Noisy. Bacon was overcooked and shrivelled. Tomatoes were cold in the middle - plate was filled with potato squares - butter was rock hard coffee wasn't hot enough Staff were lovely

Chilli chicken breast inedible, I’ve had dried fish that was moister than this. Table staff apologetic but still charged for a meal I didn’t eat. Be warned this is style over substance.

Lovely food and service once again , it’s nice to sit outside when weather is good love this pub and the price is reasonable would recommend

Great looking menu with 40% off selected menu. Ordered Chicken tikka masala.Was so disappointed, very small portion of tasteless Chicken curry, dry unseasonal rice, dry naan bread ,dry poppadoms.Warmed up chips. Could be a lot better .

Had lunch here, didn't realise it was Golden Years afternoon with live music. Could still choose from main menu or set menu. It was extremely busy, however, the service was great and we were very well looked after by Gemma. The food was lovely and piping hot. From Calamari, steak, burgers, Sea Bass, fish and chips. The triple cooked chips are home made and delicious. A lovely couple of hours!

Great to see a local public house doing so well. Lots going on, nice atmosphere especially on sunny days. Food ordering was slow but it was particularly busy. Restaurant area was very hot, needed a touch more air con. Food was average for the price and I'm not sure if there was an issue with the fryer, but the triple cooked chips were really greasy and soggy. Probably the worst chips I've ever had (or not had as I couldn't eat them) Considering it was our first visit I would try again but opt for another dish.

I booked the upstairs room for my 30th for a family meal. I had 43 people attending. I preordered all the meals and any alternations ask for to the meals were done. Not one single meal got sent back or left. Everyone commented on how lovely the food was. We all had a great night. Cannot thank the staff enough for how accommodating they were. Such a smoothly run night considering the room was full of carnage with kids and family. Thank you for making my 30th meal so special xx Ps the chocolate brownie is amazing!

Second time here. Elton John tribute night with my sister. Absolutely fab night! Clean, well decorated and brilliant atmosphere. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Food is amazing st reasonable prices. Didn’t stop singing & dancing till closing time!

Me and my family came here for a meal lastnight 16/4 and left full of smiles. We chose to come to the woodlands as we all wanted the nachos. We were served and also told by Liv that a new menu had been released that didn’t include the nachos, we were all devastated LOL. Liv however lightened up our spirits! there were jokes and laughs all evening and she was especially amazing with our 3 little boys. Such a credit to the place! The owners should be proud. The food was spectacular the service was spectacular the pub was spectacular we can’t fault a thing (except for the lack of nachos haha!) All in all we will be returning and recommending. Thanks a lot!

Had an absolutely lovely day here took my mum for afternoon tea with Prosecco , food was lovely and plenty of it . It was lovely and fresh ( its really hard to just have plain ham sandwiches anywhere ) but not here they were really accommodating. Its a very popular place as it’s featured on groupon . We arrived at 1pm and left at 6pm had lots of drinks as it’s got such a lovely welcoming atmosphere, and decorated beautifully especially the toilets they are spotless. Had a lovely girl called Olivia that looked after us all day she was very friendly, polite and a great asset to this pub . Thanks for a lovely day and we’ll definitely be back soon

We've been twice this month, once for afternoon tea and again for Sunday Lunch. Both visits were outstanding, lovely staff, tasty food and excellent service. It was lovely to meet one of the owners and see her chatting with customers and also helping by taking orders, clearing tables etc. This will be one of our favourite places.

We attended with our Groupon vouchers before Christmas and honestly couldn’t fault the food at all. Today was a different story. Asked if we had a voucher which was scanned and food was delivered. Bread was dry as if sat there uncovered for a while, sandwiches were tuna, cheese, egg and ham and pickle. Pickle was delicious, ham was cheap processed stuff, on the whole sandwiches were mediocre. Sausage roll was delicious. Fruit scone, shop bought macaron, two tiny bite size pieces of cake, one sponge, one carrot. One small pot of jam and cream to share between 6 of us, we asked for more and it was brought immediately. On the whole the afternoon tea was ok, nothing special, just ok

Received an afternoon tea groupon voucher for Christmas, went today and the staff could not have been less helpful. Pointed to our seats, afternoon tea delivered and then the staff avoided us at all costs. Tea&Coffee included as advertised but couldn’t find a member off staff to order from. Couldn’t find a manager to escalate this to, therefore left. Food was okay. Rang and spoke to the manager who couldn’t have seemed less bothered. Horrible woman. Will not be returning, or recommending.

The food had no taste ordered beef stew with dumplings received with no dumplings and meat hardly any when complained was very quick to give discount but that was not the point and I did not take discount . I will not go back to eat there again. The only saving grace they do not brew there own beer so enjoyed the beer.

Food was nice, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Couldn’t rate any hire only because we waited for over an hour for our meals.

Come here about twice a month, the food is excellent as are all of the staff. It’s a cut above what you’d expect from a bar/grill and that’s why it’s pennies dearer than bog standard “pub grub.” The staff are brilliant , I’ve yet to come across any of them who have been anything but friendly, attentive and helpful. I’ve never been able to get to any of the day or night events yet, but hope to. The place is absolutely spotless and the toilets are cleaner than the dining area is in most pubs. Just watch the sharp turns in and out of the car park.

Had a lovely evening Sat 11/11/23 - party of 14 we pre ordered our food which was really lovely. Service was great, singer Ste Williams was on and he’s great too. Really enjoyed the whole evening will definitely return.

Spent an afternoon with the folks enjoying an afternoon tea. As it was was Golden Oldies afternoon, there was entertainment and bingo. Apparently these afternoons happen once a month with a fixed price lunch menu. Really enjoyable time with a delicious afternoon tea 😋

Amazing! We had the high tea with Prosecco and it was gorgeous. The staff are so lovely and we will be returning soon! We came a few weekends ago and had Aperol Spritz here and it was lovely. Totally recommend!

Went here for the Golden Years afternoon because my Mum (99 years young) had been before and had a great time listening to the singer who belted out lots of 60’s classics. It isn’t my thing really but to be fair he was very good...

Had afternoon tea which was really good. Ended up staying so long we then had dinner which was equally as good. Lovely staff, great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Took Mum and Dad here for lunch on Mum’s birthday in April. I’d heard from a colleague that the place had been refurbished and was worth a visit. Really impressed with the restaurant/pub, service and food. We were shown to our table, as we had...
