Nice best for a long time food was lovely we had a great dinner and some drinks we really enjoyed our meal and our night . 10/10

The Wine Bar is one of those places that deserves a 5* review, yet I am reluctant to give it because too many people might want to go and I won't get a table! Fantastic atmosphere and food. The wine list is great. You will be made to feel welcome and the recommendations are spot on. Lisa is an attentive host and Tony a talented chef. Excellent all round. You should go (just not all on the same night that I want to).

Absolutely brilliant little place, was a tad worried about those stairs ( I'm physically disabled ) but with a bit of help it was fine. Inside was lovely, clean, friendly and a choice of chair to accommodate fat bottoms ! PERFECT - nothing to much trouble for the lovely friendly Landlady, who was welcoming and chatty, Came here for my cousins birthday and it was really amazing, gorgeous food and a good price. Will heartedly recommend.

We recently moved to Herne Bay and were trying to get a table for a long time - and it was well worth the wait. The owners are really welcoming and food was amazing. Try the rump of lamb, you won't be disappointed.

Went with my wife for dinner our first time at the wine bar. Lovely welcome from Lisa who went through the menu with us. Tony cooked us wonderful lamb rump which tasted amazing accompanied with the veg and gravy. The squid starter was very tasty too. Had a great chat with Tony after the food. Good family business where customer service is great and also the food five stars 🌟

We were visiting the area for the weekend and whilst chatting to some locals were recommended The wine bar as a good place to visit. We popped in to see if we could reserve a table for the evening and Annabel was very friendly and welcoming, sorting this out for us. We enjoyed a lovely meal and a bottle of wine, the ambience was nice and Lisa was very attentive, all was reasonably priced too. We would definitely recommend this place to others and would return if we visit Herne Bay again.

We went last night and had the sirloin steak and chips. The steak was cooked exactly how we asked and was delicious. The chips were home cooked and definitely the best we’ve had anywhere locally. Friendly owners and a great vibe. Good background music. Looking forward to our next visit (and the chips!).

Had lunch here on a lovely sunny Good Friday and sat outside. The owner served us and said that they really feed their customers. They certainly do. I had an absolutely enormous lamb rump, cooked perfectly with wine sauce. We couldn't fault the meal.

Lisa and Tony were such amazing hosts, we had an unforgettable evening. The food was excellent ! Freshly prepared and cooked by Tony, the lamb medallions and the belly pork were delicious with lovely fresh veg and dauphinoise potatoes.

Yet again an outstanding meal 😋. The atmosphere is great and the waitress, Annabel, is fantastic. Very attentive with nothing being too much trouble. I don't understand the previous review as the waitress rectified the problem with the wine and took it off the bill?! We'll definitely be going back. LOVE it 😋🍷🍺👍💖

We have always been very happy with the Wine Bar, but it let itself down last night. Firstly the food was very average. My chips were quite cold and soggy. Friends were also less than impressed with their food. The desserts were all cakes or a sponge, nothing healthier. The worst thing was we were £40 overcharged for wine we did not have as well as for the food. Saddest of all there was no apology from the owner or any offer of any recompense. We won’t be visiting again.

Had a meal in the wine bar last night. Those of us that chose the slow cooked pork belly could not praise it enough. It was absolutely amazing. The meat was so tender that I could have eaten it with a spoon and the crackling was crispy and perfect. The service was excellent. Staff attentive. Highly recommend.

Love this Wine Bar Restaurant in Herne Bay, so worth a visit. You are welcomed with just a warm greeting from Lisa who owns the Wine Bar. She is so professional, friendly, kind and nothing is too much trouble. The ambience is very calm and relaxing, food outstanding, my friend had the lamb and said the best she had ever tasted. I had the King Prawn linguine and just so flavoursome and plentiful; the Chef Tony really produces some lovely dishes. Second time I have been there in a week as had a Christmas dinner last Sunday for a Christmas event and again the food was outstanding and plentiful. The lunch was for 20 people, tables laid out so well, festive decorations on the table and efficient service and excellent menu choices. The food was all cooked to perfection, plenty of it and all came out piping hot. The owners and staff are just so welcoming, offer great service and what an excellent chef. I would highly recommend this Wine Bar for a lovely meal, or even just pop in for drink, its just so homely and welcoming.

Well we decided to have our works Christmas meal here, and what a great decision that was, the food was amazing and a lot of it, and so worth the money we paid for it of their Christmas menu. Really friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and nothing was to much bother. They also have such a great menu choice, for lunch or dinner, we will all be going back to try lunchtime tapas. Fantastic place to eat and drink, the food is excellent and the atmosphere the same, we've been using the Wine bar for years and is one of Herne Bays little gems. Had our Ruby wedding anniversary here and Tony (Chef) Lisa and Abigale, done a fantastic job.

Fantastic family run restaurant. We had the squid and also the garlic prawns for starters and we both had chicken with mushrooms for mains. All dishes were cooked to order and the flavour and quality was excellent. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and we did not feel hurried at any point. If you are looking for a really wholesome meal in a intimate setting, you will not be disappointed. Superb friendly service and look forward to our next visit. We’ve been here quite a few times now and it is always a great night out and the food never disappoints. Nothing is too much trouble, Lisa is always happy to accommodate. Tony cooks everything just the way you want it.

Went to The Wine Bar last week with my wife on our anniversary. Found ample choice on the chalk-board menu, and enjoyed two different courses each, all of which were fantastic. The wonderful friendly service which we recieved throughout helped make this a very special night for us.

8 of us went for the Mortimers staff Christmas meal. Just us oldies as the youngsters did an escape room! Booking, pre-ordering etc was efficient. We were in Herne Bay too early for the film we went to see. So what is there to do on an overcast Thursday evening in Herne Bay to fill the time. The answer was...not a lot. Then 'The Wine Bar' came into view. We ventured down into the basement where it is located. The decor reminded me of my student days in the 1970's. Mis-matched chairs and tables closely laid out beneath a low ceiling. It was quite busy for a weekday so looked promising. We were greeted with a cheery welcome and ordered two glasses of Shiraz. The wine was well priced and good quality. Sitting at a table for two I glanced at the food being served. It all looked tasty and made me wish we hadn't already eaten. The wine and conversation flowed so well that we nearly missed the film!

Have tried to book a table before but haven't been able to because its so popular and now i can see why , i booked a table for myself and my partner for his birthday i had the lamb and my partner had a burger and it was really nice , i have to say the lamb was absolutely delicious its what i will be having next time we go which will be very soon .
