Hoagies Glasgow in Glasgow City

I have eaten some terrible meals in my time and granted, asking for nachos in Scotland is not a thing that should come with real expectations. What they did, however, is an affront to nature. It is as though Nachos were described to an alien that was hard of hearing and a bad cook. You slapped mozzarella onto a pile of corn chips. You didn't even try. The sour cream was a bit scary, it seemed to have gone further off quite a while ago. Why bother? Stick to what you know.

Great dine-in experience at Hoagies on Sunday night. Food was great, staff were friendly and booths were nice and cosy!

Really great experience! Food was fresh, delicious, and different from your typical fare - exactly what we were looking for. The service was friendly and quick, and there was a nice atmosphere. Plus, the pickles were genuine sour pickles (none of those sweet pickle disasters!). Highly recommend.

Just had a lovely meal here :) my daughter and I are visiting my brother who has moved to Glasgow. Hogies is a local place and had good reviews, so thought we’d give it a try and was very pleasantly surprised. We sat in and it was empty- don’t know why though! The food was fresh, portion sizes extremely generous and the setting was clean (coming from someone with OCD). They had veggie friendly options and good choices for kids. Service was great and very welcoming. Would recommend and return.

Amazing food. I recommend the balboa and deez balls. The meatballs are as good as my mom's and that says a lot. The staff is amazing and very friendly. Just attentive enough without pestering you

First visit to here and it won’t be the last. Nice staff, food was cracking and the portion sizes are generous.

I visited Hoagies when it first opened and gave it a very unfavourable review of the buttermilk chicken whose coating slid off the bland chicken. Fast forward several years and my second visit was as impressive. The spicy burger was a couple of slices of unmelted processed cheese and half a dozen sliced chillies in a bun. It felt like there was no attempt at making this anything other than "that'll do"; something more akin to a burger van. Also, no milkshakes in an American diner. What's up with that? The portion of chips, however, was impressively large The service was all very "by the book" with no attempt at small talk with the customer, and - being the only people there - a lack of background music made it feel very lonely and empty. I can't see me ever going back

Always good food from Hoagies, love their chicken burgers and the fries are always tasty too.

This is a true hidden gem in Glasgow, best sandwiches at a really good price and friendly service. I started going on my lunch but now stop by when I can on an evening. The food is always fresh!

Good wee scran location right next to the clockwork to wonder up, although warning its no a hoagie like i know. Its like a wee subway or suhin, still decent tho

Brilliant. Inexpensive. Fast. Ordered a Big Durty (£8), a Dees Baws (£7) and a portion of Buffalo Wings (£4 if I remember correctly) for Pickup. They text me to let me know it was ready, and they were ready early. These were the 3 tastiest takeaway orders I've had for a long time (and I'm a fat bloke). All three dishes were full of flavour and short of nothing.

First time ordering from here, beautiful pulled chicken cheese and bbq sauce, but the chips were really bad.. Lots of big black bits..

Burgers are dynamite, the hoggies are even better. Has to be one of the best takeaways in the southside of Glasgow

Pulled beef and chicken hoagie with bbq sauce. Delicious mix of meat and flavour. The bbq sauce had a special flavour. And the bread was fresh and soft soaking up more of the great flavour.

Hoagies is a regular choice for me...the food is always superb. I recommend the smoked BBQ chicken n chips coated in cheese 👌 and cheesecake with the extra portion of ice cream. Great staff...rapid delivery. Will certainly be ordering again. Thanks hoagies top stuff 👍

The best US style pulled beef & stake house in Mount Florida with tender and juicy Mains, top quality Sides, great dipping sauces, rib racks, pulled beef/chick burgers, hoagies to put subway to shame, nachos, loaded pizzas, LOADED fries, buffalo wings and spicy chicken tenders. Bread buns and hoagie buns are freshly home baked and fluffy, quality ingredients made from scratch at an acceptable price. It is easy to see that staff, owner, servers and chefs care about food quality, original taste, has room for flexibility on menu items and can ambitiously explain the cooking process and themes. Take time to enjoy the flavorsome bites, share side orders, split a hoagie into 2, 3, 4 sandwhiches or share a burger, because the portions are generously sized. With more people there's more variety possible and the menu online is great.

Just loved this place! Very friendly, welcoming service. We wanted to sit in rather than take away, as we fall into the “middle aged” bracket. There are approximately four or five sit in tables, and although the venue is small, it is bright and airy. The choice of food is extensive and exciting, in American diner style. The food when it comes is extremely flavoursome and fulfilling. It is also very reasonably priced and excellent value for money. I cannot praise the hospitality and welcome provided by the hosts highly enough; they made the dining experience really pleasurable. Highly recommended, will be back, A+++++

Good… American but why? Restaurant was decorated with an overtly Americana theme. Rustic unvarnished timbers. That greyish pallor that says “vintage pseudo authentic planks that probably actually chemically dried and/or retouched”. I don’t know who buys it. Nonetheless we got a cosy booth style table. I think they had two sets seating about six people. Is their usual modus operandi take away? Perhaps. I ordered a pizza which was almost my typical order in other places. I like black olives, , red onions and the all so important anchovies. I couldn’t get anchovies but the menu option added green pepper and mushrooms. Ok I went with that. It was huge, very oben hot and amazing. I thought I could eat all that pizza but it was so good I ate it all. My wife had bbq ribs. Which looked great too. My daughter had nachos with cheese and ALL the expected extras. We were all very satisfied and left with a high impression of the place. Staff seemed Iranian or perhaps Kurdish or a hybrid however placed within Americana rustic decor. One small detail was the centrally placed but upside down Innes Gunn branded (as in a hot iron brand tool normally applied to cattle) full size wooden barrel table straight from central casting but upside down.

Just used for the 1st time..collected food from the shop...outstanding..I have been a chef for 30 years and this is my new go to place..the big dirty hoagie was sensational.

Food is decent but recently received bother about not tipping from an extremely rude hoagies delivery driver who delivered food an hour and a half late.

Good food but rarely delivered on time - after a recent delivery that was an hour and a half late, my underage brother answered the door and was lectured for not tipping for the extremely late food. Won’t be ordering again and will be making sure nobody else I know does either. If you want a tip, try delivering on time and being polite.

Close to the stadium. We ordered a nacho and a burger which both are amazing. Friendly staff, wholesome ingredients and incredible sauces.

If going to Hampden this is a stop off for a bite to eat. Careful of the spicy chips though, they are very. Loved them.

Ordered a takeaway from Hoagies and left feeling rather dissatisfied afterwards. We had the chicken tenders, shrimp hoagie, balboa hoagie and the gravy pulled chicken fries. Nothing was really outstanding and I wouldn't order any of these items again. Also unfortunately there are no deals or offers are included on the menu but hopefully that will change down the line as I noticed the takeaway prices are the same as the sit-in prices? Still on the hunt for a decent burger in the Mount Florida area so would return to try this out from Hoagies in the hope that it delivers on the burger front 👍 then all will be forgiven 😂 Update - May 2021 Nothing I've had has been 'spectacular'. Food definitely for me average... Had the burger, the bun was nice but the burger itself... I'd be surprised if it wasn't shop bought. Skinny fries nice enough. Tried the onion rings for the first time also and can 100% say they are the shop bought frozen kind 😕

I order nachos, mac and cheese, burgers and pizza...all of which are amazing. The salad is a show stopper, delicious and nutritious with tons of yumminess. All delivered quickly and arriving piping hot and fresh.

Ordered online, and 20 minutes later pickup of my order was completed. Great tasting food fast but not fast food taste, this was real food. I prefer a chunky chip, but that's personal preference, what I had was fine. But that Hoagie... Next time I'm in the area... I'm back for another.

Not to happy tonight with this place feel they really let themselves down tonight Mac cheese was rubber and felt like eating elastic band and then had a big layer off mozzarella cheese ontop horrible worst I have ever tasted as a chef Forgot to leave kids meal at the door had to call the restaurant to call the driver totally disappointed folks

Have ordered several times before and always enjoyed the food. Ordered again via Uber east and waited 45 mins (absolutely ok but beyond suggested time) I called and they said the order had been cancelled as they didnt deliver to this area. 1. I have ordered before via Uber eats, 2. I received no cancellation notification.. I called the restaurant and they said they were too busy to accommodate me...good food but I will NEVER use again

I zipped into Hoagies today for lunch with the better half. I ordered the Big Dirty on a bed of salad instead of the hoagie roll. I think the guys thought I was crazy, but that combination with a little coleslaw on top... Just WOW! Best meal I've had in what seems like ages. It was awesome! I really think they ought to consider adding it to the menu or at least make it an option for when we order take away.

I whole heartedly recommend Hoagies! The good was fantastic and I visited on a 'Eat out to help out' day'. There was a minor issue with the promotion, but the staff resolved it instantly. The food was absolutely fantastic! Anyone on the fence about visiting I would absolutely recommend giving them a chance!

Really disappointing. Delivery was cold, fries tasteless despite the amount of stuff that was piled on top and pizza base spongy rather than crispy.

I've become just a wee bit addicted to the Mac n Cheese with bbq chicken and peppers......it's starting to get a bit embarrassing to make eye contact with the delivery guy! 😬 Weird thing is i never liked Mac n Cheese till I tried this one on a whim! 🙂

Came in here tonight to get some food whilst waiting for my daughter to finish her dance class. I had my puppy with me who I’m not leaving home alone at the moment, I asked if I could bring him in and they were so nice and accommodating. Then the food came, the chicken nachos are AMAZING! Great service, great food, dog friendly and lovely people. What more could you ask for! Thanks for looking after me and my pupper.

Double spicy holy chuck burger is about as good as it gets burger wise in Glasgow. Highly recommend.

Big portions, fast service and the best mac n cheese in town. The hoagies are loaded and delicious. Haven't so far ordered anything that wasn't 100% and always manage to have some leftovers for lunch (unheard of in my house). Definitely a new favourite!

Hoagies is a good resteraunt if you like a lot of food. I have had a burger before which was ok, macaroni cheese which was good and the mozzarella pizza which is probably the best one. The chips are very tasty, service is good. It seemed quite expensive at first but when I seen the portion I realised why it was expensive. I would recommend people to come to Hoagies if your hungry and in the area

The place is really.cosy and right there in the street. The food is good too. Some nice menu that I've seen in Glasgow. However it's not much happening. There are about 6-7 tables and only a few a filled at a time. But good food and drinks at a reasonable price. Amazing place if you want to have a nice, quite lunch/dinner with someone or even a group of friends!

Like the menu but execution was not the best. Slaw on the prawn hoagie was mostly mayo and under seasoned. Mac n cheese was overcooked and a bit bland. Fried pickles were nice though as we're the staff.

Such tasty food from this place, it doesn't look like much from the outside but its actually a really stylish place on the inside! We were walking past one day and just thought we would try it out and I am glad that we did. The mac n' cheese that I got from this place is one of the best I have ever had and the staff were friendly.

Ordered through deliveroo, came in so quick with great portions and it was very warm! Chips were very generous so the pulled beef in the hoagies. Packaging was also cardboards and paper which is something I like as some places send in so many plastic wrap and cups when you order... Great valuea and taste overall! Thanks!

First time ordering from Hoagies last night. Really tasty burgers, not greasy, the bacon was crispy, lovely bread and crunchy salad used. The mac n cheese was tasty and the fries turned up nice and hot. I don't usually leave feedback but it was too good not to. I'll definitely be ordering again.

Went here before a gig and it was great. Waiter was really helpful and although they weren't doing pizza due to how busy it was he put one on for my daughter and I as we're veggie. All the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

American style hoagies,burgers and pizzas just at the back of hampden They do have a sit in area but its not huge so phone in advance / they do take aways and delivery to certain areas. Staff where great with customers and with the kids. Food was lovely (pulled pork/chicken) , battered prawns and churros for desert all freshly made. Would highly recommend this place its a hidden gem.
