The Winged Ox in Glasgow City

We have been before when visiting Glasgow and always enjoy it. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Food and service was fabulous, thank you.

Greeter gave a warm welcome, table had a reserved sign and was as requested (roll under for my wheelchair using wife), servers really good, live music, great value. Our 29th wedding anniversary. Wonderful! 😎

Went for the gig ,stayed for the beer

We have been loads of times and the food is always bangin. So tasty. The kids enjoy it too, so it's a great place for us to go eat as a family.

Food was fantastic and reasonably priced, cant fault the service, happy friendly staff and super fast, would 100% recommend and perfect for a pre gig munch before the barrowlands

My daughter and I go to St Luke's on a regular basis when she comes through from Edinburgh to visit.

Went for the Barra Load of Nachos - shared between 4 hungry adults. We bravely ordered some mains to share as well, much to our waitresses’ amusement. Needless to say the mains had to be cancelled quickly when we were halfway through the mountain of very delicious homemade nachos. It was a struggle but we got there. Well worth it and will definitely be back. Pay attention to what the staff say, they do know better!!!

First time at Saint Lukes and will definitely be back, food was brilliant the service was very attentive and friendly and the venue itself for food and a concert is amazing.

Wonderful place, great atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We stayed for a gig after so were there the full day and will absolutely be back.

Busy bar and venue. The bar is large and can be very crowded. Dog friendly, which is a mixed blessing when busy. The foid is good. There's an outside area when the weather is nice. I like the venue. Good sound in a converted church. There's a balcony with a bar as well as two bars downstairs. Service is pretty quick. Miles better than any of the other, more traditional football bars.

In for food and drinks before the Shack gig. Food was wonderful, service was great. Back soon.

Did Leonard Rossiter knick it when he was Welsh that time 🤔 Jah Wobble was Space Invader kitchen sink lip synchronised with the best vibrations. Made me so happy, wonderous throughtout. Thanks indeed to the Giant Magic Eyeball at the Centre of the Universe. O

If you are looking for a fun and relaxed style of wedding, I would recommend booking St Lukes! Alyson, Tam and the whole team at St Lukes were excellent, we could not fault 1 single thing! Alyson answered every question promptly and was an excellent support especially at meetings prior to our wedding. We made most of our decor but the team were the ones who made the vision come to life, the place looked amazing and exactly what we were after! Even collecting our decor the next day, everything was boxed ready to go, we did not need to lift one finger! Truly cannot thank Alyson, Tam and team enough for everything they did to make our day so special!

Incredible ilexper fence with exceptional food and superb vibe. Amazing selection of beers, daily specials and live music (but not too loud) would come for standout dinner, lunch or just a drink. Next to Barras also which si worth a visit.

Spectacular food and good atmosphere. I'm addicted to the mac and cheese from this place.

My sons 18th Birthday meal - 11 of us there (and the dog)! It was fantastic I can’t thank the staff enough went above and beyond for his special day nothing was too much trouble! Everyone had a great time and the food was amazing!! Well recommended and we will be back!

Quality Beef Chilli, melt in your mouth beef , super spiced .. loved it .. Book in advance. Will definately be back again for more.

Always good. We were over 40 minutes late for our reservation due to an accident. The front of house staff were amazing and managed to help us out and shuffle stuff about so we still managed to eat. Great service! Gave them a massive tip! The food is always great too! Can't recommend more

Fantastic food as always, our needs catered for as we asked for a booth to keep our dogs out of the way of other diners

Staff were really nice, we had booked ahead Live music which I usually hate but the guy had a nice voice and chose songs that added to the atmosphere rather than loud/distracting. Also had a really nice voice. Our server had a bandana on, didn't catch her name, apologies, but a very attentive girl. I got the loaded chips (I am so fussy but they were so so nice), the girls got burgers (one gluten free menu) and the other also got macaroni. All lovely, only thing of note was even though chios are on the gluten free menu they did say they are all cooked together so my friend couldn't have chips as she has high gluten intolerance. She got the salad (choice of two) instead. Really like the feel/decor theme. Pet and child friendly, lots of lovely dogs and the kids that were there were really well behaved. Would absolutely go again 4/5.

Fantastic food in a great venue. First time visit and we will all be back. Food was amazing. We were a table of 7 and everyone cleared there plates and everyone of us said we will definitely be back.

We had a beautiful dinner at the winged ox. Burger, fish & chips and steaks were what our group enjoyed, and the food was delicious. Staff are so welcoming. Venue is decorated in a funky style and booths very comfy to sit in. Toilets are amongst the cleanest I've experienced. Recomend without hesitation.

We booked due to its proximity to the Barrowlands for food and drink before a gig. Food was good, done the job. The drinks were brilliant. We had cocktails and pints. The best part about this place was the service. Lots attentive, friendly staff. Nothing was a bother and our glasses were never empty. Vibrant atmosphere with a mixed crowd. Loved all the gig posters. Would definitely come back again for a night out.

Had a booking for pre show dinner. Staff managed to get us sat earlier than alloted time which allowed for more time to enjoy the great food

Recently went for a meal before a show. The nachos were amazing, the burger and fries also, the only let down was the brisket chilli as it didn't have any flavour at all. We had sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was also amazing and the the staff were great no complaints with them at all

Booked a table for 2 adults & 2 children. When we arrived we were given a table with quite high seating. My daughter didn’t want to sit there so we asked for another table. There were loads free but marked as ‘reserved’. We were then sat in a really small table for 4, hardly enough room for us all to eat and have drinks. The waitress explained that was all she had to offer, it was that or nothing else. So we tried to make it work, we were very hungry by this time 🙂. We ordered some starters - BBQ Pork belly which was a special, chicken wings & frickles. The pork came as 3 cubes and this was £10 bit overpriced for what was served , the chicken wings were not crispy which was disappointing, there were 4 of those for £6 (pricing from memory) The best of them all was the frickles. Crispy coated and delicious to eat with lots to share. We had burgers for mains and these were nice. The sweet potato fries were amazing! All the while we were sat eating our meal, the many tables which were ‘reserved’ remained free! Even as we left these tables were still empty. It would have been a better experience if we weren’t so cramped in a corner. I’ve been here before and everything was absolutely fab. Bringing my family this time I wanted to share the same experience and it didn’t. Such a shame as I don’t know if I would recommend or return.

Went in on an early Sunday afternoon from start to finish the service was great, friendly and efficient, we had our 7 week old wee boy with us and the pram but it wasn’t an issue for the staff whatsoever, great choices on the menu, my partner and I had the chicken tenders to start, then he had the big ox burger and I had the brisket bad ass both were delicious.

Sunday lunch and drinks with friends, place was jumping, had a singer on which added a nice atmosphere! Service was excellent and the food was nice, had a really nice afternoon. My 3rd visit and always been really good

We were a mixed bag of ages and food requirements. The staff found it no problem to accommodate us. Great service, chatty, funny.

He estado viniendo a la calle Luke's durante años y siempre lo recomiendo a los amigos, pero estaba muy decepcionado en nuestro regreso a la calle Luke's hoy. No he estado en unos meses, pero se destripó al ver que el menú se ha reducido masivamente y también ya no hacen las alitas deshuesadas que eran increíbles. Probé los pollos tiernos pero no se parecían en nada a las alitas deshuesadas que eran realmente soso y eran £ 3 más caro. Estoy de acuerdo con otras opiniones en que se ha vuelto mucho más caro, pero la relación calidad-precio parece haberse deteriorado. No me apresuraría a regresar.

Good choice or mocktails but do think they should be slightly less price than the actual cocktails as both £10, £9.50

Amazing food! Even a fussy teenager cleared his plate. Staff were super busy but always helpful and friendly and did a fantastic job even with a bar full of football fans. Been twice now and would definitely go back next time I’m through in Glasgow

Overall a great experience, polite and attentive staff. Food was mostly very good but my husband ate the fish fingers which were very greasy and he was sick when he got home. I'd go again but wouldn't order the fish fingers again.

Came with friends on a Saturday afternoon. We prebooked our table which gave us 2 hours. We were greeted warmly and shown to our seats and given menus. Drinks orders were taken shortly after. There was live music playing, which was very good. Food was reasonably priced. Portions were huge. Food was delicious. Two of us had beef brisket chilli loaded fries which were amazing and one of us had burger and fries. The burger was huge and delicious. There is a beer garden. I think there is seating inside for drinks only but not sure. I would definitely return.

Absolute dump. After one bench collapsed in the outdoor area. Checked 2 others that were both moving and on the verge of collapse before we just left before we had even ordered. Staff apologised, other patrons said that happens ? Does nobody maintain your furniture?

Fantastic little place food cracking and live music as well. What more could you ask for? Service was good.

Booked this as we'd always meant to visit. On arriving, I thought I'd made a big mistake - it was a match day! I was mistaken. The atmosphere was buzzing. People of all ages, including kids. Our food and drinks order was taken quickly. The beers were lovely, not something I'd normally have, but I was glad I did, hubby enjoyed it too. We'd ordered frickles and wee nachos to share, fish & chips for me and the brisket burger for hubby. The food was lovely, and plentiful, each dish coming with its own sauce, great for sharing. The staff were lovely and attentive, without being in your face. Hubby, of course had to have dessert to finish, sticky toffee pudding, always a favourite. Very satisfying visit. Always live a visit to St Luke’s. Not disappointed in our recent visit. Great service as always and the food is excellent. Very accommodating with my partner that requires gluten free.

We had been to several concerts there but had never tried the food. We had the vegetarian burgers and nachos. We ordered a few pints, and the quality-price ratio was great. Friendly and fast staff.

Friendly service, great bar food and nice drinks. Busy as there was a gig on and I personally would like the music down just a wee bit to be able to chat better but maybe I'm just getting old!

Great service, food and atmosphere.

In on a Sunday for an excellent Sunday lunch and brought the family for a dinner Wednesday night. Great atmosphere, very dog and child friendly. No complaints about the food at all. Only slight issue... Maybe it is written on the menu and is clear on the check but I missed it on the menu and didn't fully read the 15binches of check. A discretionary service charge of £27. I have nothing against this but weren't advised by the waiting staff and left a £20 tip as well.

Worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Was embarrassed to have taken my family there. No only will I not be back, myself and my family have told everyone we know not to go near the place. After describing the experience no one can believe it. It’s quickly became a joke among us.

The vegan burgers were delicious and my only regret was I didn't upgrade to the fat chips that came with the equally delicious fish and chips that others had. Really friendly and helpful staff and icing on the cake was that both our dogs were made very welcome too. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Glasgow 🙂
