The Wonky Goat in Isle of Wight

Clean, very friendly, not too pricey. Great food, did not skimp on portions. I definitely recommend The Wonky Goat. Will be go back there.

On a short coach stop in Ryde we came across the Wonky Goat on recommendation of a fellow (unconnected) business who said that they often had takeaway food from there. My friend and I ate inside. We both ordered a sandwich which were very big and good value for money. The salad on the sandwiches were the freshest we have ever had on eating out - not a dry tomato, lettuce or cucumber in sight. No prepacked prepared sandwiches here. The staff were friendly and we had no complaints. If we lived local to the Wonky Goat, this would be our 'go to' place. Came here for a sneaky frappe with my mum after getting my nails done...wonderful idea 😍 I had seen the pictures online and just knew I had to come here. Was proper busy for a Monday afternoon but I wasn't too fussed cuz we managed to get a seat. They said it would be a 20 minute wait for drinks but tbh I have nothing better to do and it gave me time to ponder life's more important questions...what is a wonky goat? is it figurative? is it and inside joke? wonky goat, you leave me with so many unanswered questions...anyway The frappes were delish and worth the wait if you're just a silly tourist like me 💕☕️

Delicious food and yummy specialty drinks. The quality of the ingredients are excellent. Fresh and tasty without being too heavy. Reasonably priced as well. I would highly recommend

Best New York Deli sandwich, IMHO. Great food and drinks, cream teas and bubble teas. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Offers a loyalty card on hot drinks.

We found the wonky goat by total chance and felt like we hit jackpot! Delicious sandwich’s and toasties with great coffee and a warm welcome. Very well priced for huge portions, so much filling in the sandwiches you could almost share them!

Nicely decorated cafe, dog friendly, decent tea & coffee and a geerously filled sandwich nicely presented. Would have welcomed something more breakfasty on the menu at 9am.

We came upon this unassuming cafe whilst wandering around the shops and decided to stop for lunch. On entering we were pleasantly surprised at the bright clean spacious interior. The staff are all welcoming, friendly and helpful. The menu is typical of this type of establishment....paninis/sandwiches/salads etc. with a full range of coffees. The meals are really plentiful, so much so, I had to request a doggy bag for half my sandwich (too good to waste) When next visiting Ryde, I will definitely be making this my 'pitstop' 👍 P.S. I love the colourful painting of the goat on the wall.

I had the pepperoni pizza panini and a strawberry smoothie. All freshly made whilst you wait and all very tasty.

I’ve been here a few times. It’s now become my regular place in Ryde for breakfast. Always greeted with a smile. The waffles with bacon and maple syrup are to die for. And they have the best paninis I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a visit. The artwork is something special too.

Looking for a somewhere to buy a sandwich and drink during our visit to Ryde we came across The Wonky Goat. With the intriguing name and quirky art work adorning the walls we weren't quite sure what to expect. Our uncertainty was immediately dispelled with a friendly welcome (we found all of the staff friendly and helpful). Looking at the menu we found a good range of food and drink options. Our order was served in timely fashion and the portions were generous, well-presented and very tasty. We noticed how many local customers came in whilst we were there and we thought that was a good sign of a well-regarded cafe, and on our experience we were not at all surprised. The Wonky Goat was very much a delightful discovery.

Nice cafe on Ryde main shopping street, modern and unpretentious, serving nice cafe food (sandwiches, salads, subs, croissants). All good, fresh, and reasonably priced. Family-friendly and many quirky art hanging around the place is for sale.

This cafe does the best coffee! Also yummy sandwiches and though I have only had it once the Smores cake was to die for! Handy location for when you are pottering about Ryde

Perfect spot for a delicious lunch with our dachshund in tow, very doogy freindly. Chatty staff, warm atmosphere and delicious food. We all had extremely tasty pannnis for our lunch and were not disappointed. The children had smoothies that looked as good as they tasted. Quirky artwork and modern feel, really happy with our choice for lunch.

What a fabulous little find ! Very spacious and not crammed so easily accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs users. We had 2 x panini’s 1x pizza and cheese and ham and a chicken, avocado & bacon sandwich. All good was packed with filling and didn’t disappoint at all …. Fresh and totally yummy. The coffee latte had a beautiful flavour and soo smooth I could have had another one. If you’re looking for a scrummy lunch with good food and prices this should definitely be your goto.

Popped in here with my wife and young son for an early lunch. They have a small play area which kept our son entertained. Food is fairly priced and boy do you get plenty of it!! We’ll be back soon I’m sure.

I am really taken aback at the friendliness and good service the food is great! It may seem a bit pricey but in realists good value. I ordered a crispy bacon Paninni and that is exactly what I got plus a side salad with a bit of depressing and crisps. The bacon was plenty full and not just a bit and a lot of bread. The toilets were extremely clean so that is a big plus. Thanks for a great experience.

We had a lovely lunch here with our 4 month old. The soft play area at the back was great for us as we'd been travelling a lot in the day, it is quite small so perhaps would have struggled if there were other kids but we were able to set him down and play about whilst our food was being prepped. The coffee was really good. We also had a salad & panini. We're both vegetarians and we had a couple options which is always a result for us. They do vegan bacon & cheese in sandwiches/salads. Nice atmosphere. People were playing games / chatting etc Would recommend & visit again!

Great food as other reviews say. However, the service is too slow and lacking any charisma. The staff make themselves look busy but with a team of 3 it is unacceptable that tables are left dirty and filled with plates for over two hours.

I visited the Wonky Goat this morning after a recommendation from a friend. How disappointing. The frosty reception wasn't appreciated and the wait for a take away coffee was too long, seems though the place is dead. Won't be rushing back. What a shame.

Excellent independent coffee shop on the main street in Ryde. Great staff and very decently priced salads/paninis. The signature Wonky Goat Salad is huge and delicious; great slabs of chicken breast piled with avocado, goat’s cheese, peppers, lettuce etc. Definitely recommended.

We found this cafe by chance and wow, what an amazing find! I had a salad which was loaded with chicken and bacon. Everything was really fresh and such a nice lunch which kept us full for a very long time!
