Popped into the Woodlands pub for a quick drink and food, fantastic service, food excellent and good value, will be going back

Lovely food chef (ste) came and checked if everything was ok with meals which it certainly was. Courtney and ness happy as ever behind the bar quick and pleasant welcome atmosphere was good.

I came with my family for tea. I loved the food it was amazing I had fish and chips. My sister had mac & cheese it was a good portion size. The staff was amazing and respectful just wanted to say thank you too the staff

Visited again .Had anouther amazing experience at The Woodlands Pub in Ellesmere Port! The customer service was truly fantastic. Vanessa and Courtney they borh went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, with lots of laughs and great conversation throughout our visit. The atmosphere was lively, and it really added to the overall enjoyment of the night. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun and relaxed place with top-notch service!

Had a lovely date night dinner. I had 'Philly cheese' grilled beef steak with skin on fries, grilled tomato and mushrooms on a bed of sizzling onions with a peppercorn sauce

Stopped in after a hectic trip to the aquarium, was lovely and quiet after being in such a busy place. The gent on the bar made us feel welcome and comfortable making sure everything was okay for us. Thankful for the patience with me ordering and trying to control my 2 boys.

We went in for a quick lunch we had two meals for 12.50 both our meals were gorgeous 6.25 for one meal is amazing staff were lovely too and the pub was so clean and inviting even walking outside the pub was a lovely fresh clean smell of fat definitely recommend

Had a good experience here tonight with Nat and all the bar staff it's been quiet and fun place to hang out. Food was excellent and staff were very accommodating of my learning difficulties

Food was delicious. We had the sizzling salmon and it was to die for. Atmosphere was nice and staff on hand ready to assist with anything. Shout out to Anna who made our visit very special. We will be back. Also great value for money.

Can't go wrong with a woodies mixed grill. In yesterday with the fam. And everything was again 10/10. My mum was absolutely made up with her fish and chips too. Best fish she's had. Only complaint she had was the lack of curry sauce 🤣 but she soldiered on without and thoroughly enjoyed every bite. Massive shout out to chefs Paul and Terry(Terri?)

All food arrived quickly to our large table and all the staff were extremely helpful.

Delicious! (Ordered via Deliveroo). Hot, on time, everything was accurate and intact, everything tastes fresh, portions were generous! Only thing I would add is a lemon wedge and also more sauce for the fish and chips, mushy peas were so tasty too. Chicken wings were seasoned beautifully-I ate it without sauce(which is rare for me). There’s a kick to the Tikka Masala too, which I love! Nothing to complain about. I will be recommending everyone here. Wished my favorite places like Nandos and McDonald’s could do their job properly like this place does, they always leave something out, or the bag tears and everything falls out. I’m very impressed. I hope the managers/owners read this. Thank you so much. Finally a place where the price is reasonable for the quality and quantity. My friends and colleagues will hear about this. Thank you again, for putting genuine care and heart into your business and food and not be a rip off/greedy owner like a lot of places now.

There was 4 of us ordered food 2 meals came out and was eaten before the other 2 came out was not happy with the excuses it's the time of year and we're busy used to love coming here never experienced this kind of thing before

Rubbish service, staff rude, forgetting to make drinks after serving us, waited an extra 10 minutes at bar other customers then got their drink. Got apology but then because of another customer saying to pay together to be quicker and I told her to mind her own business as the staff actually forgot to make our drinks in the first place, the woman then refused to serve us any further.

The pub was packed! It is Friday before Xmas!! Danny found us a table straight away, he was absolutely lovely, bar staff were great, when our food came out, it was gorgeous Courtney was also very nice and helpful

Came to visit my son and his girlfriend, along with my parents. The food was lovely, mum and dad loved the fish and chips!! Only downside was the delay in the food being served however it was during the 40% off week and it was very busy. Would definitely come again

We go often but last few times gammon was awful my husband used to have mixed grill but after a rare steak blood out if it .i had gammon again and again awful and stuff.then to top it all dont knows if she is the manager. But very loud lady then starts shouting from Behind the bar screaming and swearing st a lady customer have no idea what it was over but goes on to run from behind the bar swearing at her shouting.it wasnt very nice to see especially when you have children with you.

Well, what to say arrived at 19.35 and ordered drinks and food, sitting at our chosen table, we found it cold as all the radiators were stone cold. By 20.25, despite continually asking at the bar how long the food would be, we gave up and requested a refund. In all honesty, the woodland appeared very quiet and nobody in our part of the pub was eating, At no point were we approached by any any staff to explain any service delays, despite them being aware of our table number and pending order, overall probably the worst dining out experience we have faced. We were offered a complementary drink but driving so couldn't except. We have been to many sizzling pubs, and previous experience led us to believe that we could experience good value food in a timely manner, but how wrong can you be? In conclusion, following our experience, we are extremely unlikely to return to the Woodland.

Lovely staff, great food, fabulous atmosphere

Relatively good service, staff friendly, food and drinks competitively priced and reasonable value for money but a 55min wait for our order wasn't reasonable. They're running a 40% off promotion this week, so surely you staff appropriately.

The food used usually is good but today im struggling to give it 1 star. The wrong meal turned up, the steaks that was suppose to be 1 medium and 1 rare both turned up like bullies, as did the gammon. Also one of the steaks was pure grisaille. In general it was awful, the food wasn't cheap so you expect them to use quality product. So disappointed

I had a wonderful experience here. Vanessa is extremely helpful, food was delicious and all staff extremely pleasant. Will be returning

If I could give this pub 0stars I would she told me to bring my kids up Halloween that was 3 weeks ago for the Halloween party when we got their she told us she had to book a table witch is lies never have to book a table their any other time it took her 10 minutes to come up with that excuse after when we caught her out in lies she told us they have plenty sweets for the kids and staff seem to be very unsteady on their feet

Would love to give a better review. New offers on staff did not know what they doing not been informed of promotion even though it was on the billboards. The curry we had had at 2 other locations before but this one was like eating magma. Way too spicy

Visited this pub to watch man utd v Fulham. Didn't eat Needed a toilet break so went into bar toilet (male) Found it full so flushed but no movement,wee all over floor Had to rush to other side of pub to not much of a prettier site, I approached duty manager as to who I can get in contact with and her response was I'll deal with it, do you want free drinks on me??? After deliberation I asked her to blank off the toilets that wernt working so nobody else with IBS gets caught out, I seen her push a member of staff into gents toilets with tape, I don't know if he closed loos off Owner of pub " give your head a wobble" Vanessa "duty manager" you're better than this place

Service was amazing . The lady that served was lovely and made sure we got reimbursed for the food issues. Food was very disappointing overall. The steak was well over cooked and they left the end of the lettuce on the plate There were brown bits on the salad and onion skins on the plates. Also they changed the salad completely from a superfood salad to a basic salad, which isn't great at all.

Ordered takeaway from here. Loved the ability to customise items on my order. Wonderful chicken burgers and chips, ready on time. Staff were very friendly.

I have highlighted the state of your toilets in a previous post, you replied “much has changed’, really? Visited last week, and I can tell you that you need to sack your cleaner. See image. (That’s filth, built up over months and months) Btw, is this the same cleaner that’s cleans the kitchen? On my review, around 8 months ago, I sat at a tall table that is by the entrance. There was a piece of chewing gum stuck to the wooden menu stand, I took a photo of it durning THAT visit. On my visit last week, I took a nosy look at the same table, and after comparing images of then and now, I noticed the EXACT same piece of gum was still there. Your menu pages were even sticking together. Your hygiene standards are disgustingly. In case anyone thinks, “well don’t go there then”. I only visit as part of a group of friends who prefer this pub. No food. just drinks.
