Bar maid insisted I'm gorgeous so I've now got new favourite pub in port

Food is great, especially the sizzling plates, my favourites are bbq beef or salmon. Can be noisy sometimes.

Great. Food and the pub. Back there again tomorrow.

Visited this pub to watch man utd v Fulham. Didn't eat Needed a toilet break so went into bar toilet (male) Found it full so flushed but no movement,wee all over floor Had to rush to other side of pub to not much of a prettier site, I approached duty manager as to who I can get in contact with and her response was I'll deal with it, do you want free drinks on me??? After deliberation I asked her to blank off the toilets that wernt working so nobody else with IBS gets caught out, I seen her push a member of staff into gents toilets with tape, I don't know if he closed loos off Owner of pub " give your head a wobble" Vanessa "duty manager" you're better than this place

Would love to give a better review. New offers on staff did not know what they doing not been informed of promotion even though it was on the billboards. The curry we had had at 2 other locations before but this one was like eating magma. Way too spicy

Service was amazing . The lady that served was lovely and made sure we got reimbursed for the food issues. Food was very disappointing overall. The steak was well over cooked and they left the end of the lettuce on the plate There were brown bits on the salad and onion skins on the plates. Also they changed the salad completely from a superfood salad to a basic salad, which isn't great at all.

Ordered takeaway from here. Loved the ability to customise items on my order. Wonderful chicken burgers and chips, ready on time. Staff were very friendly.

Food was kinda dry and some of the staff weren't very friendly, but the drinks were tasty ... as a traveler I was confused by ordering and different staff instructed me to do different things so I didn't really enjoy my dinner here

Went again this weekend and was so impressed again by the value for money and the meals were generous portion.

I have highlighted the state of your toilets in a previous post, you replied “much has changed’, really? Visited last week, and I can tell you that you need to sack your cleaner. See image. (That’s filth, built up over months and months) Btw, is this the same cleaner that’s cleans the kitchen? On my review, around 8 months ago, I sat at a tall table that is by the entrance. There was a piece of chewing gum stuck to the wooden menu stand, I took a photo of it durning THAT visit. On my visit last week, I took a nosy look at the same table, and after comparing images of then and now, I noticed the EXACT same piece of gum was still there. Your menu pages were even sticking together. Your hygiene standards are disgustingly. In case anyone thinks, “well don’t go there then”. I only visit as part of a group of friends who prefer this pub. No food. just drinks.

Took advantage of the £11.25 for two meals Mon --Fri deal.( Fish chips pea's) Told45min wait....Came in 15. .. Two Huge battered fish. Nothing shy of incredible value. Coke ( pint) £2.85 So couldnt pull a face at that either. Lovely weekday experience....Thanks .

Popped in for a quick tea and I had the steak, was cooked perfect... Really enjoyed it. My hubby had fish and chips and upgraded for £2.50. He had 2 massive battered fish with curley fries and mushy peas. Couldn't fault it. Defo be back for more.

Came in last week for some drinks…The guy at the bar was ace, couldn’t have been nicer even though he was clearly rushed off his feet. Saw a shortish lady with glasses just standing watching whilst playing on her phone. I can only presume she was the duty manager, so a pretty poor show from her, would have been nice to see the kid behind the bar get some help! Felt for the guy behind the bar. Great gin though!

Had fish and chips cheap and cheerful in the afternoon.

Service was great, friendly. Food was served ALL together, on time, nicely cooked and good value.

My wife Chris won a meal for two after leaving a comment about their new menu, we turned up with our daughter willing to pay the extra for her meal but the manager would not hear of it in not only did he allow the extra meal he also included all of our drinks.All of our meals were extremely tasty and the whole experience was excellent.I would not hesitate in recommending dining at the woodland .10 out of 10

Okay pub for food Our starters were excellent

Local community pub. Fairly busy on a Friday night. Plenty of parking. Lounge & separate bar. We didn't have any but the food looks cheap & cheerful. Anything you want as long as it's with chips 🙂 Friendly staff.

Got there after a very busy day moving house. Rammed as its Xmas obviously. Massive queue for ordering and thoughts was it's going to be 30mins before we can order.! And then an hour for food. And it'll be cold. 10 minutes to order. Wow. 15 for food again wow! Food was amazing 🥰 couldn't recommend this place enough. Service 10/10.

Came for lunch on Monday 4th, served by Brian on the bar. Cocktails were lovely in the sunshine & the sides we ordered to snack on arrived quickly & were very tasty. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again in the future.

Just popped in for a drink, not frequented this place for a long long time.

Had fish and chips twice and chicken dippers and chips food was nice but was left feeling hungry as the portions of chips was just terrible there was more chips in the under 5s dippers and chips really dissatisfied won't be having delivery from here again

Great pub, great service and great food. We have made it a weekly treat to pop in for lunch. Prices are very reasonable as well.

On the whole, the food was ok. I never understand why they serve chips with everything, which is fine . But just cheap frozen ones with quite few black bits in them. Is definitely a negative for me if you only want to half your meal.
