It’s relaxed, the ambiance is perfect, the lighting is subtle, the attention to service is always there but not in your face, the food is second to none. There is nothing to fault. The Pre-Theatre menu is unbelievable value. One of the best dining experiences around.

We went to Jermyn at Christmas time, hoping to enjoy the Beef Wellington, we had heard so much about on the Internet. Unfortunately the experience was not as expected. The staff was reserved but polite. The service was slow and our order was mixed up. We waited for almost 20 minutes for our aperitif, which was clearly forgotten. No problem. Things like that can happen on a busy day. However there was no word of apology for the delay. When ordering the Beef Wellington, we were told it would take about 45 minutes, which we were fine with. At the same time a family at the table across from us, also ordered Beef Wellington. After about 50 minutes their Beef Wellington arrived before ours. No problem. We expected ours to be out next. Unfortunately, a table at the other end of the restaurant got a Beef Wellington shortly after them, even though they arrived at least 20 minutes after us. We asked our server about our order. He silently walked off, probably to ask about our order. It took him a good 15 minutes to come back to tell us we would be next. After another 15 minute wait our Beef Wellington arrived. The meat was cooked to perfection and it was a delicious meal. However, there was no apolgy for the wait. Just a short: „I will try to comp the wine.“ When the bill arrived the wine was not taken off the bill. Which in itself was not the problem, if the server had mentioned that he tried, but couldn’t make it work. But still, no word from him. At the end he gave us a plate of chocolates, with „Congratulations“ written on it. Again, without a word of explanation. We assumed it was meant as an apology, but we are not sure, since nobody bothered to speak to us. The whole evening felt like us being there was a huge nuisance for the staff. This is something we are not used to, since most staff (even at fine dining restaurants) are outgoing and clearly enjoy interacting with the customers. If you don’t need good service, then the food is worth a visit. If you feel that good service is part of a great night out, then 45 Jermyn Street is not the restaurant for you.

My best friend from our teenage years and my Dad and I enjoyed such a lovely unhurried morning together yesterday sharing a delicious breakfast in your beautiful restaurant. Sophie general manager gave us such a genuinely warm welcome and she and her team served us throughout with such grace and care. We were given a lovely circular table with comfortable space to spread out into and from our vantage point in the corner of the room we had a nice open view out across the restaurant. There was a pleasant and warm atmosphere and I sensed that other diners were loving being there too. The food was delicious and top notch. I am a lover of porridge and the bowl presented to me was smooth and milky and excellent. I also loved my freshly chopped fruit salad platter and my toast and orange marmalade. My friend was delighted with her smoked salmon, grilled mushrooms, avocado chilli salsa and sourdough toast, as well as her bowl of coconut chia mango pudding. My Dad gave his Welsh rarebit with a rasher of crispy bacon laid across the top ten out of ten. We enjoyed several pots of English Breakfast tea amongst us too which were very good. It was a thoroughly lovely morning. We Thankyou all for your warm welcome and we are already looking forward to returning in the springtime and this time bringing my brother too. Thankyou and I wish all of you a gentle and happy new year of 2025 ahead. Warm greetings to you from Sarah.

Not worth what we paid. From the seating being very close so its hard to have a personal conversation to getting our water order wrong, twice ( wanted still and got sparkling, then they just poured the still INTO the sparkling) the service and the food were just not worth the money. My lamb was cold and sinewy, the veg was also cold. My wife's steak was tough and poorly cooked also. Service seems haphazard, with different people all the time...it took a long time to get a drink, get the plates cleared or even to place our order. If you want a higher end experience I would not recommend this place....over rated for what you pay

Our first time at 45 Jermyn St but it will not be our last. We had an 8p reservation and arrived about 715p to see if they could fit us in early. They made room for us and we had a great table. The service was great. Our waiter greeted us and we started with drinks and some edamame. After drinks we ordered a fabulous dinner of flambe' lobster spaghetti for two. We had a couple of sides; peas and leeks and buttered kale with chili. They were both excellent as was the spaghetti. We thoroughly enjoyed the service, food, atmosphere and attentiveness. After eating out all the entire week in London in restaurants around Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Belgravia and Covent Garden, 2 or 3 times daily, I can say with confidence and 100% honesty that this restaurant is the BEST of them all in terms of quality, portion, service, atmosphere. We are always satisfied every time we visit, mostly for dinners . I read reviews about prices, but these are all in line with other central London restaurants, even as ‘far’ as Battersea and Richmond. At least here in 45 Jermyn, you get great value . Also, to note , because I am fussy, I liked that they have separate gents and ladies washrooms, well-kept and heavenly Bamford hand soap. And no, this place is not for Instagram freaks aka Sketch, but you go here to eat good food and not to pose for photos.

My parents often say I live a charmed life, and so to prove them right I decided to grab lunch to recover from the hell that is Fortnum’s ground floor at Christmas. I ordered the roast beef and some chips and carrots. What I wasn’t told either by the menu or staff is that the beef comes with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese and parsnips and cabbage. I can only imagine how gluttonous I must have looked like to the other diners. The beef was lovely and tender, given the choice of rare or well done I obviously went rare. The roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were a bit of a letdown for me, I felt they weren’t anywhere near the standard and my dad can do better. The carrots were decent and the cauliflower was really nice and creamy. The chips were really good and needed to make up for the lacklustre roast potatoes. I didn’t touch the other veg as it’s not my thing so lucky I ordered the carrots. I think to make the main 10/10, it needed another slice of beef, a choice on the veg to stop waste and maybe another potato or two so another side would be unnecessary. This main with extras therefore came to roughly £50 inc service. I then had the apple crumble coupe to finish which was light and exactly what was needed to finish the roast before. Overall, the food was really good, but I felt the sides were unnecessary and necessary at the same time. They could easily have been incorporated in the headline price yet meant I spent another £15, which left me feeling like Rob Reiner in the Wolf of Wall Street.

Should be so much better than it is. The details should be perfect but they are lacking. The veg is too salty, everything else is not salty enough. The staff are ill trained and all over the shop. Been here today for breakfast. Having checked out some of the reviews here, I was a little skeptical for the service. I read some people commenting about it being unfriendly. My experience was completely opposite of that. Women at the entrance were very friendly and chatty both for when I arrived and left. Service personnel were very professional, always smiling, keeping a close eye on our table topping up our drinks and asking if we want anything extra without bothering us by asking too often. Food was good. I had a Greek yogurt granola which was a very generous portion as well as tasty. The only thing for me was that it was a busy morning and the place was loud with everyone chatting away but there is nothing they can do about it. It in fact only shows it’s a busy and popular space. I very much enjoyed my experience at 45 Jermyn St. Located right down the street from my hotel and theaters, you enter into a very elegant setting with super-attentive staff. I was quickly seated at a nice 2-top (I was alone) in a row of bench seating. Since nobody was ever seated near me during my stay, I had this area of the restaurant to myself -- which was fine. I went with the pre-theatre menu, since I was attending a show later. I started with the smoked salmon, then had the seabass for my main, and the eton mess coupe for dessert. The smoked salmon was delicious and served with soda bread and three accompaniments (eg., capers etc). Yummy. The seabass was one portion size, and was more than enough for my appetite (I've been to restaurants where they serve two and that's just too much for me). It was perfectly cooked, but I wished it came with a nice white wine reduction or something similar as it had no sauce. (The menu says it comes with sauce vierge, but if mine had that, I totally missed enjoying any.) I should've asked about it at the time, but didn't realize it was missing something until about halfway through. It had the other elements of "sauce vierge," so maybe it was just reduced down too much and lacked any of the actual sauce. This was the one off note to an otherwise enjoyable meal. Service was impeccable, always attentive without being intrusive. The dessert was delicious too! Highly recommended. The dinner was served in a timely manner, giving me plenty of time to make my show. (I made 5:30 reservations for a 7:30 showtime.)

What a disappointment. The hype leading up to my booking was something - I booked well in advance for the famous 45 Jermyn St breakfast and purposefully left the airport amidst a really complicated transit to experience the eggs royale. Well, please do yourself a favor and, unless you happen to be walking past, don’t go out of your way. I was dining as a single diner (with hand luggage and airplane hair) and it was the generic experience that is spoken of - hide her and get her out. The website describes long, leisurely brunches alone or with friends. Wrong. I ordered the highly anticipated Eggs Royal (I was STARVING and lo and behold, I thought they were kidding when my bennie was dropped off. One tiny egg on a tiny English muffin with a blob of hollandaise. Thankfully it looked a little more delightful with a bit of cracked black pepper on it! I needed somewhere to stay for the hour so ordered another beverage and although the restaurant was at around - maybe a 10 percent capacity? It wasn’t the most welcoming. Pity.

Both dishes arrived in good time and both as hot as expected. Unfortunately, the quality of the food wasn’t as high as I’d expected from such an high end restaurant. I’ve had better tasting & quality of sausage in a countryside B&B. It felt like it was all a bit style over substance! It’s not cheap, but I wasn’t expecting it to be but I was expecting the food quality to be commensurate with the price, sadly it wasn’t. Not terrible but certainly not as good as I’d hoped.

I went to this restaurant a long time ago and I will never go back. I ordered risotto with asparagus and morels. As soon as I finished the dish I started to feel strange and had to go home cancelling my plans for the rest of the evening. I was vomiting all night and had to call the doctor. The doctor asked me what food I had eaten. The doctor was sure that the reason for my illness was morel poisoning as they are very toxic and that I would be taken to the hospital if the symptoms got worse. I did not know that morels were toxic when I ordered the dish especially if they are not cooked properly. The doctor advised me to call the restaurant and report it. I informed the restaurant and they said they would investigate but they did not and they ignored me for weeks without answering my calls or emails.

I had a really bad welcome from a tall blond girl. I felt discriminated by the way she spoke to my friends and I, as we just wanted to have a drink. I used to come to this place often, but now that she works here, I am not experience it again.

A superb upscale restaurant in St James. Food is superb, the wine list excellent and the service is great. Smart casual dress, we had a wonderful dinner.

The food and drink we had at 45 Jermyn was some of the best we had in London. Not only was the beef Wellington cooked perfectly, but the table side show made it all the better. The cocktails made by the bartenders were equally amazing! Worth every penny we spent! The wait staff was incredible as well!

Decor is lovely and spacious. I went for breakfast - recommend if you're looking for a place for an informal morning meeting. The breakfast menu is not as generous as the dinner menu. Buckwheat pancakes and rarebit are worth a try. Not many vegetarian options for breakfast

Great experience, the wellington is some of the best meat I’ve eaten, presented with some great pazazz with the table side sauce flambé. Expensive but good value. Recommended.

This place is absolutely beautiful inside, but don’t be lured into a false sense of security. Multiple members of staff, hostess and a bartender are so rude. Giving you dirty looks and attitude if you ask them a question. We ordered breakfast, and crumpets were burnt and dry, could barely cut them with our knives, and the eggs were only lukewarm, you’ll get your nice instagram pic in here for sure but you’ll be ripped off and be glad to leave ASAP, I definitely was!

Convenient location and a great place to relax and enjoy nice food . We loved our starters ( “Elegant rarebit), our mains ( Calves liver and Pork ragout) and dessert we shared - Lemon Meringue. Our wine was very interesting Riesling from Luxembourg ! From start to beginning we really enjoyed ! We will be definitely coming back to try Beef Wellington !

Returned for a second visit (for breakfast)some months later whilst in London to be greeted by such a warm and charming welcome by Tahirah who had served us on our first visit and actually remembered us personally which is quite incredible. This level of service is tremendous and that alone would encourage us to return again. Food is absolutely outstanding and look forward to our next visit. Thank you Tahirah!

Exceptional spot to meet and dine. Lovely space and excellent food. So many things to recommend. Rarebit , risotto, Knickerbocker glory...all the drinks. Today, June 2024, I had lunch with a friend of mine, who had her 2.5 year old baby and stroller. The courtesy and helpfulness, and attentiveness of the entire team towards all of us, especially the kid, put us at ease, and was very very appreciated. The food as always was delicious and we were never rushed. We were looked after so well, it really made all the difference and made this wonderful day even more perfect.

My wife and I booked this while on our honeymoon trip to try a beef wellington for the first time and have some caviar. I saw online that the restaurant did table side service for both, so we booked it the day of our reservation. I was concerned a little about how we'd be received, since we were Americans visiting without having super dressy clothes since it sounded fancy. Ultimately there was no dress code and we were treated extremely well by all of the staff. Our waiter was great and super friendly throughout dinner. We ordered the caviar for table side service which exceeded expectations, as the scrambled eggs were made in front of us, which were probably the best scrambled eggs we've ever had, along with the other great accompaniments that came with the caviar for us to enjoy. We both got cocktails throughout dinner, which were also great. We got the beef wellington for two, with the sauce being flambéed tableside and the server cutting the beef wellington for us. The presentation was great and the food was even better. The beef wellington for two was arguably too much food for us on its own with the green beans and au gratin coming as sides, but all were delicious. It was everything we'd hoped it would be, and the staff was amazing to us. We'd definitely come back again in the future to try their other dishes after having tried the main event. It was certainly an experience and meal fit for a special honeymoon moment in London.

Even with a hefty price tag, it's a memorable experience with great food. The service is very friendly as well. We had asparagus soup which was incredibly tasty. For mains, it was our first time trying beef wellington, so I cannot compare with others, but it seemed to have been prepared correctly and the flambéed sauce and sides were a great plus. For dessert, the raspberry soufflé was mind-blowing, I definitely recommend it.

Dopo parecchi anni sono tornato alle. Origini il. Primo locale in cui ho lavorato nel. 2012 appena arrivato a Londra. Locale sempre carino su due piani il. Secondo piano usato per feste e il. Primo come bar e ristorante.

Ci ritorneremo.
