Locale molto curato, ambientazione storica e con ottimo servizio. La cucina polacca è stata una piacevole sorpresa . Per farsi perdonare del ritardo ci hanno servito un bicchierino di ottima vodka ghiacciata. Questa serata ha arricchito il nostro soggiorno londinese !

Staff were attentive and friendly. The prom menu was good value for money and food was plentiful. But tables crammed together, meant the noise levels were horrendous and this is why our experience was marked down

Sat for thirty minutes as our server neglected to input our order. We had no choice but to leave without eating. Hugely disappointing.

This is such a charming restaurant with a beautiful, timeless outdoor seating area that is tastefully decorated with flowers and a white tarp to protect against the sun. The wooden decor and formal wear of the staff gives an upscale, classy atmosphere, perfect to bring the parents and grandparents (which made up the majority of other diners present). My companions and I had kopytka dumplings, krolik (rabbit's leg), keta caviar blini (little pancakes with sour cream and salmon roe), cheese potato pierogi, cheesecake, and apple pierogi. All of the food was delicious and well-presented. While the staff were very friendly and helpful, I did get the sense that perhaps they were stretched a tad thin, as we had to wait for a while to place our orders and for the check after being given the bill. The waits were very minor, though, and perhaps if I'd been less tired and ready to head home, I wouldn't have cared. I am also very grateful that our water was always topped up with having to ask. I cannot stress enough how gorgeous the view was. We overlooked this gorgeous picturesque park and with the amazing food and friendly staff, this was a great experience. I'd love to come again!

Opposite the entrance to Imperial College in Exhibition Road, this large house had been recommended by a student graduating from Imperial. With super friendly staff and bar at the front of the house, the restaurant is like a dining room in a posh house though with more tables. White table clothes and sophisticated antique chairs this has a cosy feel like no other. We went in summer and so chose the outdoor terrace which looks out across Prince’s Gardens. High end Polish food is on offer and the main danger is overeating. The smoked eel was solid and generous served on Russian salad, the herring and toasted blinis were accompanied by egg and cream and were delicious. And then the mains – The stars of the show. My salt beef was generous, perfectly cooked and with plentiful gherkins and new potatoes. And the spatchcock chicken was tender and full of flavour. Coffee was strong and good too. The service is warm, attentive with plenty of staff to help out. They coordinated their efforts to produce the right thing at the right moment. We went for 100ml of vodka served in a tiny carafe over ice poured and drank this from tiny shot glasses – The right move with all the richness of the food. The bill at £60 per head this is not for everyday consumption but for the experience, the quality and the location, the bill represented good value. Recommended.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. We popped in for dinner after spending the day at the Science Museum. Ognisko is a few minutes down the street in a very nice building. It's a lovely, elegant, white linen restaurant. It has an inviting lobby with fresh flowers and great lighting. The service was spectacular. Our server was attentive, always smiling and helpful. We each ordered the lamb shashlik plates and added the grilled pork sausage and cheese & onion pierogi. The pierogis we ordered came four to a plate with some yogurt sauce. They were soft, hot and so tasty. The pork sausage was equally delightful and flavorful. The portions were plentiful; our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs and we were happy to take some home. My husband ordered a Kozlak beer as well and was impressed. We could not stop raving about the experience all the way home. It's a shame we don't live in London, I'd come back here anytime. 100% recommend!

Had such a delicious traditional meal there recently, set in a beautiful expansive Victorian dining room. The food was exceptional, martinis extra cold. Service was cheerful and friendly. The food, flawless. They make each dish with love and my Polish friend was instantly taken back to his childhood. There are modern, elevated riffs on the Polish classics. Duck perogi and braised ham hock outstanding, as was the kaszanka with rosti. My only criticism is each dish is so confident it seems that the garnish of micro cress on everything is a bit unnecessary and kind of ruins the visual appeal and honesty of each dish. It makes the dishes look a bit dated. Anyway, that’s how good my meal was - to be critical of the garnish! If you go to town on the premium vodka expect the bill to be reflective of this however the food is priced pretty reasonably. Cocktails too.

I have eaten here before, and it was fine. This time I came in personally for a booking inquiry. The place was very busy, but the woman I spoke with regarding my request for a lunch table the following day was so abrupt and unwelcoming, I felt like I was trying to make a hospital appointment! I felt like I had to slink out of the restaurant in shame! For goodness sake, don’t you understand you are lucky to be busy, and sending a customer away in this manner, without even letting them know you hope they return is a sure way to make them never return?

Easily one of the best restaurants in London. Stunning ambience, delicious food and overall a truly authentic Polish experience. Highly recommend!

Just lovely. Old school but in a nice way.

Sat on beautiful terrace and well looked after. Food very good save for pork escalope which was dry and had been cooked well in advance. Should not happen!

Service and atmosphere is top class. The place is clean and quiet. My daughter really enjoyed the time there. Food was ok. Breading of Schnitzel would be better with breadcrumbs instead of cornflakes.

An excellent supper before the Proms in a lovely location on the terrace overlooking the park. Interesting flavours highlighting Polish cooking with liberal use of horseradish. The hot smoked salmon and salt beef are particularly recommended. The house wine was very drinkable on a a summer's evening and good value.

Three of us had dinner on Friday evening. We sat on the terrace. Lovely atmosphere. Great food and great service.

The food is seasoned and spiced to perfection. Every bit of salad and vegetable has flavour, fish and meat are fresh and tender. The staff are welcoming and accommodating, they are patient and able to listen. The speed of service at a restaurant pace. Not too quick, not too slow. Highly recommended, upmarket take on Polish traditional dishes. Will visit again soon. Thank you.

Good Eastern European and Baltic cuisine. The pelmenis with tiny bits of green sprouts were nearly perfect. The Swedish seafood salad was refreshing. Overall, the portions were just the right size. My non-alcoholic cocktail recommendation is the Forest Spritz. The main hall could use more light, but overall, it’s a nice, classic European restaurant.

We had a fabulous meal on the terrace - the staff are superb, the food fabulous and the overall ambience is just lovely. One of my absolute favourite places which I always feel confident to take people to.

We were looked after really well by our server. They were super polite and attentive! The food was exceptional, our favourite was the chicken liver starter! Lastly the drinks were fab, our favourite was the cherry vodka! Will definitely be returning.

This was my second time dining at Ognisko. Previously, I had lunch with friends, which was delightful, and there was a choice of a set menu. This time was dinner and it was equally a lovely experience. The ambience sitting outside on the covered terrace or inside the low lit dining room was charming and very congenial. The courses are tasty and quite filling, so be prepared. Wonderful, understated professional service from the staff. Definitely will be revisited again in autumn. Highly recommend.

The dumplings with veal and pork were delicious, and the chicken Kiev beautifully cooked: crisp on the outside and moist and succulent on the inside. I would, however, have liked some more vegetables with the dish - and with the set menu there was no option to order any sides. The ambience on the terrace was lovely, albeit a tad cramped on wobbly chairs. The service was attentive, courteous, friendly, and efficient. Will definitely come back!

Another great visit to the restaurant. Food was from the set menu for the Proms. A good selection of starters, mains and desserts and everything was amazing as ever. Perfect dinner before a night at the Proms!

Ognisko is a gem. Authentic but contemporary Polish fare served in a delightful ambience (the terrace is one of the nicest in London) and with highly professional and attentive staff. I rbought a friend who had never been before, and they were very impressed. Prices are mid-range to expensive, but the prices represent the quaility of the product.

What an absolute gem, and an absolute honor to be able to bring someone here and show off your culture! I am from NYC and I WISH we had a place like this! The food was a 11/10 can’t wait to go back!

I have been living/travelling to Poland for over 30 years and have been to many Polish restaurants but Ognisko in London beats the lot with a wide selection of superbly cooked Polish (but not only) dishes. A group of 21 celebrated 3 family birthdays on the garden terrace last Sunday and all had a terrific time. The food was excellent (pelimeni being our favourite dish) accompanied by Ognisko's own brand Kavka Vodka and a good choice of wine. The staff was friendly, efficient and patient (we had 7 young kids). Thank you Ognisko for a memorable occasion .

Had lunch with 4 friends last Friday. We had Polish vodka based cocktails (very strong but delicious!) We ordered the set lunch menu 2 courses £24 or 3 courses £29. It was all very delicious and filling. I recommend the Seabream from the set lunch menu, but my friends had chicken Kiev & and Schnitzel, which were equally delicious. Beautiful classy decor and ambience throughout. Excellent customer service from all the attentive staff! There's also a covered terrace outside overlooking the park. Lovely treat, and I will definitely visit again..

The food as always was excellent. Ambience perfect. Service was slightly off the pace at times for a quieter weeknight. Overall, it was a lovely evening.

Ognisko is a really good restaurant from every viewpoint: great food, caring courteous, beginning to end service, and very pleasant ambiance. The outdoor terrace during fine weather is an additional treat. Highly recommended.

Ognisko is a great restaurant and a good place to meet up with friends. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent and the restaurant setting is relaxing and of a high quality. We visited on a hot sunny day and had a table on the terrace overlooking the park. The menu is somewhat unusual but the food is very tasty and offers an excellent choice. The wine list is good and offers a choice from a reasonable price to high end expensive. We have been many times and have never had a bad meal.

Excellent. We loved everything we had. Special mention goes to the pelmeni, which we had as a main course, which we accompanied with red cabbage.

Food with a distinct Eastern European flavor, with quality maintained since it's opening. The prefixed meal is a real bargain and offers good choice. On the main menu our favorite, braised rabbit, has been on the menu for a number of years.

Took my husband here for his birthday yesterday, everything was exceptional. Great food, service, atmosphere. We sat in the terrace which was lovely. Deserves all the praise and I’m glad I listened to the google reviews and booked this place! We will definitely be back!

Always good value for money with exceptional service

This is the most exciting Polish restaurant in London. Always busy, cocktails, food, wine always delicious. My favourite this time - soused herring in linseed oil followed by chicken livers with cherries in a rich, dark, creamy sauce. The placed buzzed with enthusiasm.

Nice Polish restaurant in Kensington London. Beautiful terrace with a park view. I ordered Chłodnik which is kind of a cold beetroot soup that I really like ordering summer time. Enjoyed this a lot. Nice flavour, very balanced and refreshing. I also ordered tartare. I love tartare and always order it if it’s in the menu. Tartare was drowned in sauce to the extend I did not taste any meet only a sauce which completely diminished the idea of the dish. For the desert I ordered karpatka recommended by the waiter. I got a piece of pie thad did not look or tasted like karpatka however under a different name it was a really nice pie.

Great food with a few new dishes since last visiting in March. Enjoyed sitting in the outer tented area on this pleasant summer’s evening as less noisy than in the main restaurant. Thanks to the bar staff for finding the requested tomato juice rather than the initially served ‘Big Tom’ mix, far too spicy for me.

A beautiful venue for a family get together and perfect before a concert at the nearby Royal Albert Hall. Staff were welcoming and served us promptly so we were able to fully relax and enjoy their special 2 or 3 course pre-concert meal. We will definitely return and tell our friends

I really liked the outdoor terrace and location. I found the mushroom dumplings very salty though. And the service was very slow and I had to wait a long time to be able to pay. I had to get up to ask them an it made me late for my next appointment.

While the food and service were excellent and the decor is lovely this restaurant is noisy enough when full to make hearing a dining companion difficult to hear. This is down to the hard surfaces in the space, and one large space. Other than the noise though, this restaurant was simply fantastic, and I say this as a vegetarian lover of Polish food

We had a lovely meal at Ognisko. Food was delicious and well presented. Portions were generous. However, our booking was at 17:45 because it was the only slot available until almost 20:30 pm but when we arrived to the restaurant , this was empty. We booked as it was my friend’s birthday but on entering, even though I told the gentleman behind the bar we had a booking, no one seemed to be bothered whether or not we had made one. I requested, if possible , to be seated on the terrace but were told they had the whole area reserved for a large booking at 19:00 pm and that we had to be gone by then if we wanted to seat there. We chose to seat inside. Then afterwards , the main room remained empty until the time we left, as the outdoor terrace slowly started being filled up by tables of two. My friend’s birthday, was of course, not acknowledged. Apart from this, the ambience, location and prices make of this restaurant a good spot in London to try delicious Polish food.

I took an American cousin and her family, who I hadn't seen for many years, so I wanted to make it special. Ognisko didn't disappoint! The food, service, and setting were marvelous. I had been there before to check the place out, so was not surprised. 3 American children - 15, 18, and 20 years old. Took to the menu with gusto. Many thanks Ognisko for a memorable lunch, making a memorable day!

We come here as a group every year and always love it. It was a busy night but the staff coped admirably and the food was delicious, especially the chicken livers (I always have them). A big thank you for doing separate bills for all 9 of us. It saves me a lot of work 🙏🏼

I was in London for my flight to Korea so I was looking for any Polish restaurant near Hyde Park and I found Ognisko Restaurant so I decided to pop in for a visit and to my surprise they were serving "Chłodnik Litewski" a cold beet soup which I never had a chance to try before but I heard so many good stories about it so I ordered Chłodnik Litewski and Kopytka served in creamy mushroom-chestnut sauce which is a gnocchi like dish and single shot of Baczewski Vodka which I never tried before. Overall the food was amazing Chłodnik Litewski literally tasted heavenly I never knew how a beet-kefir-dill made dish can create such a flavour to die for Kopytka gnocchi were were very soft delicious and with mushrooms chestnuts so perfectly complementing the softness of gnocchi Food was simply top-notch 5/5 I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting central London

The food was absolutely amazing. Very unique and interesting flavors. We had the duck confit and fig pierogies, the polish sausage, the rabbit, and the cod. Everything was excellent. I would love to go back again to try everything else on the menu. Very authentic! My grandmother and her family were from Poland so I grew up eating real polish cuisine. I’ve never found a restaurant that serves such authentic and delicious polish cuisine.

We were in London for over a week and this was one of the best (if not the best) meals we had on our trip. Every dish was fantastic. The cocktails also exceeded expectations! It was a bit more formal inside than I was expecting, felt a tad bit underdressed. Would recommend at least a collared shirt.

Come to this magical bar and dining room for the best vodka martinis in London served by the friendliest bar and wait staff. I love the pickles and brown bread to snack on when deciding what to eat, although I never manage to order a main course that isn't too much to finish. Doesn't matter! This is a fabulous place!

It's always a joy to dine at Ognisko. The food is delicious and we never tire of it. We had a lovely bottle of wine too this time and I personally love the rose and fig cocktail! We had introduced a couple more of our friends yesterday who had never eaten there before and they absolutely loved it too!

Beautiful place with amazing food!

We went following a recommendation from friends. The building is beautiful and the staff friendly and attentive. Our only comment other than everything was excellent was that the service was slow. We were on a time schedule as going to a concert at the Albert Hall at 7.30 and having booked a table for 5.30 we still had not received our main course at 6.50. In hindsight that was completely our fault for not making them aware. We would definitely recommend and would like to visit again when we are not time pressured.

Great start to the experience with delicious Beetroot Martini’s expertly mixed. Elegant dining room retaining its 1940’s atmosphere. You can taste the history. The food was exceptionally well cooked and the service and attention to detail by all of the staff was impeccable. We would highly recommend this dining venue.

Great choice of polish cuisine classics. Very competently done. Good selection of drinks. Great service and amazing buzz in the restaurant. Prices on the steep side, probably to justify the history of the establishment. Will be back

Ognisko is a unique experience in Central London. The space inside and out feels open and welcoming. Staff are friendly and enthusiastic. The food is delicious and the cocktails inventive. Enjoy a night that feels like you’re visiting Poland.

Always a lovely experience with delicious food and amazing cocktails

We chose Ognisko for a gathering of 20 of us, sat on two tables of 10 on the terrace, and had a marvellous time. The staff are always so welcoming and don't hurry you - they could see many of us hadn't seen each other for many years, and had lots to catch up on. They were also fantastically helpful with group photos! We've decided to make our get-together an annual thing, if we can, and will definitely return to Ognisko.

When we visit England we love eating here, especially under the awning. The food is great, and not only in quality, so we recommend ordering the smaller portions rather than the larger. On this recent occasion, sadly, a raucous birthday party next to our table rather spoilt our evening with old friends.

Top class experience! Love the way the menu is updated regularly to be in synch with the season. This being summer, a cucumber martini and peach salad were the perfect way to start. The sea bream main course was likewise fresh and tasty. Service was excellent: attentive, but not overbearing.
