What a terrible, miserable place. One of those god awful "small plates" restaurants where quality and price are completely mismatched. Rudest waiters in existence who pester you to order even when not all parties are present. I would choose being boiled alive over returning here. Had the audacity to overcharge us by £50 at first as well.

Atmosphere and location recommended for fine dining. The king prawns and scallops were popular, cheesecake and sorbet for dessert was very good.

Fine afternoon tea with great services

We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast served to us by Pauline. She was attentive and genuinely interested in making us happy - thank you Pauline.

I had an incredible dining experience, thanks to Eros! He was attentive, knowledgeable, and truly knew his stuff. From recommending dishes to ensuring everything was perfect, his service was outstanding. He made us feel welcome and taken care of the entire time. If you’re dining here, I highly recommend asking for Eros—you won’t be disappointed!

Horrible service, we ordered our food and after getting served the appetizers they suddenly show up and tell us that the “food ran out” of the kitchen because it’s late. Why didn’t you tell us before wasting our time? It’s so unprofessional and I will never repeat the experience. Like we could’ve just went to another place. Not to mention the absurd serving sizes and the slow service.

Dreadful service. Food is average. Tables are PACKED in. There are 1000s of restaurants in London to explore that knock the socks off this place

I can’t quite explain how full circle my whole experience was with being surprised with a stay at the hotel to then experiencing dinner at the May Fair Kitchen! Celebrating my best friend for my birthday was truly special… amazing service, amazing food and Somya was truly special with the service! Fantastic restaurant in all three regards: taste, service and atmosphere. I took my partner here for valentine's, and feel that I could not have made a better choice. Food - The dishes were all delectable. The tuna starters was a bit too tart for my liking, but the sushi, bass and dessert were all standouts. A perfect, intimate blend of herbs, spices and soy. Service - We were served by Sree who was equally bubbly and attentive. We never went a moment without our drinks being topped up, and our progression from platter to platter was seamless. Honestly standout performance and attention to detail by all the staff. Atmosphere - a perfect blend between sleek and stylish. Everything is very modern, but intimate in a way complementing the food and service. Overall - a standout performance that honestly puts some Michelin restaurants to shame. While not quite a one in a billion experience, it was still excellent across the board in terms of taste and service satisfaction

Service was warm and welcoming our server Bog was very attentive and provided clarity over the menu, had a shellfish allergy and provided lots of reassurance… food was spectacular and flavoursome

pleasantly surprised by this! It’s not at all something I’d usually go to since I’m a bit sceptical to having two different menus foe two different cuisines, but I am happy to admit that both the Japanese and Italian dishes were tasty and carefully prepared. also we were a HUGE party but all the food came in good time and the staff was so organised! ❤️ We had some tuna ceviche tacos which were honestly delicious, crunchy shell and really nice contrast with the creamy and citrusy tartare inside. Then we had a little octopus salad which was alright, I don’t fully see the purpose of slicing octopus so thinly since it takes a lot of heart and spirit away from it, but I suppose it was delicate. My favourite dish, which I admit was very simple, was the fried shrimp in wispy kataifi, with a well-balanced wasabi mayo. so tasty and I just love the combination of textures. lastly we also had some gnocchi which might look simple but it was packed with tomato and chili notes! warm, comforting, and the sauce had a lot to offer. overall, maybe it’s not the most extravagant, but i am happy with what i ate! :)

Dining at the century old classic Mayfair Hotel was indeed an experience worth remembering. Main food highlight was 'Crispy Japanese aubergine with black pepper and ginger ' that we had to order basis strong recommendation of Aerios. Risotto was as perfect as in an Italian restaurant, so was Matcha Tiramisu.

Dinner was late so we visited during closing time. White wine, healthy steak, tomato basil gnocchi... Nice atmosphere and great service. In particular, Darwal's male manager's sense is the best~~! When we apologized because the kitchen deadline was tight, Darwal kindly responded by telling us that it was okay to eat comfortably and even asked us to order from the bar menu, and he took care of it so we were able to enjoy generous and delicious dishes with wine. We enjoyed it together. Thank you for the sense of providing room service for the remaining wine.

Went there for an afternoon tea, the tea selection was great! So many great options, and delicious. The sandwiches were delicious, the scones however were quite dry and lacked fluffiness, the desserts were okay some a bit heavy, we felt very very full at the end!

3 course set menu lunch was amazing. Pasta was delicious

For New Year's Eve dinner we decided to choose the May Fair kitchen. The choice comes from the information indicated on the menu on the dedicated website with an indicated price of £195 per person. The food was a disappointment as there was nothing extraordinary to leave us satisfied and nothing exceptional to justify the price indicated on the menu. Final surprise in the bill we also found £60 charged for the "service" which we were not aware of. In short, a total expense of almost 600 "euros" for two for a dinner that objectively had nothing extraordinary about it. Too bad we won't be back

I recently visited May Fair Kitchen and had such a great experience. The bar has a lovely, stylish atmosphere and an excellent drinks menu with plenty of options to choose from. The restaurant menu is just as impressive, offering a fantastic mix of Japanese and Italian dishes that looked and tasted amazing. I also want to give a big shoutout to Saurabh, who was in the bar when I stopped by for drinks. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and really made the evening enjoyable. It was great chatting with him, and his service was spot on. It’s a fantastic place to unwind with great drinks, delicious food, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back!

We were all very excited to come to this restaurant for my friend’s birthday but the place feel very clamped and we were seated in the middle on this fancy wood like table on bar stools, kids needed to climb up and once other table sat down behind me, I struggled to get out and I am a size 10! Food was underwhelming, meat pasta was too spicy and salty, veggie pasta was too bland! The aubergine was too spicy hot, the mandarin spritzer had not much flavour! The seabass with clams was overcooked and there were a lot of empty clam shells inside the dish! The vegetarian pizza, however was very good and I heard the kid risotto was very good too! So maybe customers should offer a kid risotto and pizza? No one came to check back on our food so we can’t feedback! Empty plates piled up and not once our eating plates were changed and we had to struggle to put new food on while the prawn shells were still on our plate! We expected more but I feel this place was busy because of its location, surely not recommended especially with young kids and big group!

Superb again! Well looked after from the whole team, concierges are super helpful, housekeeping super clean rooms, Pauline our lovely breakfast server was just the best!! Looking forward to our next visit again next year!

We picked this restaurant originally because it offered a “small plate” experience of Japanese and Italian dishes. We love small plate offerings because they allow you to curate a fun and interesting food experience. However, when we arrived, we saw they had a Festive Set Menu that offered a two-course or three-course meal with a glass of Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs or Spiced Mandarin Spritz and we loved the course offerings. It was a lovely bit of serendipity and it turned out to be the right decision (although we do want to return for the small plates). The food was beautiful presented and delicious. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the service was great. The price was reasonable for London, £39 for the two-course meal and £45 for the three-course meal. Our server, Michaela, could not have been nicer. She was friendly, professional and efficient. We are already planning our return visit.

Food was very good but not mind blowing as I would expect at that price level. Atmosphere is really nice and inviting.

The black truffle ponzu was too salty but other than the food was delicate and flavoursome. It was a shame however that Patrick the manager was somewhat rude to us. If not that it would be a very nice experience overall.

I regularly go to the Mayfair Kitchen to have meetings or with family, and I always get a very nice great warm welcome from the Head Host Zena and always on point in giving me a warm welcome, as one of the VIP guests at the Mayfair, and when I bring my guests are always satisfied with the services from the staff. This is a very nice modern space. We had Afternoon Tea and it was lovely ☕! It's really nice to see somewhere so forward thinking with Gluten Free and Dairy Free options. In fact, as a lactose intolerant person I couldn't even tell the difference! The service could have been a bit more timely, but we know they were doing their best meeting to adjust to the menu items. If you're looking for a modern and elegant experience, definitely give this space a try 🙂... And definitely try the Afternoon Tea ☕🐸!

Attentive service, waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu and was able to recommend some “personal favourites”. Enjoyed the aubergine dish a lot but the pasta dish unfortunately didn’t quite make the cut. It was underdone, probably needed an extra 2 minutes in the water. Other than that, atmosphere was very nice and chic.

The food was delicious; small tapas style plates that allow you to try a variety of items without getting too full. Alston took care of us and was wonderful! He was very attentive and all the food suggestions he gave were spot on.

Big and delicious selection of breakfast buffet! I had a made to order omelette and also enjoyed the buffet. Pauline was always there with coffee/water/ juice and she gave us good tips on touring London…. She was very nice!

Went for their Charbonnel Walker Afternoon Tea. The tea selection was great and the unlimited sandwiches, scones and chocolate treats were high quality (the tiramisu was a nice touch). However the staff were a little pushy and were cleaning up the plates on my table or taking the cutlery when I was still very clearly eating.

We went there for the afternoon tea. The food was good, with a fair price for an afternoon tea in London. The restaurant is rather noisy, with music playing and a mix of people dining, having an event or enjoying an afternoon tea. Given the type of restaurant/decor, that can be expected. However the service was lacking. We were there early, and got our table right away (a plus), and the tea shortly after we seated. But it went downhill from there… we ended up waiting around 40 mins for the sandwich and scones, which we got after asking (they had forgotten about us). We asked for tea refill, and again, had to ask after waiting for a while. Tasting it, it had been forgotten somewhere. Overall a fair price for the experience, an adequate afternoon tea, but far from being the best one in London.

This is a posh restaurant in Mayfair area serving Italian Japanese fusion cuisine. The interior is stylistically decorated & service was good. If you come here, you should not expect to get authentic Japanese food but rather modernised fusion style. Price is on the high side but I guess we paid for the ambiance as well.

I was really disappointed with my visit to this restaurant. I had chosen it after it was recommended by a food influencer who had said it was an Italian and Japanese restaurant. My fault for not looking into the menu before hand, but I had thought it was be a fusion of the two cuisines, but instead separate menus for each cuisine. I appreciate that as it’s fine dining the portions will be small but spending over £200 on the bill to leave still hungry was disappointing, especially as the food was good but nothing amazing that I haven’t had else where with bigger portions. Usually when the portions are so small it’s to savour the flavours, but the flavours were pretty standard. Besides the food, the atmosphere was great as you would expect with the location being Mayfair. The service was impeccable, the waitresses were so attentive and made sure we were comfortable during our entire meal.

Esme was a great waitresses. Very attentative and gave us good recommendations. All the food is yummy, particularly the black cod and the aubergine.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with fantastic service that truly elevated our dining experience. A special mention goes to Eros, who took exceptional care of our group throughout the evening, ensuring that we had everything we needed and more. His attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our night even more enjoyable. As for the food, it was nothing short of divine. Each dish was expertly prepared and beautifully presented, leaving us all thoroughly impressed with the culinary excellence of the restaurant. Definitely recommend for everyone. We have had amazing dinner in Mayfair kitchen last Sunday. The food was so tasty and delicious. Our favourite one was crispy king prawns with Wasabi mayo. Really really enjoyed our time. Very nice wine list selection too and amazing service provided from everyone but special Thank you too Eros( really appreciate his explanation in Italian as my Mom doesn’t speak much english) Bogdan and chef Archit. We will be back for sure!!!

Mayfair Kitchen restaurant is elegant, extensive, and comfy with every breakfast item on their buffet including cold smoked salmon and guacamole. Our server Pauline was especially friendly, attentive, helpful and we would hire her anytime. She made our visit extra special.

The restaurant offers a Japanese and Italian menu. The Italian is reasonable, the Japanese is just not good. The flavors are rough, the seasoning is aggressive (too spicy or too sour) in short, it's not Japanese. The service is exceptional, as for the atmosphere, there is DJ in the place, techno lovers will enjoy it. The price is expensive.

Gnocchi tomatoes and basil are very fragrant, and the grilled sea bass is delicious, but the taste is a bit sour and I am not used to it.

I have visited May Fair Kitchen a few times and each time, I have had an enjoyable experience. Their menu is updated frequently, which has allowed me to try a variety of different dishes. They serve both Japanese and Italian cuisine, and I have found all of their dishes, I've tried to be delicious.

Unprofessional and rude service, only a new Slovakian waitress was up to par. We ordered pizza which arrived with hair, returned it and put it on the bill anyway. I recommend other places in the area

A disgrace to London’s dining scene. Service was decent, but the portion sizes were abysmal to say the least. Went here with my girlfriend, and ordered the ‘Omakase’ tasting menu, to our grave disappointment. Perhaps we both had a pre-existing notion of what ‘Omakase’ means in the context of a Japanese restaurant, but whatever we experienced was definitely semantically distant from its conventional meaning. Menu mentioned the ‘Omakase’ tasting menu totalled 2000+ calories - we left the restaurant in semi-starvation. Going to cook ourselves some noodles when we’re home. Picture I attached is of the ‘baby chicken’. The lemon was the same size as whatever we were served. The other ‘main course’ (the black cod) was equally lacklustre. If you’re here for Omakase, please spend your money somewhere else, and thank me later.

The waiters seemed confused and haste. Took away my unfinished plate all of a sudden, without even checking if I was done- woosh he was gone. Awkward. Couldn’t enjoy or comfortably eat what I paid quite a lot for. Not everyone feels comfortable asking a waiter to bring their plate back. Overall, over priced. The food was tasty, but can’t say the same for mocktails, tasted artificial.

My husband and I went here for dinner craving some Japanese food. The seafood platter was delicious and definitely hit the spot. The cod was my favorite. We also had the shrimp tempura and the aubergine which was good was well. They have an extensive list of wine and sake. The atmosphere of the restaurant was romantic and cozy. I would definitely recommend if you’re in the area. Irina took care of us the entire time and made sure we enjoyed our meal.

Great atmosphere, great vibe, but the food portions are so small, I was hungrier leaving then I was arriving. Plus asked for a birthday desert upon request but until I got there they said they don’t do that. Overpriced for what you get for sure, but the decor is lovely, unlike my bank account the day after 🤷‍♂️

Voilà un restaurant très décevant. Le 25 décembre, un menu de Noël très plaisant est imposé aux clients. A vrai dire, seul le nom du menu permet de se rappeler que vous y dinez un 25 décembre. La décoration de noël ? Il n’y en a pas. La musique de Noël ? Il n’y en a pas. L’ambiance de Noël ? Il n’y en a pas. Que reste t-il de Noël ? Pourquoi avoir appelé ce menu « de Noël » si c’est pour refuser toute référence à Noël ? Pourquoi ne pas l’appeler Menu Barabas ? Munu Pilate ? Ou menu découverte? Au delà de la forme abordons le fonds. Le service est tout simplement médiocre. Goûter le vin ? C’est old school. Offrir du pain si le client en demande ? C’est barbare. Demander au client si toit va bien, sourire, c’est vulgaire. Mettre le volume sonore si haut que l’expérience en devient pénible, c’est l’avenir, surtout si le service traîne en longueur. Heureusement le chef se donne du mal pour sauver le naufrage de la gestion de la salle. C’est bon et même très bon. Pas suffisant à nos yeux pour qu’on ne regrette d’y avoir mis les pieds.

Food was ok. Portions are tiny. Risotto was very salty. Some of the waiters were very helpful and attentive whilst others were not - had to ask for a menu 4 times after being seated. Limited veg options. Facilities were clean and ambience was good. Nice to try as a one off for me.

I absolutely loved my afternoon tea experience here! You will get super full and satisfied with the tea package that includes a free prosecco. The scones with clotted cream and jam were definitely the star of the evening. The waitresses were also very professional and friendly. I think there was just a small miscommunication issue as we were initially told that we can only get the English breakfast tea with our package but then another waitress informed us we can choose any tea we desire. But that's okay, that didn't minimize our satisfaction level at all. I thoroughly enjoyed my tea in a casual yet sophisticated setting. Will come back the next time I visit London, for sure.

The food is very good but portions are far too small

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always been great but last night the service was shocking. Literally no attention to detail. The hostess who showed us to the table was great but that was where it started and ended. Staff couldn’t suggest or recommend anything, we ordered a carafe of wine and it took forever to come to us. It wasn’t even busy and our glasses were empty most of the night and staff kept running off with the carafe, super frustrating. When we asked for a top up for like the 3rd time they brought a brand new one charged to us when we had one going mostly full. In the end we gave up and had to keep getting up from the table and pouring ourselves, this wouldn’t have been as bad if it wasn’t that the place had maybe 6/7 other tables only. Our mains came when all our starter plates were still on the table and the waitress didn’t even bother to clear on placing our mains down, I had to ask her to take the empty plates. Desserts were tasteless and it was sub par super disappointing

Beautiful food beautiful experience

Ambiance, food, drinks and staff here were lovely! I enjoyed the edamame, octopus and beef carpaccio.

I was with a large party, so we had lots of small plates to sample- scallops, shrimp, tartare, chicken… a lot. Service was slow, but the food was very good - not life changing it good, but very well cooked. Favors could be a bit bolder however.

Came here as part of our spa package from the Mayfair Hotel which included lunch at this restaurant. Food is very average, some of the flavours such as the stracciatella strawberry salad were very oddly paired (not to our taste). The ambience is very cosy and warm however, service extremely slow.

Another average restaurant in Mayfair trying to stand out. The food was just ok, but very overpriced. In their defence everything looked pretty. But lacked a bit of "punch". I would avoid.

Beautiful buffet with the best almond milk cappuccino and all kinds of special healthy vegetarian choices! Our server Rubaiyat went above and beyond, even though it was a crazy busy weekend brunch scene- he not only took my special order and executed it perfectly, he was charming, perceptive and prompt. What a lovely treat to have this kind of attentive service, with no need to flag down a surly person just for a coffee! We have eaten here every year when we visit London, and never tire of this place. Great fresh food, a spacious layout and exceedingly well-run.

Breakfast review! Nice food quality and vibe but when visiting for a (mainly buffet) midweek breakfast, you don’t get near enough value for £40 plus service.

This restaurant has recently changed to a Japanese and Italian menu. The food was delicious we ordered octopus, gnocchi, and pizza. You could tell the quality of the ingredients and how fresh everything was. The atmosphere was beautiful with a live DJ setting the mood perfectly for this restaurant. The service was impeccable, very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend and have added this spot as one of my favourites.

Now they serve Italian and Japanese - we only tried sea food - it’s extremely tasty.. you will love the service, Thanks to Eros for his lovely service.

Amazing Food Excellent Service...

Nothing special really unless you want to go feel rich. Being the restaurant attached to an upmarket hotel doesn't make it amazing all of a sudden. Overpriced for a reason, they have a "caking charge" of £5 a person for bringing a cake from outsode 😂 that's just too much 😂 even Nando's isn't cheap enough to charge for it!!

I came here during Easter for their afternoon tea and it was a wonderful experience. The sandwiches were the best I’ve ever had, and I really wish I was hungrier so that I could have eaten more. The chocolate desserts were beautifully crafted and tasted amazing, and the tea was top quality. We were taken care of by welcoming and attentive staff. It took a while for our platter to arrive but it was so worth it. And the place itself is beautiful. I would love to come again because this was probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had

Couldn't fault this place. Attentive without being over the top. Great service, wine list and food! Just trying to think of a reason to come back and visit again...
