Freindly service, beer average still worth a visit

Lovely pub, never any trouble that I've witnessed and always a great selection of beer,bar snacks and baps. Best place for warmth and a nice cobbled outdoors seating area.

As the Warwickshire Regional Lead for the no fuss networking brand I should like to say a BIG thank you to Gemma & Andy, the new landlords as the Windmill Inn in Rugby. The Windmill Inn is our partner venue for our monthly Rugby Buzz event. Gemma & Andy make Buzz super welcome each month. We love you pub, which is clean & fresh. The coffee is good too. It is a pleasure to partner with you.

Great little place in Rugby for a decent real beer. Will definitely visit again.

Another great visit to The Windmill. The Licencees were on duty and were very very helpful this visit I was with my disabled friend who is in a wheelchair ♿️ and we needed the doors to the smoking area holding open so I could push the wheelchair ♿️ outside, the only drawback was the smoking shelter was not wheelchair friendly as there was a really big step up to get into it. But we managed to shelter from the rain under a table umbrella 🌂 so all was good. We were also helped with the doors when we left overall 9 stars out of 10.

Great selection of real ales friendly staff and realy dog friendly with dog biscuits and water station pleasant outdoor seating only a quick visit but will take time to visit again for longer

Always a friendly welcome and a good pint

Visited this pub for a couple of pints while shopping and the service was fantastic. The barman could not do enough for me as I'm a bit wobbly on my feet he brought my drinks over to the table, which was very kind. Bonus was the football was on a large screen TV overall 10 out of 10 will definitely return again.

I really like the feel of this pub, it feels very homely and the staff are always welcoming. They have a large range of ales and ciders on tap, it is a little more pricey than other pubs in the area but I feel it is worth it.

Qieter than i remember. Good beer and pleasant staff.

Went into the windmill on Saturday night, was served our drinks at 2225, went to the bar at 2240,for another round was informed bar closed, our first round was£22 + no wonder pubs are closing down

What a genuine friendly pub, really nice staff, great beer, cosy, and i have to say an amazing Sunday lunch! We came in yesterday, loved it. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Today was the worst ever I came across to see my drink was disappeared and the pub claimed did not see, and refused to provide any alternative. It was disappointing, disgraceful, shameful and disgusting thing to do with a regular customer. I have never seen any pub in the whole England, UK and world did stupid and awful act of cheapness, uncivilised and backward behaviour, of this nature. They deserve the worst rating for what they have done!!!!

Loverly old pub,we enjoyed a cob and a pint.great selection of beers,and the landlord was very welcoming and even gave us a bowl of water for the dog, plus some dog biscuits. Will certainly go in again

We have been coming here for the past couple of weeks and the atmosphere is perfect! The Landlord is a very nice guy who always tries to have a joke and a chat. The beer is perfect, with the ales and ciders they have on tap are a fab selection. If you want to try a new ale or cider, just ask and they are happy to oblige by giving you a taster glass. Prices are competitive in my opinion with £3.80 for an ale and £4.20 for a cider. The left of the picture is Lilleys Mango 4% and on the right is Oakham pale ale 3.8%. Both an exceptional pint! Snack prices are good too with Real brand crisps at £1.50 approx and cobs made to order which ever filling you like for £2.50. We will continue to come back as the atmosphere with the not too loud music and the customers the pub does get is not full of youngsters. Perfect little pub and I am glad it is restored to what it is! Thanks again!

Good friendly Rugby town centre pub. Worth a visit

My first ever visit (2/23) to this pub with a couple of friends. A bit disappointing tbh. The range of beers was not as good as other real ale pubs, with several pale ales but only one true bitter - which was unavailable anyway (new barrel). It also took the barmaid a long time to serve us despite the place not being that busy. In addition they had run out of their limited food offering (filled rolls) by 1.00. Will give it another chance but rather underwhelming.

Smiley, welcoming staff. Good choice of beverages. Nice atmosphere and the all important clean loos. Plan to visit again to try the food next time.

What a great friendly bar. Lots of room with a great selection of beer. Food is Jamaican cuisine from likkle Jerk with a great offering of curry chicken, goat, plantain and saltfish. Well worth trying

Popped in for a pint of Thatchers Gold, it tasted nothing like Thatcher's Gold it had a lime taste to it.

Very disappointed on a visit to the Windmill Pub. The landlord is aggressive and rude. After a lovely day socialising at Rugby Bikefest, we decided to go and have two soft drinks at The Windmill Pub Rugby. I order two ginger ales and was astounded that the cost was £4.80 I told the bar staff it was ridiculous price for two soft drinks and order two halves of cider. The landlord became aware of my unhappiness and became aggressive and said I quote ‘if we could not afford the prices we should not come out’ and refused to serve the cider which I presume was cheaper and proceeded to pour all four drinks away!! Very disappointed how this was dealt with and it just shows how this penalises people that want to balance their alcohol intake with these inflated prices.

Great beer, what looks to be a good menu although we didn't eat plenty were a seemed to be loving it.

A brilliant pub, incredibly friendly staff and a really well kept up interior. The selection of beers and ales is impressive, 15 on tap when we visited. Would recommend to anyone in Rugby!

Dark inside, not very welcoming. Very few customers, considering the time of the day on a Saturday. Beer not good, asked for butty bach and saw it being poured, but no way was it butty bach. Won't be going back in a hurry

Homely place to chill for a drink

First visit ; believe pub was boarded up when I was last in Rugby 5 or more years ago. Thankfully now in the safe hands of Black Country Ales. Great couple of halfs of their own beers, super crusty cob and really friendly landlord Dean. Fantastic keep it up !

A lovely friendly pub with a pretty garden very near a Greek takeaway with the smell of cooking pork drifting over making it feel like we were in a Greek taverna! Seb is an excellent host/landlord. Doesn't feel like your run of the mill town pub which is great for us "oldies" that want more than loud music 😁
