Meat eaters were pleased with their choices. But as a vegetarian this place is harder to enjoy. Incorrect bill (not in our favour) given first. But quickly rectified upon query. Still, this was unpleasant. The service is otherwise quick. Our waitress was nice and answered questions promptly.

I visited this posh Polish restaurant about two weeks ago and I must confess thathigh everything was delightful! From the waitresses' excellent service to the food that left incredible memories on my taste buds! And why not finishing your meal with a vodka shot? Highly recommended!

Polish mountain! A place with Polish history in the background. Tasty and very nice. It is worth eating in this place, right after visiting the General Sikorski Institute. First class sour soup ;)

Service is so slow. Been here over an hour and still not had our main meal. Had to remind them what we ordered. Very busy place. It’s great food but we have a booking at the Albert Hall in 30mins. No time for desert or coffee which was a real shame. They were apologetic and we were compensated for the delay.

It's based in the heart of Kensington, the staff is very welcoming and helpful (especially the waiter Krystian!), food is delicious and there a great selection of flavoured homemade vodkas. If you would like to visit a typical polish restaurant in London, this place is a must!

Yesterday I visited a restaurant. Just delighted. Good atmosphere, clean everywhere, friendly waiters and delicious food.

Went there again on a Saturday afternoon, when the kitchen was closed, but fortunately the bar area was still open with a limited choices. Got the pierogi - my all times fav😍 would recommend going there for lunch/ dinner for the lovely outdoor seats!

We went for dinner last night - a belated birthday celebration. A really excellent meal - I had the kolduny - lamb dumplings in a broth - which was something new for me and I really enjoyed. We also had some placki to start, which was full of flavour. Service was friendly and pretty efficient. A couple of things prevent this being a 5 star review. Most obviously this restaurant has a wonderful, quite formal dining room - but we weren't in it. We were put in the tent out the back. Pretty, but a bit chilly (out table was against the canvas wall) and not at all as attractive. That's something that should be made clear at booking - plenty of restaurants let you choose a type of table, so this isn't difficult to get right. Second, note that the menu online isn't exactly what you'll get - it does evolve. It was about 90% accurate, but didn't have the fish I'd planned to have, though on the other hand it did have the kolduny which isn't mentioned online. The online menu is dated from mid February - it really shouldn't be difficult to keep this updated more frequently. Finally, I do see from the reviews that they have been having a thing with fake reviews. Tip: always sort reviews by most recent, not the default view - it's really informative. There's a lot of reviews recently with no detail that are 5s and really don't look like the restaurant's demographic. So while this is showing up as a 4.7 - which would place it really high up the rankings - that may be misleading. The management had said this is a scam, but it's not clear what's going on.

We celebrated my friend’s Birthday and it was a great choice of location for such a special occasion. Ognisko is such an elegant place, it can accommodate small and large parties from casual lunches, business meetings to even wedding parties. I adore this place. If you would like to try Polish cuisine - great! This is the restaurant.

This place is a real hidden gem - the food is incredible and you will experience authentic polish flavours and delicacies. The duck confit and everything it comes with is a particular favourite of mine. Then, of course, you have icy clean vodka to wash it all down with - perfect. Reservations are essential as walk-ins are usually turned away (although a couple of times, I have been turned away only to return 15 mins later after making a booking online).

We booked a table for our anniversary on February 16th and found the online reservation process to be quick and easy. Arriving around 1:00 PM, luckily found a parking space close to the restaurant. For our meal, we ordered the steak tartare, which had a unique taste—different from what we expected but still flavorful and an interesting experience. The roast chicken was excellent, with great taste and seasoning. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Since we were dining with our four-month-old baby, we needed a bit more space for the stroller. Fortunately, they helped arrange a larger seating area, which we had also requested during the online booking process. The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant, making for a nice dining experience overall. However, our experience took a turn at the end. As we left the table and moved to the lobby to feed our baby—allowing them to prepare the table for the next guests—one of the staff members abruptly came out and tossed a baby sock into our stroller without saying a word before walking back inside. While I acknowledged it with a “thanks,” the manner in which it was done felt quite rude and left a negative impression. Overall, we had a mostly great experience with delicious food and good service, but that final interaction soured the experience a bit.

The first time we visited this place was great. The second time was a big disappointment and we were very disappointed with the attitude of the staff. They don't listen to the customer, they have their own agenda, like robots, not people. Too many staff who contribute nothing and are very useless. The principle is simple: I pay and I demand it. Cosmic bills for zero standard. We chose you for the special day of the child's graduation, hoping that we would celebrate everything with a gala dinner. It ended up being a big flop. The Polish waitress did not understand the order in Polish, but she did a great favor to serve us. The number of tables is overwhelming and one sits on the back of the other like in a communist bar. Tightness. While sitting at a table in the middle of the room, someone regularly bumped my chair. I couldn't eat in peace. The food wasn't astonishing in taste either, and it didn't wow me to stay in the memory of the guests. I've been to places with less fuss and pomp, the food and atmosphere were great. Very bad impression and I highly do not recommend this restaurant.

Great food, really great food and good cocktails. The staff are more than pleasant, courteous, polite and helpful, though a little slow. The only thing to mar the experience was that the acoustics in the room make it very difficult to hear convivial conversation with one's table guests. This can easily be solved with a few acoustic panels strategically and harmoniously placed. Perhaps and hopefully the management will read this and take up this suggestion. It will hugely improve the dining experience.

We went for dinner as a group of 3. Ordered steak tartar, pierogi, placki and half duck, all to share. All of them were amazing, especially pierogi. Finished with 2 deserts (sernik could have been sweeter) and were more than full. Overall great experience.

Had an amazing meal here. My first time eating authentic Polish cuisine and I was very impressed. The rain outside the terrace was made for a very nice vibe. Have recommended it to friends and will be back soon!

Booked a table, and was greeted with “yeah?” And the table was not available and offered to sit outside. The service is beyond poor. It’s our third and last time here. The food is really expensive but does not reflect the taste or value. Staff are miserable, and do not attend to you. We were offered wine and told we were non-drinkers and no offer of soft drinks or other, and the server just walked off. Felt uncomfortable, chairs were broken. Overall, an awful experience.

A wonderful find in the heart of London and probably the finest selection of polish cuisine in the capital. Great lunchtime value when selecting the set lunch menu which has two or three courses with a choice of three dishes per course. The portions are generous and a choice of excellent drinks and cocktails make this a special treat. The Vodka selections are the best you will ever see in the UK enjoy and cherish the experience in surroundings of a grand room with real history going back to WW2. Staff are also brilliant and will answer any questions.

A very atmospheric, historic place with a wonderful pre-war atmosphere. Professional and nice service. Great drinks and good appetizers, although as a frequenter of Polish restaurants I may have reservations about the taste (for English customers). These are details. I only tried the starters, I didn't have the opportunity to taste the main courses. Large portions, aesthetically presented. The owner is committed, he is visible in the room, he cares about quality. I will definitely go back there.

Really enjoyed this meal. It was reasonably quiet early on but got busy later Excellent food and atmosphere. Great service. Our desserts were a bit slow arriving because it had got really busy. The waiter brought us some complimentary quince vodkas. We were just chatting and hadn't complained or even really noticed! Very good ambience for a relaxed lunch with friends.

Lovely venue , congested at entrance collecting coats , starter was brought too quickly we had only just been brought our bread . Mains tasty . Service efficient and friendly . Baked apple in pastry sweet almost underdone . Honey vodka excellent . Enjoyable meal and would come back

I don't understand rave reviews. Tar-tar was served with burnt bread, pancakes with salmon - the salmon was stale, and the pancakes looked like they had been bought in a store. The rabbit's foot was cooked terribly. No one met me in the locker room at the entrance. Leaving 150 pounds for the two of us, we were disappointed.

A regular stop when we are in London. Fabulous food and drinks along with lovely service and ambiance. We always enjoy the pelmeni and pierogie and this visit added the bigos that was a true delight. Will definitely revisit soon!

We managed to get a table without a reservation. The staff were friendly and warm. The restaurant has a nice ambience. The food and vodka were delicious! Good value for money.

I've eaten here often, but it was my partner's first time, and he was extremely impressed. We received a warm welcome and excellent service. There is plenty of choice for non-meat eaters. We picked from the A La Carte menu, and every dish was superb (beetroot starter, different fish dishes), as was the house white. Imperceptible music, perhaps from the bar, made for a quiet, relaxing lunch, but with a buzz from being quite busy. Highly recommended.

Excellent lunch. I can't fault it. I had sledz for starters followed by duck pierogi - both were very good. The outside space was warm and atmospheric. I really liked the place.

Everything as expected, the only thing I can't recommnd is the rabbit leg, it was too overwhelmed by the sour cabbage sauce, everything else was amazing! Service, ambience and atmosphere. Perfect for a big family dinner or a date for two.
