Popped in for a late lunch. Service & food was spot on. Catered to a tree nut allergy within our family really well & adapted the meal which made our 10 year old very happy. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly! Food was all tasty but kids especially loved their milkshakes! Definitely recommend

Disappointing in every way. Funnelled through with little attention and served average food which was overpriced and greasy.

During our 4 day trip to Edinburgh we visited the restaurant three times and were never disappointed. Great food, amazing service and an overall great impression. We can totally recommend this location!

Served by Kayleigh, service was amazing! Checked in regularly with us to ensure we were happy and didn't need anything, but not so often as to disturb the experience. The food was amazing, and recommendations for drinks were also given and were spot on. She showed great knowledge of the menu and flavour profiles of the drinks specifically, which really helped when deciding what to have. The cocktails we ordered were delicious, beautifully made, and the presentation was lovely. Service was also fast, which was great. The same goes for the food. It was served quickly and to a very high standard. It looked lovely and tasted even nicer. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice burger and cocktail!

You know when you just want a burger and chips with no nonsense? This was the perfect answer to that craving of mine. The burger itself was great, no complaints but what made me want to leave a review was the brilliant host who was so welcoming and charming. Very good at her job in a way that made me feel important without overbearing. The only negative was the fact that I watched the guy next to me eat his burger with a knife and fork???

Kayleigh was amazing! And most restaurants you’re looking for where your waiter is, but she literally was always there at just the right time, but not being overbearing. Menus were there quickly, drinks were there nearly instantly, food was amazing and we didn’t have to wait very long, and then I was able to just make up a dessert by adding some alcohol to my very tasty Oreo sundae.

I had a wonderful experience at Burgers and Beers Grillhouse restaurant in Edinburgh. The burger Uncle Sam and Independence Day were delicious, and the service was excellent. I want to give a special shoutout to 👏🏻👏🏻🤍, the waitress, Becca who made our meal extra special. I would highly recommend Burgers and Beers Grillhouse restaurant to anyone visiting the area.

Amazing Frikles (fried pickles) and delicious burgers. Our server, Kayleigh, was so courteous and friendly, as was the rest of the staff. Highly recommend.

Everything was great. Tables could have been spaced apart a little more. We had to move our table some for people to get by.

Looks great here. Were only there for a short time. We only drank one pint. The atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff are very good. Had a little chat with one of the waiters.

Burger ok but maximum 3 stars out of 5. Bread way too thick and tasteless. Service top. Great fries! Onion rings too oily, leave it alone, you can't do it, disgusting. Wings ok. Drinks from Sodastream are absolute naughtiness. Offering something like that should be banned. Coke zero tasted like chlorine because of the tap water. Can't understand something like that. There were no fries with the burger and you had to order them separately. That too is incomprehensible. I would like to understand a boss like that. What goes on in someone like that? Why do you have to destroy your reputation because of such little things? Just serve real Cola, earn money with the real Cola, but please don't use flavored tap water, that borders on fraud!

We did the Scotch Whiskey Experience and then ate here. It was great. Exactly what we wanted. The burgers, rings, dipping sauces, delicious. Naughty treats, yes, but done perfectly with a nice staff and comfortable atmosphere/music.

Great food, good service, extra charges not appreciated Sep 2024 Great food, good service, extra charges not appreciated! So, we asked for a lager shandy. which we got. But when it came to the bill, we were charged an extra £1.90 (on top of £7.90 for the lager) for a 'dash' of lemonade!! When you pay full price for a lageryou don't expect to pay for lemonade too. Just another way of eeking out money from the customer. Also, extra charges for fries with a burger (which did look good)?? Pubs would get lynched of they did that! Great experience, but over priced.

Mac was a great server. Fast, and friendly. Burgers were good. Cokes a little small for the price. But eating on the mile is always more expensive.

Very happy to have discovered this place as we were walking around. We didn’t have a reservation (don’t know if they’re needed) and were promptly seated. The menu has more than just burgers & beer so you’re sure to find something to enjoy. Our servers were kind, friendly and attentive.

We chose to dine here for its gluten free options. The gf burger was really good and the bun was also good. The chips are fried in a separate fryer to ensure They're gf. They also had a choice of gf beers. The service was great attentive without being always at your table

Overpriced. Although the meat was ok the brioche bun was dry, almost stale. The bacon wasn't cooked in fact I'm sure I heard it grunt when I bit into it. Why do these places use the cheapest frozen fries? At £5.50 for a handful surely the customer deserves better. I did mention it to the waitress upon leaving that it might an idea to advise the chef to cook the bacon. The coleslaw was quite nice but again it should have been for £5.50.

FIVE STARS FOR THE BEST SERVER EVER - ZOE! What a rockstar. We (Americans) didn't realize that not many restaurants stay open late in Edinburgh and we needed to grab a quick bite before seeing a Fringe Show. Burgers and Beers was one of the only places serving food til 10. Not only did Zoe go above and beyond to make sure my friend could get a gluten free meal, even bringing out the full ingredient list for her, but she also got us our food and checks so quickly. We made our show in time and had a great meal. The burger was delicious and I loved having the option to add vegan cheese!

I went there because it was famous, but the staff was friendly and provided good service, but I have to say the burger was a mess. The bun was overcooked and dry, and the chicken patty was burnt and had a foul smell. Also, the beef patty was overcooked and not juicy at all, so I couldn't eat it, so as a burger fanatic, I couldn't eat the worst burger, so I had to leave it for the first time. The staff is friendly, but is the chef the problem? It was a disappointing lunch.

We came here with a group of seven people. After a quick study of the reviews and pictures, everyone spontaneously developed an appetite for ribs. All seven people loved the ribs. Reception and service were also good. I would rate the price level as appropriate to the situation.

In off the street, having failed to book a table anywhere, this was a first-class experience. From "front of house" to moving table [our necessity accomodated without quibble] to drinks order, to food order, yo the meal and drinks quality, to checking all okay, to table experience, to getting the bill, to seeing us out. Absolutely first class from first to last. Bravo!

Terrible place to go! EXPENSIVE, the worst burger I have ever tried and you have to order by yourself in an app and you still have to Tip + service fee. The most expensive place. The burger was cold, the bun super old bread, not warmed. The price of the Cheapest burger is around 17 £ - DONT GO! The place is loud and not cozy at all and the table where we sit was so dirty (we cleaned it)

Lovely burgers in a special setting. Service is excellent and very quick, and burger was absolutely amazing. Pictured is the ‘Nice ‘n’ Cheesy’. The view out onto St Giles is also breathtaking.

Luke was our server, and he was fabulous! He gave us some great drink recommendations - the metropolitan was our favorite - and the food was delicious as well. Great atmosphere and great service!

Hip burger restaurant in the heart of Edinburgh. The service was super attentive and you could put together the burgers yourself or order them from the menu. Unfortunately my chicken was a bit dry, but otherwise the burger tasted delicious. However, for the price of around £17 per burger plus side dish, I expect more. The atmosphere indoors is not very pleasant because the music was played very, very loudly and you couldn't understand the person you were talking to. Overall, we would visit the store again.

One thing in advance: The burger “Man vs. Food” was very tasty!! The fries and onion rings were really good too! Why only 4 stars: Personally, I was bothered by the sometimes very loud “background music” and the uncomfortable chairs at the tables. These two facts somewhat destroyed the initially comfortable atmosphere. You literally have to shout at each other when talking to the person sitting next to you, and after a short while your bottom starts to hurt. The burger is also served on a small metal tray with a piece of paper on top. After a short time, the burger or the sauce had softened the paper so much that you had to constantly pick scraps of paper out of the food to avoid eating it. This definitely needs improvement. Otherwise you can eat very well here if you get hungry in Edinburgh 👍🏼 I would come again.

Unfortunately nothing special. Rather a cool restaurant, which unfortunately only offers fast food and no good quality burgers. The food was very greasy and standard. The restaurant was too crowded and too narrow. It was incredibly loud and everything seemed hectic. You can't have a relaxing evening like this. My conclusion 4/10 I wouldn't come back.

Over priced and poor quality wine. Ordered via the table top QR code and paid by Apple Pay. Only then do you realise you have already been charged a 10% Service charge whether I wanted to or not.

Great meal with the family! Waitress was brilliant, did a great job with a fab personality. Looked after us very well and gave me every confidence that the coeliacs in our group requiring gluten free were in good hands. Lots of choice and good food!

Absolutely outstanding service, (Zoey I think) was so friendly and welcoming, she also made some very good food recommendations. The food itself was very tasty but it was a bit expensive. All burgers around £18, sides not included are added for £5.50-£6.50.

We visited here on a Friday night, during the Fringe. We booked in advance, which was definitely essential at this time of year. The service was excellent from start to finish. Burgers were good, but a bit undercooked. We got by, and probably should have said we wanted well done. Feel the burgers are also a bit overpriced. Understand it’s a prime location, but still overpriced for what you get. Mixed experience, and probably wouldn’t return.

Serving burned hamburgers should be banned in Scotland…. Worst hamburger ever stay away if they are crowded. They are burned unbeatable fresh hamburgers….. Exaggerated….

Sometimes you go into a restaurant and you remember the food, maybe the drinks, the atmosphere, the people you were with...But for Burgers and Beers...the first thing we will remember is the waitress " Mac". What an amazing waitress. Her personality and attitude were memorable. And...And....she was wearing a Buc-ees T- shirt...imagine...the 1st person we meet is wearing a Buc-ees T- shirt..( Google Buc-ees)...!!! Awesome.. So Mac takes center stage but the food was great as well. Some of the best wings I have had in awhile. Nicely fried, dry rubbed, and covered in chilis.. The hot dog..well...not a Hot Dog...its like a big sausage. In a big soft bun. Covered in some big sauce..everything about the dog is big. You cannot pick it up and eat it...its like a knife and fork thing...!!! Hamburger, nice big bun, nice big patty, just an awesome Hamburger. The only negatives were its a bit pricey. But you are in Edinburgh, it is in the prime tourist area...soooo...your gonna pay. Would definitely come back, and make sure " Mac" was waiting on our table...!!!

Fantastic food and service. My husband and myself got the uncle Sam's burger omg it was amazing we got hand cut chips yes you have to pay for them extra but they were worth it, the next time we're in Edinburgh we will make another visit

Goodness, the hotdog was delicious! So much flavor! The burger also did not disappoint and great outdoor seating for people watching, especially as the Fringe festival came into its final day's. We saw John Oliver taking a walk down the Royal Mile. Very cool! Excellent staff, so friendly, very kind and helpful! Outdoor seating is self serve, you pick a table and scan a QR to order. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture! Get the dog! Also, if you fancy a fruity cider, you must try New Zealand's Old Mout Pineapple and Raspberry Cider.
