don't think I would return.

Amazing food. I got the “Cotton-Headed Ninny Muggins” which I was a little skeptical about the use of a candy cane for a hamburger.. but it was just stuck in the burger to hold it together and did not tarnish the flavor at all. Was definitely one of the better food establishments I’ve been to in Scotland. Also the first place to use dill pickles with the food and not sweet dill pickles which was a huge plus. Beer was also very good, service was fast and we got seated quickly despite it being very busy. Would definitely recommend eating here!

Good selection of burgers with Gluten-free option's. Had the bacon burger and my family had a salad & chicken sandwich. We had a nice waiter, but service was slow, and he never came back to check on us, I had to ask another server for refills and the check. Service needs improvement.

Perfect place to go with mates for exactly what it says burgers and beers. Burgers are huge and plenty of fries as well! Selection of beers is good. Service is fast, one of the best in Edinburgh. If you are visiting Edinburgh and want a casual place to go that you’ll leave feeling full then you must go here.

Lovely place, lovely food. Whole experience was marred by the fact that they assumed we would tip, and also assumed how much by and included it in the bill. Lacked class. Update: 20/11/2024 Sorry, the staff member did say it was optional, your response and restaurant's stance is the issue. The restaurant should not be applying a tip, assuming how much that should be, bring the bill down - and having the staff member say it was optional - is awful practice. Do better please. Thank you.

Can’t really knock the burgers as what we had each was really good. Only downside is the prices, just don’t think you get value for money per burger considering non come with fries.

Probably the most expensive Burgers we eat and they were far from the best (average bun, local racy meat but clearly overcooked,…). Fries in addition to the burger priced at £17.99, and their quality does not justify paying extra for them. In total, £60 (€75) for 2 burgers, 2 fries and 1 pint). However, nice place and friendly service.

Very tasty burgers and ribs, especially the ribs were extremely tasty and literally fell off the bone. Very friendly and you have the option to order at the table using your cell phone.

Amazing place to have a burger in the heart of Edinburgh. Lovely and exquisite combination of possibilities to have your fries. You can build your own burger too. I had a vegetarian option chicken crispy alike. It was really good. Really recommend the place. The service was really good too.

Pricey to say the least- optional service charge added to bill without having been given the option which is very cheeky. Food dry and tasteless- peppercorn sauce small and lackluster in kick/ chicken dry and to say half a chicken was a bit far/ Mac and cheese lacked taste/ salt and pepper chicken wings were good however. Drinks very expensive for a standard. Staff were very friendly but the price is not justified for what you get, we didn't get a burger because we couldn't stomach paying £18+ for a burger without fries

15/10 food was amazing! They gave me the wrong burger but Ryan handled it exceptionally well, got it sorted straight away, claimed responsibility and sorted me out with a half pint on the house!! 🍺🍺

Wanted to try haggis, tried going to oink, too busy. Gave up on the idea when I stumbled across this place. I saw they had haggis fritters as a starter, so I got them alongside a burger and chips. Food was amazing, service was very good and the staff were awesome. Especially the lovely lady who checked up on my impression of Haggis. Keep up the good work guys! You're appreciated by tourists like me 🔥

A cozy and very friendly restaurant with great service. The food was excellent and the staff was extremely attentive. The atmosphere was a bit loud and busy, but that fits well with the lively vibe of a burger restaurant.

Food was very mid for the price you pay. Nearly 18£ for just a burger (without fries). You end up paying over 23£ for a burger and fries and it’s not even wow. If the food was cheaper the review would be much better. To justify the price the burger must be absolutely incredible, and it isn’t.

What a strange experience. I can't get over it: mac'n'cheese pasta in a hamburger. For me, it's a flop. I didn't like it at all. The sweet potato fries with bacon and cheddar weren't great either. My cocktail wasn't good either, too much soda and not much aperol and prosecco. The worst part of all this: the ultra-salty bill when we only had a drink each and a burger with fries. Around 85 pounds even though I didn't like anything 😥. For me, it's worth avoiding, there are much better elsewhere and for less money!!!

On the menu, all prices are displayed, except for burgers. We understand the disappointment when the bill arrives: more than €20 per burger... served without the extra fries!! Luckily it was relatively good, but the same really can't be said for the fries. The cocktails aren't really great either (at 15€ per cocktail...). The vegan mayo sauce was delicious though! In short, we overpay for everything in this restaurant. 102€ for 2 burgers and 2 cocktails, I had never paid so much for a burger restaurant!

Didn’t have good dining experience because of a rude and inconsiderate restaurant manager. We came with a dog and were told we are only allowed at the bar area which is totally fine. After awhile, our dog was getting nervous with people walking thru the bar area and waiting to be seated. We asked one the employees if we would be allowed on the decking area which is also part of the bar area and she said yes. However the manager came and said this is not allowed, while we tried to explain to him saying one of the staff allows us, he responded with “ I am the manager and I make the decision”. He could have responded in a better way but instead, handling this such cocky and disrespectful manner. While the food is tasty and the other employees are lovely, the restaurant should think about whether having this manager is a right decision as he totally ruined our dining experience. There are a lot other restaurants who provide a better and more courteous service than this manager.

On a recent three-day trip to Edinburgh, my wife and a few friends treated ourselves to eating out for every meal, but this place truly stood out for me. I had the "Born Sloppy" burger, and I can confidently say it was even better than the burger I had at Gordon Ramsay's "Bread Street Kitchen", which is saying something, as that burger was delicious too! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the prices were reasonable. The staff was also friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. If you’re in Edinburgh, I would highly recommend!

Food was great and our waitress Becca was fantastic, insisted on cleaning up the mess I made when spilling drink everywhere (again very sorry😅). All around good vibes with a playlist that played banger after banger.🤘 Deffo reccommend 👌

Popped in for a late lunch. Service & food was spot on. Catered to a tree nut allergy within our family really well & adapted the meal which made our 10 year old very happy. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly! Food was all tasty but kids especially loved their milkshakes! Definitely recommend

Updated-we loved it so much, we went back for the 2nd time before leaving EDI. This time had the fried pickes/frickles, and another wonderful burger, the Nice 'N' Cheesy- oh my goodness, so good and couldn't eat it all. Oh and the wings are very tasty. You got to try the sweet heat sauce. This is a must stop. Just about 3 doors down from Giles Cathedral on same side of street. Ask for Mac or Dan. They are just the best. Mac loves to laugh and have a great time. Best burgers in town. Uncle Sam burger was delicious. Rings are some of the best I've ever eaten. Service was excellent. Couldn't ask for more. Would come back again wings looked great on next table. This is a must stop for burgers

Restaurant was clean, and small in the main eating area, but seemed spread out. Very nice decorations for Halloween. The burgers were delicious, but the fried pickle was a little lackluster. The Halloween cocktails were also delicious, but on the pricier side of things. Our waitress was very nice, and even asked if we had any plans for the rest of the day.

Great waiters, the food is delicious, be careful for a French person the price can be shocking but it's worth it, first time in Edinburgh and if I go back I will come back to this restaurant.
