Long waits, short staff, on table people had finished the meal before the last person got theirs.

With 20 minutes notice due us being let down last min by another place, the staff went above & beyond for a 40th party celebration of 15 people. They made it relaxing & enjoyable for the children, even supplying colouring sheets & crayons. Very welcoming & will be returning in future.

Cannot praise the staff and management enough, they managed to cater for a party of 15 (40th birthday) with 20 mins notice, after we had been let down elsewhere. Service was brilliant, food was delicious and bought out in reasonable time, considering we were unexpected they were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble.

Friendly staff, good food, pub was nice and warm on what was a freezing cold day - all in all, an enjoyable evening!

Food was good but noticeable enough staff on to cope with the heavier demand.

First time visiting the pub/restaurant for my 9yr old boys birthday last night and it was honestly terrible, I told the restaurant several times to make sure all meals come out at the same time they brought the adults meals out and no child’s meal 10 mins later still wasn’t with us, yet other customers (adults) was getting there meals! So i asked them what’s happening they said it was being made now, came out 5 mins later by the time it came out the adults meals was cold so most was wasted. Fancy leaving a child to wait for their food is absolutely disgusting I felt awful. and to top it off the adults meals was missing the mac and cheese because apparently they hadn’t got any, the fact is they I should of told us they didn’t have this so we could change our meal but they didn’t tell us until they served us the food! Shocking service and shocking place will not be returning. What a waste of money. I was warned by other it wasn’t a good place but I thought I’d try it for myself what a shambles than was.

My personal view on The Woolpack is we as a family use the venue most days for drink and socialising and on the odd occasion meals. We enjoy the atmosphere and the vibe the place has to offer with the local crowd, and The Woolpack wouldn’t be the same without their locals.

Food was good and very well priced. service was a little slow but the pub was quite full. Staff was very helpful.

What a shame lovely pub n staff had to wait over 45 minutes for food as obviously not enough kitchen staff we were there at 12 o'clock in the hope that we would be served quickly.

Great value for money. The halloumi sizzler is amazing. Staff are friendly and always have a smile on their face. We love coming to Rock n Roll Bingo on a Sunday evening 😊

Amazing pub, great staff, Chris, Owen, she’ll, greg and Zara. Here every Sunday for some good old rock and roll bingo. Food is always good from steaks, burgers, ultimate plates and most importantly the desserts. If your looking for a good family pub with evening entertainments this is your go too

Great place to visit especially on a Sunday for the rock n roll bingo.

A brilliant place to spend a couple of hours eating, socialising and joining in the events they have organised. We particularly enjoy Rock and Roll bingo and the Tuesday night quiz. The food is good value for the price and the staff are warm and friendly.

We booked as a party of five including a child and elderly parents but on arrival were told we had been put on two seperate tables by the door so were cold due to a constant draft everytime someone walked in or out of the pub. We asked if we could move to a different table on the raised area as there were plenty of spare tables although everyone had dirty plates and glasses on but was told we had to stay on our allocated table as all tables were reserved. These tables were never cleaned until just before we left almost two hours later and no one used the tables! The empty bottle skip which is usually kept out of sight behind the bar was overflowing and placed in front of the bar causing a hazard. The pub was very understaffed. Only one person behind the bar and one peron bringing the food out. With the manager helping out occasionally I don't think i've ever seen so many people walk into a pub and take one look at the state of it and walk out again. The sad thing is the food was not to bad for the price but we will not be returning despite living local.

The atmosphere was encouraging. Would love to visit there again again.

Our second time ime to the Woolpack the staff are very helpful, Michelle how serviced me was very helpful with the menu and what to order, the food was excellent and worth the money, would highly recommend and will be going again

The Woolpack is a really nice place. I had a great time celebrating my best friend's birthday; I won't say what birthday he celebrated as he might get mad at me ;) The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great and very friendly. The kids had fun playing their first pool game ever! But if you celebrate a birthday, bring your own disposable plates for a cake.

We were on business in the area and wanted to eat, so decided on the Woolpack. That was our first mistake. The service was slow and the staff seemed to prefer chatting amongst themselves, rather than serving the customers. The gents toilet was closed and according to one of the regulars at the bar, had been out of action for a couple of weeks! This only left the single disabled toilet available and the door wouldn't close on that. We actually saw some Men urinating in the shrubs in the beer garden.. The food was ok, the service was pretty poor and there was no sign of any management? The next time I'm in the area, I won't be bothering with the Woolpack!

7 of us came for a meal we found the place rather cold and the food took over an hour to arrive , the food was good and staff pleasant atmosphere seemed a bit intimidating to me .but may return everyone has a off day.

there was a noisy party not far from our table - the staff should have asked us if we would have liked to be moved further away.

The atmosphere was great and super lively the food was amazing it left a extravagant taste in my mouth the workers and customers were amazingly polite 10/10 service .one of the workers was called Grace and was super joyful and lively making my day definitely eating here again

Delicious food, meat fell off the bone. Staff warm and welcoming, lovely experience.

Instead of a take away we decided to pop into our local Sizzling, great choice, we had rib and rump, meat fell off the bone from our ribs and the steak was cooked beautifully, all the staff were great with us and made sure we all enjoyed our visit, especially grace she was great with our children, thanks to you all will definitely be back soon

Enjoyed a nice meal here but the room was a bit too dark and cold, saving money on lighting and heating I guess. Tables were not being cleared very quickly. Otherwise I would have rated higher.

I come every Sunday with my family to Bingo hosted by Greg, it is a brilliant evening out I thoroughly enjoy myself. Often have food and it is always excellent, followed by excellent service from the bar staff and waiters such as Owen and Chris etc. highly recommend if your thinking about coming

We come into the Woolpack most days, and very rarely get a bad meal. The staff, on the whole, are very welcoming. We particularly enjoy Rock and Roll Bingo on a Sunday which is always good for a laugh, with a cash prize draw at the end 🤞

Had a great time at the Woolpack,my wife and I had a lovely meal ,I had fish and chips and my wife had a sirloin steak both were cooked beautifully and we had a couple of drinks to go with our meal,we were served by a lady called shell she was very polite .

Popped in for lunch. Both had fish and chips didn't have to wait long, food was bought out piping hot with a friendly smile from staff, Who were very accommodating. Would recommend

Very basic, I had deluxe burger and chips but you get nothing else with it. No veg no salad very disappointing won’t be coming back.

Popped in at 5:30pm on a Monday after work for tea. Had Chicken Tikka, rice, naan, poppadom & chips. Followed by sticky toffee pudding. Fairly busy but didn’t have to wait too long. Curry was great. Service great

A huge thank you to Michelle for rescuing what was heading towards being a disaster of a birthday meal. The 5* for service is 100% just for Michelle, who went above and beyond to make sure our evening was enjoyable. The food, when we received it, was great.

Came in the other day with a friend who’s moved from the local area and shell had gone out of her way to warm some milk up for her coffee so she could still have a warm milk coffee. Incredible service from shell. Sara , Owen and shell are a credit to Mitchell and butler .

Hi we regularly use this venue most weeks and found it to be very competitive on price especially with the app and loyalty stamps. The food is of good quality and the staff are very friendly.

We come here quite often and the staff are always really friendly! Owen and Shell are 2 of the best bar staff I’ve ever been served by! The food for the price is decent and I can’t complain! If you come on a Sunday evening you can join in on the “rock n roll” bingo which is always great fun! Would definitely recommend the pub to anyone who asks!

This is my local pub but without being too biased the staff are superb, the food, especially the mixed grills are fantastic value for money. A great place to have a chat with friends & family, would highly recommend it 👍

Great food and great atmosphere, You can also order from Just Eat I did have a mix up with my order from Just Eat and they provided no help but with help Owen from the Woolpack managed to help sort the small discrepancy out great service and very helpful person.

Food was lovely, well cooked, great price and the staff couldn't do enough for us made our evening very enjoyable. This will definitely be somewhere we return to.

We came here today and was my choice to visit here. I'm glad we did, the food was delicious, service was good and very reasonable for 4 of us. Tables were nice and clean with no sticky residue and staff were friendly Had a couple of cocktails to finish. We'll definitely be back as was excellent.
