The Windmill Soho in City of London, Westminster

i bought a 6 pack of brand new chewing gum. at the entrance i was told that chewing gum is not allowed inside so i kindly asked the security just to keep them safe and which he told me that he would put them on the side. 40 minutes later, we had asked for our chewing gum back on our way out, the package was open and we only received one packet which was opened. the woman and man at the front seemed to have an attitude when we asked them where the rest were and their story of who was at the front of the club didn’t seem to add up.. i’m really disappointed and i don’t want to go back to a thieving club.

I booked a table for my birthday for 6 people. They took full payment up front, then a couple of weeks later I received a call saying that my booking could not be honoured due to new management and renovations . I still have not be refunded for this 2 weeks later. So disappointed.

Went here last night with my sister for the HipHop/R&B club night and we absolutely loved it. Staff were friendly and the music was really good!! Would recommend a Thursday night at The Windmill & will definitely be back.

Popped over to have a few late drinks with friends and ended up dancing all night, DJ Ajnaa & Hermxn were so good!! The dancers were lovely and I'd definitely recommend this night!

Booked ourselves (myself and my partner) on the guest list and arrived within 10 mins of the guest list opening on Saturday 26th August at 11.40pm. A rude blonde lady on entrance told us guest list had closed so no entry! How can the guest list close 10 mins after opening? We were told only way of entry was to either pay £1,000 for a table or minimum spend will be £500!!! This is such a CON, no where does it state in their T&C guest list will close within 10 mins of opening and the prices she mentioned were ludicrous! The exact same thing happened on Saturday 10th December 2022, my partner and I added ourselves to the guest list and arrived within minutes of opening and the SAME lady told us the same thing word for word so we walked away believing her. However to have this happen to us the second time with the same wording makes us think they only allow a certain look of people. This also spoilt our night on both occasions as we were both looking forward to attending the club! The only reason I can think of this happening is that this establishment is prejudice and racist towards non-white people. I am Indian and my partner is caucasian. We were both on both occasions dressed up, so it's not like we were in casual wear. If this is the case please state on your website your requirements of people you want in your club! This way you won't disappoint anyone's night! Also I'm sure this day and age this is unacceptable behaviour from such establishments. I have written an email of complaint but still waiting to hear back, I doubt I will ever receive a reply, so hence the reason for going public!

I have had the worst experience with this company. I booked a brunch at the windmill 1 month in advance for my boyfriends 21st birthday. The full payment was taken instantly. On the day we made our hour and a half journey to soho to arrive at the venue and find all doors locked. We rung the bell multiple time, called, emailed and messaged social media to get no response. We were forced to leave the venue as it was clear it was shut. Disappointingly we had to make our way home. Finally days later I received an email stating the windmill is closed until September for private hire. I was provided with no reason as to why I was miss sold tickets and not told about the cancellation. I have had no response from the company since or refund. This was quite possibly the worst way to celebrate a 21st birthday! And I have lost out on £150 - DO NOT GO TO THE WINDMILL

I thought it would be good - but it was better than expected - I expected the service to be bad like all other bars in soho - but Sebastian was the best - cannot recommend enough wow

I visited the Windmill with some girlfriends and thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment, each performance was 10/10 and found the staff to be very attentive. The only disappointment was the food unfortunately. Despite paying for the Platinum menu, the food was below average and very bland. The sea bass starter and chess cake were enjoyable, however the steak and chips was very bland and just not of the standard I would expect. It was very disappointing. Also when we asked for ketchup, we were told they had run out and had to share one small container of it between the 6 of us. Odd that they wouldn’t just send someone to the shop before evening sittings. I would recommend the Windmill for cocktails and the show.

I attended Windmill Soho on Friday 16 June 2023 after getting myself and one other friend on the guest list online. We were charged £100 entry, which we thought was extreme, the day after I checked the T&C's on the website in which they said online guest list entry fees are £20. So we charged an additional £80. I tried to call the club to ask for a refund in the following few days and no one has attempted to contact me regarding the situation, which is surprising as they've broken Ts and Cs. Furthermore, we had actually tried to gain attendance to the club on 02 June 2023, again after getting us on the guest list online. We were rejected at the door as my friend was wearing timberlands shoes which was against their dress code. Which we understood and did not dispute at all. However, when we returned on the 16th we saw that other people attending the club wearing trainers and sliders, which also go against the dress code. So on two occasions it looks like we were treated unfairly and I don't want to assume its for any reason but I can only guess it was due to our appearance, both of us being ethnic minorities. I would love to chat to The windmill soho further on this but they never seem to want to get back in contact with me.
