Superb bar centrally located in the Piece hall with amazing staff who are very welcoming. Love spend time sitting in the piece hall with a beer. Can't Recommend enough. Will Definity return

Had a pint of Rekorderlig very happy to finally have it on draft! Friendly staff and good selection!

This was a brilliant bar for drinking, with a classic wooden style! The red lighting and beverage displays across the wall add another feel, staff were friendly and counter is well-presented. I had a refreshing pint of Rekorderlig Cider at comfortable leather seating, which was clean too!

I absolutely love this place nothing is to much trouble at all. The staff are very good and they talk to you and are very friendly and they look after you.

Worst bar woman in England. Said her wages are paid whether customers are there or not disgusting attitude for how much we spent in this place. Apparently £50 notes are not legal tender and are illegal. £80 shots and £80 drinks what a disrespect.

I often visit the Wine Barrel for coffee as I find it a pleasant environment to relax. It has a spacious seating area which looks across the Piece Hall Courtyard. There is always somewhere to sit and most of the seating area is under cover and they do have outdoor gas heaters for when the weather is cool. Although there is an option of sitting inside. I find the service is excellent with a wide range of drinks on offer and the staff always make you feel welcome.

Having been here many times, yesterday was a complete disappointment. They had no Wine glasses, killed a Vodka & Diet Coke filling it to the very brim of the glass and we sat in what looked like a store room with boxes and unused furniture stacked around us. Won't be returning.

We just popped in for a cheeky drink, friendly staff and a lovely spot ,drinks were quite expensive but I guess it's the venue. Duncan and Helen

Was a quiet Wednesday afternoon and after a lovely time looking around the shops and laden with shopping bags I fancied a sit down and a coffee. Well I got my 10 minutes sitting down but unfortunately nobody came to serve me. It does say take a seat and wait to be served? I was very disappointed. Now in M and S having coffee and cake. Not very good customer service especially on a quiet afternoon.

The setting is great, the server polite, the ambience of the Piece Hall enspiring - all this with one of the worse coffees ever! It was so weak I asked for another shot, it was brought back in record time and no better.

Had a coffee service was very good and staff polite. Stayed for 1/2hour watching the world go by.

Service exellent. Possibly over priced on drinks. However I expect rents will contribute to this factor, which isn't fair because everyone of us is picking up pieces from covid

Good coffee - enjoyed sitting out watching the world go by. -1 star as waited for ages for service ... seems one member of staff for all the outdoor tables - of which there must have been about 20. Thankfully it's a great location to spend some time.

Great service. We had Tea, Coffee and a fruit scone each. This was excellent all round.

I like sitting under the gazebos at the wine barrel overlooking the Piece Hall courtyard having a coffee it doesn't serve food,but if you just want a drink,alcohol or otherwise it's very pleasant

There is always a warm atmosphere and the staff are helpful, professional and have good rapport. I would recommend the flight pairing experience which was very enjoyable. The gin and wine range is good and the chocolate shots always go down well.

Goof wine list and many great gins available. Comfortable seating. Staff friendly and give good service. A complimentary chocolate is provided with each glass of wine.
